Ever the victim, no matter what.

“‘Wanton Acts Of Destruction’: India After Vandalism At Gurdwara In Pakistan,” NDTV, January 4, 2020 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
India has strongly condemned the mob violence at Gurdwara Nankana Sahib in Pakistan on Friday evening after reports emerged that hundreds of angry people surrounded the iconic gurdwara and threw stones, with devotees inside. Nankana Sahib is the birth place of Guru Nanak, the founder of Sikhism.
“India strongly condemns these wanton acts of destruction and desecration of the holy place. We call upon the Government of Pakistan to take immediate steps to ensure the safety, security, and welfare of the members of the Sikh community,” the government said in a statement.
News agency ANI quoted reports to say the mob was led by the family of a boy who had allegedly abducted the daughter of an official of the gurdwara in August last year and forcefully converted her.
“These reprehensible actions followed the forcible abduction and conversion of Jagjit Kaur, the Sikh girl who was kidnapped from her home in the city of Nankana Sahib in August last year,” the government statement added.
A video of the incident was shared by Akali Dal MLA Manjinder Singh Sirsa, which shows an angry mob shouting anti-Sikh slogans outside the gurdwara.
“Live footage from Nankana Sahib where an angry Muslim mob is outside Gurdwara Sahib and raising anti-Sikh slogans… I urge Imran Khan to take immediate action on such communal incidents that are increasing the insecurity in the minds of Sikhs of Pakistan,” Mr Sirsa tweeted.
Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has also appealed to Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan to intervene.
“Appeal to @ImranKhanPTI to immediately intervene to ensure that the devotees stranded in Gurdwara Nankana Sahib are rescued and the historic Gurdwara is saved from the angry mob surrounding it,” Amarinder Singh tweeted.
Imran Khan, in turn, tweeted videos which he alleged were of the “Indian police attacking Muslims”. However, the videos turned out to be footage shot in 2013 in Bangladesh. The Pakistan PM later deleted the tweets….

It is no wonder that Sikhs in Kashmir fear annexation by Pakistan and wish their own state for security reasons. Islam is the greatest persecutor of Sikhs.

“Islam is the greatest persecutor of Sikhs.”
And of Hindus, Christians and all others who have withstood its fanaticism and ruthless brutality over the centuries.

Infidel says
Oh, please, that’s horseshit. There are no Sikhs in Kashmir: there are Muslims in Kashmir, Hindus in Jammu and Buddhists in Ladakh. All these years, the Hindus who previously lived in Kashmir fled due to terrorism, and Article 370 didn’t allow non-Kashmir Indians to buy property in Kashmir. W/ its repeal, the Indian government has encouraged citizens to migrate to Kashmir and start businesses there.
There is only one Sikh movement for an independent state, and that’s the Khalistan movement, which is pretty much passe in India, but active in Canada and the UK. But this movement is pro-Pakistan and anti-India: their map of Khalistan includes non-Sikh parts of India, including the capital Delhi, but doesn’t include any part of Pakistan. Whereas the only time the Sikhs had an independent kingdom of their own in the 19th century before the Brits conquered it, the capital of that kingdom was Lahore, and it included cities like Multan, Peshawar, Gujranwala, Llyalpur and Kashmir as well. Today, the region that was known as Punjab is split b/w India and Pakistan, w/ the latter having the bulk of it. Yet there is no Khalistani demand for any Pakistani territory in their state
The bulk of Sikhs in the world live in India, and then some in Western countries, like Canada, UK, US et al. There are a handful in Pakistan and Afghanistan, who would do well to hightail it out of there

There do seem to be some Sikhs remaining in Kashmir, Infidel–about 2% of the population there–although I know many of them left after the horrible Chattisinghpura Jihad massacre in 2000.

Pakistan has an international obligation to defend the security of Sikh citizens of Pakistan and protect their holy sites.
There is no way around that obligation. Name-calling and overgeneralizations are not valid excuses for Pakistan to avoid its security duties.

Pakistan is an Islamic State. Do you really expect them to adhere to their security duties? Lol.

And now, a young Sikh is murdered in cold blood in Pakistan.

And many idiots in India do not want India to protect the minorities in Pakistan.
What a strange world we live in where the oppressor is the victim and idiots have become intellectuals.

They represent cream of JNU and left wing media like BBC with that commie journalist .God save India from friends like these
Infidel says
Oh, they’re fine w/ protecting minorities all right, but they just wanna pretend that Muslims too are minorities in Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
And speaking of JNU, first they riot, and then after their student body head honcho is roughed up, she says she’ll answer iron rods w/ debates & discussions. Maybe she should have done that before her group rioted, provoking the ‘iron rods’

Peace is when the whole world is muslim, as Sayeed Qutb, of the Muslim Brotherhood said.
When the whole world is muslim, from where will muslim males steal brides without paying?
Rarely says
Duh. From muslims of other sects, of course. Muslims seem to have little difficulty justifying murdering each other. BUT, when a muslim gets a speeding ticket in a non-muslim country the entire muslim world protests, regardless of the sect of the speeder.
Don’t try to use logic…it’s the mistake many western leaders make.
The equation is: Birds fly, fish swim, muslims protest en masse.

War between Sikhs/Hindus and Muslims was simply postponed by partition into India and Pakistan in the 1940s. While Britain ruled India all had them as a common enemy, but on independence this ceased. This is going to come unless Imran Khan can get a hold of his countrymen. Seems unlikely to me because it’s the religion that’s the problem.
Infidel says
You illustrate an interesting parallel b/w 19th century India and the Middle East. When the Brits were there in India, all Indians opposed them as an enemy. Once they were gone, Muslims started fighting everyone else, and Pakistan was born, but those countries still fight each other.
Similarly, in the Middle East, the US is there now, and opposed by shia and sunni alike. But once we leave, they’ll be at each other’s throats forever. Which is why, as Hugh has often argued, we should leave. Let there be a conflagration b/w Iran, the Shia Arabs, the Sunni Arabs and Turkey, and may it run for as long as possible
peter says
Refigion is the problem because Brits cleverly divided India before they left in to Hindu majority and muslim majority nations. As they have done all over the world the Brits had ruled India by the principle of divide and rule . The same is true in Ireland today .
gravenimage says
It was the Muslims who demanded their own nations–and now they want to take over India as well. Britain did not create Muslim supremacism.
Nabhnil says
True !! The British only used it to their benefit !!
Infidel says
As gravenimage mentioned, only the Muslims demanded a separate country. None of the other groups – Sikhs, Christians, Parsis, Jews, Buddhists, Jains… did. While the Brits did use divide and rule for much of their history, this particular case wasn’t one of them: the Muslim League was already going strong
gravenimage says
Agreed, Infidel.

The protestors in Pakistan are in solidarity with the RAPISTS who abducted the persecuted Sikh girl, Jagit Kaur and her family.
Imran Khan is so concerned with appeasing the Islamists in Pakistan that he is willing to ignore the human rights of Pakistani citizens persecuted on the basis of religious discrimination.
Pakistan’s human rights record continues to be one of the worst in the world.
gravenimage says
Actually, Imran Khan is an “Islamist” himself.

Pakistan: Muslim mob screaming “Allahu akbar” surrounds world’s foremost Sikh site, throws stones
……………
And why did they do this? Because they were enraged that a Sikh dared report Muslims kidnapping, raping, and forcibly marrying and converting a Sikh girl.
God, I hate Islam.
Infidel says
Not just that, this kidnapping happened exactly when Imran Khan was running a charm offensive on Sikhs to wean them away from India and support him by opening up the corridor so that Indian Sikhs could visit that Gurudwara – the birthplace of their founder. Many Sikhs were initially swayed, but then this kidnapping happened, and the Sikh reaction changed to outrage.
Besides, if Jagjit Kaur hasn’t been returned to her family as yet, why are they attacking the Gurudwara? What will they do if she is returned – attack India?
gravenimage says
Thanks for that background information, Infidel.
And just having Sikhs *report* the crime was enough to enrage Muslims. The victims of Islam are supposed to suffer in silence.
