Hezbollah and militia now chanting “Allahu Ackbar” – US Embassy Baghdad pic.twitter.com/2gUxwZ9uC6
— Iraqi Mourner Poso ?? (@JackPosobiec) December 31, 2019
This gives the lie to the establishment media claims about the meaning of “Allahu akbar.” It does not mean “God is great,” and is not a simple manifestation of Islamic piety. It means “Allah is greater,” i.e., greater than your god. The demonstrators besieging the embassy are proclaiming the superiority of Allah and Islam over the United States. And the best part is that in analyzing what is happening here, the first thing mainstream analysts in the State Department and elsewhere will do is ignore Allah and Islam.

US military out of the middle east and muslim lands now! I have been saying this for years, before they get blown out and dragged through the streets, just like in the film black hawk down. It is happening, and it’s time to drive them out!! OCCUPIERS and imperialist infidels must fall!

In Iraq? Now? The Iranians are the imperialists, occupiers, oppressors. And more and more Iraqi’s are seeing it, even many Shiites. Iran is in a downward spiral and it is dragging Iraq, Syria and Lebanon with it in its fall. Americans promote freedom of speech even if it is against them. Iranians and proxies react to protestors in Iran and Iraq With deadly violence, with approx 1500 dead in Iran and 450 in Iraq in the last few months.

Try to feed the hungry? You filthy Infidels have to be murdered…
Of course, Sabri S. *is* right that we should not lay down our lives futilely trying to civilize Muslims.
Leslie Fish says
I suspect that a large number of Americans — except for the frantically-dedicated Progressive/Socialist Democrats — have gotten that impression by now. It’s becoming obvious that World War Three will be fought not between any combination of Russia, China, and the US, but between the Jihadists and all the rest of the world.

The problem with ALLreligions is that each one believes that their God is better than all the others and will do anything to prove it.
Best explained by John Lennons song “Imagine”
gravenimage says
Note that faiths other than Islam are not out slaughtering people. False moral equivalence.
As for Lennon’s dippy song, note that his vision of a perfect world is one where there is *nothing* that is worth dying for–in other words, he would have advocated submitting to Islam without any resistance–including not protesting such Islamic horrors as child rape and genocide.
I actually find that pretty disturbing.
Wellington says
Some words are simply menacing and ugly. “Cancer” is such a word. “Allahu akbar” are two others.
James Lincoln says
Wellington,
Yes – simply menacing and ugly – even to leftist/Marxist/globalists.
Try hollering “Allahu akbar” at a Bernie Sanders fundraiser – and watch all the leftist / islam apologists try to find cover…
Leslie Fish says
Maybe somebody should do that little thing — in front of the cameras.

I’ve noted that before, James–even Islamophiles and Muslim apologists would be hitting the floor or running for the exits if someone screamed “Allahu Akbar!”.
Aussie Infidel says
Wellington, About 40 years ago, I once knew a lovely Anglo-Indian lady called Aisha Akbar – a friend of my mother-in-law who grew up in India. Aisha was from a Muslim background, but very well educated and never wore a hijab or practised her religion. Throughout my life I’ve known hundreds of Muslims. Some were wonderful people like Aisha, but for a whole host of reasons still under the yoke of Islam. There were a few ex-Muslims, but most simply went along with what the imam said – and never questioned or bothered to think for themselves. Then of course at the other end of the scale there were a few pious militants who always defended Islam against any criticism, and would gladly join the ranks of the jihadis – like these Hizballah militias besieging the US embassy in Baghdad,.
We can’t just judge all Muslims by the actions of a few, but those screaming “Allahu akbar!” like these militias, are the ‘head of the snake’, and need to be taken out. But as we know, that alone won’t solve the problem of Islam, and much more needs to be done. Let’s hope that Trump’s second term in office brings about much more than just superficial changes in the US attitude to this pox upon the planet.
gravenimage says
Aussie Infidel, your mother’s friend sounds like an *ex* Muslim.
And we cannot judge Islam by those who have left it, but by those who practice it.

“As you know that I am the ruler of the Christian nation I do know you are the ruler of the Muhammadan nation. The people of Al-Andalus give me money and gifts while we drive them like cattle. We kill their men and we make their women widows. We take the boys and the girls as prisoners and we make houses empty. I have told you enough and I have advised you to the end, so now if you make the strongest oath to me and if you go to Christian priests and monks and if you carry kindles before my eyes as a sign of obeying the cross, all these will not persuade me from reaching you and killing you at your dearest spot on earth. If the land will be mine then it is a gift to me. If the land will be yours and you defeat me then you will have the upper hand. I have told you and I have warned you about my soldiers who obey me. They can fill open fields and mountains, their number like pebbles. They will be sent to you with swords of destruction.” – St. King Louis IX

In showing utter agony, a Templar knight lamented:
Rage and sorrow are seated in my heart … so firmly that I scarce dare to stay alive. It seems that God wishes to support the Turks to our loss … ah, lord God … alas, the realm of the East has lost so much that it will never be able to rise up again. They will make a Mosque of Holy Mary’s convent, and since the theft pleases her Son, who should weep at this, we are forced to comply as well … Anyone who wishes to fight the Turks is mad, for Jesus Christ does not fight them any more. They have conquered, they will conquer. For every day they drive us down, knowing that God, who was awake, sleeps now, and Muhammad waxes powerful.[7]

To paraphrase Jesus from John 18:36– my kingdom is not of this world.
Justice is not measured by keeping score of earthly war victories despite Christian soldiers who felt the need to display the strength of the God they worshipped. I believe no one person or country goes unpunished for evil deeds even while they swagger with power. Often, the punishment is not immediate, but poetic, emphatic, and undeniably divine (paraphrase of Romans 12:19..Vengeance is mine said the lord….) I have seen this process at work too many times to deny what some would call coincidences. Every culture has its own expression to explain this phenomenon….what goes around comes around, bachi (Japanese), karma (buddhism), bad juju (W. Africa) etc. Too often people think if God doesn’t physically intercede immediately “He” either doesn’t exist, or is some inferior spiritual deity. As a converted atheist to Christianity, I say emphatically, the God of Abraham is the one true God and it’s not Allah.

My wife suggested that the embassy’s Christmas trees and other Yuletide decorations may have been spotted and reported to the rabble, which served as the trigger du jour for Muslim outrage. I think she may well be correct, and the Americans’ celebration of the holiday was a contributing factor spurring the riot.
gravenimage says
Good grief, commonsense. It’s not as though our forbidding the celebration of Christmas would make Muslims like us–it would just further embolden them.
Infidel says
gravenimage, I didn’t see commonsense suggest that they (the troops) shouldn’t have celebrated Christmas: I just saw him suggest that that was what triggered those mobs
gravenimage says
Could be, Infidel–my apologies to commonsense if this is what you meant.
I doubt with the physical double layers of security that any Muslims walking by would be able to just glance into the inner ring of the complex, though.
My guess is that this is Iran making a move with their proxies in Iraq.
But of course with Muslims attacking Infidels, the proximate excuse barely matters.
commonsense says
gi, you misunderstood. I never implied that those in the embassy should not have celebrated Christmas. But it’s okay. Perhaps I wasn’t being sufficiently clear. And a belated Merry Xmas and Happy New Year to you and yours!

Thank you, commonsense–it seems that Infidel was right about your comments. I should have realized that given you fine posting history here. My apologies to you.
And yes–a belated Merry Christmas and very Happy New Year to you and yours as well!

Graven Image wrote earlier: “faiths other than Islam are not out slaughtering people”. That’s true! Most faiths these days have learned – sometimes the hard way – that there are many people in the world who do not share their supernatural beliefs, and that’s something the Muslims have yet to do.
Most religions require their followers to simply ‘believe’ in their particular deity and his doctrines. Christians are told in John 3:15, “That whosoever believeth in him (Jesus) should not perish, but have everlasting life”. That doesn’t mean that Christians need proof that Jesus was the Son of God – or that there is a Heaven – or eternal life – or any other “supernatural being, thing, or principle” (the official Oz definition of religion); they simply have to BELIEVE those things without proof. That’s why religions are called faiths; they are simply belief without proof. And that’s fine; people should be allowed to believe whatever they like, as long as it’s not harming others.
The trouble comes about when over-zealous proselytizers try to convince people that what their holy book says is literally true – and if they won’t believe it, use force (either physical or psychological) to ‘persuade’ them. And the same can be said of the Muslims. They are asked to accept the literal truth of the Quran – which also commands them to use physical violence against anyone who rejects Muhammad’s irrational view of the world.
On the John Lennon song: I was never a Beatles’ or John Lennon fan, but his song ‘Imagine’ has become the de-facto Atheist anthem. Personally, I regarded Lennon as somewhat deluded and naive – a product of the ‘flower power’, hippie, and burgeoning green movements of the 1960s. But Lennon didn’t say “there is *nothing* that is worth dying for”; his actual words were, “Nothing to kill or die for”, which is simply expressing the hope that there would come a time when there were no enemies wanting to attack us, or that we didn’t harbour any beliefs or prejudices which were so dogmatic that we would go to war to defend them – which is a bit utopian and naive, but I don’t think Lennon was a bad person – just a product of his time. The only thing I can think of worth dying for is to preserve our freedoms, otherwise we would just become slaves to the whims of some dictator.
You say that Lennon “would have advocated submitting to Islam without any resistance – including not protesting such Islamic horrors as child rape and genocide”. I don’t think he was that kind of person at all. The very next line of the song is, “And no religion too”, which – despite all his involvement with Buddhism – would lead me to believe that he was an atheist. And from my involvement with the atheist movement for more than 60 years, I can assure you that no real atheist supports Islam. The only ones who do, are the pretend atheists on the Left of politics, who haven’t got a clue why they support such nonsense.
gravenimage says
Thanks for your reply, Aussie Infidel.
I didn’t say that Lennon would have liked converting to Islam–just that if he followed the beliefs enumerated in “Imagine” that he would have done nothing to oppose it.
I actually respect Lennon’s talent–but have a low opinion of this particular song.
There are a lot of Anti-Jihadist Atheists and Agnostics here who do not share these views.
Interestingly, Muslims condemn Lennon’s music–and “Imagine” in particular–as “Zionist music”:
https://www.thebereancall.org/content/muslims-warn-john-lennons-zionist-music
Of course, pious Muslims hate and would destroy *all* music if they fully come to power.
Despite this ugliness, I’d like to wish you a very Happy New Year!
Aussie Infidel says
Thanks GI, Lennon was a strange fellow – obviously talented, but like many of his ilk, somewhat naive. I didn’t go much for his music; I prefer the popular classics and dixieland jazz. No doubt there will always be people who have difficulty getting along with others of different persuasions.
Most human problems can be solved eventually with a bit of good will and compromise – all except Islam which is a totalitarian nightmare. If we do not fix that problem, we are all doomed to a life of subjugation and servitude.
A happy and prosperous 2020 to you and all our JW friends. May it be a turning point in our fight against this blight on humanity.
