The unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas jihad terror funding case, CAIR, claims discrimination yet again, this time over chaos at the Canada-U.S. border.
Dozens of Canadians and Americans of Iranian descent say they were held and interrogated at a U.S. border crossing in B.C. over the weekend as tensions between Iran and the U.S. heat up.
Due diligence should be expected, but not according to Sam Sadr, “an Iranian-Canadian who travelled to the U.S. using his Canadian passport.” He complains that “he was held at the border for eight hours, during which time he saw dozens of other Iranians held, including children.” Difficult as it was, it is unsurprising, but he claims he was very surprised, in fact, shocked:
“This is the first time I put my feet in the U.S. I told the border person this is very [shocking] and called discrimination.”
A personal example: I was raised in Canada but born in Trinidad, an island with (surprisingly) the highest recruitment for the Islamic State in the Western hemisphere. It is also the only Western country to experience an Islamic coup attempt, which was in 1990. Had Trinidad jihadists been at a point of escalating confrontation with America, and Muslim Trinidadians were protesting against America in the streets, calling America “terrorist” and celebrating and promoting jihad, I personally would expect to face a great deal of scrutiny when traveling to the U.S. It would simply be stupid not to. Sadr is from a country devoid of human rights, a hellhole featuring the wanton murder of citizens and arbitrary imprisonments, but notice that he has no appreciation for the peace, rule of law and security that America gives him. And as always, CAIR puts his “rights” above concerns for national security.
Canada also has a unique problem pertaining to Iran. In September 2012, Iran’s embassy in Ottawa was shut down for security reasons by the previous Conservative Government of Canada. Just prior to the closure, it was discovered that a a tight network of Iranian terrorists was expanding a fifth column in Canada. Iran had been using the Canadian embassy to mobilize Islamic Republic loyalists to infiltrate the Canadian government and, some terrorism experts warned, attack the United States. My article in the Gatestone Institute a month before the embassy was closed, “Shut Down Iran’s Embassy in Ottawa,” addresses the extent of Iranian influence in Canada.
“Lawyer describes chaos at border as Iranian-Canadians report being detained,” by Nicole Bogart, CTV News, January 6, 2020:
TORONTO — Dozens of Canadians and Americans of Iranian descent say they were held and interrogated at a U.S. border crossing in B.C. over the weekend as tensions between Iran and the U.S. heat up.
According to the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR), more than 60 Iranian nationals and American citizens were held at the Peace Arch border linking B.C. to Washington state after attending an Iranian pop concert in Vancouver.
Among those reportedly held for questioning included Iranian-Canadians.
Sam Sadr, an Iranian-Canadian who travelled to the U.S. using his Canadian passport, says he was held at the border for eight hours, during which time he saw dozens of other Iranians held, including children.
“This is the first time I put my feet in the U.S. I told the border person this is very [shocking] and called discrimination,” Sadr told CTV News Channel Monday.
Len Saunders, a Blaine, Wash.-based immigration lawyer, witnessed what he described as “chaos” at the border crossing first-hand. Speaking to CTVNews.ca by phone from Washington state, Saunders said there were so many people waiting to speak to officials, they were given foodbecause of the delays. He says two of his clients were held by border agents.
“One recently became an American citizen and they were taken into secondary and questioned for four to five hours with regards to their family ties to Iran; parents’ information; siblings’ information; what they do for work; and when they travelled there,” Saunders said during an interview on CTV News Channel Monday.
“It was basically a dragnet of anyone who was born in Iran coming through the local port of entry over the weekend.”
What concerns Saunders most is his client’s claims that when she volunteered to withdraw her application for entry, she was told she was not allowed to leave.
“It’s troubling,” he said by phone. “Usually you’d think if you knock on the door of someone’s house you can leave whenever you want, but they weren’t letting them leave.”
CAIR claims that those detained had their passports confiscated and were questioned about their political views and allegiances….

In other words, Hamas terrorists and their supporters don’t want anyone to know that they are plotting and supporting terrorism. (Shhhhh … don’t say the ‘T’ word.)
Keeping Islamic terrorists out of any country is an important way to maintain the safety of citizens and keep the terrorists from blowing the citizens up, poisoning their water, or flying airplanes into their office buildings.

Dual citizenship means dual loyalties – serving two masters. If Iranian-Canadians wish to be viewed as Canadians, then be Canadians. Dual citizenship should be universally prohibited. If you receive a new citizenship the old one should be canceled. Allowing dual citizenship is as nutty as allowing any woman who can sneak into the US to birth a US citizen.
abad says
I agree 1000% at prohibiting dual citizenship.

There was a time when dual citizenship made sense in Britain and the Commonwealth–that time is long past.

As a dual citizen (France, Canada) I have more than once been asked at the US border :”Where were you born ?” They then become rather inquisitive.
About four years ago I was held up at the border by Cornwall, Ontario, interrogated, my car searched, fingerprinted, and after some four hours, required to turn back to Canada. Did I get bitter, seeing myself as a victim, persecuted, etc. ? Not at all.
Not being a Muslim, rather a law-abiding Catholic with a love of neighbour I remained throughout my session polite and friendly with Officer Ricard who was only doing his job in a respectful way.
Foolishly I had driven to the US border in a beat-up Russian auto, had in my possession several prescription pills in unmarked vials and had no idea where I was going to spend the next few nights of my “tour”, plus I forget what else awoke in the border guards their suspicions.
Get a life, self-assertive “victims” !!

If you’re a hyphenated Canadian, you’re a visitor subject to repatriation.
If things go sideways where does a Canadian-Canadian go, eh?
People are so afraid to discriminate based on race and nationality, they refuse to look at reality even if lives are at stake. Our philosophy is “If we kill them, they win. If they kill us, we surrender.”

Iran has been at war with America since1979. Claire Lopez of the Center For Security Policy says both Iran and KSA were involved in the planning for the 9/11 attacks. It is past time for America (and the rest of the West) to wake up. A ban on Iranians of any sort, except ex-Muslims, is totally justified

The simple fact remains that ANY nation has the right to protect it’s borders.
Lets reverse things here and ask what the treatment of an American would be at lets say the Iraq, Iran border crossing?
Probably end up on charges of spying and get thrown into solitary confinement.
Jayme says
The time of this should raise a red flag with everyone CAIR & NCCM have a habit of stunts like this when there is a hate crime or attack against muslims.
Jayme says
Given food because of delays if this is true muslims are getting special treatment as i know some peopel that have been held for hours and all they get is a glass of water.

complain and whine…if they don’t like being detained and asked some questions, they are welcome not to try to enter the country. Once they try, to then say, ‘oh, well, I’ll go now,” is a sure sign that something is up with that individual. Not allowing them to leave immediately gives the patrol time to do a check.
And any time…every time..the creeps of cair enter the picture, one can be sure something nefarious is happening or being planned. They are not a “civil rights” organization, but a group of moslim creeps intent on turning the country into a moslim empire and hell for everyone else. Big money and special privileges for all moslims, and fear on the part of everyone else that they are about to be sued and be the subject of the ‘phobia’ conversation…in order to raise the status of moslims. Lie and fabricate and make charges that someone is being “discriminated” against and that it is “unconstitutional.”.are what cair creeps specialize in.

somehistory,
Excellent and accurate post, my compliments.
Interesting how CAIR tries to present itself as a “civil rights” organization.
They are just a front group for the Muslim Brotherhood – and Pres. Trump should shut down anything connected to them.
somehistory says
Thank you, James Lincoln.
I was thinking of the first news report I read on this incident. One of the women said that her “five year old child was worried about going to jail.” She also said this child wanted her to “stop speaking Farsi” so it would lessen the chance that they would go to jail.
What child that age would be thinking these circumstances…being put in a room with a lot of other people and questioned…would mean jail? Or ask the mom to quit “speaking Farsi” so they wouldn’t be arrested.
It was all a set-up from the get-go as they would have to know that being “iranian” would mean extra questions when re-entering the country while iran is threatening the U.S.
I agree with you about the banning of cair and its operatives. They fund and support terror.

Agreed, Somehistory.

Thw Muslim Brotherhood hoods operate in at least 81 countries. “By God, fronts are one method…..,one method for grouping and are one method to communicate the Ikhwan’s (Muslim Brotherhood) thought. They are one method to communicate the Ikhwan’s point of view. A front is not formed until after a study and after an exhaustive study. I mean, the last front formed by the Group is the Islamic Association for Palestine.”

I care what CAIR is saying. “You should yearn for an honourable death and you will gain perfect happiness. May Allah grant you and yours the honour of martyrdom in His way!”
