Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Five Muslims from US, UK and Canada now indicted over illegal exports for Pakistan’s nuclear program

Jan 23, 2020 12:00 pm By Christine Douglass-Williams

Jihad Watch reported several days ago that two of these Muslims had been indicted. Now the number is up to five.

“The indictment of five men in the US for allegedly running an international network that purchased sensitive goods for Pakistan’s nuclear programme not only posed a threat to America’s national security interests but also to the delicate balance of power in the region, according to a senior US law enforcement official.”

It isn’t the first time Pakistan has been accused of illegally getting hold of foreign materials for its nuclear program.

As far back as the mid-70s, Pakistan was said to be “accumulating fuel for nuclear weapons, enriched uranium and plutonium” in its nuclear competition with India. Foreign collaboration was key. According to a report, “Forget North Korea: Pakistan’s Nuclear Weapons Program Is Truly Terrifying“:

The country was particularly helped by one A. Q. Khan, a metallurgist working in the West who returned to his home country in 1975 with centrifuge designs and business contacts necessary to begin the enrichment process. Pakistan’s program was assisted by European countries and a clandestine equipment-acquisition program designed to do an end run on nonproliferation efforts. Outside countries eventually dropped out as the true purpose of the program became clear, but the clandestine effort continued.

Islamabad is playing the victim and accusing the U.S. of being oversuspicious, as Pakistan “has genuine socio-economic development needs involving utilisation of equipment, items and technologies, some of which might also be dual-use technologies.” The same excuse has been employed by Iran, as it continued to increase its nuclear enrichment under the pretext of other economic uses. Although Pakistan is no Iran, it is a state funder of jihad terror that knows well how to play a double game; it energetically works at exporting Islamic blasphemy laws, and cracks down mercilessly on its Christian population.

Although it is good news that the five men were charged, the bad news is that it is yet another indication among many of just how deeply infiltrated America and other Western countries have become by jihadi interests.

“US charges 5 over illegal exports for Pakistan’s nuclear programme; Islamabad says no information,” The Economic Times, January 17, 2020:

WASHINGTON/ISLAMABAD: The indictment of five men in the US for allegedly running an international network that purchased sensitive goods for Pakistan’s nuclear programme not only posed a threat to America’s national security interests but also to the delicate balance of power in the region, according to a senior US law enforcement official.

The US Department of Justice on Wednesday said a grand jury has indicted five, all associated with the front company ‘Business World’ in Rawalpindi in Pakistan, including an 82-year-old man, for operating an international procurement network to export US-origin goods for Pakistan’s nuclear programme.

The five were identified as Muhammad Kamran Wali, 41, of Pakistan; Muhammad Ahsan Wali, 48, and Haji Wali Muhammad Sheikh, 82, both of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada; Ashraf Khan Muhammad of Hong Kong; and Ahmed Waheed, 52, of Ilford, Essex, United Kingdom. None of them has been arrested, although arrest warrants are pending.

“The defendants smuggled US-origin goods to entities that have been designated for years as threats to US national security for their ties to Pakistan’s weapons programmes,” said Assistant Attorney General for National Security John Demers.

“The alleged behaviour of these five individuals presented more than a violation of US export laws, it posed a potential threat to the national security interests of the US and to the delicate balance of power among nations within the region,” according to Jason Molina, Acting Special Agent in Charge, Homeland Security Investigations.

According to the indictment, between September 2014 and October 2019, the five operated an international procurement network of front companies that existed to acquire US-origin goods for the Advanced Engineering Research Organisation (AERO) and the Pakistan Atomic Energy Commission (PAEC).
They exported US-made goods to the two Pakistani entities, placed on the US Commerce Department’s Entity List, without export licenses in violation of federal law, the officials said.

The indictment identified 38 separate exports from the US over the years by the five involving 29 different companies from around the country. None of the US companies is alleged to have been complicit in the illegal exports, a statement from the Justice Department said…..

Good to have a bit of levity on this grim subject, FYI! I love your “Abdoools”. Like “Team America: World Police”, with the “Mohammad” scene, where someone calls “Mohammad!” and every Muslim in the area answers.

It will be interesting to see if Canada’s MSM reports on this. Mississauga is the home of Liberal MP, Iqra Khalid, who is the author of M-103, which is a blatant attempt to impose Islamic blasphemy laws. I understand that she has connections the Muslim Brotherhood.

I first heard about AQ Khan during the Iraq war. I believe that the Iraq War ( perhaps Gadaffi). exposed his nuclear network. Unfortunately George Bush was too stupid to make this an issue.

I do not understand why Pakistan having nuclear weapons is not more of a concern.

Muhammad Kamran Wali, Muhammad Ahsan Wali, Wali Muhammad Sheikh, Ashraf Khan Muhammad and Ahmed Waheed….

Hmmmm…I wonder what do these five have in common besides their nationalities?

Pakistan could easily be brought to justice by the UN if it did not have China as its godfather/protector/lender.

Beijing is completely amoral in its foreign policy (and in all its other policies). No wonder they’ve allied themselves to and are sponsoring the rogue islamic state of Pakistan. The Europeans ought to be helping the US counter communist China’s rampant subversion of International Law in the South China Sea and beyond but they’re just too cowardly and too greedy to oppose their chinese business partners.

Canada’s current PM, J. Trudeau, gave Pakistan $2 billion in 2018, pretending it was aid. Aid for what, an increased Islamic nuclear weapons program? Probably. Trudeau hates Canada.
