Iran has been suffering under American sanctions; now Iranian President Hassan Rouhani is urging “Muslim nations …to deepen financial and trade cooperation to fight what he described as U.S. economic hegemony, using an Islamic conference in Malaysia as a platform to decry American sanctions against his country.”
Rouhani picked the right forum to lobby for support, given that Islamic leaders assembled in Malaysia to “revive the spirit of the Muslim world” and unite fellow Muslims that are currently at war with one another. The problem is that the Muslim world is so divided that the Organization of Islamic Cooperation saw the conference as a threat to its monopoly; Pakistan and Saudi Arabia snubbed the conference.
“Iran leader urges deeper Muslim links to fight US ‘hegemony,’” by Eileen Ng, Associated Press, December 19, 2019:
KUALA LUMPUR. Malaysia (AP) — Iranian President Hassan Rouhani urged Muslim nations on Thursday to deepen financial and trade cooperation to fight what he described as U.S. economic hegemony, using an Islamic conference in Malaysia as a platform to decry American sanctions against his country.
Rouhani proposed an Islamic financial payment with Muslim countries trading in local currencies and the creation of a Muslim cryptocurrency to cut reliance on the U.S. dollar and weather the effects of market fluctuation.
He repeated his assertion that the U.S. has used economic sanctions as the “main tools of domineering hegemony and bullying” of other nations….
Rouhani said the U.S. sought to cripple Iran with the “heaviest sanctions” but the country’s economy is on the mend and moving away from reliance on oil.
“The Muslim world should be designing measures to save themselves from the domination of the United States dollar and the American financial regime,” he said at the opening ceremony of a three-day conference that includes leaders from Turkey, Qatar and host Malaysia.
Rouhani suggested the creation of a special banking and financial system among Muslim nations, using local currencies for trade and giving each other trade privileges to deepen linkages….
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan launched a veiled criticism of the OIC, telling the conference that the platform that brings the Muslim world together was besieged by a “lack of implementation.”
“We still haven’t made any progress regarding the Palestinian cause, we still can’t stop the exploitation of our resources, we still can’t say ‘stop’ to the fragmentation of the Muslim world over sectarianism, that’s why,” said Erdogan.
Muslims account for 94% of worldwide conflict with one out of three weapons sold globally finding its way to the Middle East, he said. “The Muslims are using their resources for armament and for conflict and while doing so they are enriching the Western arm dealers,” he said….

Iran can pout all it wants about sanctions (which are a reaction to Iranian terrorist sponsorship and warlike provocations), but most Muslim nations are Sunnite and they will not support the Shi’ites. Saudi Arabia prefers to see Iran on the ropes.
Cry us a river, Rouhani.
The Iranians should help this kleptocrat retire and they should take back the money he stole from them.

Actually, groups like Hamas and the Muslim Brotherhood did once align w/ Iran, but w/ Turkey stepping into the picture to lead, they have a Sunnite alternative to Shi’ite Iran and don’t have to take that route. Not just that, their relations w/ Iran had been strained by the war in Syria, where Iran took the side of the Alawites and these groups the side of the Sunnites. Also, gratitude is unheard of in Islam and forget these groups – even the Shias of Iraq and Lebanon are now resenting Iran.
Yeah, the Iranians, if they succeed in toppling their regime, should recognize this and turn away from Islam – both Shia and Sunni

1) US hegemony for freedom and human rights = BAD
2) Iranian Shi’ite hegemony for enslavement and discrimination under Sharia = GOOD.

Among those who will not be acting on the proposal of Shi’a Iran oare Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E., Kuwait, Oman, Bahrain, Egypt, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Indonesia….In fact, only Qatar and Syria are likely to join Iran in this quixotic venture..

Not even Qatar, if they wish the US to play a mediatory role in their conflict w/ Saudi Arabia. As it is, they’re isolated by the Arabs, and if the US decides to endorse the Saudi POV – the president once did – and pull CENTCOM out of Qatar, they’re screwed. Beyond that, if Qatar chooses to get into bed w/ Iran, they too would be subject to retaliatory sanctions by the US.
Iran’s best hope is to form an alliance w/ Turkey, so that Turkey’s allies might consider supporting Iran – at least the ones that don’t get along w/ the US, such as Somalia. Not that that does much for them

Shocking! Couldn’t they use decent, respectable tools of domineering and hegemony, like mass murder and rape?
But I do wonder why Rouhani doesn’t simply ask Khamenei to issue a fatwa. That seems to get them going. Oh, but there’s a problem with that, isn’t there. No murder involved. I see why they didn’t go down that road. Hey Rouhani, good luck with getting a bunch of deadbeat corruption-ridden mono-sector nobody-lifts-a-finger economies to bail you out. You’d better insha-Allah bigtime, man. Because I tell you, Allah hasn’t willed anything good for you until now. Only the will of Donald Trump and Benjamin Netanyahu seem to be in play here. And what they will for Iran, seems to happen. Funny that.

Don’t be surprise if these men get a coalition going. I must check prophecy on this to see if these now muslim nations’ plans are featured.

The actual real bullies are the ayatollahs and mullahs who are in power in Iran because they empower bands of vicious and murdering thugs, who are called the “Revolutionary guards” to harass, bully to a deadly extent the girls and women who are trapped and forced to exist in that brutal malicious misogynistic Islamic tyrannical regime of Iran .
As this following example reveals.
That heinously cruel and murderous Islamic tyranny of Iran is very much stinking with brutal vicious and murderous violence against the Iranian people. Especially regarding females. Both girls and women. For example a teenage girl in Iran was talking to her boyfriend on the phone and then the Islamic state “police” walked over to her and shot her dead. They did that wicked and malicious thing to her because she was talking to her boyfriend and they also didn’t like her clothing. [1] That was a clear cut case of murder and vicious Islamic madness by Iran’s Islamic state “ police”, who call themselves the “Revolutionary Guards”, they got away with their hideous and malice –filled evil because the mullahs as well as other villains in power in that tyrannical Islamic regime .

Uh, what exactly will you be manufacturing and trading among Muslim nations that will lead to a wealthy, oil independent, economy? How does that “no usury” banking system stay in business, trust? Borrow from the Saudis? 🙂
Who believes Iran can become the next Japan(an economy built on human industriousness) with a workforce that excludes women and takes breaks 5 times a day for prayers? Pure delusion.

The true bullies are those in power in the heinous Islamic regime of Iran by the many heinous brutal ways they treat the Iranian people who suffer terrible under the cruel iron fist of this Islamic tyranny. The tyrannical Islamic is even false in its name. For it has the title of “The Islamic Republic of Iran.” It is Islamic for sure, but its falsely called a “republic.” This is because a real Republic comes from the Latin word; res-publica meaning “The property of the people” This is one thing that this brutal and harsh Islamic tyranny is not. For the mullahs and ayatollahs who have the strong and terrible power in this Islamic have much control. Even the Iranian parliament is much influenced by those ruling Muslim clerics. Those mullahs and ayatollahs of this Islamic dictatorship come down very hard on the human rights of the Iranian people through their ruthless gang of thugs who are called “The Republican Guard.” This is evil and despicable.
Furthermore, this hideous type of hard and oppressive tyranny is taught about in the Bible .For in Ecclesiastes 4 :1 in teaches about “the tears of the oppressed.” and about all the power being “on the side of the oppressors.” Likewise, in that same Bible book in 5:8 it informs the reader not to be naïve about such awful wickedness. For it teaches “If you see the poor oppressed…and justice and rights denied, do not be surprised at such things.” Moreover in Proverbs 15:15 it also teaches “All the days of the oppressed are wretched…” In addition, the Iranian president, Rouhani and ayatollah Khamenei may be described in Proverbs 28:15 which reads “Like a roaring lion or a charging bear is a wicked man ruling over a helpless people.” In short, the brutal and vicious Islamic regime of those two characters, just mention, as well as the other mullahs , ayatollahs and other Muslim tyrants who have such harsh and brutal control with their terrible oppression over the lives of the Iranian people , Proverbs 29:2 is thus very appropriate . For it teaches “When the wicked rule, the people groan. “ [N.I.V.]

I guess Iran wants more of that unearned oil wealth–most Muslim nations have very little besides this to contribute to any economy.

In Iran’s case, they do make carpets and rugs, but I’ve seen a lot of people prefer hardwood floors. Might be a bit different if we’re talking stone floors in South and East Asian countries
