Austria’s new coalition government — dubbed by CNN as “a balance of far right and environmental policies” — has announced new measures against “political Islam.” “The measures include a ban on Islamic headscarves for girls until they reach the age of 14 and a provision for putting potentially dangerous individuals in ‘protective custody’ to prevent them from committing violent actions.”
Sebastian Kurz appears determined to save his country from Islamization.
Back in May, Austria approved a “ban on headscarves for girls in primary schools,” which was specifically aimed at banning the oppressive hijab. Former Chancellor Sebastian Kurz has stated that “covering up small children is definitely not something for which there should be space in our country.” The ban drew opposition from the Islamic Faith Community in Austria, which said it would ask the Constitutional Court to reverse the ban. That group seems to have gone quiet, at least for now.
Kurz also has previously stated that he was positioning his country as a bridge between the “Visegrad group” of Eastern European nations and their Western counterparts. Under Kurz, Austria and the Visegrad group have been dedicated to public safety in the face of jihad attacks, mass rapes, no-go zones and escalating crime that have been sweeping Europe since the influx of Muslim migrants.
So far, the Austrian People’s Party’s alliance with the Greens seems to be working out, with Kurz calling it “the best of both worlds” as he resists Islamization while the Greens pursue environmental interests. But rest assured that globalist activists and Islamic supremacists will be testing the coalition for weak spots.
“Austria Considers Headscarf Ban to Counter ‘Political Islam,’” by John Hayward, Breitbart, January 2, 2020:
Austria’s coalition government on Thursday announced it is considering several measures to curb the influence of what Conservative People’s Party (OVP) leader — and once and future chancellor — Sebastian Kurz described as “political Islam.”
The measures include a ban on Islamic headscarves for girls until they reach the age of 14 and a provision for putting potentially dangerous individuals in “protective custody” to prevent them from committing violent actions.
Kurz said during his first term as chancellor that “radicalization and political Islam have no place in our country.” He invoked the 2015 “Islam Act” to close mosques that were accused of supporting extremism and engaging in subversive political activity. Among other features of the Islam Act was a ban on foreign funding of religious activities in Austria.
Headscarves were banned in May 2019 for girls younger than 10, a rule denounced as “shameless” and a “direct assault on religious freedom” by Austrian Muslims, and an act of “rightwing extremism” by Kurz’s political opponents. Kurz plans to raise the age to 14 during his return to office.
The proposal for “preventive custody” for “people for whom facts support the assumption that they pose a threat to public safety” was evidently inspired by an Afghan asylum seeker who went on a knife rampage in February, critically injuring four people. Another Afghan migrant was charged with killing two people in knife attacks in October.
Kurz, currently 33 years old, was the chancellor of Austria and the world’s youngest national leader until losing a vote of no confidence in May over a corruption scandal involving Vice Chancellor Heinz-Christian Strache.
While Kurz was not tarnished to any perceptible degree by the scandal, Strache’s right-wing Freedom Party (FPO) was booted out of the governing coalition. The OVP subsequently scored its best results ever in the snap September election, so Kurz is once again the world’s youngest leader – but this time his coalition partner is the Green Party, marking what nearly all observers saw as a pronounced shift to the left for Austrian politics.
The Greens also made big gains in September but still lag far behind OVP, with about 14 percent to OVP’s 37 percent of the vote. The Greens are actually only the fourth-biggest Austrian party, lagging behind the collapsing but still formidable Social Democrats and Strache’s uneasy former allies the FPO.
While the FPO has more votes than the Greens, it managed to alienate just about everyone else at the top of Austrian politics with the Strache affair and other scandals, so the Green Party — over the objection of many of its members — was courted and won by Kurz as a coalition partner….

This needs to start happening RIGHT NOW here in Australia!

Lot’s of luck with that, you let them in now try to figure out how to deal with the CULT…

Glad to see that Sebastian Kurz has returned to power in Vienna. Was disappointed last year when his government came apart. As for his partners being the Greens, I hope that they can do a deal where the Greens get what they want on climate change (w/o wrecking the Austrian economy) but in return, give Kurz what he wants while dealing w/ ‘political’ islam (overlooking the semantic gymnastics of the OVP)
I’d also like to see Salvini quickly return to power in Italy, and continue what he started, but this time as Prime Minister. Hopefully, Germany gets the AfD before it’s too late, and bold parties can reverse the trend in the Nordic countries as well as France
RichardL says
I don’t trust Kurz one millimetre. The AfD will be outlawed this year, the totalitarians ruling Germany have already declared major parts to be Neo-Nazi. Salvini is the real deal and if he takes Italy out of the Euro everything else will fall into place very quickly.

“New coalition government announces new measures to curb “political Islam”……..but islam IS ipso facto political, it’s a pseudo-theocratic political ideology and was never a ‘nice’, ‘benevolent’ religion in our Western sense. It’s like all this talk about so-called ‘islamism’ which has as much credibility as the utterly spurious ‘islamophobia’ – all weak attempts at concocted get-out arguments to avoid facing up to the reality of this evil proto-nazi ideology and taking appropriate action.

There is a chance that Kurz recognizes it, but uses this loaded term to defect from any criticism that he’s against religious freedom. It’s worth noting that even under the Hapsburgs of Austria, Muslims (in Bosnic-Hercegovina) had religious freedom, so if he tried reversing that, he’d be battered pretty heavily, especially by his Greenie allies
Yeah, Leftists will still accuse him of islamophobia, but remember, even right wing parties in Europe are scared to confront islam head-on. So it’s worth giving them the leeway of attacking some imaginary subset of islam while in fact taking on the religion as a whole. That way, only those who practice their own imaginary islam of the 5-pillars would skate free

Jayell,
Well put.
If you take the politics out of islam, it is no longer islam…

OH FFS!!! The West still don’t get it – Islam IS a political ideology! This Fascistic Bandit Desert Death Cult is dressed up as a “Religion”, & it is ALL about controlling EVERY aspect of Human Life, including Thought Control. It encourages the worst aspects of Human Behaviour, especially for the men. Get a grip on Reality.
Infidel says
Maybe Kurz does, but keep in mind, he’s coming to power while making an alliance w/ the Green Party. Also, even during the Austro-Hungarian empire, Muslims in Bosnia had freedom of religion. So he can’t look like he’s trying to reverse policy to even beyond that.
I’m fine w/ politicians elected on the plank of combating any form of islam publicly stating that that’s what they’re combating. As long as they crack down on Muslim criminals, cut benefits to Muslims as a whole and de facto ban any Muslim immigration, they’re on the right track

Strange times in Austria. Kurz has also appointed a Muslim woman as Justice Minister. That seems like a bad move to me.

Huge applause to Austria for recognising that the death cult of Islam is intrinsically political and must be opposed politically. Although it might actually be better to let them wear whatever they want and consider it a visible affirmation of criminal syndicalism………as it should be regarded wherever it occurs……..

Austria: New coalition government announces new measures to curb “political Islam,” including headscarf ban
…………….
Sounds promising…
Hoppel says
What does it change? Under the age of 14… What does it restrict or change? As long as women help groups for abused and raped Women in Europe see the Hijab and dark coloured hair as only protection against rape.
As long as the number of rapes reported show 90% by muslims the problem is a different. The Burkha and following the Hijab declare every other women free for rape (the original meaning that is still valid). Look what Burkha and Hijab bans have caused in other countries. So the connection is clear. So the ban of the hijab under 14 changes nothing, because it still claims to be part of religious freedom.
gravenimage says
Few Infidel women are adopting the Hijab.
And I think that *any* measures against Islamization are a good thing, whatever you may think.
Don’tlabelme says
I’m hopeful regarding Kurtz . However I think that face coverings should be outlawed, not hijabs. Also, legally stand up for Western values by coming down hard on polygamy, antisemitism, homophobia etc. Regarding Immigration, Western countries should not allow immigration from countries whose citizens, generally, have values so averse to the West’s.
AustrianMan says
Sounds nice and all, but Kurz is just an uportunist, in his early political career, he was smoothtalking with muslims
He still is, when he is confronted by them

Ridiculously pathetic! Islam IS a FASCISTIC Desert Nazi political ideology! A simple, straightforward fact! It permits & actively promotes Banditry & all the perversions known. As long as you’re a member, you can carry on at will. Even if you inflict them on other Muslims, one has the get out clause of: “…..they’re not Muslim enough.” A few weeks back in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, a Muslim man sexually assaulted a Muslim woman in the street. She was wearing a Full Burka. His excuse…… ” Well, she inflamed me & caused uncontrollable desires wondering what was underneath.” Result…… he went free. I don’t know what happened to the woman. At times the woman are imprisoned for “Blasphemy”. In Pakistan it’s reckoned 70%, possibly more, of female prisoners are the victims of rape/sexual assault & are thrown into prison for simply being the victim!
