Why are all the stories now about Iran? Yesterday, a bunch of Saudi servicemen were expelled from the US, not for ties to the Pensacola shooter, but rather, for ties w/ extremists and possession of child porn, and nothing about that here?
Honest Ali says
Because Iran is a bit more of a loose cannon right now. And it is harder for the Democrats to spin lies in defense of the Saudi servicemen’s ties to terrorists and viewing child porn… It doesn’t fit the narrative being pushed by the foreign owned, Left leaning mainstream media. But yes, the Saudis are our enemies… anyone who believ4es that Muhammad is the prophet of God has sworn to be our enemy in perpetuity.

Infidel, this story is indeed covered here:
“More than a dozen Muslim servicemen to be expelled from US after review following Pensacola jihad massacre”
https://www.jihadwatch.org/2020/01/more-than-a-dozen-muslim-servicemen-to-be-expelled-from-us-after-review-following-pensacola-jihad-massacre
Your idea that Jihad Watch only covers stories concerning Iran is mistaken. Sometime one story or another will get more coverage for a short time because of breaking news, but that’s all.

The Voldemort Effect is the state of being fearful of naming someone or something out of fear of being attacked or killed. The phrase takes a cue from the line associated with “Lord Voldemort “ in the Harry Potter series: “He who must be named”. The phrase, with respect to Islamists, was coined by British activist Maajid Nawaz in context to Islam: individuals are fearful or reluctant to call out the ideology of Islamism as the underlying cause of Jihadist Terrorism.
Much of the mainstream media in Canada will not address the issues created by Islamists, not will they investigate or report on the extremist groups that operate in Canada which are foreign based.
The CBC has attempted to pass off some of its denial as deliberate policy, claiming that they do not want to offend religious groups.
Comedian, John Cleese, was asked by a reporter if he would repeat his comedic and satirical attacks of his younger years. He would, he said, except for the Muslims. When asked why not, he said “They will kill you.”

Good post, E T–just a small point–Voldemort is known as “He Who Must Not Be Named”. This is all about fear of even naming evil.

Good points by Clare Lopez: the Islamic Republic of Iran has in fact been at war against the US for the last 41 years. The blood-curdling oaths of the mullahs against the US and her allies are uttered daily. It is routine. They mean what they say.
I think the US has been very patient with these warmongers and has restrained itself from retaliation until now.
The punishment of the commander who gave the orders to attack Americans and their allies is a just and reasonable response to his terrorism.
It may have taken 41 years, but there is an appropriate time for military retaliation.
Lopez is right: to be credible, the US deterrent must be seen be implemented from time to time when appropriate.
Thanks for this, Dr. Glazov.
