Turkey’s Islamic supremacist President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has been transparent in his goals. Aside from routinely accusing Europe of “Islamophobia,” he has stated that the European Union (EU) is in a “process of dissolution,” and that “one or two countries cannot keep the EU alive…. You need a country like Turkey, a different country symbolizing a different faith, this would make them very strong.” Erdogan’s vision has long been the Islamization of the EU, and he has made no secret of it. He has also warned of a coming war between the cross and the crescent.
Erdogan announced last week “that all migrants would be free to pass through the country into Europe, despite the European Union, including the UK, pouring billions of dollars into Turkish coffers in return for keeping migration at bay.” It is now up to Europe to protect its borders from a jihad by immigration. Right now, Greece is holding the line. The country has “conducted a military drill with live ammunition along the Turkish border, as waves of migrants attempt to cross the border after President Erdogan’s decision to ‘open the gates’ for migrants to cross into Europe.”
Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis has referred to Turkey as “an official migrant trafficker” and has accused Turkey of exploiting Greece for its own political agenda. But a pleasant development is that now, the globalist EU — which once forced member states to accept outrageous migrant quotas and celebrated the migrant surge as a welcome replacement for declining populations in the EU — is now shifting its position:
European Union member states have said the bloc “strongly rejects” what it sees as Turkey’s use of migrants for political goals. In a statement agreed by ministers at a meeting in Brussels, the 27 states said the “situation at the EU’s external borders is not acceptable.”
“Migrant Crisis 2.0: Greek Army Conducts Live Ammunition Drills on Turkish Border,” by Kurt Zindulka, Breitbart, March 4, 2020:
Greece conducted a military drill with live ammunition along the Turkish border, as waves of migrants attempt to cross the border after President Erdogan’s decision to ‘open the gates’ for migrants to cross into Europe.
Ahead of a visit from European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, the Fourth Army Corps of Greece announced it would conduct a military drill, using machine guns, rifles, and pistols at border posts in the Evros land border with Turkey. During the drill, the army enacted a 24-hour ban on movement of people, vehicles, and livestock in the area.
In the northern border region of Greece, the military sent an automated text to mobile phones on Sunday, warning people to not attempt to enter the area, according to Greek newspaper Kathimerini.
After touring the border region today with European Commission President von der Leyen, European Council President Charles Michel, and David Sassoli, the President of the European Parliament, Greek Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis said that his country will not be “blackmailed” by Turkey over the migrant issue.
“This is no longer a refugee problem. This is a blatant attempt by Turkey to use desperate people to promote its geopolitical agenda and to divert attention from the horrible situation in Syria,” Mitsotakis said.
The leader of the European Commission declared “European solidarity with Greece” over the migrant crisis, saying that “Greek concerns are our own concerns, the Greek borders are European borders.”
“The situation at our borders is not an issue that Greece has to deal with on its own, it is Europe’s responsibility and we will manage the problem with order, unity, solidarity, and determination,” von der Leyen said.
The Greek leader noted that mass migration from Turkey is an “asymmetrical threat”, meaning that not all EU member states face the negative impacts of the crisis.
“The EU has not been up to the task of dealing with the migration crisis. I hope this crisis will serve as a wake-up call for everyone,” Mitsotakis said.
Von der Leyen’s talk of “solidarity” recalls the fallout of German Chancellor Angela Merkel throwing open the borders of Europe in August 2015 in the first migrant crisis, with the German premiere demanding that all other EU member states take their ‘fair share’ to lessen the burden on Greece and Italy. However, the Brussels-backed migrant quotas sparked a populist backlash throughout the EU, particularly in Hungary, where 95 per cent of Hungarians voted to reject the bloc’s redistribution scheme…..

Today Erdogan sends 1000 armed police units to the Greek border to prevent the greeks from stopping and/or returning the hjrah invaders.
This will NOT end well.
NATO should be helping Greece with all it has at its disposal, but the US i backing Turkey in Syria and thus NATO must too.
I believe we most likely have just started the very beginning of World War III

“Today Erdogan sends 1000 armed police units to the Greek border to prevent the greeks from stopping and/or returning the hjrah invaders.”
Their role is also “rear action” behind the waves, to prevent the so-called refugees from turning back. This was exactly the role of the NKVD during WWII which Russia calls the Great Patriotic War.
“During World War II, NKVD Internal Troops units were used for rear area security, including preventing the retreat of Soviet Union army divisions. Though mainly intended for internal security, NKVD divisions were sometimes used at the front to stem the occurrence of desertion through Stalin’s Order No. 270 and Order No. 227 decrees in 1941 and 1942, which aimed to raise troop morale via brutality and coercion.”

The Ottoman Army historically used the same tactic. There were janissaries and other elite palace troops officers behind the lines cracking whips who prevented undisciplined front line troops from retreating by mercilessly whipping any retreating bashibazuk to force him to march forward and return to the battle. Erdogan is just taking pages out of the Ottoman playbook. He is very well versed in ottoman history and it shows a lot even in his speeches.

This is definitely an invasion of Greece and all of Europe by the Turks using migrants as a surrogate army. Erdogan is hoping that those migrants already in Europe will join in the battle once the actual fighting begins. It has been his goal from the start and most of the European leaders were not smart enough to understand it.

After all the EU hectoring of how Israel was using “excessive force” in its handling of the Hamas controlled violent “March of Return” whose goal was to breach the Gaza border, it will be interesting to see how restrained the EU will be should the border with Greece or Bulgaria be breached and masses of refugees try to swarm across. Will they keep them at bay through verbal warnings alone or will they use force – and come up with some reason why their actions are justified but whatever Israel does can never be.

Greece might want to consider using that border area as “pasture land” for certain four legged creatures that can be smelled miles away. They would not need to worry about “poaching”. 🙂

Send in the pigs…and hogs too. Even the army from turkey would not wish to stick around.
Just Venting says
A friend of mine was from Texas, and he would tell me about the feral hogs that run loose there. Very large, very mean, very aggressive. Maybe we could donate a few hundred. They are also prolific breeders, would not take long to become thousands. However, I do not think anyone would want to use that ship or plane ever again.
somehistory says
I lived in Texas for about 20 years and saw many photos and film of the Javelinas. heard much from people who had encountered them, but never saw one up close and personal.
In Florida, anyone learning the history of my home state, finds that wild hogs have been roaming the areas thick with palmetto ever since their ancestors were brought over on ships to feed the sailors. The offspring were just left to fend for themselves when the Spanish left.
One place I lived, there was a whole large area of palmetto, palm and pine without any humans living too close to me, and just about every day, I could hear the wild boars grunting and snuffling through the thick growth. Their teeth are awful and they are not the least bit afraid of humans. There are thousands of these hogs throughout the State.
Perhaps some “hunters” would like to round up a few hundred of them. Or maybe some of the pythons now living and breeding in the Everglades and eating even the alligators. If any flights are going to Greece, what with the virus being everywhere…

With the chaos of advancing illegal migrants into Greek territory the Turks are hoping to create a conflict which will allow their armed forces to invade Greece and Cyprus. The turks are hoping the EU and the US will remain neutral while they decimate the Greek military and take more Western territory.
The vile Turks did this in 1974 when they invaded Cyprus and annexed over 40% of the island nation.
GreekEmpress says
Those are my concerns too, Avenger.
EU’s talk of “solidarity” with Greece has been just that so far—talk. Talk much and do nothing—secret of their non-success.
katherine says
To wake up the EU and defend itself Greece should have started full mobilization already – what are they waiting for? If Turkey strikes now NATO would be simply wringing its hands while Greece itself will be completely unprepared for a military invasion.
Create a buffer zone now and start shooting : this is obviously a military-backed trespass prior to an invasion – buy some time for intervention at least.
If NATO cannot even name its internal enemy they are already defunct – somebody needs to help Greece ( and Cyprus obviously ).
SAFI says
While no ones paying attention Cyprus is pretty much facing the exact same agression by the Ankara regime. Turkey is dailyshipping boatloads of migrants from all over Africa and Asia to militarily occupied northern Cyprus and telling them to cross into the “dead zone” and then into the free areas of the Republic of Cyprus(EU). Cyprus is doing it’s doing its best to ramp up security on its de facto border but the the EU has so far been entirely indifferent to the turkish orchestrated demographic agression and islamic colinization of the island.

GI,… the European Union is as utterly incompetent now as it was during the Balkan wars in the 1990’s. They are also a Leftisit elite who care not one jot if a Muslim invasion happens, as this will flood Europe with even more unskilled slaves for their billionaire pay masters to use across Europe.

Full support to Greece. One thing EU citizens could do this summer is to boycott Turkey as a tourist destination. This could lead to Turkeys economy crashing, civil unrest and, with look the end of this fascist/Islamist dictator.
