Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

HBO runs yet another anti-Catholic series, remains silent on Muslims

Feb 17, 2020 3:00 pm By Robert Spencer

HBO executives are doubtless congratulating themselves for their “courage,” but it doesn’t take any courage at all to skewer the Catholic Church today. When will they be courageous enough to take on Islam, which, with the rampant human rights abuses occasioned by Sharia, would be fertile ground for a lurid miniseries like The New Pope? Oh, around never.

“Column: HBO — Vicious to Christians, Silent on Muslims,” by Brent Bozell and Tim Graham, NewsBusters, February 15, 2020:

HBO is currently running a dark little miniseries called The New Pope, which is basically a reboot of 2017’s The Young Pope. Both sprang from the mind of Italian creator Paolo Sorrentino, and both are scabrously anti-Catholic, which never hurts you with the elites in Manhattan and Hollywood.

The Young Pope starred Jude Law as the first American pope, painted as so doctrinaire that he wanted to end the sexual abuse problem by drumming all the homosexuals out of the priesthood. A papal aide protested: “It would be a war that would leave the ground littered with corpses, Holy Father. Do you want to know how many corpses would litter the ground?” The pontiff replied “Two-thirds of the clergy.”

Then each man compared the Church to a Third World dictatorship.

The New Pope stars John Malkovich as an effete English pontiff who threatens to shred the Bible and open the Church to gay marriages. The first show ended with Jude Law’s pope having a cardiac arrest. Now he’s in a coma, after three failed heart transplants. First, the Cardinals elected a Franciscan named Francis II, but he proposed selling off all the church’s wealth, so they had him killed. Then they turned to the Malkovich character, who’s named John Paul III. This is a wicked little joke suggesting John Paul I – who died 38 days after his installation in 1978 – was bumped off…

Speaking of pure mischief, it makes you imagine the possibilities of the Bill Maher Channel going off in a different direction, with a mischievous miniseries called The New Ayatollah. Instead of uncorking wild and crazy conspiracy theories in Vatican City, it could be based in Tehran. Iran’s highest religious authorities can all be shown to be corrupted by power and addicted to sex. Hollywood celebrities could drop by to demand the Koran be upgraded.

Somehow the Christians are always caricatured, and the Muslims are never touched. So how brave are these godless show runners?

Religious discrimination is alright for Leftards if Christians and Israelis are the targets.

Agnostic Bill Maher is one of the most honest of the Leftards. He actually said that ‘Islam is the mother lode of bad ideas.’ The Left is rather unable to disagree with that statement either. They secretly agree.

Bill Maher agreed that it isn’t wise to criticize Islam: ‘Because if you criticize them, they will blanket-blank kill you!’

I am a devout and conservative Catholic and enjoyed The Young Pope. Christ in Piss does not make me angry – it makes me sad for people who actually like that stuff and call it art. Malkovich was a great Hercule Poirot. Let’s see. Cetero censeo islam esse delendam.

Amen, brother. Malkovich is a superb actor. It’s just a TV drama. Everybody, get a grip. The church can handle criticism, but this pope is giving political assistance to atheist Globalists, rather than evangelizing them. Evangelism is the pope’s principle duty. He is failing in his principle duty.

I just laughed at the Two Popes:the actors are superb and the the director is pretty good BUT it was so obviously a pro-francis propaganda piece and I know it offended many catholics by its portrayal of francis as the nicest man in the World …..which is 100% at odds with reality.

You would think francis is the reluctant papal savior come to reform the catholic church:except he is pretty much demolishing everything and reforming it it seems in his own image.

The Catholic Church administration should always be differentiated from the Catholic belief itself so as to be fair to Catholics:it is the former that has caused ALL of the problems in the Catholic Church starting with the catastrophe of Vatican 2,and not faithful Catholics themselves.

    {see1 Corinthians 5 immorality in the church :St Paul says that “Should you not judge the members of your own fellowship.As the scripture says “remove the evil man from your group”}

“Remove the evil man from your group”:Clearly ,senior clergymen failed to do that.

It was always my belief that immoral clergymen should be sacked or removed from office.

Catholics are not responsible for immoral clergy:that was the responsibility of the men who run the Church,Bishops and cardinals. It was THEIR duty to deal with it and remove the offenders. And clearly they failed to do what the Gospel said to do :”Remove the evil man from your group”

And now we have a lefty marxist jesuit pope in Rome appointing his pro-islam,pro-NWO YES men to positions of power in the church:I am sure some{but not all Catholics} are aware of that famous{Catholic approved!}prophecy of St Francis Of Assisi about a false pope called the destroyer. In any case,I’d watch the Vatican as it is now more a POLITICAL center than a spiritual center.

Too true, the rank and file Catholics are just mindless sheep and the vatican organisation are rabid jackals in sheeps clothing.
Would be great, in the interests of balance of course, to see a series about Islam like this.
They could play it on the comedy channel.
But then, that would require someone with balls in the production office.

FYI, do you know Francis personally? You do not. In fairness, it is presumptuous to call him names. He is uninformed about Islam. His mind appears to be closed. That can change.

I know many who are sincerely mistaken about Islam. We have to find ways to open their minds to the reality that Islam has an anti-Christian agenda.

Roman Catholics who send their offerings to counter-jihad clergy will make the point if enough of them do it.

I am not in any church, but I have faithful Catholics in my own family who are pretty au fait with things going on in the Vatican:do you know ANYTHING at all about Catholic prophecy mr mortimer?

Of course you don’t ,why would you?

Have you read ANY of the official documents about Fatima 1917 mr mortimer?

Are you acquainted with any “Roman Catholics” personally?

Do you know anything about say, the errors introduced into liturgy post Vatican 2?

Do you know about Fatima 1917 ,about the ecclesiastical freemasonry that has reached the highest level in the Church?

Does the expression “the smoke of satan has entered the church” uttered by Paul VI ring ANY bells for you?

Are you familiar with la salette, the prophecies of st Francis of Assisi?

Did you know about Dubbia 2016,the filial consiliation, the Cardinals asking francis to resign for his heresies?

NO.You don’t know any of this do you!

“He is uninformed about islam” you say?
Do you know francis personally? You do not.

Mr mortimer, pope francis is a JESUIT:they spend a lot of time studying.

He most certainly DOES know and he doesn’t need you to naively defend his foolish defense of islam.

Do some research first……it is obvious that you clearly know absolutely NOTHING about Catholicism or Catholic prophecy!!

“His mind appears to be closed. That can change”

        How do YOU know?

Do you know Francis personally? You do not.

So let us see what fruit francis bears…..

We know a man by his works. In this case, the names he has been called are not relegated to the category of name calling … rather adjectives. His creating new sins… his political alliances, his theocratic alliance, his meetings with Barack Hussein Obama .. Michael Moore… et al…his rewriting of prayers… his vapid pretending of piety and humility and living in poverty… oh please… we know him by his works. And, by his works he is judged.

Too true :it is not the outward surface of a man,of how he appears, but what fruit does he bear.

Jesus warned about false shepherds{wolves} disguised as sheep.

The ‘works’ of francis include Heresy, promoting Apostasy, promoting his YES men, altering the cathecism, inventing new sins against the environment, making the papacy a POLITICAL office{note all the NWO meetings including on population control, the Amazon synod which deeply offended Catholics, the pachama idols in church etc}and it is now very likely he will cause a SCHISM.

Here are 2 revealing comments:the First by a faithful Catholic clergyman. The second is by francis.

“We are in a truly dark moment for the church.
The supreme pontiff is now blatantly LYING to cover up his wicked deeds”
          Archibishop Carlo maria Vigano
          {This was I believe in relation to the cardinal mc carrick case}

“It is a mistake for the church to hold onto old traditions
or to have clear answers for everything”
          pope francis

A mistake to “hold on to old traditions”:but Traditions are the basis of Catholicism. There’s nothing wrong with ‘old’ traditions!

And what is a Cathecism for only to provide “clear answers for everything”?

I am waiting for the series that will never happen, one covering the child sexual abuse in madrasas and other Muslim religious schools/camps/sports/etc. The Catholic Church knew they had bad priests and simply hid the truth. As usual, Muslim women and children are left to fend for themselves, even in democracies with strong records on women’s and children’s rights. They have no investigative reporter from MSNBC, CNN, Google, Disney or any other news organization to help uncover the facts.

Again… we need to unify our criticism to get the ball rolling and put it into our opponents’ court: it’s past time to start a single-item campaign asking prominent “mainstream” American Muslims (including Dr. Dre, Shaq, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Tlaib, Omar-Elmi, Sarsour, CAIR heads, “moderate imams” er al..) and lefty islamophiles like Bloomberg, Pelosi, Schumer, Oprah) for their public thoughts on the sanctioned punishment in all sects of Islam being death. See if they try and weasel out by saying “oh, um…. er… it’s an archaic practice not done in centuries because “there is no compulsion in Islam”!”….. then educate them bigly! That should be the goal by this July 4!

As Sam Harris wrote, when The Book of Mormon” show played on Broadway, Mormons bought advertising on the playbill (“if you liked the show you’ll love the book”). In contrast, the idea of a “Book of Islam” show or play on Broadway (or any similar satire ) is simply unthinkable, unless the producers have a death wish. Things like that (e.g. cartoon contests) will reliably draw Islamic violence, even in the US, so we self-censor.

Then there is the matter of a sword cutting their head off that helps keep them towing the line. Its a pity todays gere are gutless sissy’s. The Men and Women in Ww1 Ww2 the Korean War and one War film/movie on VietNam had the bravery to honor the valor of American Soldiers and our Values rather than sinking to the lowest common denominator.
