Hamas-linked CAIR’s Ibrahim “Honest Ibe” Hooper is enraged, saying: “Just as we called for the resignation of the previous Islamophobic official (Jones), we urge Mr. Stewart to resign from his post and for a person who understands constitutionally guaranteed religious freedoms to be appointed in his place.”
Well, let’s see. Jones said some clearly obnoxious things. But what did Stewart say?
“Last February, Stewart shared a Trump supporter’s post on his private Facebook account that said: ‘I refuse to bend, twist or change to make Muslims feel comfortable in MY COUNTRY. They either adhere to our laws or leave! THIS IS MY COUNTRY! Understood???'”
So he said Muslims should adhere to U.S. laws or leave. This is, or should be, true of anyone: no one who doesn’t intend to obey U.S. laws should be here. Apparently Hooper thinks that violates “constitutionally guaranteed religious freedoms,” or that his easy marks will buy the twaddle he’s selling (in that, he is probably right).
“Stewart also shared a post that described anyone who took the Oath of Office on a Quran, the holy book of Islam, as a traitor, accompanied by a photo of U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, a Democrat from Minnesota, who was one of the first two Muslim women sworn into Congress.”
Whenever this kind of thing comes up, there is no discussion of what the Qur’an actually says. It calls for warfare against and the subjugation of unbelievers, second-class status for women, hatred of Jews, and more. So a case can be made that Stewart was right. At very least, the public discussion should take place. The idea that one cannot even raise questions about the wisdom of oath-taking on the Qur’an is in line with the Left’s sinister and increasingly open authoritarianism, but it is not in line with the American principle of free inquiry.
“Stewart told the Kokomo Tribune that he believes America was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, and that Shariah law directly conflicts with U.S. constitutional law.”
AP doesn’t bother to mention it, but Sharia mandates second-class status for non-Muslims in women, death for homosexuals, warfare against and subjugation of unbelievers, and more that is plainly at variance with U.S. constitutional law.
So Stewart’s points are sound. The fact that he is being called upon to apologize and resign for making them is a sign of how much Hamas-linked CAIR has made inroads into the public square, and stigmatized any honest discussion of the motivating ideology behind jihad violence.
“Indiana official ‘sorry’ for Islamophobic posts won’t resign,” Associated Press, February 20, 2020:
KOKOMO, Ind. (AP) — An Indiana councilman whose predecessor resigned after posting Islamophobic comments online says he will not step down after he was also criticized for sharing similar views on Facebook.
Roger Stewart, a member of the Kokomo Common Council, was elected last week by the Howard County Republican Party. He replaced Greg Jones, who resigned Jan. 17, after his Islamophobic and homophobic Facebook posts from 2015 came to light.
Last February, Stewart shared a Trump supporter’s post on his private Facebook account that said: “I refuse to bend, twist or change to make Muslims feel comfortable in MY COUNTRY. They either adhere to our laws or leave! THIS IS MY COUNTRY! Understood???”
Stewart also shared a post that described anyone who took the Oath of Office on a Quran, the holy book of Islam, as a traitor, accompanied by a photo of U.S. Rep. Ilhan Omar, a Democrat from Minnesota, who was one of the first two Muslim women sworn into Congress.
Stewart said Tuesday, after photos of his posts were published online, that he was “incredibly sorry” if he had “shared something offensive to anyone,” adding that hadn’t been his intent. But he said he would not resign.
“I am an imperfect Christian (who) is also a proud American,” Stewart said in a statement to the Kokomo Tribune. “I served our United States proudly as an Army veteran. I take full responsibility for my shared post. These views do not represent my colleagues, friends, or family.”
The Council on American-Islamic Relations, the nation’s largest Muslim advocacy organization, called on Stewart to step down.
“Just as we called for the resignation of the previous Islamophobic official (Jones), we urge Mr. Stewart to resign from his post and for a person who understands constitutionally guaranteed religious freedoms to be appointed in his place,” said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper.
While Jones was running for a council seat in 2015, he posted on Facebook that Muslims are “Goat-Humpers” and said Islam is “a Theocratic Moon Cult.” He also wrote that homosexuality is “a crime against nature.” He has said he regrets saying that.
Stewart told the Kokomo Tribune that he believes America was founded on Judeo-Christian principles, and that Shariah law directly conflicts with U.S. constitutional law.
Shariah is a broad set of values and principles that serves as guidelines for people who practice Islam, including marriages, funerals, dietary laws and even banking practices. Its interpretation varies depending on the community….

Hooper is a POC. I heard him on the radio right after 9/11 saying that the koran forbids terrorism but one has to be able to read it in arabic to know that. Forgive me if I’m wrong, but weren’t all the hijackers arab? Typical muslim “spokesman.” Spread the “faith” through lies.

CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper calls for “a person who understands constitutionally guaranteed religious freedoms to be appointed in his place,”
What he means is he wants a dhimmi (an infidel appeaser of and submitter to Islam) in office if muslim can not be, not a person who understands Freedom of Speech and the right to criticize any religion including Islam.

Interesting that Facebook is part of this article. From what we’ve seen Facebook (Zuckerberg) monitors their version of hate speech, even on so-called private accounts. Makes one wonder if Facebook (or some employee of theirs) is leaking these posts to CAIR.
Even the thought of that possibility puts a chill on free speech in the public square – exactly where Islam must be exposed.

I don’t understand why it seems so difficult to state politely that the laws of the land prevail when religious laws and/or practices are in conflict with them. Period. Although this should be obvious (and is to anyone with a functional IQ) perhaps it should be strongly emphasized to any perspective immigrant — especially those who are accustomed to living under religious laws.
That the “laws of the land” have their basis in Judeo-Christian belief is irrelevant to the discussion. The only relevant point is that they are the law.
PRCS says
Politely being key.
When will they get it?
Note to politicians:
Don’t make STUPID, INACCURATE comments about Islam or Muslims.
Stick to the specific aspects of Islamic law which are antithetical to and incompatible with the U.S. Constitution and relevant U.S. law, and let Muslims publicly defend those aspects.
Start here:
The amputation of a thief’s hand: The Qur’an CAIR provides per their ‘Explore the Qur’an’ campaign does not condemn/denounce/renounce 5:38, Rather, it explains why, when, to whom and by whom that ‘divine’ punishment is to be carried out.
“Islam is a Theocratic Moon Cult”
How about just Islam is a theocracy and leave it at that, Jones?
How would Hooper have rebutted those points?
keith says
Quite simply he/it can’t.
The use of simple logic is beyond these people and anyway, pointing out that the law of the land must be obeyed is pointless when there is a group who believe they only have to obey God’s law.
Many years ago I had to enforce local laws upon a fundamentalist Christian cult who only obey God’s law.
This is just so similar.
PRCS says
I agree, Keith.
Though, IMO, Muslims–due to Islam’s nature/demands–are less likely to put that aside.
Dorothy Davies says
Please do not equate Allah with God – (the name we give to theLord, introduced to us Christians by the Jews.) The spirit worshipped by Mohammed was the moon god of his tribe. “By their fruits you shall know them” – this is the warning Jesus gave us so that even the simplest person can recognise an action that is inspired by the true God.
Or Else! says
Islam is obviously more than just a religion.
Why is there a need for CAIR in the first place? Why would a “religion”–especially one of “peace”–need a “relations” organization with its own country?
Because Islam is a theocratic, supremacist ideology with its own set of laws–Shari’ah. It needs a “relations/grievance” organization with any country it does not rule.
James Lincoln says
Or Else! says,
“Why is there a need for CAIR in the first place? Why would a “religion”–especially one of “peace”–need a “relations” organization with its own country?”
Interestingly, organizations like CAIR are not needed in islamic theocracies, i.e., Iran, etc.
In non-muslim majority countries, organizations like CAIR are only needed as a “bridge” until a country becomes a full islamic republic.
This could definitely happen in countries like Sweden, etc.

No.

Without Sharia there is no Islam.
As Fouad Belkacem of Sharia4Belgium explained,
“Sharia is Islam, and Islam is Sharia”.
Sharia is not optional.

The trick–IMO–is to paint Muslims into the corner of “is there any aspect of sharia you disagree with?

King Abdullah of Jordan virtually re-wrote the Quran to omit the Jihad Supremacist verses in an effort to prevent radical/political Islam from growing in Jordan. French President Macron (based on a study signed by 300 leading French intellectuals) requested of Islam that it remove violent teachings from the Quran. In China, the only Quran that can be purchased are those sold (and re-written) in China. The world should continue exhorting Islam to remove the hate speech from the Quran and other foundational documents of Islam. Ahmadiyya Islam claims to have denied the violence of the Quran.

I couldn’t find out how to reach Roger Stewart, but I did email the Republican Party chair who felt she needed to apologize for him and told her I support him. I’m sick of CAIR and other organizations who take the slightest offense at casual comments, retweets, etc. and form a demolition squad to ruin the “offenders” life. People who come here SHOULD obey our laws. What’s wrong with that???

Not just the ones who come here, but those born here, too,
Long past time to challenge native born Muslims to publicly reject those of Islam’s texts which are incomparable with U.S. law.

This news article is the very definition of “biased.”
The guy has freedom of speech…just as the lying moslims have in this country. Neither of the councilmen should apologize for speaking the Truth about islam. That just makes things worse.
And a religion can be practiced…as long as laws are not broken, such as human/animal sacrifice, rape of children, murder, etc….but freedom of religion does not mean **freedom from being criticized, mocked, lied about (as Christians regularly are), insulted…and esp not from the Truth about said religion.**
Hideous hooper is just trying to play slight of mouth with this phrase “constitutionally guaranteed religious freedoms. ” islam has no more guarantees than any other belief, and it’s lack of “values and principles” should be published far and wide. Its code of conduct…referred to as “law,” is the direct opposite…it is wanton lawlessness and demonic evil, straight from satan the devil.
No apologies for the Truth…ever. Don’t be “sorry”…be brave and demonstrate integrity. islam stinks. One day it will no longer exist.
James Lincoln says

Interesting how some of one faith feel they are not subject to the laws that everyone else is based on their religion. This is just as bad as it being acceptable to run someone over while driving on the wrong side of the road and get a free pass because of the political position of your spouse. We should not have multiple levels of responsibility for different people. We should all be subject to the same laws in the same way if you are a private citizen, clergy, government, or with the police. Giving people a free pass for major crimes is a big problem. I can see where someone with diplomatic immunity should not be charged for parking tickets, but murder is another thing.
Why a religious group that has not had any influence in the USA and other countries should get a free pass because their founder was the whitest of all of them should not make a difference. Yes Jesus was darker skinned than Mohammad, and he was also lighter in complexion than all of the Jewish kings in the holy land.
I’m not by any means saying that Christ was blue eyed, as his eyes were actually green. There have been two people that have painted an accurate picture of him, and the latest was a young American girl, previously it was a young man that did some of the paintings in Italy Raphael and others have been forgotten to history. There are no paintings that are accurate of Mohammad that I’m aware of.

Bob Dylan, folk singer, wrote and performed in 1963 “With God on Our Side” during the V. Nam war. It’s message: people rationalize that wars are necessary to promote their moral value system or to justify the breaking of those laws in war on behalf of their God. FYI: the lyrics is online; Dylan was a better writer than singer so skip the performance video.
Our Judeo-Christian laws contradict Sharia Law thus we can extrapolate the end result. If we believe the Judeo-Christian God (Yahweh) is the one true God, then we must stand up to keep our Constitution intact or it will be removed and replaced by Sharia Law in the name of their god, Allah. It brings meaning to “With God on Our Side.” Miracles have happened in my life while praying to MY CHRISTIAN GOD so I know the one true God and whose side he is on for both me and country.
At the same time Peter, Paul and Mary, performed the folksong “Where Have All the Flowers Gone?” (written by Pete Seeger, in 1955, one of the trio)…rep. line..”when will they ever learn” reference to wars…showing my age, been there, lived it and it was hell. Time to stand up to the stealth invasion of both communism and incompatible Islamic theocracy.

Everyone should obey the law. Without laws you have no society. It’s kind of funny that CAIR complains about obeying the law. Islam has some of the strictest laws effecting their society and freedoms and they want the whole world to follow their brutal rule of law. Bad news for islamics, follow the laws of America or do the time and if you do not want to follow our laws you are welcome to leave!
Clifton Dawley says
Mr. Hooper fails to realize that under the Constitution all Americans have the right to criticize any ideology they wish to. It matters not that they hold any political or non-political position in the land. Mr. Stewart took no one,s freedom away. It is in fact Mr. Hooper’s Muslim Brotherhood and his affiliate Hamas who have exercised Sharia to limit person’s freedoms. Sharia says the infidel may not criticize the perfect book of Allah or the most perfect man who ever lived, Muhammad. Islamophobia is a tactical word developed by the Muslim Brotherhood many years ago in order to render tolerance obsessed Americans speechless and to incrementally advance Islam and it’s law in the land of the infidel. Islam advances towards it’s caliphate as long as American politicians remain spineless and that applies to faith leaders too. The Muslim Brotherhood tactically uses our laws against us. It is time to put CAIR to rest as a terrorist (Hamas) organization as other counties have done. “Just as we called for the resignation of the previous Islamophobic official (Jones), we urge Mr. Stewart to resign from his post and for a person who understands constitutionally guaranteed religious freedoms to be appointed in his place,” said CAIR National Communications Director Ibrahim Hooper.
