Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Turkey: Erdogan government has released hundreds of Islamic State prisoners from jails

Nov 7, 2019 1:00 pm By Robert Spencer

Rapidly re-Islamizing Turkey is not an ally or friend of the United States, and should be expelled from NATO.

“Erdoğan gov’t has released hundreds of ISIS prisoners from Turkish jails,” by Levent Kenez, Nordic Monitor, November 2, 2019:

Turkey has released hundreds of Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) prisoners from Turkish jails in the last year and a half, according to Nordic Monitor’s review of various official figures provided by Turkish leaders.

The most recent figure on ISIS prisoners, which included both those convicted and others who were in pretrial detention, was given as 1,163 on October 24, 2019 by Turkish Justice Minister Abdülhamit Gül, who shared the figure with reporters during a visit to the Turkish border town of Akçakale, across from Tel Abyad in Syria.

Gül, whose portfolio includes prisons and detention facilities in Turkey, had stated in February 2018 that there were 1,354 people affiliated with ISIS incarcerated in Turkish prisons, meaning that around 200 ISIS prisoners have been released by the government since then.

However, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced on October 10, 2019 that there were around 5,500 ISIS members in Turkish prisons, of which half were foreigners. Eight hundred fifty-one were already in repatriation centers, awaiting deportation, Erdoğan added. If that is figure correct, thousands of ISIS prisoners must have been released between October 10 and 24.

Similar contradictory statements were made last year by Turkish officials as they scrambled to rebut widespread international criticism that Turkey has been aiding and abetting jihadist groups including ISIS….

Typical jihadist! Why does Trump still support this bastard?!

I think he wants to give them whatever symbolic credibility they want, just like he did for Kim Jong Un or Xi Jin Peng. However, it’s important to note what the policy is on Turkey and ISIS: as long as the US remains on top of that, things are fine.

There is also a reverse psychology element to this: by welcoming Erdogan in the WH, the president is also encouraging the deep state – particularly the State Department – to turn on Turkey in a big way, so that it’s easy to crack down on them when needed or desired

If I was Trump America would no longer be a part of NATO – Effective TOMORROW MORNING.
They’ve gotta be kidding themselves, having THIS as part of NATO. NATO is no longer viable or credible, it’s just a f**king joke!

I could not agree more and maybe we should announce to the world that the United States has reinstated the Monroe Doctrine and will let the Europeans and the rest of the world slaughter each other. If this is all that the US has received from the trillions of dollars spent in an effort to make the Europeans self sufficient and safe, one might question the entire endeavor.

I’m all in favor of this: re-instating the Monroe doctrine. We have troops in 150 countries: we should pull them all into the US. As the murder of 9 Americans in Mexico on Monday showed, we have more serious security issues on our own border, and have no business policing the world, be it in Afghanistan, Kurdistan or anywhere else

    …………….

I was expecting this. Erdogan regularly enables ISIS.

Which puts the capture of ABaB’s sister & wife into context: since they’re in Turkish custody, they’re actually safe: Ankara can claim that it’s ‘imprisoning’ them while putting them in luxury jails, and setting up an internal secret communications channel w/ ISIS.

ISIS would never have been the force that it became w/o Turkish co-operation: they certainly weren’t getting it from the regimes in Teheran, Baghdad or Damascus

Yes, protective custody for the wives and other family members so no other nation may grab and question them regarding what they might know.

He threatens to “open the floodgates” for “refugees” to invade other nations. A captured isis member says that the turkey gave orders to the bag man about where to strike.

Turkey allowed isis members to come and go freely, for medical purposes, for food and other supplies and to sell the oil they had stolen. Turkey allowed wannabees from other countries to travel to Syria to join the terror group.

Releasing the prisoners should not surprise, or come as a shock, to anyone, anywhere, anytime. er dog an is worse than a rabid one on the loose. He is evil and supports evil whenever, and wherever, he can. His name should be er scum an.
