“I have just finished The Palestinian Delusion by the brilliant Robert Spencer. I am so impressed with this work. At first, I was merely intrigued — but chapter by chapter I came to see what a gem this work really is. The reason becomes very clear. Due to his intimate understanding of Islam and the Qur’an, Robert Spencer is the perfect scholar to deal with this issue. And this comprehensive knowledge adds an new depth of insight and credibility to his grasp of the motives driving the Arabs and the Jews over the history of this allusive pursuit. The Palestinian Delusion is without a doubt the best presentation of the case for Israel I have ever heard or read. For anyone who wants to get to the crux of the problem — why the pursuit of peace in the Middle East has been so elusive for so long, why the same old mistakes are being repeated over and over, and what should be actually done, Robert Spencer’s masterwork is a must-read.” — Shlomo Rifkind, Tzfat, Israel

Thanks to Shlomo Rifkind for his excellent review and interesting comments. He points out the main problem with other political analysts of the Palestinian issue, namely, that those analysts are virtually unconversant in the three basic, essential Islamic political doctrines: 1) tawhid and prophethood 2) Al Walaa wal Baraa and 3) jihad and migration. Robert Spencer understands those teachings perfectly, whereas political writers have no idea of them. They feel above all that and analyze the situation purely by secular means. Secular theories don’t fully explain the mens islamica.

Having read your reply I am ordering my copy of The Palestinian Delusion.
I am a psychiatrist had have been mystified by this topic many years. MMM’s commitment to the sacred cow of religion is part of the problem.
I’ll be looking for those three doctrines!

Another ‘Must read’ gem by Robert Spencer. Telling the truth for what ir really is, not what most of the world would like to hear.
The time has finally arrived when the idea of ‘dual narratives’ is revealed as the greatest PR bluff the world has ever known. There is no ‘palestinian narrative’ simply because there isn’t a ‘palestinian people.’
Spencer sets the facts straight.
With publication of this literature, no one will ever again be able to claim, ‘how was I to know!’
Thank you Robert Spencer.

Just finished this book, which I requested as a Christmas gift. Having studied Islam, I already understood why the peace process has failed consistently. Only one of the parties is really interested in peace!
The book is a great read, and provides all the historical background to give the reader a clear understanding of Middle Eastern politics. Well done Robert Spencer.
