This vote was a foregone conclusion, since Iraq has had a weak Shi’ite government dominated by the Islamic Republic of Iran ever since the toppling of Saddam Hussein. And the MPs are right: we should leave Iraq and everywhere our troops are without any defined mission or goal.

Mr. Darryl Davis says
Race is a vital adaptation to hazardous and potentially lethal climate. The importance of race vanished with the invention of garb, domiciles, and menus. Judging on a person’s race is applying Deductive Reasoning.
The Greco-Judeo-Christian Civilization is the most advanced because it allows the use of Inductive Reasoning in words.
Mother Nature puts Deductive Reasoning into the DNA of animal brains. It is very compact and works pretty well most of the time. Deductive Reasoning is the architect of custom, culture, and civilization. Its natural home is in the spiritual life.
The Greco-Judeo-Christian Civilization, unlike all other civilizations, had no religious commentary on the natural world. Inductive Reasoners could explore the natural world in words without coming up on blasphemy charges. Using Inductive Reasoning in activities of daily living and in the World of Work became preferred, and the long path to eventually watching in-flight movies gradually took form.
Using Deductive Reasoning in the World of Work and dams burst, aircraft fall from the sky, buildings flame and collapse, individuals and politicians destroy mountains of wealth, and battles and wars are lost.
The murder of Louis XVI unleashed a group of secular religions, each one a masterpiece of Deductive Reasoning. (Each one a form of Catholicism with brain damage.) Each one with a detailed prescription on how to achieve paradise on earth by following Democratic principles and decisions coming from a central location. Each one strongly supported the use of Deductive Reasoning because Inductive Reasoning raises provocative, hurtful and insulting questions and generates answers that are blasphemy. Each one wants Inductive Reasoning out of activities of daily living and out of the World of Work.
The secular religions regard Judaism and Christianity as competitors. The secular religions are political beliefs that wish to displace competitors, Judaism and Christianity, in the spiritual life and in the home life.
Inductive Reasoning use in the spiritual life is silly, getting into things like the angel-carrying capacity of pinheads. The secular religions wish to have the same comprehensive power over everything such as that of religion. For example, Islam is a religion, a rule for conducting politics, business law, foreign policy, family law, personal behavior in all things, and is a dress code, a decorative mandate, an entertainment guide, and a menu. The secular religions admire this degree of comprehensive moralism in action.
The secular religion condemnation of Inductive Reasoning creates marvelous opportunity for Deductive Reasoning failures in activities of daily living and in the World of Work. Cutting the use of Inductive Reasoning results in widespread artificial stupidity because of failure to use an accurate reasoning method for doing things in venues ruled by the uncaring laws of physics. Mistakes will be made. The secular religion’s use of Deductive Reasoning to define humanity makes mistakes in detecting accurately how people think and behave. This leads to making Deductive Reasoning mistakes in anticipating how things will improve if new laws are passed involving human behavior and economics. There are several centuries of disasters proving this.
Attack and condemn the use of Deductive Reasoning outside of the spiritual life and the home life as the engine of stupidity.
Dr. Paul Derengowski says
Thank you, Mr. Davis, for a secular screed based on your own “Deductive Reasoning.” Which means, based on your prescription, you now stand condemned for promoting the very thing you condemned “as the engine of stupidity.” All the best in the future, as you adjust your meandering, if not simply contradictory, approach to life.
Sobieski says
Unfair, ridiculous criticism of an ally in the fight.
Sobieski says
Well said.
Endlesspath says
Somehow Mr. Darrel Davis’s reasoning sounds very reminiscent of the internal Islamic reasoning to justify the competitive strife between the Sunni & Shiite (they having experienced it with each other since the inception of Islam). The difference in Davis’s perspective of reasoning is in his application of it to Christianity.
This is an ally? I think not, it is a continuance of justification for strife within Christianity.

If the Iraqi government asks US to leave, US will leave. Of course there will be much fighting in Iraq, especially, because the sunnis are not willing to fight the Islamic State and it will bring about more fighting between Shias and Sunnis. What would I predict for the future of Iraq for few coming years: The Islamic State in (parts) of Iraq and the Iran-controlled Shia state of Iraq. And of course much more killing of Christians and much more refugees from Iraq. But it may be for the best- once people live under the Islamic State or under the Iranian sharia regime, they will no longer want islam, they will no longer want to be muslims because of the horrors they will endure and experience.
Sabri S. says
It is happening….allah u akbar! The US must be driven out of the entire middle east, not just Iraq. The muslim awakening is in full stride. And hopefully, north american muslims are next. Get the us out this week. If they refuse, initiate another lebanon 1983 right now. If only Syria and afghanistan would get in play simultaneously. The imperialist infidels had a good run though…now, the $750B
Us defense budget can finally be used for the benefit of americans…
Scott says
If muslims were awakening they’d be becoming atheist. They’re going deeper into the sleep of backward religion.
Savvy Kafir says
Well said! Religious fervor is being reawakened among Muslims. Hatred for non-Muslims is on the rise. The desire for blood & conquest is raging among them, and they’re being emboldened by our weakness. But these jihadis and would-be jihadis are still pretty f*cking stupid. There’s certainly no great intellectual awakening taking place among Muslims. Far from it.
Wellington says
Sabri S. You obviously don’t comprehend that America stands for freedom and Islam stands for enslavement. I could write more but why bother since you are an utterly clueless person.
gravenimage says
Oh, Sabri S. understands this. It is just that as a good Muslim he stands for enslavement himself.

From an American diplomat serving at the US embassy in Beirut, thanks a lot for calling for “another Lebanon 1983 right now.” That’s me and my colleagues you are talking about, calling for us to be murdered.
Janice Mermikli says
I hope you all stay safe and that God protects you, but, ultmately, I would prefer to see all U.S and allied troops leave the M.E. in its own islamic backwardness and squalor.
Nowhere in the M.E., apart from Israel, is worth defending, and that is a country which defends itself from the surrounding barbarian chaos.
Serving My Country says
Write to your Congressman. Call the Whitehouse. Don’t defend the one who calls for murder. I just go where they send me.

Kathleen Ann Bussiere-Appleton says
Spot on
Kepha says
Great. We can also run all Muslims out of Western countries; and then to show you understand fairness, you may continue to demand Falastin, but you must return to us northern Africa, Egypt, Sudan, Anatolia, the Caucasus, the Fertile Crescent, and that string of Oases from Mesopotamia to China. Further, to prove your anti-imperialist sincerity, let everyone who identifies with an Arabic-speaking Islamic culture remove himself from the North African littoral and Fertile Crescent, and leave those lands to the Amazigh and Copts. Let everyone who identifies with Turkic Islam withdraw to the the Altay. You are, after all, settlers.
b.a. freeman says
hello again, Sabri! once again, U provide us with entertainment. 😀
“…Us defense budget can finally be used for the benefit of americans…”
—
this just shows that U don’t understand how the u.s. works, Sabri. when money becomes available in the budget of the national government, it is used to buy votes, rather than for the benefit of voters. silly Sabri, taxes are used for the benefit of politicians! and anyway, were the u.s. to withdraw from every place on the planet, new wars would start all over the place, because the big bad u.s. is the only thing making most bad guys hesitate before striking. e.g., were the u.s. to withdraw from the korean peninsula, there would be one korea within a month or so – still dysfunctional, of course, and with probably a few million murdered. were we to pull out of the middle east, the iranians would be launching a nuke at israel within a year or 2, and israel would respond with nukes (most likely, with very judicious strikes, while the iranian strikes would be indiscriminate and aimed mostly at civilians, since islamic scriptures tell pious muslims that the only good jew is a dead jew). since it’s hard to make a surgical strike with a nuke, there would likely be hundreds of thousands, or perhaps millions, of casualties. yes, the u.s. should withdraw preemptively from all countries … not.
BTW, have U had your daily dose of camel urine (sahih bukhari 8:82, sahih muslim 16:4130, “Sirat Rasul Allah”)? since it’s medicinal, U should probably take it as a preventative. after all, the pervert muhammed said that it was medicinal, so there is no need to actually *test* it as such.
i’m afraid that i can’t tell if U are a male or female from your name (i’m male), because i only speak english and am only familiar with EUrabian names; that’s my fault for being too lazy to study other languages when i had the chance. fortunately, with the advent of the internet, i can find all of islamic scripture readily available in english, and blessed by either the islamic bigwigs of saudi barbaria or of al azhar university, all of whom heartily approve of lying to kuffar, stealing from kuffar, killing kuffar, raping kuffar (male or female), enslaving kuffar, and committing mass murder of kuffar. sorry if U are offended by my laughing dismissal of your pathetic attempt to appeal to leftists (i haven’t been that stupid for several decades now), so i am thrilled that U wasted your time posting here. it was entertaining for me, but took time out of your life that U won’t get back. may the Holy Spirit reach U and save U, because He loves U more than U can know.
J D.S says
It would take time….but if the U.S would just pull all troops, all military help, all help not any kind not any kind of aid at all. Quit buying too much oil and then establish a stronghold in Israel, with their approval, and let the Muslims kill each other off and work hard to persuade other nations to not buy any good from the mid eastern nations (that may be impossible because the European countries have embraced Islam) Any way just some thoughts which most will call stupid and un-American and hateful.
Don Ameche says
At least we are seeing more in the Media using the appropriate term Jihad when speaking of islam and islamic movements and countries. Perhaps Robert’s new Book is having some affect.

Pack it in, get our guys out, let the bloodshed begin.

Savvy Kafir says
Islam is the fastest-growing religion on Earth. So, yeah — Muslims seem pretty resistant to seeing that truth. But maybe 1400 years just isn’t quite long enough. Let’s isolate them all in Muslim-majority countries, and check back in a few hundred years — see what they’re up to.

Savvy Kafir says
Muslims slaughtering Muslims means fewer Muslims left to slaughter infidels. It sucks that the situation has to be seen in terms as stark as that; but Islam doesn’t allow for anything else.
Savvy Kafir says
Great. Fine. Whatever. We never should have been in that godforsaken sh*thole nation in the first place — wasting American lives and limbs and money in the hopeless attempt to turn a Muslim society into some sort of free, enlightened democracy.
I just hope we’ve all learned something from this misguided project. But I’m pretty sure that’s not the case.
James Foard says
Bush’s Folly, one of the greatest military blunders in history. The result? After billions of dollars, thousands of maimed and slain brave soldiers, one of the oldest Christian communities on earth decimated even before ISIS (Bush set up almost no protective measures for the protection of Christians in Iraq after Saddam), ISIS, shedding American blood and spending billions to set up two governments in Iraq and Afghanistan based on the Koran and Sharia law (Bush should be hanged for that; the enemy was never radical Islam, the enemy IS ISLAM period), and now they hate us, but didn’t they always? And back in the early part of the war our poor soldiers would hand out candy bars to children because that will make them LIKE us; children who ten years later joined ISIS and are now shouting death to America.
We should have identified the enemy back in 2003 – Islam, gone into Saudi Arabia and the middle east, leveled every God forsaken mosque to the ground, arrested every damned mullah, outlawed Islam (like we outlawed the Nazi party in Germany after WWII, occupied the area and taught the people the basic elements of a Judaeo-Christian world view, and then after a decades long cultural reformation allowed them to have elections.
If we weren’t willing to do this we had no business being there at all. May the names of George W. Bush and Barack Obama – the muslim traitor – both go down in infamy in the future chronicles oh history.,
Ginny says
Before Bush and Obama go into infamy, I think they should go on trial and be held accountable in the here and now. Why wait?
Kathleen Ann Bussiere-Appleton says
Both should be given the fatal injection like SongBird. Traitors to our country!!!
gravenimage says
I consider President Bush to be a patriotic American–just one who was dangerously naive about Muslims embracing freedom.
Obama was a very different matter.
Ferd III says
Can’t say I disagree with you.
I supported the invasion originally. My attitude – put a police station in the bad neighbourhood called Muhammadism. Tear down Sharia, Moslem supremacy, turn Iraq into South Korea then work on Syria and Iran after. Well so much for that.
Post invasion the US allowed a Sharia-gov’t, Moslem supremacist Constittuion, creation and financing of ISIS (OClowna); the ISIS and Moslem slaughter of Christians and Yazidis (along with the rapes); oil resources to be bought up by China, France, Russia; and Iran to basically take over the country as a province.
Pathetic really.
The British ran away in 1934 leading to the Fascist Baath governance of the country (wars, terror, lots of dead, police state etc).
Repeated by the Americans with even worse results given that the ‘Syrian refugee crisis’ is now an excuse for the general Moslem invasion of Europe.
gravenimage says
Ferd–with all respect–I don’t think there is any way to turn Iraq into South Korea. Most Iraqis are Muslim, and will never embrace civilized values.
James Lincoln says
James Foard says,

1979 would have been better following the Iranian Revolution – and the taking of 52 American hostages…
b.a. freeman says
1979 *would* have been better, James, but 1785 would have been better; that was the year that adams and jefferson found out about islam from tripoli’s envoy to london.
and given the mass murders of hindus in india, the 8th century – *certainly* the 10th century – would have been a *L*O*T* better!

I wonder how many weeks it be from the last US and allied boot to leave Iraqi soil for that to start to happen (I’m betting the counting won’t even reach double digits).
Lydia Church says
1. The New Year has arrived.
2. The hornet’s nest is now: open.
3. The End is here.
It’s all coming together and the next decade will be a really wild ride to say the least as apocalyptic events continue to unfold. The weather, natural disasters, climate factors, politics, the election year conflicts, political protests, upheavals and uprisings of all sorts and civil wars all over the world, economic meltdowns, wars, the glamorization of sin, propaganda, clamping down on our freedoms, spokespeople for the new world order such as Greta, religious persecution of Christians all over the world, the rise of false ‘solutions’ with a false ‘savior’, the occult, the apostasy in the church, the falling away from the true Christian faith, artificial intelligence, the mark of the beast technology, and the list goes on, and just think… all of it has been prophesied in the Bible for this time of the end! This is not a time to slumber but to be sober and alert. Most are asleep and unprepared for what is just around the corner. Don’t be caught off guard.
Lydia Church says
Oh, and add to the list disarming the people. Vaccinations. You can add more I’m sure.
Don’t be caught dead without Jesus in your heart!
gravenimage says

Savvy Kafir says
Lydia, Christians have been making these predictions — absolutely CERTAIN they were witnessing the End Times, for a multitude of reasons and “proofs” — for centuries now. And every single time, they were proven wrong, in spite of the passion of their belief. The End Times are nothing but the fantasies of fanatics. You will die still waiting for your glorious End Times to arrive, just like every other believer in that nonsense has done, for centuries.
Meanwhile, there are real problems in the real world that can only be solved by practical, real- world solutions. This is a lot tougher & more demanding than simply sitting back, babbling about scripture and waiting for God to fix everything. But it’s got to be done.
If Christians find motivation & empowerment in their faith, and USE those in actively resisting the Islamization of the West — great! Whatever works, I guess. But it’s worrying when Christians promote the idea that everything is unfolding according to God’s plan — or that He will, at some point, finally step in and vanquish our Muslim foes for us. That’s not helpful. We cannot win this war with fantasies and wishful thinking.
b.a. freeman says
i’m a born-again christian, Savvy, yet i agree with U about “end times.” i have only read the bible a couple of times, but i found at least 7 places in the new testament where God tells us that many will claim that the end is nigh, but that they will always be wrong. with Lydia, i believe that it is *vital* to have Jesus in your heart, but “end times” have nothing to do with salvation – other than if U aren’t saved by then, your a** is grass. the author of revelation even says that he was “in the spirit,” meaning that he was having a vision. the entire book is allegorical, and thinking that one has divined its true meaning is foolish at best. only the Father knows when the end will come.
in the meantime, we who are christians should defend those who are under attack, and are being subjugated by the ummah. the ultimate victory is God’s, but that is a spiritual battle, and there are those who are defenseless here in the concrete world who need defending. we can speak of religion and politics – iff we are not leftists, who rarely speak with civility – once the fighting has calmed down; otherwise, we will all end up with a 9 mm. slug in the brain.
gravenimage says
Agreed.
Kepha says
It was Jesus himself who said that only God knows the times and seasons. He also said, in the same Olivet Discourse (Mt. 24-25), that the Gospel of the Kingdom will be preached to all nations; which seems echoes in John’s vision in Revelation that the Redeemed will embrace people of every people, tongue, tribe, and nation. We should be at work on the Great Commission rather than imitating the Adventists of 1843-45 and other movements in the past.
For the record, I also firmly believe that God has appointed a day in which he will raise the dead and judge all. But I also believe that while waiting for that day, God has charged his church with watching, praying, and witnessing.
Islam’s psychosis stems from its origins in a denial of the Gospel. It denies that God became man; that he took on our sins and tasted of death for us that we might be forgiven; and that he rose from the dead on the third day. It misrepresents the Christian Trinity as God, Jesus, and Mary, rather than noting that we believ that the persons of the Father, Son (Word), and Holy Spirit are one in substance. It bears false witness against the Jews by saying they honor Ezra as Christians honor Christ. It finally dares to say that the last word to man was uttered by an Arabian warlord who has been lying in the dust of Medina since 632 A.D., rather than being Jesus Christ, the Word made flesh, who was dead, but rose again, and now holds the keys of death and Hades. In short, Islam is the raging of a Satan who knows his time has been growing shorter ever since Christ rose from the dead back in the days of Pontius Pilate.
While is well in the realm of possibilities that God’s ultimate way of dealing with Islam (as well as a Christendom that has forgotten what it’s about) may be horrible to contemplate, with the modern equivalents of the visitations of the Mongol hordes, the task of the church remains faithful witness and prayer; and that the victory for which we must strive is our neighbor’s repentance and faith, not his destruction.

Time for Iraqi’s to stand on their own. It’s been since 1990 when Saddam invaded Kuwait that US has ‘resided’ in Iraq. 30 years is enough time!!
Infidel says
President Trump should, w/ an executive order, declare the immediate withdrawal of US troops from every Middle East country, be it Iraq, Syria, Qatar, Bahrein, Emirates… Put some in Israel, as special forces who need to be in the vicinity of the region, but pull everyone else home!
Since official Washington DC – both Republicans and Democrats – seem committed to leaving US troops there indefinitely and long term, the president should seize this opportunity presented by the Iraqi parliament. And while he’s at it, pull troops out of Afghanistan and Pakistan as well.
Bring the bulk of troops that we have worldwide home, and pick out a small set of countries around China’s rim, and post them there – South Korea, Taiwan, Vietnam, Philippines and so on

Robert, you are right on target. We should not be where 1) We don’t understand the ideology of the host nation (we fail to acknowledge the true nature of Islam), and 2) We have no clearly defined goal or exit strategy that makes sense and that clearly defends our national interests. (Our dollars and manpower would be much better spent defending our own borders and educating our citizens about the threat of Islam.)

According to an article by Daniel Greenfield posted in today’s edition of frontpagemag.com, only Shi’ite parliamentarians were present to vote on this resolution. Sunni and Kurdish members did not participate, and the resolution itself is non-binding and essentially meaningless. The mainstream media neglected to mention any of this, resulting in false reportage. Still, the question remains – should we stay or should we leave Iraq? I believe the best strategy is to maintain some limited military presence, in part to deter Iran from overrunning Iraq entirely, but also to provide weaponry and strategic military advice to the factions opposed to Iranian hegemony. But they, not we, should do the fighting.
