Twitter has notified many other people that their tweets are in violation of Pakistani law; I’ve never gotten one of those messages, because my Twitter feed is banned altogether in Pakistan. But it appears that I have been accused of violating German law by reporting on jihad violence and Sharia oppression. Has Germany now officially imposed Sharia blasphemy laws? In any case, Twitter has cleared me this time, but I have no illusions: they won’t stop at shadowbanning, and the big ban from Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube is coming, at the demand of British “conservatives.”
Do people in other countries get warnings that they’re being investigated for violating American law? In a sane world, Twitter would be sending notices to the people in Germany who complained about Jihad Watch and warning them that they were in violating of the U.S. Constitution’s protection of the freedom of speech. But instead, we have the world we have.
Dajjal says
If memory serves, the new German law was passed more than a year ago. The free speech clause of the first amendment only applies to Congress, not foreign governments.
Tell the Pakistanis and Germans that their laws stop at the water’s edge.
andra says
Nonetheless the account can be banned from German Twitter. So the information is regular in order to warn an account to think about being closed in some parts of the world or not.
I guess the warning came because of using the terms jihad terror or grooming gang.
The law underlying this waring is called Netzdurchsetzungsgesetz. This law was invented to stop criticism of the Islamic Invasion of Europe, of mass migration in general and of the development of Germany into a communist country.
mortimer says
So Germany has a law that prevents the criticism of the policies of the government in power. That’s so democratic. (sarc/off)
In other words, free speech for me (the government), but not for thee (the opposition).
Sounds just like good old fascism.

Thank you, Andra–scary stuff.
Wikipedia blandly says, “at a hearing in the Bundestag, almost all experts considered the draft unconstitutional”.
andra says
Yes, it is scary. Most people in Germany admitted in a pole that they do not say what they think in public as they are afraid of getting into trouble.
Online most social media are censoring at a high level. Facebook accounts get closed for some weeks on a quite regular base. The MSM hardly publish critical posts on their online-sites. The “WELT”, one of the most famous papers, very often publish in their threads that the posters are reminded that they must not publish hate posts. When you look up the threads you usually find only up to ten comments (even if it is the most read article) which all agree with the journalist and the mainstream expectations so that you wonder why the posters had been warned in the first place. Very often they do not publish my posts because I tend to reminding them of some truth they forget to mention or some problems they do not want to see. I do not use dirty language or discriminating words but get censored. It really is an Orwellkind nightmare.
Terry says
Thank you for that information.

German law applies in Germany not US law. And the law is there to prevent personal insults in social media. Twitter etc have solved their problem by automatically notifying / banning any message if someone complains about it. Only if one then refutes the complaint does it get checked by a human being who then decided if an insult according to German law has actually taken place or not. So blame the Germans, blame Twitter etc who the last time I checked were still US companies.
Ole Pederson says
Dear Robert, please go on reporting on Islam!
German law is ignored by the German government.
German law is ignored by the german politicians of all parties except one.
German law is ignored by much of the authorities, especially if responsible for migration.
German law is ignored by most of the migrants.
German law is ignored by the criminal Arab families who dominate organized crime and now own entire suburbs..
German law is ignored by the left, in particular the left-wing fascists who call themselves Anti-Fascist.
The only weirdos who still obey the law are the brain-washed do-gooders, voters, and tax-payers!
And the people who see what is going on, who do not dare to speak out because they want to avoid repercussions, getting fired, and violence.
Carl -stealth Infidel- says
“… criminal Arab families who dominant organized crime and now own entire suburbs..”
??WoW?? Hello! There’s something here which may be one big bull Elephant in room. I wonder just how much power they have And how generous they are to the German politicians.
mortimer says
Just a minute: I FORGOT what the OFFICIAL RELIGION OF GERMANY IS !!! What? It is a secular state?
So why is the German government interested in enforcing Sharia BLASPHEMY LAW in Germany and elsewhere?
The unexpected voice says
Again, Shimmitude and Dhimmis are killing Europe. May be they don’t want to upset their Muslim master.

The freedom of expression has been subjected by the Big Tech companies to the highest bidders among sponsors. Business doesn’t have the knowledge of arcane ideologies and religious ideas to say which opinion is correct. They are merely trying to restrict content to what ideas business leaders think will sell.
underbed cat says
Curious about the diversity of big tech. Maybe they also have to been concerned about internal “issues” that may offend that could be a problem with all the information they have at their finger tips. The companies just want to sell products and see how organized resistance works. That problem is from the OIC countries who votes in the U.N. demanding that any crittcism of Islam, even if true, is offensive, so information is controlled and free speech gets controlled. But that is why as we all know this is how Germany got into this predictament of having to be concerned, not realizing the threat to society ….a little too late. But it goes also for every country when the leaders are unaware this strategy is to silence truth of the goals by use of deceptive words, appearances, complaints, denials of terror ties and ideology methods they use to achieve their results.Conquest and invasion by our hands so we can stay in business. Freedom of speech at least for the democracy that has an economy gets splintered due to who controls intormation. If a law could be passed to clarify…we are not subjected to sharia that would be good.

Some US states *have* either specifically banned Sharia law, or else vaguer but still salient bans on “foreign law”–including Arizona, Kansas, Louisiana, South Dakota, Tennessee, North Carolina, Alabama and Texas as of 2014. As of that year, all but 16 states have considered such a law.
A good start, anyway.
R. Scratton says
Twitter support is absolutely riddled with SJW idiots. I got suspended for stating that jihadists consider killing infidels a holy, moral act. No angry, emotional, hateful language – merely observing a known fact in what was actually a civilised conversation about terrorism. And I have seen others get banned for even less than that. Twitter are an absolutely terrible organisation, I live in hope that some day a better company displaces them.
mortimer says
Reply to R.Scratton: I see that you expressed an opinion about Islam … next time, why not quote Muslim leaders to make your point? Example:
– “Killing a Kafir who is fighting you is OK. Killing a Kafir for any reason (i.e. criticism of Islam), you can say, it is OK – even if there is NO REASON for it. You can poison, ambush and kill non-believers. You must have a stand with your heart, with your tongue, with your money, with your hand, with your sword, with your Kalashnikov. Don’t ask shall I do this, just do it.”Abu Hamza al-Masri (Egyptian born British Cleric)
-“Act like you are his friend. Then kill him.” – Sheikh Muburak Gilani
Ask people what they think of those quotes. Approve or disapprove?
gravenimage says
So now just saying something critical about *Jihad terrorists* is enough to get you suspended from Twitter? Good grief.
And Mortimer, people have gotten banned from just quoting the Qur’an disapprovingly on social media, so I don’t think this would necessarily help.
Green Infidel says
I got banned* from Twitter for pointing out that some British leftard glorifying an Ottoman slave-raiding woman was basically writing in support of the Isis of the 15th century.
*Actually it weren’t a total ban. They said I could appeal, if I sent my passport/ID to prove my identity. Which I could never agree to do.
Lu says
SEND IDs? Now that´s rich!

Seems to me I can violate “German Law” to my heart’s content, and Germany can do nothing about it, as long as I don’t set foot in Germany, fly on “Luftwaffe”, or step on German Embassy ground. In other words, who cares?

+1
Green Infidel says
“the big ban from Twitter, Facebook, and YouTube is coming”…
So what are we doing about it? How will we get the message out to a large enough section of the population, if we’re banned by social media?
gravenimage says
Twitter investigates, exonerates Jihad Watch for violating “German law”
…………………
Well, *that’s* big of them. But what about next time?
And what German law is this? Notice Twitter does not say.
Salamander says
Move to a free speech platform like Gab or something else. There aren´t as many users like in Twitter but everybody has to start somewhere, if it is not done this way Twitter will rule for ever.
Lydia Church says
Exactly Robert.
For so long folks have fallen back into the hammock with a wave of the hand, dismissing all the dangers with the phrase; “Well, we have the Constitution, that protects the freedom of speech, and this right and that right, so they can’t do that… and they can’t do this….” and on it goes. But then it happens anyway. They infringe on our rights and somehow have been given the power to do this by the globalists. So now what? Here we are, living in the world the way it is now, and it will only get worse. Orwell’s world of the future is here. Sadly, we can delay it but we can’t prevent it. Revelation 13 talks about these things. It’s moving really fast now and I honestly don’t know when, but hold my breath for the day all my news sites will be ‘unavailable’ with some bureaucratical excuse of one sort or another. At that point I know pretty much what’s around the corner anyway.
Stay well and stick close to Jesus!

Twitter has willingly taken on the role of enforcing Sharia law, and as such it is in violation of the laws of non-Sharia countries.

A friend of mine in Mexico got a message that her blog (in German) violates German law and it will be banned in Germany, so her German readers can’t access it anymore. (Okay, that’s not twitter; but it’s the same problem. WordPress notified her that she doesn’t infringe its rules.)
