Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Jewish Harvard Club member says Muslim Harvard prof called her a whore and bruised her arm

Feb 11, 2020 5:00 pm By Robert Spencer

And she was expelled from the lecture. That’s the state of academia today.

“Jewish Harvard Club member assaulted during pro-Palestinian lecture, lawsuit says,” by Kathianne Boniello, New York Post, February 8, 2020 (thanks to the Geller Report):

A Jewish member of the Harvard Club claims she was assaulted by a professor during a pro-Palestinian lecture at the swanky venue — and then was booted by the Ivy League institution.

Vanesa Levine is suing to get reinstated to the prestigious Midtown club, whose notable present and past members include Michael Bloomberg, John F. Kennedy and Franklin D. Roosevelt.

Levine, 28, a marketing manager in Brooklyn, said she was a newly minted member of the 154-year old club when she and her mom attended a February 2019 lecture called, “The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine” by Rashid Khalidi, a former press officer for the Palestinian Liberation Organization.

She said she “peacefully” asked during a question-and-answer session how Mideast peace could be achieved if Palestinians are taught “to support terrorism against Jews and Israelis.”

The audience erupted in “mob-like” fury at her query, according to the lawsuit.

Harvard finance professor Faris Mousa Saah, 53, called her a whore in Arabic and grabbed her by the arm, bruising it as he tried to take the microphone, according to court papers.

“I’ve been to hell and back ever since the Harvard Club incident,” Levine told The Post.

Though she was eventually able to ask her questions, Levine and her mom, who was born and raised in Israel, were asked by security to leave — with angry audience members following them into the hall, photographing her and chanting, “We’re going to get you expelled,” she charges.

Once on the sidewalk, Levine filmed herself talking about the incident and posted it to Facebook, where the video was viewed more than 50,000 times.

Saah later claimed he had feared Levine would hurt Khalidi and that she had been “aggressively and maniacally” dancing around with the microphone, according to court papers….

“I don’t remember having been at the lecture,” Saah told The Post. “There’s not a single word of accuracy in any of that,” he said of Levine’s charges.

A spokeswoman for the Harvard Club claimed Levine “disrupted a Club program. She was subsequently removed from membership in accordance with the Club’s bylaws.”

No surprise here. Just standard fare for a Buttlim, including Buttlim profs at Harvard.

You see, the real problem in all of this is that Islam has been “mainstreamed” in the West and huge numbers of non-Muslims still accept the fallacious idea that Muslim bad behavior is the exception among Muslims and that Islam itself is OK.

    No it is not.

We have to assume that any Muslim, no matter how friendly they appear, is capable of changing into a terrorist in a second. I live in Israel and Muslims are all around us. I’ve had several experiences in which the Muslim was being very friendly, but after I said good-bye and turned around, behind my back he cursed Americans. Then I knew another one, a young guy, very polite and nice, but one night he had heard an imam making a speech of incitement and he took an ax and beat his friend over the head several times. I saw it on a security video. Can you call this psychopathic behavior? I don’t know, but I trust none of them. They are supreme fakers. And any of them can be brainwashed.

Many of my dearest Jewish friends are noble souls who want to believe the best about Islam and about Muslims in general. However, they are too often naïve and uninformed about Islamic teachings. I point out to them that though 35% of Muslims are non-practicing, 15% of Muslims are in favor of terrorism. The other 50% are somewhere in the middle.

I wish I could inform the Western world about the teaching of Al Walaa wal Baraa (Islamic apartheid). It is one of the three most important teachings of Islam. Without an understanding of W-B, no one can understand the MOTIVE of jihadists and Muslims in general. Only 35% of Muslims don’t believe in W-B, but many of the ‘secular’ Muslims unconsciously feel discriminatory feelings against the dirty kufaar.

Excellent post, mortimer. But I would, for the record, approximately double that 15% figure you mentioned (and even if “only” 15% this still amounts to around 240 million Muslim “enthusiasts”).

Biggest problem is that Islam itself, in its theological blueprint, most certainly endorses terrorism and herein lies the rub or the essence, i.e., the ideology itself is paramount and not the fact that many adherents of a warped, freedom-crushing, ungracious, intolerant ideology don’t themselves know about, or want to implement, all its iniquitous dictates.

The ideology is key. Adherents of any ideology, good or bad, are secondary. After all, some Christians have been oppressive in the way they have implemented Christianity (exactly what I incurred when young from more than a few Christians) but Christianity should not be judged on this basis, an ideology that in its theory does not, contra Islam, pose a threat to liberty or a true Golden Rule for all.

As always, I write with great respect for you, mortimer.

Mortimer, Excellent post from you and also Wellington’s reply on this important point. The devil is always in the detail – and with Islam (or indeed any religion), that means the tenets in its holy scriptures.

The Quran and the Sunnah spell out the tenets all Muslims should follow; whether they do so or not is up to them. Like the adherents of other religions, some Muslims are not very devout, while others follow their scriptures to the letter. and it is this latter group – from 15% to 30% of Muslims (depending on the survey), which supports violent jihad against other faiths. Fewer still (less than 1%) would be categorized as devout radical extremists (sociopaths or psychopaths) who would actually carry out the actual violence – but even that small percentage still means millions of potential jihadis in the world.

The Quran alludes to this: “Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah. Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance].” (Q33:23). Although the number of extremists is very small, there are more than enough to ensure that jihad will be a feature of Islam for the foreseeable future.

There are over 100 verses in the Quran alone preaching violent jihad; and Muhammad was still ‘receiving these violent revelations from Allah’ just before he died (Quran 9:5, 9:14-15, 9:29, 9:36-44, 9:73, 9:111, 9:122, 9:123) – which according to the principle of abrogation, would make them even more authentic.

As for the Harvard prof who called this Jewish lady “a whore” and bruised her arm – how else would one expect a devout Muslim to react toward a Jewish woman? His outlook on life would have been largely determined by the dozens of Quranic verses denigrating Jews and urging Muslims to hate them – like these (Quran 5:51, 5:78, 5:82, 28:48, 98:6).

As Wellington said, “The ideology is key”!

Has anyone considered that the Mosques are facilitators of violence among Muslim Immigrants?

Imagine how difficult the first years in a “foreign” nation must be for the new arrival; lack of language, employment, and a sense of loneliness would be overwhelming. Where to go for companionship and familiar language? The Mosque. And what does one hear at the Mosque? Justification for displacing one’s frustration and personal failure into aggression against unbelievers and Jews.

I would posit that the Mosque is the central origin of Muslim immigrant violence, whether by doctrine or associations.

A spokeswoman for the Harvard Club claimed Levine “disrupted a Club program. She was subsequently removed from membership in accordance with the Club’s bylaws.”
    ………………….

How common has *this* become? Someone makes a reasonable statement, or even just asks a reasonable question, and when others–Muslims and their dhimmis–react with aggression the peaceful figure is charged with “disruption” or “inciting violence”. This allows the most aggressive or even violent to control what is and is not allowed to be said.

And this young woman was then crudely insulted and actually assaulted–but apparently this is just fine, because her assailant was with the mob. Just grotesque.

And students fight, cheat, bribe, pay enormous sums of money, etc., in order to attend “Harvard”.

A true little anecdote, admittedly not representative of all Harvard University Medical School graduate residents…

I once mentored a Harvard University Medical School graduate resident about a dozen years ago whose goal was to become board-certified in family medicine. Out of the dozens of residents that I have mentored over the years, this “Harvard grad” was the absolute worst. Very arrogant, and he thought he knew more than all of the attending physicians combined – especially if learned that they got their medical degree from “State U”.

His arrogance did not allow him to “know that he didn’t know”.

    I pitied his future patients…

As the lawyer I am, James, a graduate with a JD from a “public university,” as well as is the case with both my sister and brother-in-law, it is quite well understood in the legal community that the worst (and most arrogant) lawyers are those from the Ivy League (and a few other “special schools”).

Ivy League lawyers are a joke. They know little and are consumed by arrogance. No better example can I site than Barrack Obama who, a Harvard Law graduate, quite ignorantly stated before the UN that “the future should not belong to those who slander the Prophet (“Profit”?) Mohammed.” Problem is, as Obama should have known, you can’t slander a dead person. Thus in microcosm, I rest my case.

        Greetings Wellington,

My brother received his JD from a “non-Ivy League school”. He is very bright did extremely well in law school, and scored near the very top on his bar exam.

He has owned his own law firm for many years, is very honest, and is very well respected. Over the years, he has employed a number of lawyers with different educational backgrounds, some from Ivy League schools, some from other private schools; others from public universities.

He stated to be unequivocally that his very best lawyer was a graduate from a public university who was also a combat Army veteran. This particular veteran was incredibly intelligent, very polite, and not easily intimidated. He had directed convoys in Iraq with the ever present danger of AK-47 fire – and IED’s.

You are spot on regarding Barack Obama. According to Merriam-Webster:

        Definition of slander:

1: the utterance of false charges or misrepresentations which defame and damage another’s reputation

2: a false and defamatory oral statement about a person

So Obama, in his ignorance, would consider making TRUE and accurate statements regarding “Mo” as a form of slander. And this is coming from a Harvard law school grad???

Best wishes, sounds like you and your family are on the very high IQ side…

Respecting IQ, my sister and brother have it in great measure. My sister is not only a great attorney but she is fluent in German (her major in college) and French. She has taught both of these languages.

My brother is a businessman and is quite sharp in the quantitative areas. For instance, he has professionally taught others how to take standardized tests like the SAT and GRE because he scores perfect marks in such tests. I do only OK in standardized tests because they bore me to death and my concentration lags as it does with crossword puzzles which, frankly, I am also bored by. My intelligence lies in other areas from my siblings though we kinda’ compliment each other. A la Rocky Balboa, we all have gaps and together we fill int he gaps.

Thanks too for your reply about Hungary. I mentioned this to my wife and she said she has long wanted to visit Budapest which is considered one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. And then there is that delicious Hungarian cuisine and wine but I digress.

I respectfully disagree. Harvard Medical School (HMS) is outstanding, and its physician-scientists have pioneered new concepts in diagnosis of treatment of many diseases.

HMS is also woke to social justice as an essential element of public health. A prominent past Dean of Students, a Jewish immigrant, often appended “Inshallah” to expressions of good will or after giving career advice, irrespective of the background or religious affiliation of the student. This was to symbolize the importance of diversity–and to highlight the importance of inclusion–to future physicians in a multicultural society.

Students at HMS pioneered the white-coat demonstration of “hands up/don’t shoot” as a woke peer symbol of racial healing and its relevance to intersectional public health.

One should not confuse HMS with the Harvard Club of Boston.

    • Roland says

      Feb 11, 2020 at 7:12 pm

Sheliak, as a Jew, this frustrates me no end. American Jews don’t want to hear the bad news about Islam. It challenges their liberalism, which, to be fair, has been a successful Jewish survival strategy in America and some other places until recent times. They don’t want to be pushed back into the ghetto. They think that Muslims, too, respond positively to American prosperity and equality. The major American Jewish organizations are funded and staffed by people who fervently believe in the applicability of their liberalism to all groups all the time. American Jews, except for recent Middle Eastern Jewish immigrants, have had little direct experience with Islam.

      • Wellington says

        Feb 11, 2020 at 8:09 pm

        Roland: Here is my take.

Every great people have a major flaw. Respecting the ancient Greeks, it was their love of war, which even baffled the Romans, very competent at war, who looked upon war as a cruel necessity.

With regard to the English, their most terrible flaw was their treatment of the Irish.

Regarding Americans, Winston Churchill, half-American himself (Jennie Jerome, an American heiress, was his mother), summed it up rather well and this from someone who had a deep admiration for America, to wit, the Americans will always end up doing the right thing after exploring every other possibility.

And referencing the Jews, without question a great people, their fatal flaw is their collective inability to realize that conservative values, though not perfect of course, still outdistance long-term all the time, and short-term most of the time, liberal values by a mile.

        • gravenimage says

          Feb 11, 2020 at 9:09 pm

Wellington, I think that another problem is this: Jewish people are especially sensitive to the idea of not being welcomed or of not considered a patriotic citizen of Gentile nations.

This is entirely understandable given their history. Unfortunately, many are not able to take the next step, and ask if some people *really are* apt to make poor citizens, from narco terrorists to ravening Muslims.

Danger, for Jews, exists as much at the far right as anywhere else. In fact the far right has been more threatening but the extremes meet and both are exceptionally anti-Semitic.

Saying something factual that reveals Islam sets off information overload ,set off the alarms to remove this woman who is Jewish from the room, a muslim must correct the record to save face. so no one will be infected with this question or statement and get curious and learn about the Palestinian delusion. Sharia prohibits things that offend , even if true. And besides it’s the money honey….ie endowments.

Rashid Khalidi is a Palestinian fascist from way back and big pal (pun intended) of Obama.

He also was in the Yale class of 1970 called Richard Kalidi then, and the video of his anti Semitic rant and praise from Obama was suppressed by the la times

    Hits and misses.

    A miss for Vanessa Levine.

Never, ever attend events at which you might be subjected to hateful violence without having another person there to record it, as needed..

PRCS, I doubt that this danger even occurred to Vanessa Levine–after all, isn’t Harvard civilized? So many would think…

As a Jew, she should have known, as the event’s title was:

“The Hundred Years’ War on Palestine”
        By Rashid Khalidi,

I’m surprised, really, that NO ONE (apparently) videoed it.

Well, PRCS, she was there to counter this vicious propaganda, and I admire that. But my guess is that even so, she assumed that people at a Harvard event, no matter their views, would conduct themselves in a civilized manner. I’m saddened but not surprised that she had to learn otherwise.

Vanessa, consider it a privilege to be cast out by such a bunch of self-centered, self-righteous, and empty headed bigots. I would say they have closed minds, but that assumes there are some brain cells in there.

I would recommend that you find a more civil and balanced group to join, one that recognizes how the US has promoted individuals and entrepreneurship. The US is not perfect, but it sure has most other places beat to pieces. My experience has been this: the countries that are run by the adherents of a certain faith tend to be run by certain families/clans/tribes or certain ethnic groups that do everything possible to stay in power and control the wealth. Any others are severely restricted, or even punished for attempting to pursue prosperity.

Mob-like fury pretty much defines the group and tells us its provenance. The next thing that will happen is that Facebook will remove her video testimony of the barbarity of the Muslim mob.

So this Harvard Club, was it previously known as the Henry Ford Society or shall it soon be known as such?

So you all believe this story with no question.
If this was reverse, you all would be quoting Hadith proving the Muslim is lying. Love your double standards.

By the way, great job on quoting Hadith! You all love it don’t you. It’s part of our plan for world domination. Next your children will be quoting Hadith. After that……

Yes, islam kills. But why not join the human race and see what you can contribute rather than seeing what you can destroy? Perhaps if you tried to act human things would be different (better). I won’t hold my breath.

This story was covered by the New York Post. The implication that it was just ginned up by Robert Spencer is of course utterly false.

Then, how is quoting Islam’s *own texts* and exposing what Islam has in store for us somehow mean that Anti-Jihadists want “world domination”? Of course, this makes no sense.

Seventy-five years ago, I imagine the mendaciously named “IslamKills” would be enraged if we dared to quote Mein Kampf or to translate the speeches of Hitler to show the dangers of Fascism.

Then again, Harvard Law School has big new fancy department of Islamic Legal Studies (I think funded by the bin Laden family prior to 9/11 but now from billionaire prince Awawleed bin Talal?) headed by professor Intisar Rabb. One of the undergraduate fellowship students was Anwar Omeish, daughter of Muslims American Society founder Libyan-born Dr. Esam Omeish who was on the board of the terrorist-friendly Dar-al-Hiraj mosque in Falls Church, VA who recruited al-Awalaki after 9/11. it was her older sister, Abrar, who protested the Buckley Foundation Dinner talks at Yale when Hirsi Ali Ayaan was to give a speech there and demanded one of their MSA mentors to be on stage at the same time to give play-by-play refutation of Hirsi’s speech.

The whole Omeish family needs to be exposed. The father had to step down from his appointed immigration post in the Virginia government (appointed by Kreepy Klown and Hillary running mate Gov. Kaine) for supporting jihad and Hamas.
