Yes, indeed. This is obvious. Pakistan is no friend or ally of the United States, and official recognition of that fact is long overdue.
“Pakistan uses terrorism as tool of state policy: Army Chief Naravane,” ANI, December 31, 2019:
In an apparent reference to Pakistan, Army Chief General MM Naravane on Tuesday said that the “neighbouring country” uses terrorism as a tool of state policy.
In an exclusive interview to ANI hours after taking the charge as the new Army Chief, General Naravane asserted that terrorism is a worldwide problem.’
“Terrorism is a worldwide problem, India has been at the receiving end of terrorism for a long time. It is only now that the entire world and many countries affected with terrorism are coming to realise what a threat it is,” he said.
“As far as our neighbour is concerned they are trying to use terrorism as a tool of state policy, as a way of carrying out a proxy war against us…while maintaining deniability. However, this state can’t last long, as they say, you can’t fool all the people, all the time,” General Naravane added.
The new Army Chief said that post the abrogation of Article 370, there has been a definite improvement in the situation on the ground.
“Incidents of violence have seen a marked decline, this augurs very well for the population of Jammu and Kashmir. It is a step forward towards bringing peace and prosperity to the region,” he said.

Many perceive this. It is most encouraging. Unfortunately, it is too late for Sweden.
Britain escaped by the skin of its teeth. Now beings the hard work rolling back jihad and repairing the societal damage. We could start by simply enforcing British laws equally across the board, without fear or favour. But it would first need a complete clean-out of the stables, or draining of the swamp – choose your metaphor – either way, it’s going to take some tough leadership.
Germany? Oh, man. Everything is already in place for a complete jihad takeover. Gut gemacht, Frau Kanzlerin. Entlich ist Ihr Land kaput. Sie haben es geschaft. I think there’ll be another break-up of the country: those willing to be slaves of Muslims (but excellent environmentalists) on one side, and those who value their freedom, their dignity and their country, on the other. There will be blood.
India, USA, Israel, Japan, Visegrád, thank you.

Great entry, Anjuli! Sie haben’s richtig getroffen.

General Naravane is, of course, correct. I would add that Pakistan’s (and Gaza Hamas’s and Iran’s) use of terrorist proxies is another reason, besides Hudaibiyya-type treaty abrogation, why it is useless to conclude peace treaties and ceasefires with Muslim states. The proxies create a legal problem of justifying retaliation when the victim tries to verify treaty compliance in event of terrorist action. .

Agree with most of what Roland says. However, Muslims are not doctrinaire Islamists ALL the time, and so making treaties may be of very great value. Even the most fanatical Muslims have moments of lucidity where their minds are not clouded by their supposed ‘love of death’. Most Muslims deny Islam in their thoughts. Most would love to live in freedom from fear in the USA. They are hypocrites. Knowing that gives us power to deal with them.

Mortimer, Muslims will break a treaty any time it suits them, per the model of the “Prophet”. Hoping that Muslims *might* decide to adhere to a treaty if they happen to feel like it does not actually do us much good.

I think we can say(and so do they) that the State of Islam uses terrorism and jihad as the policy of control. (my stomach wrenches when I hear them say its a Holy War)
Geoffrey says
Terrorist proxies ? I dont understand this term . Can you please explain this term to me ?
gravenimage says
Geoffrey, it means that Pakistan uses non-state actors for plausible deniability.
For instance, there is a lot of evidence that the Mumbai Jihadists had the backing of Pakistani security forces–but they were not actually the Pakistani army.
mortimer says
General MM Naravane is stating the obvious to everyone who is not blinkered by leftist globalism, namely, that Pakistan is a sponsor of terrorism and Pakistan’s politicians do little to disguise it. As a result of Pakistan’s ongoing JIHAD OBSESSION, Pakistan is an accident waiting to happen.
Jihad is the sixth pillar of Islam upon which the others all depend for protection. Jihad is every action that supports Islamic supremacism.
From these few remarks by Gen Naravane, we can see he has more than basic understanding of Islamic teachings. He understands the doctrinal development of Pakistan from a liberal democracy to an Islamist country with jihad on its mind 24/7.
I wish Gen Naravane all success in countering jihad in India. The real answer to jihad is to convince Muslims that their obsession with it will lead to WWIII and no doubt about that.
If Allah wants to destroy the earth in a Third World War, then Allah is a false deity and Islam is false and Muslims should abandon Islam with confidence.

Pious Muslims, alas, actually like war against innocent people.

Just like the abolition of Article 370 improved the situation in Kashmir after a bit, similarly the National Citizenship Register will improve the overall situation in the country. Right now, since India-Pakistan have a water-tight border, Jihadist groups like ISIS, al Qaeda, et al use Bangladesh instead as a conduit to India. Since successive governments in Left Bengal have been happy to let in any number of Bangladeshi Muslims for the sake of votes, it’s easy for those groups to infiltrate India w/ them. Which is why Naravane and Bipin Rawat – India’s new chief of staff – should actively endorse NRC as a tool needed in counter-Jihad activity, and once that’s passed, they should crack down on Bangladeshis crossing into India. If the Calcutta government tries to be difficult, Modi should dismiss that government and put it under central rule, just like in Jammu & Kashmir
