“This is not about religion, this is about criminality.”
Sure. But when members of one religion keep going in for this kind of criminality, doesn’t that warrant any scrutiny?
“Sydney man accused of joining ISIS, radicalising teens online,” by Sarah Swain, 9News, December 4, 2019 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
A Sydney man is accused of being an ISIS recruit who downloaded information on weapons and tried to radicalise teenagers online.
The 21-year-old was arrested this morning by the NSW Joint Counter Terrorism Team and is set to be charged with terrorism offences.
He allegedly downloaded information on weapons including knives and blunt implements which could be used in a terrorist attack.
Assistant Commissioner Ian McCartney from the Australian Federal Police said one of the offences the man is set to be charged with carries a life sentence.
They also allege he swore allegiance to ISIS plus attempted to influence people as young as 17 and 18 “to adopt and act upon his extremist views”.
Police said there were no specific targets, and say while the activity was not linked to last week’s London Bridge terror attack, the incident was a factor.
“If there’s a terrorist act committed in another country we’re always concerned what impact that will have,” Ass Comm McCarthy, said.
“He’s provided commentary in relation to other terrorist attacks that have occurred around the world.
“We’re satisfied the threat was not imminent
“We decided to act early, because we needed to, we were concerned.

In a way they are correct.
This is about the use of the tenets of a religion being used to justify murder and other criminal acts.

Why would Muslims even want to commit such murder if it were not for the tenets of Islam?

Wrong.
This is a religious war.

On the TV news reports on this arrest last night, they said that those two 17 or 18 year old Muslims that he had tried to recruit had been spoken to by the police and that they would be given some counselling or something similar to counter the poisoning this guy may have caused them. I immediately thought, oh, so now the taxpayer has to spend money trying to counter the “radicalisation” of these two people. The cost of trying to counter all this garbage that Muslim migration brings goes on and on. It’s like when they say they’ll bring back the people who went to fight with ISIS. So a fortune will need to be spent monitoring these people to make sure they don’t try to harm us non-Muslims and they’ll have to receive “de-radicalisation”, etc. The man they arrested was being monitored for months, which, once again, is a big cost to the taxpayer. The amount of trouble these Muslims cause is staggering. Our Buddhist, Christian and Jewish migrants don’t need monitoring like this and don’t cost us all this money and are generally a positive to our society. I bet it is the same in every society that has Muslim migration.

coming on the heels of an attack the police mentioned – the latest london bridge attack – casts any deradicalization efforts into doubt. the 2 victims who died were attending a conference promoting the success of the rehabilitation and early release of murderers, and to add to the irony, the *ATTACKER* was attending the *SAME* conference as a “success” story! of course the morons will never consider that, and as U said, tim, *will* waste taxpayer money “deradicalizing” all the pious muslims involved.
civilization is going to collapse if these trends are not reversed. people will not stand for being unprotected by the police and our lying leftist rulers. there may currently be more people who swallow this bulls**t than don’t, but it’s only because they don’t personally know anybody who has been a victim yet. when more of us know a victim than don’t, civil war will come. let us hope that the left over-reaches and grabs for the levers of power too early, so that they fail, and rational people can assume the offices of the republic (rather than civilization collapsing, the leftist government imposing martial law, and a leftist dictatorship (communist or fascist) being imposed in secret). i advise all to set aside stores of shelf-stable food and water, and consume the oldest supplies so that none go stale. more importantly, all should store *LEGAL* weapons and/or ammunition so that attacks by leftists and pious muslims can be repulsed when the collapse comes.

Thanks for the comment, b.a. freeman. I agree with you that these de-radicalisation projects seem to fail most of the time. I can imagine most of the Muslims involved are just laughing at the people trying to run the courses. I’m sure that murderous Muslim in London would have had a chuckle at the thought of how he was going go on his rampage at the event where he was going to be considered a “success” story. Look, I keep hoping that most people in our societies will wake up and force our politicians to become more like the Hungarian leader, Orban, and other leaders of the Visegrad countries and say, Nope, no more Muslims will be let in. By the way, not relevant to the fight against Islam, but if there are any readers of Jihad Watch who are planning to visit the east coast of Australia soon, I’d say cancel your trip until there is some rain here. All along the east coast, we have had severe drought and now over 120 bushfires (wildfires in the USA) burning and the air quality is horrendous. So I’d say, don’t waste your money visiting right now. On the TV news the other day, they showed Sydney Harbour (usually beautiful) and the smoke was so bad you could barely make out the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. It’s been terrible lately all through New South Wales and Queensland and just not a good place to be.

The idea that there is nothing we can do by wage a violent civil war is mistaken. Most people in the West are still in denial of Islam even being a problem.
tim gallagher says
I’ve said it before, gravenimage, but it amazes me that there are still so many people who don’t seem to have woken up to the danger islam represents. I think many people would still say that, well, most Muslims are pretty decent people and so, despite all the way out of proportion trouble they cause in every society around the world, it is worth letting Muslims into our non-Muslim countries as migrants. I used to think that way years ago, but have long since changed my mind. Keep them out because it is the only way to avoid all this strife they bring. How the hell can so many people (though I’m convinced it is getting less and less) be “still in denial of Islam even being a problem” as you say? You’d have to walk around in a constant daze (or maybe be just so busy) and never tune in to the news to be so unaware. You are someone who is very aware of the problem Islam represents, so it must frustrate you. How to wake people up on this problem, that has to be the main issue. It’s got to be the main goal. If enough people wake up, we’ll solve the problem.

*believe* me, GI, the *LAST* thing i want is a civil war; hence my emphasis on *LEGAL* efforts. the *ONLY* way that *any* republic can survive is if most of the people obey most of the laws most of the time. not a lot of laws are being broken by the lying hard-core left, but when they are broken, the offenses are ignored; furthermore, not only are offenses by non-leftist not ignored, the law is often stretched to the breaking point to indict and convict non-leftists, and “hate” laws (completely unnecessary) are being passed so that the resulting cloud of ambiguity can be used to ensnare those who commit thought crimes (like robert spencer and pamela geller, among others).
my comment was, more than anything else, meant to urge rational people to make legal preparations now, while it can still be done. i by no means meant that legal efforts to open the eyes of those who have not yet examined islam should be abandoned. i simply fear that it is too late, and am urging rational people to prepare for the worst (*AND* to pray for the best!).

Australia: Muslim accused of downloading info on weapons and recruiting Muslim teens for jihad

Wouldn’t that be “Islamophobic”?

When NSW police accountant Curtis Cheng was murdered in 2015, in Australia, one witness mentioned Cheng’s killer being “dressed in black robes”. A certain news outlet censored that information:
“Parramatta real estate agent Edwin Almeida spotted the killer and offered this perfectly accurate description to reporters: “I saw the man wielding a handgun, dressed in black robes.”
This newsworthy line was deliberately omitted from the Guardian’s online coverage, presumably because the murderer’s clothing may have hinted at a certain unmentionable faith.
“I won’t go into reports about what the man identified by eyewitnesses as carrying a gun was wearing or what he looked like,” the Guardian’s Calla Wahlquist decreed, which is an unusual approach to journalism.”
“THE instant response of normal people to acts of Islamic terrorism is horror and grief. The instant response of our leftist friends, however, is a desperate attempt to play down or outright conceal any Islamic component to those acts of terrorism.”
sidney penny says
This includes Assistant Commissioner Ian McCartney from the Australian Federal Police.
tim gallagher says
As you say, Sidney, that’s a pretty disgraceful approach to journalism by the Guardian’s Wahlquist. Of course, the Guardian is left wing. It is dishonest though. I notice that nearly all the TV news reports here in Australia (not just the far left ABC) seem to never mention the word Muslim when they report on a new terrorist attack or attempted terrorist attack. They’ll just say “a terrorist attack” and leave out the word Muslim. Of course, it is pointless because we all know it will have been a Muslim terrorist attack 99.9% of the time. On the Curtis Cheng murder, it was pointless for Wahlquist to try to cover up the truth because all the TV news reports showed the murderer running along the footpath outside the police station clothed in long black robes. The footage has been shown many times. So Wahlquist was wasting her time trying to cover for the Muslim murderer. There was no doubt about what ideology the murderer was representing.
