The principle is always and everywhere the same: in Muslim countries, one must conform one’s behavior to Islamic sensibilities. And in non-Muslim countries, one must conform one’s behavior to Islamic sensibilities.
“HALAL HOLIDAY Holidaymakers at all-inclusive hotel shocked to find resort was taken over by Islamic company who banned booze,” by Andy Jehring, The Sun, January 17, 2020:
HOLIDAYMAKERS booked a hotel only to find it had been taken over by Islamic owners who banned booze.
They were scrambling for refunds after the Ova Resort on the Turkish Riviera was bought by Zehra Hotels.
The new owner enforces segregated male and female pools and hot tubs, offers halal food and does not serve alcohol.
It boasts of offering an alternative holiday that is “good for your Islamic lifestyle” and asks women to cover up when swimming.
But the dry policies have forced regulars at the resort to look elsewhere.
Brit Sam Taylor, 51, of Slough, Berks, told The Sun: “I am absolutely gutted. This place was like a second home for a lot of us.
“But now they’ve banned booze we can’t go back. You can’t expect a Brit to take their holiday without a few pints by the pool.”
Travel giant Tui offered all- inclusive packages at Ova Resort when it was owned by Turkish company Ovacik Turism Isl.
The resort, where breaks cost from £200 a head, attracted plenty of British regulars who were dismayed by the sale.
Some have cancelled bookings and want deposits refunded….
Women were also instructed to cover up and the food served was halal….

But there’s evening entertainment! Public beheadings and stonings. Never a dull moment in Islam! Clowns!

Turkey needs a new Ataturk to escort the Islamic fanatics to the curb.
gravenimage says
Sadly, I don’t see that happening, Mortimer.
And even Ataturk was fine with Muslims slaughtering Christians in the Armenian Genocide.

mortimer says
Turkey is volatile. It may well swing back to secularism. Ataturk did not plan the genocides.
gravenimage says
Mortimer, you are right that the Armenian Genocide had started under the Ottomans and continued under the “Young Turks”.
That being said, though, Ataturk did nothing to stop it when he came to power. The horrific destruction of Smyrna happened under his aegis. And recall, this was not done just by disorganized Muslim civilians, but was everywhere supported and often spearheaded by Turkish authorities and the military.
And I have not seen any indications that Turkey is re-embracing Kemalism under Erdogan. Citations?

Never mind ‘white privilege’ what about Islamic privilege? I hope the resort goes bankrupt though why non Muslims would want to holiday in Turkey is beyond me. ai suppose they do not read the right news!
Anne Smith says
They go for the cheap holidays – Turkey is a lot cheaper than Italy, France, Spain or Portugal
Also until now there were no restrictions on alcohol, which is very popular on cheap holidays.
Until Erdogan came on the scene most tourists could behave as they liked.

Why would a civilized person vacation in a barbarian country?
Save Europe says
As a Limey I know many Brits – sadly – who holiday in Turkey.
I’ve always encouraged them to spend their money in a country like Croatia, which is a magnificent place.
Better food, and just as affordable.

I have no intention of ever visiting a majority-Muslim nation. Do I deprive myself of some educational experience by doing this? Yes, I do, but I calculate the negatives far outweigh the benefits here and thus I will proceed accordingly. Besides, as Lao Tzu sapiently observed, “One can know the whole world and never leave his home.”
I make no claim to “knowing the whole world,” far, far from it in fact, but while the knowledge gained by travel is something that cannot be denied, it is nonetheless not necessary, “merely” a bonus, in any process of attempting to acquire wisdom—Lao Tzu’s point all along. Besides, in any majority-Muslim nation I would not have liberty and, almost as bad, the very real possibility of not having a beer with a BLT.
Well then, I think I have stated my position here quite clearly. Oh, time for a beer.
James Lincoln says
Wellington,
I have spent a fair amount of time in muslim majority countries while on active duty Navy.
Trust me, you are missing NOTHING.
By the way, your posts on Jihad Watch are some of the very best. You are obviously highly intelligent and a gifted writer. You could make it as a conservative nationally syndicated columnist. I’m not kidding.
Have a nice evening – and enjoy a BLT with your favorite beer!

I have actually vacationed in Turkey and have visited Morocco only because I was in Spain and there was ferry service across the straits of Gibraltar and I thought it would be interesting. In fact I used to vacation in Spain every year and went to Morocco often. Nothing toward happened to me but it easily could have and I will never go there again. I went to Turkey several times because it’s Roman and Greek history interested me and I went to places like Ephesus and Istanbul. I will never go there again because Turkey has changed in recent years and I do not admire, in fact I detest, Islamic culture.
Anything I learned can be learned from a book or the internet. I have decided that my days of freely travelling around are over and they will get no more of my money. In fact, I used to go to England twice a year being fascinated by British history, but since it has become Muslim, never again. I’m glad I had the opportunity to travel and see what I did see before the world changed but now I only travel in the US and enjoy it just as much. I am dying to see Mount Rushmore and will likely do that this summer. I agree with the above poster who said you have missed nothing. Although we saw it from different perspectives, we reached the same conclusion.

Hi C
Respectfully England hasn’t become Muslim – just like the likes of France, Germany, Sweden and Benelux region. HOWEVER! I AGREE that ALL the aforementioned have a Muslim problem. On that I don’t disagree with you.
You could, hypothetically, support areas like Cornwall or Devon which have virtually zero Muslim problems, and, ergo, support non Muslims in England, via tourism. All you have to do is NOT travel to the likes of London, Birmingham, Luton, Bradford etc
But why would you, when you can go to traditional, rural true England, like I recommend, above.
I likewise support – enthusiastically – you considering the likes of Hungary, Poland, Czechia and Slovakia for a good holiday. True patriotic nations ?
Please DO remember though you CAN support non Muslims in Western countries by travelling to non problematic regions ?
Giacomo Latta says
Yes, James Lincoln, Wellington is missing something. He is missing the wondrous aroma of fecal matter upon entering a restaurant in Morocco.

Thank you, James. Very kind of you to write what you did. Much appreciated. Now, back to the fight opposing what Islam intends for us all. Take care

Turkey is a beautiful country, I’m so sorry that they make a shit sharia country from it. Islam destroys everything, it is not good for tourism
gravenimage says
Grimly true, European pagan. There are things I would love to see in Turkey, but I would not go now.
JMB says
“Islam destroys everything”, that is an interesting comment. (Just as a matter of debate) What would countries like Egypt, Turkey and Persia (Iran) be like today if they had not been conquered by Islam?
Norger says
You are right. Istanbul f/k/a Constantinople is one of the greatest cities in the world.
tim gallagher says
I agree that “Islam destroys everything”, European pagan. It’s a good summary. It certainly destroys all the good and enjoyable aspects of life. There’s no fun in Islam and all that crap. When I read this report about a sharia-compliant tourist resort, I thought, what a bloody hopeless, totally miserable holiday a normal human being would have at such a place.

…and the blissful pleasure of hearing some rat-faced raghead yodeling his damn ‘call to prayer’ (via wall-mounted megaphone speakers mounted in every room), five times a day, beginning at dawn every day, and with all the melodic strains of someone who has been severely constipated for the last 6 weeks. Yeah, you’d pay damn good money for that, hey?!

The irony here is that vacationers who head to resorts are often people who want to take a break from their hectic work where they are too busy earning money. Sharia compliant muslims often don’t work but are on welfare. So the resort will only have visitors who have put aside a bit of their welfare money aside to come here, unless they’re the unscrupulous ones who play the system and collect welfare while stashing lots of money under someone else’s name.
J_not_a says
Honestly, why on earth would anybody in their right mind even consider holidaying in any mooslum country to begin with? There are so many drawbacks, where does one start? Even a cursory knowledge of their violent, misogynistic, unhygienic, animal and child abusive habits and customs should put one off of ever going near any of their habitats at all whatsoever.

Who would want to go to Islamic countries for holidays? Why give them Christian money?
black adder says
Maybe their target group is not Christians anymore.
Michael Pillon says
I have zero sympathy for anyone holidaying in Turkey. The country has a genocidal history that relatively eclipses even that of Germany, and is currently occupying the northern half of a neighbouring country.
if Turkey is your holiday destination, the only thing you deserve is a severe case of food poisoning.

Turks slaughtered thousands while capturing the capital of the Roman Empire in 1453, and turned the most beautiful church in Christendom into a victory mosque. The Istanbul Conquest Society organizes the celebration of Muslim bloodlust every May 29th in fully degenerate Islamic fashion.
