“J Street president Jeremy Ben-Ami embraced Palestinian Authority leader Mahmoud Abbas after the latter made statements at a hotel on Tuesday following his remarks earlier at a U.N. Security Council session, denouncing the Trump administration’s Mideast peace plan.”
Consider the views of Abbas and his quotes about Israel and Jews:
- “In a final resolution, we would not see the presence of a single Israeli – civilian or soldier – on our lands,” referring to a future Palestinian state.
- Abbas did his PhD thesis on Holocaust denial and “a personal friend of Abbas, who praised his oratory skills and said that Abbas had presented 93 documents to prove his claims. Later in the show, the channel lauded Dalal Al-Mughrabi, who led the 1978 Coastal Road terrorist attack in Israel, and other terrorists who launched ‘heroic operations’ from Lebanon, saying that they ’embodied the epitome of martyrdom in occupied Palestine.'”
- In a blood libel statement, Abbas declared: “Certain rabbis in Israel have said very clearly to their government that our water should be poisoned in order to have Palestinians killed.”
- “The Al-Aqsa [Mosque] is ours, and they have no right to defile it with their filthy feet. We will not allow them to, and we will do everything in our power to protect Jerusalem.”
- “Call yourselves what you want but I will not accept it…the ‘Jewish State’…I will not accept it.”
- “We find that Zionists believe in the purity of the Jewish race, as Hitler believed in the purity of the Aryan race. Zionism calls to find a fundamental final solution to the Jewish question in Europe by immigration to Palestine. Hitler also called for this and implemented it.”
- “We welcome every drop of blood spilled in Jerusalem.”
- Abbas stated that “the root cause of the Holocaust was not so much the Nazis’ genocidal hatred of Jews as the Jews’ own conduct, specifically their ‘social behaviour’, adding that he meant ‘their social function related to banks and interest.'”
- On February 2, 2020, it was reported in Financial Times that “Mahmoud Abbas, the Palestinian president, has cut relations with Israel and the US, in response to proposals by Donald Trump that pave the way for Israel to annex more occupied Palestinian land.”
Yet J-Street is embracing and abetting Abbas.
Abbas is clever in roping in J Street. He already has his Palestinian “resistance” interests secured in the House (Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar, et al), and he knows how to expand his jihadist interests using J-Street. It isn’t the first time, either. Last year, Abbas met with representative of the group in Ramallah for “dialogue.” Abbas welcomed the delegation, led by Ben Ami, and expressed his “appreciation for their efforts to support the peace process within American society.”
J-Street is helping Abbas to “free Palestine from the [Jordan] River to the [Mediterranean] Sea,” that is, to obliterate Israel.
The Republican Jewish (RJC) coalition tweeted in response to J-Street:
RJC’s Twitter thread concluded: “Abbas’s ‘government’ paid $330,000,000 to terrorists and the families of ‘martyrs’ who target Jews. They can even earn more based on if Jews die, and how many die. That’s who @jstreetdotorg and @JeremyBenAmi embrace so warmly.”
In Canada, the J-Street parallel is J-Space.
“Besties: J Street President Embraces Abbas Following UN Security Council Appearance,” by Jackson Richman, Jewish Press, February 12, 2020:
Jeremy Ben-Ami, the president of the radical left-wing group J Street, embraced Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas in New York on Tuesday and appeared to kiss him.
J Street styles itself as “pro-Israel, pro-peace,” but it frequently lobbies against Israel. It has opposed Israeli wars of self-defense against Hamas terrorists, for example, and opposes President Donald Trump’s new peace plan for the Middle East, even though it explicitly endorses the two-state solution, which J Street claims to support.
Abbas, elected in 2005, is now in the 16th year of what was supposed to be a four-year presidential term. He has rejected American and Israeli calls to stop paying stipends to Palestinian terrorists and their families — even though his intransigence has resulted in lowered tax transfers from Israel and the loss of U.S. aid.
The Palestinian president also has a long history of antisemitic rhetoric, including Holocaust denial. In 2018, even J Street felt compelled to condemn Abbas for making antisemitic remarks in a speech to Palestinian leaders (Abbas later apologized).
A few months later, the J Street leader traveled to Ramallah, where Abbas thanked him for J Street’s work in opposing the Trump administration’s policies and for supporting the “peace process.”
On Tuesday, Abbas denounced Trump’s peace plan — which acknowledges Israeli sovereignty over Jerusalem, allows Israel to annex parts of Judea and Samaria necessary for its security, and makes Palestinian statehood conditional on a renunciation of terror — at the United Nations Security Council.
Ben-Ami greeted him warmly afterwards, following a press conference Abbas held with former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert at a Manhattan hotel……

What benefit does J-Street get from embracing a ferocious anti-Semite?
What is the benefit obtained by this photo-op ???
Roland says
Yes, Mortimer. This was quite a brazen act by Jeremy Ben-Ami. He must have felt free to express his true feelings. No need to conceal or dissemble anymore.

Some Pallies have said they want Jerusalem to be the capital of a world-wide caliphate.
Does J-Street agree with that plan?
Or does J-Street think Tel Aviv is the capital of Israel?

No surprise, Europe’s left wing governments greet Abbas warmly too.
Obviously, most left-wing groups seem to be internationally coordinated and sponsored. It’s terrifying.

J Street wasn’t “roped in.”
J-Street is an extension of the anti-Israel, judenhass wing (Talib,Omar,Ocasio-Cortez, Farrakhan) of the Democratic Party.

Attempting to make friends with the “beast” in order to keep “buying and selling.” (Revelation 13)
It is true that many people **live** to make money, hoard money, spend money lavishly, or anything that centers around money and having control of large amounts. There is power in money, prestige in money, celebrity in money and others wish to be close to, shake hands, dine with, and marry those who have money. Just for a few examples.
Rare is it for anyone to do anything without considering what profit is in it for the one taking action. Many are the times the profit is money. (Like some diseases are “rare” even when they affect thousands, there are many who act without thinking about how they will benefit. But this is “rare” compared to how the majority of people see things.)
One of King Solomon’s wise writings says, “Money is for a protection the same as wisdom is for a protection, but wisdom preserves alive the owner. (Ecc. 7:12).” We all need money for food, shelter, clothing, etc. But the Apostle Paul wrote, “The love of money is the root of all evil.”
Recognizing the difference…between needing the “protection” and “loving” the money that provides the protection…is something few do.
This “J Street” guy is a fool and likely acts based on the “profit” he sees in it.

Is Abbas renouncing the Hamas Covenant???
Or is he actually just toying with us?
Rejection of a Negotiated Peace Settlement:

‘[Peace] initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and
international conferences are in contradiction to the principles of
the Islamic Resistance Movement… Those conferences are no more than
a means to appoint the infidels as arbitrators in the lands of
Islam… There is no solution for the Palestinian problem except by
Jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are but a
waste of time, an exercise in futility.’ (Article 13)

Does George Soros fund “J-Street”?
This Jerusalem Post article says he did.(10/07/13)
Candidly Speaking: J Street is not a ‘pro-Israel’ organization
“The tone is set by J Street’s leadership, which manipulates history and reality with dangerous rhetoric.
Founder and president Jeremy Ben-Ami refuses to recognize Israel as a “Jewish state,” referring to it as a “Jewish democratic home, in the state of Israel.” Co-founder Daniel Levy has described Israel’s creation as “an act that went wrong.” It is noteworthy in this respect that Ben-Ami was also proven to be a serial liar when despite his repeated denials, the anti-Israeli George Soros was exposed as one of his major contributors.”
