Displaced anger at Trump instead of Iran is dangerous at a time when the oppressive, bloodthirsty Iranian regime is escalating its aggression. By now, everyone should know that appeasement of jihadists buys them time to escalate. 1400 years of history has shown that jihadis are only kept at bay by force, not appeasement. One person who clearly doesn’t know this is a Canadian businessmen made more news than he should have for his inane comments slamming Donald Trump for retaliating against Iran. Michael McCain, who is CEO of Maple Leaf Foods, blamed Trump for Iran’s shooting down of the plane. By so doing, he exonerates the rogue Islamic regime, which ascribes to a doomsday Islamic belief that it can create catastrophe that will hasten the coming of the twelfth Imam. Michael McCain also (arrogantly) insults the integrity of the anti-regime protesters, who won’t even walk on U.S. or Israeli flags out of respect.
I was interviewed by Frank Gaffney (time in 33:00) on Secure Freedom Radio about Michael McCain’s harmful and irresponsible politicizing of the Iranian attack on the Ukraine passenger jet that tragically saw the death of all on board. Mr. Gaffney also discussed with me Iran’s influence in Canada through its proxies.
“Maple Leaf Foods was trading down just under 1 per cent on Monday, to $24.84.”
“Maple Leaf Foods CEO criticizes the ‘narcissist in Washington’ after Iran deaths,” by Jake Edmiston, National Post, January 13, 2020:
The chief executive of Canadian processed meat giant Maple Leaf Foods Inc. drew international attention on Monday after using the company’s Twitter account to admonish the Trump administration over last week’s Flight 752 disaster in Iran.
On Sunday evening, Michael McCain launched a series of emotionally charged Tweets at the U.S. president, accusing him of setting off a “needless, irresponsible series of events” that led to the crash, which claimed the lives of 57 Canadians. Among the victims were the wife and 11-year-old son of one of McCain’s Maple Leaf colleagues.
“I am very angry, and time isn’t making me less angry,” McCain wrote on Maple Leaf’s official account. “U.S. government leaders unconstrained by checks/balances, concocted an ill-conceived plan to divert focus from political woes.”
Janet Riley, Maple Leaf’s vice-president of communications, said McCain “gave great thought” to his remarks.
“He asked us to post it and we did,” she said.
Though Maple Leaf hasn’t released details on the staff member who lost his family in the crash, Riley confirmed that McCain knew him personally.
McCain — a high-profile Canadian executive, whose family is behind the famed McCain frozen french fry empire — controls 38.9 per cent of Maple Leaf Foods’ shares, according to an April 2019 management circular.
Maple Leaf has been steadily pushing into the American market, growing sales of its meat products while also emerging as a competitor to California-based Beyond Meat in the plant-based protein category…..

And McCain, the trust-funded son of a billionaire is NOT a narcissist? Huh?
McCain is SMUG, UNREAD, UNSTUDIED and UNWILLING TO LEARN on JIHADISM, TAQIYYA, SHI’ISM, the IRANIAN REVOLUTION, Iran’s TERRORIST NETWORK, and Iran’s NUCLEAR BOMB program.
McCain is a knee-jerk SPONTANEOUS EXPERT who dismisses anyone who has studied and MASTERED the above topics, because he HAS MORE MONEY THAN THEM and he thinks his cash makes him smart. It doesn’t.
McCain’s company lost 18% of its income last year, so his board of directors should start thinking he isn’t so smart as CEO either and REPLACE McCain swiftly before it loses another 18% of its income in 2020.
Any other CEO who presided over such a drop in income would be out the door.
Informative, necessary article by Christine D-W. This guy supports the MASCOT Jihadi Justin in Ottawa and helps to keep that King-Sized IDIOT and NARCISSIST in power.
Is black-face, know-nothing Trudeau NOT a NARCISSIST for thinking he had the stuff to lead a G-7 country?
What a bunch of arrogant narcissists the Lib-Jihadists are.
Robert Porter says
Just another idiotic liberal Canadian who reflects the utter stupidity and ignorance of Justin Trudeau and Canada’s useless media that supports his nonsense views. This utter foolishness from Michael McCain is the product of his “great thought”. I’d hate to see what his less than “great thought” produces.
For more than two decades Iran has been the world’s premier exporter of Islamic terrorism and General Soleimani was its chief architect in creating terror groups – like Hezbollah in Lebanon – and was responsible for the death of thousands, yet this half-wit, Michael McCain, blames Trump for Iran shooting down a jet airliner – and this after Iran had rained 22 missiles into Iraq and onto American installations. The ‘brilliance’ of this fool and his staff is utterly remarkable, but never mind this is Canada today where liberal idiocy and total lack of objectivity is the order of the day. By now probably half of Canada’s population has bought into this complete rubbish. For more entertainment in moronic foolishness, just watch Katie Simpson on CBC, a network that no sane person believes and is in synch with clowns like Justin Trudeau and Michael McCain.
And by the way, McCain’s french fries are lousy, which is why I gave up buying them.

Michael McCain’s has duty to do no harm to his company. Others own a majority of stock ownerhip.
Why would any executive make a political statement about something that does not have anything to do with its business?
Michael McCain reminds me of Barney Fife!

Barney Fife was incompetent, but not a moral idiot as is McCain.

Both Barney Fife and McCain made Strawman arguments that don’t hold water. The Iranian mullahocracy is one of the greatest destabilizing forces in the world through its export of terrorism.
Iran began it’s war on the US in 1979 and has continually threatened the US in every way possible without starting a war. When Iran planned and executed an attack on the US embassy in a separate country (Iraq), surely, that is an act of war.
The response of the US was a very moral and ethical one, since the planner and director of the attacks was punished, rather than troops just obeying his orders or innocent civilians.

There is no shock and awe when it comes to McCain’s pointing the fickle finger of blame at the President. The latter of whom has saved copious lives, Americans, Iranians, and other innocents from the hands of terrorists under the charge of the now neutralized Qassem Soleimani. His mindless utterance, of course, aligns with that of Canada’s Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, or others of the West’s faux-Democracies. These people are not merely shortsighted, but base-ignorant when it comes to the terrorism network infesting the geopolitical milieu, specifically the Terror Regime Iran.
These people steeped in a mindset of Marxist/Leftist/Liberal contempt for Trump, betray their perfidy and shallowness. It is the likes of Trudeau, McCain, and numerous Iran, Jihad apologists who, if permitted to disparage Trump while aligning with not only Iran but other merchants of death and terrorist states, some of which reside within their nation’s provinces, and cities. Ignorance is bliss for the likes of Trudeau, his public relations enterprise, the CBC. McCain, Trudeau, or others of this Trump blame game are of the ignorance is bliss clique. Their shallowness reveals, betrays whose side for which they opted, Islam, terror, or others bent on the West’s end. Sadly, the two mentioned are but a trifling of the extensive collection of Iranian collaborators.
Peter Dale says
Mr McCain’s cousin is married to Justin’s Minister of Finance. This outburst was certainly not spontaneous, but a way for the Liberals to attack Trump without it being seen as a direct criticism from Justin. Interestingly, enough for a President of a Food Company, Mr McCain’s moral stance was not very strong when Maple Leaf meat products were recalled after people got sick from eating them. He never offered to pay compensation to them. Oh, well, I guess that compassion, care and concern are like beauty: in the eyes of the beholder.
Terry Gain says
McCain’s, along with Home Hardware, has been pushing Middle Eastern men in its commercials. I have added them to the list of companies I boycott. It is obvious that President Trump has de-escalated tensions with his removal of Soleimani from the battlefield and that he was in no way responsible for Iran shooting down a passenger plane. Most Canadian liberals have a severe case of TDS. Except for Trudeau, it has made them very stupid. Trudeau has always been stupid.

Canada: CEO of Maple Leaf Foods blames “the narcissist in Washington” for Iran’s shooting down Ukraine jet
………………..
What insanity is this? It was Iran that was shooting off missiles at their own civilian airport.
But why acknowledge there is anything wrong with Muslims when you can blame it all on the civilized United States? Just disgusting.
And he specifically said, “A narcissist in Washington tears world accomplishments apart”–how is a terrorist targeting US Embassies a “world accomplishment”? McCain does not say.
Rex says
No wonder, McCain, like his country’s president, is a stupid, dangerous knuckle head, obviously not able to understand the danger and attacks Christianity has had to face ever since the paedofile Mohamed heard voices 1400 years ago. Usually, people hearing voices nowadays are locked away and put under heavy sedation. Blaming Trump for Islam and its teachings is akin to support for FGM, child abuse, honor killings, death penalty for leaving a islam and for homosexuality, all crimes which should be punished in kind: eye for an eye. Applicable for McCain and his ilk anytime.
gravenimage says
I doubt this fool McCain knows anything about Islam and its horrors. He’d probably consider it “racist” to suggest it.

Maple Leaf Foods has a large Muslim customer base to answer to. One of their brands is Mina Foods which offers ready-to-eat Halal meat meals in the freezer section of large supermarkets. Which means they deal with Halal meat providers, or have their own Sharia-compliant slaughterhouses. Mina also offers Halal food services for venues and catered conferences and large events. Maple Leaf is headquartered in Mississauga, Ontario – a large suburb of Toronto with a large Muslim population. The area has lots of mosques and has provided the Liberal Party with lots of votes. Which means Maple Leaf Foods has a large Muslim work-force requiring a prayer spaces during the workday. It’s no wonder the head of the company feels a need to express his pro-Muslim feelings.

The editor of Iran Wire responded on BBC by saying that he would go one step further; that Iran itself was causing the escalating circumstances by promoting terrorism and provoking the US and other nations for 40 years now. And more recently by letting its proxies 10 or 11 times attack US bases with rockets, and attacking US Embassy.
It is so outrageous for McCain to blame the US for reacting to Iran’s provocations and also to pretend Iran had no choices/ responsibilities when it fired 15 missiles at the US base and then did not shut down Tehran’s airspace. Some, in IRAN, even theorized it intended to use the airliner as “human shield” against US retaliation.
McCain shows blatant double standards; the discrimination of lower expectation. Clearly the Iranian leadership was not completely innocent, not even for him. But liberals like him do not even bother to hold the Iranian leadership accountable, as if the Iranians were something like animals (unable to change) for whIch it is not reasonable to hold them as accountable as the Western government that responds to them.
Demsci says
Also, sooner or later someone could well hold liberals like McCain accountable by the same absurd high standards that they/ he holds Donald Trump to. Meaning that every unforeseen connected event with his decisions is HIS fault. Two sides can play that game.

Maybe he sees new markets for his Bacon & Pork Products. something has to mucking up his basic judgement.

Yes, the pathetic Trudeau virus … arrogance dressed up with virtue-signalling. They are all hypocrites. The Lib-Jihadists are the Quebec and Maritimes welfare party, syphoning the cash from the West and bestowing it no the East while protecting eastern monopolies. It’s so very corrupt. The Lib-Jihadists are ruled by a number of mega-wealthy families. They need the Muslims to sway the vote in many urban ridings so they are constantly sucking up to them and bringing as many into the cities as possible to overrule all the ridings west of Quebec.
It’s a true conspiracy.
