“A billboard up this month in Dallas is designed to encourage dialogue on the fundamental teachings of Islam.”
Jihad Watch has for years provided information about “the fundamental teachings of Islam” and those who follow them. The Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), which is responsible for the billboards, is an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas jihad terror funding case.
“The Muslim Jesus” campaign was launched by a Chicago-based group called GainPeace. The group does community outreach for the Islamic Circle of North America. Sabeel Ahmed is the executive director of GainPeace.
And in Canada, the Bridging Gaps Foundation launched its first “‘Jesus in Islam’ exhibition at one of Vancouver’s biggest cathedrals – Christ Church Cathedral in Downtown Vancouver, in collaboration with Masjid al Salaam and Education Centre.” It was an effort to “bridge gaps” and promote “dialogue,” allowing people to “experience the Quran.” Never mind the genocide Muslim are committing against Christians in Africa and the Middle East. Those Christians have first hand experience of the Qur’anic verse “kill them wherever you find them” (Quran 2:191). This, of course, was omitted from the “dialogue.” In Nazareth, the birthplace of Christ, some years ago a Qur’an billboard (featuring Qur’an 4:171) warned Christians not to “exceed the limits in your religion” by believing in the Trinity and divinity of Christ. This is what that poster read, and it indicates what the “Jesus in Islam” initiatives are really about, and the inferior place of Christians in Islam:
“O people of the Scripture (Christians)! Do not exceed the limits of your religion. Say nothing but the truth about Allah (The One True God). The Christ Jesus, Son of Mary, was only a Messenger of God and His word conveyed to Mary and a spirit created by Him. So believe in God and His messengers and do not say: ‘Three gods (trinity)’. Cease! It will be better for you. Indeed, Allah is the One and the Only God. His Holiness is far above having a son.”
Isn’t it peculiar that the only “acceptable” discussion sessions, dialogues, conversations about Islam are the ones that promote it falsely as a religion of peace and tolerance? Any opposing dialogue and discussion renders one “Islamophobic” and “racist.”
Such deceptions are outrageous. Those Muslims who practice peace are not the problem. It is the multitude of aggressive, expansionary Islamic supremacists and jihadists who are the problem. This is what needs discussion.
“Dallas Billboard Seeks To Spark Conversation About Islam,” by , Texas Standard, January 14, 2020:
A billboard up this month in Dallas is designed to encourage dialogue on the fundamental teachings of Islam.
The billboard on Interstate 45, southeast of downtown Dallas, features the message: “Find Jesus in the Qur’an, Muhammad in the Bible.”
“The Muslim Jesus” campaign was launched by a Chicago-based group called GainPeace. The group does community outreach for the Islamic Circle of North America. Sabeel Ahmed is the executive director of GainPeace.
“Our main purpose is to build bridges, and to erase the misconceptions,” Ahmed said. “We want to educate our fellow Americans, giving them an opportunity to look into Islam, to read about Islam through our website and billboards.”
The goal of the billboard is to let the public know that Jesus is not only a part of Christianity, he is also a part of Islam. Ahmed said people in other faith traditions may have the misconception that Muslims don’t believe in Jesus and the Virgin Mary. They want to address that.
“Jesus is mentioned with love and respect and honor more than 25 times in the Quran,” Ahmed said. “Mary the mother of Jesus is likewise mentioned 32 times in the Quran.” ….
“Bridging Gaps Foundation Brings Jesus In Islam Exhibition to Vancouver’s Christ Church Cathedral,” Bridging Gaps Foundation, January 5, 2020:
On January 5th, 2020, the Bridging Gaps Foundation launched our first “Jesus In Islam” exhibition at one of Vancouver’s biggest cathedrals – Christ Church Cathedral in Downtown Vancouver, in collaboration with Masjid al Salaam and Education Centre.
Over 300 members of the cathedral visited the exhibition, spoke to our volunteers and connected with the Muslim community. The cathedral also allowed us to recite the Islamic call to the prayer (adhan) out loud and offer the Islamic noon prayer which were witnessed by the public.
The exhibition also allowed people to experience the Quran by listening to some verses in the original Arabic language along with the translation. We were able to share many copies of the English translation of the Quran and other literature on Islam and Jesus (pbuh).
The “Jesus In Islam” campaign aims to educate Muslims and non-Muslims on the life and teachings of one of the most noble Messengers of God, Jesus [peace be upon him (pbuh)].
Apart from promoting information sessions in various mosques on the Islamic perspective of Jesus (pbuh), we have formed a team of volunteers that can engage with the wider community and educate them on the Islamic perspective of Jesus (pbuh). Working with other partner organizations, we intended to set up a beautifully designed exhibition on the life of Jesus (pbuh) at various Mosques, Churches and other public institutions all across BC….
