I recently appeared on the 700 Club with Pat Robertson, discussion the Middle East peace process, why it always fails, and what a better approach would look like. All this is detailed in The Palestinian Delusion: The Catastrophic History of the Middle East Peace Process.
“The Palestinian Delusion: Why Every Middle East Peace Plan Has Failed, and What Must Be Done Instead,” CBN News, December 2, 2019:
Every negotiated settlement between the State of Israel and its Palestinian adversaries has failed to establish a stable and lasting peace. This is the history of what was attempted, why those failures were inevitable, and what must be done instead.
Every new American President has a plan to bring about peace between the Israelis and the Palestinians, and every one of them fails.
Every “peace process” has failed in its primary objective: to establish a stable and lasting accord between the two parties, such that they can live together side-by-side in friendship rather than enmity.
But why? And what can be done instead?
While this failure is a consistent pattern stretching back decades, there is virtually no public discussion or even a basic understanding of the primary reason for this failure.
Robert Spencer’s new book, The Palestinian Delusion, is unique in situating the Israeli/Palestinian conflict within the context of the global jihad that has found renewed impetus in the latter portion of the twentieth century and the beginning of the twenty-first. Briskly recounting the tumultuous history of the “peace process,” Spencer demonstrates that the determination of diplomats, policymakers, and negotiators to ignore this aspect of the conflict has led the Israelis, the Palestinians, and the world down numerous blind alleys. This has often only exacerbated, rather than healed, this conflict.
Pat Robertson talks with author and Middle East expert Robert Spencer about his new book, The Palestinian Delusion, on Wednesday’s 700 Club.
The Palestinian Delusion offers a general overview of the Zionist settlement of Palestine, the establishment of the State of Israel, and the Arab Muslim reaction to these events. It explores the dramatic and little-known history of the various peace efforts—showing how and why they invariably broke down or failed to be implemented fully. The Palestinian Delusion also provides shocking evidence from the Palestinian media, as well as statements from the Palestinian leadership, showing that negotiations between Israel and the Palestinians will never work.
But there is still cause for hope. Spencer delineates a realistic, viable alternative to the endless and futile “peace process,” that shows how the Jewish State and the Palestinian Arabs can truly coexist in peace—without illusions or unrealistic expectations.

ROBERT, Do you believe you may have a viable answer to this never ending issue between Israel and the Palestinians, let alone Hamas and other same groups who stand firm on the teachings of Islam in your new book?

Be a good idea to read it and find out.

American presidents have failed because all the plans are based on the false premise that a further reduction of Israel’s territory.
Great Britain authored this problem by not simply declaring Western Palestine to be the Jewish homeland and then protecting Israel until it was self-sustaining.

correction : … that a further reduction of Israel’s territory will lead to a lasting agreement. It will not, because the jihadists want ALL the territory.

Excellent little video. Pat Robertson asks extremely pertinent questions and Robert Spencer answers them succinctly and with historical detail.
‘Palestine’ was never the name of a country, but the name was applied by the Romans to de-nationalize it. Ironically, the Koran re-nationalized Israel by having Allah tell the ‘Children of Israel’ to ‘dwell in the Land’. So which ‘Land’ should the Israelites live in, if the Koran is not referring to Israel?
Some Muslims are thus convinced that the Jewish homeland is decreed by the Koran.

All American presidents have failed because, We Are Dealing With Islam Here! Good lord, what is so hard to comprehend about that? I can see one President falling for this delusion, but all? What on Gods green Earth is going on here?
David Rasch says
I think what is happening is that Americans believe in diplomacy, working thru issues to arrive at an acceptable outcome. These are moslems. They are the best of people and we non-moslems are the worst of creatures. Moreover, moslems are not obligated to obey kuffar law if it is in opposition to the koran. They, like the Chinese go their own way, confident the U.S. will do nothing in their onward march to conquer the world.

Good analysis.

Exactly. The elephant in the room continues to be ignored. The same ‘denial’ exists here in Britain.Every ‘aspect,’ will be covered and analysed ad infinitum except the ‘real ‘issue which will never be resolved peaceably .Namely Islam

Robert… Just like the Palestinian delusion.. Ps make a series on the Kashmiri or quasi-Pakistani delusion. Everything that makes sense between Israel and Palestine just as much makes sense with India and Pakistan… except of course the geographical location of these two never ending conflicts of Islam with infidels. And just like U say at the end: Any agreement of Israel with Palestine is one step towards the destruction of the world’s only Jewish state.. any agreement with Pakistan for India is one step towards the destruction of the world’s only Hindu majority state. And the same Hubidiyaah concept applies here too and has been demonstrated by repeated perfidies of Pakistan over broken ceasefire agreements and almost mind numbing relentless cross border terror attacks.

Regardless posterity will record Robert Spencer as one of the greatest warriors of the free world.. of this I have no doubt.. The way he conducts himself in interviews.. presenting cold hard facts after cold hard facts without losing his temper or composure and being extremely respectful and decent all the time.. is something to be emulated by all of us fighting this global pestilence called Islam. But as I have said here before.. Robert may alas get his full dues of honor and respect from the entire world only after the span of his natural life… and that would be a bitter tragedy for him as well as for all of us. Regardless, it is inspiring how he powers on day after day and never gives up. The days I have myself felt helpless against Jehaad in India, I just have to come to JW and read some of Robert’s stuff, esp his interviews and then I’m back again..

; Because slavery to religion has forever infantilized them, they don’t want “peace”. They want to be chattering, screaming monkeys, throwing poop at each other.

Isn’t it obvious?
The Moslem Palestinians want to claim Jerusalem and Israel for their own, thereby pushing out the Jews. Historically, Jerusalem was the first holy city for Moslems, not Mecca or Medina.
But guess what?
Moslems worship an Arab deity, not a Jerusalem deity.
This attempt to supplant Judaism and Christianity with Islam is not going to happen, and will not happen.

L.J. Middleton says
The real point of all this, without having read the book, is that there is no peace process with the Palestinians. That’s because there are no such Palestinians to hold a discourse or debate with, much less an ongoing war. Israel’s war is with the Islamic nations and these so called Palestinians are just their proxies. You can’t make peace with proxies because they hold no power to make any peace possible. As the Islamic World leaders would state to the world “So long as there are Jews and Christians in the Middle East it is the duty of Muslims to kill all of them.”
