What are the chances that these migrants will become loyal, productive members of German society? Right, about nil. What are the chances that they will be sent back? Right, about nil.

They want to burn the asylum home, shake the gate, throw bottles at police officers and show the IS flag! One could almost think that these scenes come from Greece or from detention centers in Italy. But we are in the middle of Germany – more precisely, in Suhl in Thuringia.
It all started with a confirmed diagnosis of corona in an initial reception facility in southern Thuringia: the illegally entered migrant is said to have recently come to Germany via Sweden. Because of this, a quarantine was ordered for the 533 residents, and the home was temporarily sealed off.
However, the measure, which no longer appears unusual in the days of corona, apparently drove the asylum seekers into a frenzy: some began to riot, and prevented inmates from entering the dining room in order to force a hunger strike. They are said to have tried to leave the facility through the sewage system to reach the nearby town.
But not only that: a group of asylum seekers even threatened to set fire to the home and showed the flag of the terrorist organization Islamic State! “Today, around 11:40 a.m., about 30 people, as I said, mainly young men, from the nationalities especially citizens from Georgia and the Maghreb countries, who displayed an IS flag, gathered in front of the main gate and tried to breach the gate, and displayed a very aggressive mood,” said police spokesman Wolfgang Nicolai. “In particular, children were posted in the front row”.
To calm the situation, up to 50 police officers were deployed to monitor the facility. Police trainees were also involved.
In view of the conditions currently prevailing in the Suhl initial reception facility, the question arises as to what happens if similar incidents occur in other so-called refugee homes. The risk that corona will break out in other accommodations is omnipresent, so further restrictions on public life can be expected. It is hard to imagine that the security forces and medical personnel have sufficient capacities to keep angry illegal immigrants at bay who do not want to follow the protective measures against the spread of COVID-19.
How brutal they sometimes become when they don’t get their way can be seen on the Greek-Turkish border. And in Italy, prison revolts, particularly by immigrants from the Maghreb countries, have resulted in several deaths.
