This sentence likely stems from the fact that the German government is so wholeheartedly and indefatigably committed to the migrant project that it is anxious to minimize any incident that reflects poorly on the migrants. In this case, that meant covering up what happened to Marcus Hempel, and denying his family justice. The future Germany has chosen for itself is clear, as it is all over Europe and in Britain as well.
“Germany: Syrian migrant sentenced to just 2 years’ probation for the murder of Marcus Hempel,” by Michael Lord, Voice of Europe, March 29, 2020:
Marcus Hempel, who was 30, died after being struck several times in the head by Sabri H., a Syrian asylum-seeker, on September 29, 2017 in Lutherstadt Wittenberg, Germany. On Thursday, Sabri was sentenced to just two years’ probation and 120 hours of community service for the crime.
The scuffle that led to Hempel’s death was recorded by a security camera, and the unedited video has been made available at the Junge Freiheit website.
Hempel and a female friend arrived by bicycle at the Arsenal shopping center just before 3 PM. There was a group of four boys, Sabri being one of them, near the entrance. As they were entering the mall, Hempel suddenly turned around and went back to confront the group, presumably because they had said something to him. After an exchange Sabri ended up shoving Hempel, and then Hempel hit Sabri. After that, Hempel’s friend tried to separate them. Sabri then grabbed the woman by the arm, and Hempel shoved Sabri to push him away from her, after which Sabri hit him four times in the head. Hempel can then be seen lying unconscious on the ground. Sabri and his friends quickly left the scene.
Hempel died of brain edema at the Dessau City Hospital that night at 11:37 PM.
It is believed that Sabri was only 17 at the time, and thus was tried in the juvenile chamber of the Magdeburg District Court. However, Karsten Hempel, Marcus’ father, pointed out that the court’s own report indicated that Sabri could have been anywhere between 13 and 27 at the time of the killing, but they never bothered to ask Interpol to confirm his age medically. Nor did the court ever attempt to determine if there was a motive for the killing or if Marcus and Sabri had known each other previously….
“This is no longer just about my only son,” Karsten Hempel told Junge Freiheit. “This is also about the legal system. What’s going on there? In my eyes, they are lying.”
In 2018, Karsten Hempel was called a “Nazi” for stating that his son had been killed by a migrant, as previously reported by Voice of Europe.
Political Oracle says
As I have stated in the comments on this blog, Religion should be defined as a psychological mechanism which is used to methodically exploit extraordinary ideological precepts in order to coerce, compel or self-modify behavior to the satisfaction of a practicing organization. Germany is a prime example of this. I hope this comment does not get deleted as it is a practice of freedom of speech for all to see and understand. This is not saying that religion is bad or good. As long as the elements of subversion and subjugation are not present in religion, then religion is good, otherwise it’s bad.
Beverly says
Well in reality, Islam is not a religion but a totalitarian theocracy designed to control the populace 24/7/365 from cradle to grave. Islam uses both law (Sharia) and religion (Muslim) as the hammers of justice. Women are second class citizens and children of both sexes are fair game for pedophiles. There is no love in Islam and you don’t get to count the love of killing and maiming the infidel. Islam is a poitical system way way worse than communism even dreams about.
Political Oracle says
I agree, but all religions have shortcomings, not just Islam. All religions play on the feeling and emotion centers of those that wish to follow and those that are forced to follow. For example, most Abrahamic religions refer to God as He/Him/His. This plays on the emotional centers of all followers of this type of religion. “Fear of God” is the desired result to the satisfaction of those practicing organizations. I personally believe that God is what God is, we are what we are, period, no more to argue, no fear of God. The UN wants you to accept Islam as a religion and also wants to cast you as a terrorist if you don’t. Now, tell me the real problem, knowing this fact.
David says
It is not so much the religions having short comings, but is the followers that are at fault. Islam is a different case, of course. It is clearly the worst religion in the World.
Savvy Kafir says
Islam definitely IS a religion. It’s ALSO a theocratic political & legal system, and an all-encompassing worldview that preaches hatred for non-Muslims, promotes a mandate to wage unending war on non-believers, and specifies which hand to wipe your butt with. Islam is a lot of things. But first & foremost, it is a religion. Its power derives mainly from a promise of a blissful afterlife for the faithful Muslim, and from the threat of hell-fire for everyone else. That makes it a religion. Devout Muslims pray to their monstrous god five times a day, in hopes of divine guidance and assistance. That makes it a religion.
BUT that does NOT mean that Islam cannot be singled out as a religion to be banned in the West — even in the U.S. with its First Amendment protections for religions. Islam is uniquely toxic, dangerous, and incompatible with civilized societies. Granting First Amendment protections to Muslims is a recipe for cultural suicide. Also, because Islam is a political & legal system, as well as a religion, First Amendment protections should not apply to it. The U.S. needs a new Constitutional Amendment banning Islam and calling for the expulsion of all Muslims. Other Western countries need to pass the same sort of law. Nothing short of that will save Western Civilization. All other “solutions” merely postpone the inevitable.
TimothyS says
Savvy, I agree that it’s a religion and a political system. As bill warner points out, the preponderance of their sacred texts pertain to the unbeliever. So it is inherently political.
Secularists have this quaint notion that religious belief is something that should be hidden, but politics should be imposed.
With the lying and the Jihad, I think Islam fits quite well into their worldview.
James Lincoln says
Savvy Kafir says,
“The U.S. needs a new Constitutional Amendment banning Islam and calling for the expulsion of all Muslims.”
I agree.
Nominal muslims that are already in the United States illegally could be given the option of cutting ALL ties to the terrorist teachings of islam – and become apostates.
And obviously, all mosques should be shut down – permanently.
gravenimage says
Yes, Islam is both a religion–an *evil* religion–and an all encompassing totalitarian system.
bernie says
Freedom of religion is not absolute, even in the United States. For example, if one is a neo-pagan who believes in human sacrifice (such as the ancient Druids, or the Aztecs before the Spanish conquest), then there are laws to prosecute that. Also, one may sincerely oppose abortion on demand, or homosexuality for religious reasons, but that doesn’t give one the right to murder abortion doctors or LGBT people, for instance.
gravenimage says
True, Bernie. In the same vein, Muslims do not have the right to slaughter Infidels or impose barbaric Shari’ah law.
Aussie Infidel says
Timothy S wrote, “With the lying and the Jihad, I think Islam fits quite well into their (secularists) worldview”.
Timothy, the lying (Taqiyya, kitman) “Islam is a religion of peace” etc propaganda sure has fooled a lot of westerners – secularists and religionists alike. As in any war, propaganda is a vital weapon. “The Prophet said, ‘War is deceit’.” (Bukhari 4:52:269). But you are wrong to tar all secularists with the same brush.
Many people believe that secularism means ‘atheism’, which is incorrect. Secular means ‘not pertaining to religion’; and secularism is a system of governance in which ‘religion is separate from the affairs of state’. The US and Australian Constitutions, forbid the government from making any laws to establish or favor any particular religion, or prevent anyone from practising their own religion. In other words, secularism provides freedom of religion. We live in pluralist secular societies which protect religious freedom rather than oppose it.
I’m a secularist (and an atheist), but I believe in freedom of religion – and all the other freedoms our Constitutions guarantee. And I certainly believe that religious belief should be a matter of personal choice, and not imposed in any way, including in schools – unless it is simply a study of religion as part of the curriculum – which I endorse. I also came from the Left (over 50 years ago), so I understand political indoctrination – and the havoc it has wrecked on human minds. I oppose Islam tooth and nail – not because of its religious content – but its criminal political tenets.
Islam is a totalitarian ideology which has no place in a secular society.
gravenimage says
Agreed, Aussie Infidel.
Aussie Infidel says
Savvy Kafir, You wrote “Granting First Amendment protections to Muslims is a recipe for cultural suicide”. How very true. Our Constitutions were drafted in a more innocent age, when Jefferson (and his Aussie counterparts) understood very little about the totalitarian concepts of Islam. Any religion which commands its followers to hate (Quran 5:51, 35:39, 40:10), and murder (2:191, 4:74, 9:5, 48:29, etc) unbelievers, is a criminal ideology and a threat to the security of every democratic country. Islam should be banned, all mosques closed, and Muslims given the opportunity to abandon their religion, or be deported. But unfortunately, most of our politically correct leaders have neither the knowledge nor the guts to confront the mullahs and their murderous ideology.
gravenimage says
Actually, Aussie Infidel, the American founders–especially Thomas Jefferson and John Adams–knew a great deal about Islam due to the Barbary pirates, who began attacking us as soon as we won our independence from England, since we were no longer covered by their paid tribute.
The idea that the First Amendment allows people to rape, enslave, and murder in the name of their religions is *quite* mistaken.
In case where our laws are not enforced vis-a-vis Islam, this has more to do with “political correctness” and denial, just as in the rest of the West, than it does with the First Amendment.
Lilith Wept says
I very much want to see Islam banned in the US,….but precisely because of our history ( fleeing religious persecution) , and our enshrined in law tolerance and legal protection of all religions, ….and the Amendment that says no law can be passed prohibiting the free practice of any religion , that means IMO, that Islam can not and will not be banned.
It’s not just the moslems that would fight any attempt to ban Islam its the Liberal Leftists, the Islamic sympathizers that would fight just as hard as the Moslems would.
I would appreciate any thoughts on how Islam might be eliminated from our country, how practically we can eliminate Islam.
If the horrific acts of terrorism committed by Islam both in the US , and outside the US, to US citizens plus seeing the atrocities of ISIS streamed on video don’t convince the American people to pressure their goverment to ban Islam ….then honestly, I don’t know if anything would cause America to ban Islam .
We just keep right on accepting ever increasing levels of Islamic violence and terrorism ….and unless we find some way to stop the Islamic Terrorism and violence , at least in America, we will continue to do so until it will eventually become commonplace and accepted. It’s desensitization …we are becoming desensitized to Islamic violence.
We also are accepting ever increasing levels of Islamic influence…..
halal slaughter and halal meats and forcing their consumption on non moslems (as well as moslems) .
.Islamic holidays being recognized as equal to our own holidays, moslems suing you be able to wear Islamic clothing ( even when it’s unsafe) and getting separate prayer spaces and washing facilities…
No public criticism of Islamic allowed. No images of Mohammed allowed. No public criticism of Mohammed allowed.
Moslems praying in large numbers in public even if it blocks public roads & sidewalks, goverment buildings and private businesses.
Allowing the Adan to be broadcast on loudspeaker ( despite protests and noise pollution)
Allowing mosques to be built basically anywhere moslems want ( despite zoning & parking conflicts and protests by locals)
Parades and events where known terrorists and terrorist organizations are praised and their emblems displayed.
The establishment of Moslem zones, where only moslems live and it’s dangerous for non moslems of any kind even police, to enter. .
Allowing Islamic organizations to continue to exist that have ties to known terrorists and terrorist organizations, that accept funding to spread Islamic influence like Wahhabism.
Allowing Islamic countries that support Wahhabism to endow and find colleges with entire departments , complete with Islamic teachers and instructional materials …all, supporting the kind of islam Muhammed practiced.
The establishment of terrorism training camps within the US .
Not investigating or searching mosques for Jihadi or materials that support violence towards non moslems….or to see if they contain any kinds of Jihadi weapons.
All,this appeasement and pandering to Islam and moslems is just telling moslems how weak we are…..and as Moslem see this continuing weakness, they redouble their efforts to Islamify our countries, saying with some justifications … “ Look how weak the West is, their ideals aren’t worth anything, they won’t fight for them , for their culture, their women , their countries, their freedoms and rights so it’s Islam’s duty to destroy them and replace them with something strong like Islam….Moslems show their strength by fighting for Islam, for Allah , for Mohammed”
Of course I believe the problem is The Great Lie….that we continue to buy into the Islamic propaganda that ….Islam means Peace….. …….that islam is a peaceful ideology and it’s only a few extremists, just a very few misguided moslems ( not really worthy of the name of Moslem really!) that have hijacked, or misunderstood , or taken a few verses out of context, that are the source of the violence And terrorism in Islam .
What an utter crock!
We need to acknowledge that “ Islam is the problem”. The CORE, MAINSTREAM DOCTRINE of Islam itself. That doctrine that is contained in the Koran and Hadiths .
Not any of the bullsh*t excuses like poverty, unemployment, lack of inclusion, or that it’s just a few moslems who have hijacked what is basically a peaceful, ideology. To continue to say , and believe , that it’s “ Islamic extremism” is to say that once we figure out a way to find and stop those “few extremists , who have hijacked Islam , then everything will be just fine. We will have eliminated the problem of violence and terrorism as related to Islam , and we will be able to live equally and peacefully with Islam …..happily every after.
We need to acknowledge that Islam is the problem .
Islam is inherently violent. Islam teaches violence and killing of all non moslems. Islam is extremely expansionist . It has NEVER in 1600 years been able to,live peacefully and equally with any other religion. It always strives to become at first dominate then exclusive.
Islam has an “Us moslems” against “ you kaffir” doctrine.
Mohammed himself declared war on every one and everything with Dar al Islam verses Dar all Harb, from the moment he spoke the words until the end of time , ( or until, the entire world is made Islam , whichever comes first!,)
And that there is NO POSSIBILITY of reforming Islam , making it peaceful or non violent.
It doesn’t matter one bit what we think about Islam,What we believe about Islam or what we say about Islam Atvthe end of the day what matters is what MOSLEMS think, believe , say and DO about Islam that matter …..
They believe that the Koran is the perfect unchanging , unchangable word of their god, they believe that Mohammed was a prophet sent by god, and the most perfect example of a Moslem man , who’s behaviors should be copied. They believe their god and Mohammed COMMAND them to wage jihad on us until,we give up and submit to Islam ( or the end of time , who ever comes first)
And they will keep right on waging that jihad ( both the violent kind and the insidious Civilization Jihad that’s slowly Islamifying the US) and the Hijra kind of migration jihad that transforming Europ into Euroarabia ……until they are stopped…..because they aren’t going to stop on their own…..
To quote Gabrielle Bridgette THEY MUST BE STOPPED………
BECAUSE THEY HATE.
That’s what we should be focusing all,of our energies on….
Sorry this is so long, it should have been an article, not a comment I guess.
Kepha says
Subversion and subjugation are present in virtually all political systems–including democracy, in which people vote away their own liberties while they vote their neighbors’ wealth into their own pockets. Religion is something like gravity. You may disparage it, and deny that it represents anything real, but you’ll still run up against it and have it; for you will always worship something, Maybe the pschological mechanism reflects something that we really and truly are at the deepest levels of our being? Even if it’s just self, money, or the bully who’s bigger than you are.
I’ll stick with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
mortimer says
PO, you are describing political ideology, not religion. Islam calls itself a ‘deen’ … a complete system combining sociology, culture, politics and religion in one seamless marriage. Islam doesn’t separate the church from the state the way we do. To do so is alien.
Please educate yourself on the word ‘DIN’ (or deen) or you will never gain a deep understanding of Islam’s dualistic religio-political reality.
Rarely says
The Christian religion, of course, was a “complete system combining sociology, culture, politics and religion in one seamless marriage” until quite recently. The separation of church and state in western democracies is relatively recent. The best that can be said of islam is that it is about 4-500 years behind in that regard but with no improvement visible in the foreseeable future. Islam seems to view that separation as a weakness and not an advancement. More is the pity.
TimothyS says
Rarely,
Christianity took many forms politically and is not a complete explicit description of how the political system should be run. Mohammed, to the contrary, make it quite explicit that this is exactly what he envisaged.
And the subsequently invented body of holy texts bear this out. Very explicitly.
eduardo odraude says
Rarely,
That is not accurate. Because of statements and actions attributed to the central figure of the New Testament, Christians from the very beginning have never been able to completely forget that there is to be some sort of division between “the realm of Caesar” and the religious realm. During the course of Christian history, sometimes popes have dominated kings, sometimes kings have dominated popes, but there always remained at least a latent sense that there were supposed to be two realms. People were less than clear about where the boundary should lie, but they for the most part accepted that there were to be two realms on earth. JC is supposed to have said, “Give to Caesar the things that are Caesar’s, to God the things that are God’s,” and also “My kingdom is not of this world.” Furthermore, JC reportedly explained to Pontius Pilate why the disciples did not fight to defend Jesus and why JC was surrendering to Pilate, because, “my kingdom is not of this world.” That and a number of other statements in the Bible have been among various powerful historical forces that eventually led to the First Amendment of the US Constitution, where the distinction between the two realms is clarified and codified. By contrast, Muhammad became Caesar, or at any rate the ruler of a totalitarian expansionist state. Muslims’ prime exemplar recognized no distinction between religion and state. That is a huge difference.
Even if we suppose that all religions are pure tissues of fantasy, they have very different social outcomes depending on the ideas that motivate them. It really makes a difference that the Jewish and Christian Bible says human beings are made in the image and likeness of God, whereas the Qur’an insists that “nothing is like Allah.” Christians and Jews as images of God believed they had a certain warrant to imitate God’s creativity, whereas in Islam, to create is, as Daniel Boorstin pointed out, “a rash and dangerous act.” It really makes a difference that the Judeo-Christian conception treats human beings as children of God the Father, whereas the Qur’an explicitly denies that Allah is a father or that human beings are anything more than Allah’s servants or slaves. There are many other huge paradigm differences that have huge differences in social outcome. These differences are the main reason why the Muslim-majority world today is authoritarian and totalitarian, whereas liberal democracies predominate in the Judeo-Christian world.

Soon the real Germans will take the law into their own hands when they see their govt failing them. The Germans have hollowed out their military and stopped taking draftee in 2011. Bev, I am sorry to say that Hitler wasted an entire generation of young men and women that should have been able to lead Germany out of the great depression, back into the world economy, and a leadership role in Europe. Unfortunately, Hitler and his supporters tried to replay WW1, destroyed his country, destroyed many of his neighbors, and destroyed many productive people. The loss of that generation has had many downstream effects. The current defenseless Europe is just one of them. We can throw Mussolini and Stalin into that same dung heap as Hitler based upon their accomplishments.
In other words, if Germans want to save Germany, that movement needed to start about 5 years ago.

We are weaklings before their evil scripture, all because we have no faith in our own religion. They tell us their religion came from ABRAHAM. BUT, God is not a scatterbrained idiot! He doesn’t say one thing, then turn around and completely refute Himself.
The bandits made the simple religion a manifesto of hate and villany, making the cult very appealing to the monstrous fools of the mad deserts/jungles whose animalistic lives were never nothing more than robbery, rape, murder, and slavery.
We have to stand up. We have to measure every evil against society with the same yardstick. Otherwise mayhem will result – and we’re almost there now. Look out, Europe. Teach them The Law before all descends into anarchy, and we become like them, not they become like us. Soon we will all run house to house with machine guns, like Mosul, like Islam.
rubiconcrest says
All countries have many areas that are unsafe, places you better not go after dark. The Muslim migrants in Europe are different because are entitled. They are the state sanctioned untouchable Islam empowered criminal gangsters who roam freely in the daylight. The only way to protect yourself is to be armed or travel in large groups and yes eventually personal protection is the only answer for the individuals who wish to keep their liberty.
eduardo odraude says
Furthermore, whether they know it clearly or not — and many of them do know it — they are part of a powerful totalitarian movement that comes with ready-made highly elaborate plans for setting up a state with laws suitable to Allah. So they feel entitled, because they think they are better than non-Muslims and imagine themselves to be doing God’s work, and often have no doubt of it.
