You will likely not hear about this anywhere but here. But just imagine if the roles were reversed (which never happens; nor should it). Then it would be screaming international news.
“Coptic Houses Set on Fire,” International Christian Concern, January 4, 2020:
01/04/2020 Egypt (International Christian Concern) – Egyptian Christian houses were set on fire the evening of December 24th in Qena, according to Copts United News. The incident occurred just days before Coptic Orthodox Christians celebrate Christmas on January 7th. The arson was done because the Christians had wanted to pray together in the days preceding Christmas. The village had requested that their church become legalized one year ago but no progress has since been made.
The presence of churches is a highly controversial issue within Egypt. The country’s laws heavily regulate this process, although less so compared to previous years. Churches are often an unwelcome presence in villages, even in cases where the population has a strong Christian demographic. Islamic extremists often do all within their power to prevent churches from operating, and to discourage Christians from living comfortably within villages.

Correct but I can advice you as a Coptic that sometimes Copts United falsifies some stories for various reasons although most of the news on Copts United is true but some are made up from Coptic activists for political and self benefit motives.

Uh huh. Amiri no doubt knows that under Shari’ah that the victims are not even allowed to complain about their plight.
Note the idea that being able to report on persecution is “self benefit motives”.

Gravenimage,
Why are acts such as these not considered a war crime against humanity? After all what is more cultural than the homes of innocent people attempting to hold to their beliefs and celebrate their most cherished savior who lived and died for their salvation while hurting no one?

Damn good question, Ray.
James Lincoln says
Ray Jarman,
Those acts SHOULD be considered to be a war crime against humanity…

The discriminatory Pact of Omar (which forbids the building of new churches) is the default position of Islam towards religious minorities under Islam. To forbid Christians to worship privately is a clear violation of the freedom of religion.
Whether consciously, unconsciously or surreptitiously, the Pact of Omar is implemented wherever Muslims have political power. The post-Muslim Brotherhood Egypt is the same as the discriminatory Egypt of before.

The UK needs a Winston Churchill as much NOW as they did during World War II…

Thousands of years ago, satan the devil began to lie and even to impersonate the True God. This demon has been at war with those who stay faithful to our Creator ever since Abel was slain by his brother, Cain, the beginning of the “seed” of the devil.
The Bible says that this warfare between the “sons” of God and the “sons of demons” would continue as long as the devil is allowed to exist and exercise his limited power among mankind.
What the moslims are doing…and what china is doing…to Christians living among them, is a continuation of this warfare. It will continue until the devil is seized and taken from this planet. Soon to happen, from all indications, and fulfillment of Bible prophecy. Christians know and understand this.

God, I hate Islam.

I spent a fair amount of time in Egypt during the mid-1990s while on active duty with the U.S. Navy.
It has gone downhill ever since – particularly following the “Arab Spring”…

Thank you, James–as I thought. Of course, it would likely be even worse under Morsi. Damning with faint praise, though.

The big all masterful all knowing Islam Moslem Egyptian who denies a cross on top of a church building denies a church building denies public and outdoor worship denies wearing of a cross is nothing but a coward afraid a few Christians may pray together.
Islam can pray have buildings and public display but Christians can’t hypocrites.
The big all masterful all knowing is coward and hypocrite.
Afraid of Christians. Afraid of Christians.
No freedom of religion for Christians Islam is from hell.
Amiri says
Spot on Battle this happens in mostly Muslim backward villages in Qena region, the whole of Qena region is around 35% Christian who have doubled in the past 100 or so years. These rare incidents should be overcome by enforcing the law equally it is best for the Sisi Government to pressure Government officials in the Government area to stop these hypocritical tactics and also security officials. Law needs to be enforced properly to these terror incidents in order to deter others. Simple as that.

The idea that persecution of Christians is a rarity in Egypt is absurd–as is the idea that this has nothing to do with Islam or the Egyptian government:
