At around 6:00 pm on December 1, 2019, police officers in Neuhofen noticed a car parked in front of a bank with the engine running on the sidewalk directly in front of a crosswalk. They checked the vehicle and also the driver returning from the bank to his car – a 22-year-old Kosovar from the district of Linz Land. He was not willing to participate in the officers’ proceedings. After he was instructed that after taking the breathalyzer test that he would not be allowed to smoke, he lit a cigarette and refused the breathalyzer test. He underlined this by saying that he did not talk to a woman anyway, since they did not have any rights. The officers asked him to hand over the car keys. He did not comply, but got into his car and drove forward several meters. He then got out and started shouting at the officers. He announced that friends of his were already on the way to the incident. On the basis of these statements, the officers requested further patrols in support. These were used to block the 22-year-old’s car in such a way that he was prevented from leaving. After that, the man calmed down. He was brought to justice.
