The mosque must not be closed. The prayers must go on. Coronavirus? Allah will protect them from that. This is the same kind of fanaticism that fuels jihad activity.

If so many Muslim clergy are against quarantine, we must logically conclude that Islam’s leaders believe Islam is incompatible with modern VIROLOGICAL SCIENCE.
With so much evidence that Islam is incompatible with modernity, why do Muslims not leave it?
This a HEALTH AND SAFETY matter for Muslims as much as their neighbors.
OTTER says
Mortimer,
The question why do Muslims not leave Islam can only be understood if we see Islam as a virus. Once inside, the person changes irrevocably. I have been calling for a full study why Islam has been so successful and unless we a dispassionate analysis of that, including seeing the subjective factors from a Muslim’s point of view, what makes them stick inside, we will get nowhere. In fact, we are getting nowhere in containing Islam as it is growing in numbers and normative acceptance.
I think the weak spot of Islam is their women who have to be targeted with focused messages on how constrained they are and asking them whether they would like their daughters to be had by their prophet. Yes, specifically ask Muslim women: Would you be fine if Prophet Mo miraculously reappeared alive and wanted to marry your daughter if she was 9 years old.
Target Muslim women and we may be able to win. May be.
keith says
Mortimer, you make some good points, I would ask that you have a side by side look at cults and Islam.
The use of superstition and mind control in both are enlightening. There is a very fine line between religion and a cult, and I reckon Mo was the original cult leader.

India government has made a big mistake. They should let all Muslim to have their mass gathering at Mosque. Corona virus is nothing as Allah will protect real Muslim from all diseases. This is the right time to give Muslim what they wish for.

India: Muslims, including an imam, pelt police team with stones for trying to seal a mosque
………………….
How many times have we see this sort of thing from Muslims now?
If haven’t seen people of other faiths attack authorities, even in cases where they disagree with the closure.
Dude says
Karma. This virus in humans was caused by and therefore aimed at the flesh-eaters. Did you really think you could get away with viciously tearing innocent animals apart like wolves, without eventually paying the price? Pay up, hoomans, you pathetic animals.
gravenimage says
Wait–you think that non-Muslims deserve to be raped, enslaved, and mass slaughtered because they eat meat?
Muslims have *hardly* exempted vegetarians–they target all Infidels. And very few Muslims are themselves vegetarian–this is a meat-eating creed. In fact, Islam is grossly abusive towards animals. The implication that they are some sort of avengers makes *no* sense.
And I am an ethical vegan myself. The idea that this means that I want to see humans brutalized and mass murdered is *not* something I or most vegetarians believe in. I’d rather share an Impossible burger with my neighbors.
The Coronavirus does not spare vegetarians, either.
Dude says
Puzzling. I guess the peaceful veggies should be protecting the innocent creatures from the wolves. In ancient India this was the case, it was the law, but I guess the violent selfish flesh-eating monsters have become unmanageable after the invasion.
gravenimage says
There is a strong tradition of vegetarianism in both Hinduism and Buddhism, but there was never a time when all of India was vegetarian, or where being non-vegetarian was criminalized, whatever you believe.
I don’t think that wanting to see your fellow humans either die in a terrible epidemic or at the hands of ravening Muslims helps animals.
I love both animals *and* my fellow humans.
You may, of course, disagree. Ugly stuff, though.
Dude says
“…. there was never a time when all of India was vegetarian, or where being non-vegetarian was criminalized, whatever you believe.”
I don’t expect you are that old. However, India, that is, even today officially Bharata, long ago was ruled by Emperor Maharaja Bharata. Scripture reveals that no animal feared harm from anyone in Bharata in these ancient times. It was a time of spiritual elevation, a way of life that would find ALL violence abhorrent.
gravenimage says
Emperor Maharaja Bharata is legendary. There is no indication that he was a historical figure at all.
Besides, the Mahabharata presents him as performing “hundred horse sacrifices” and “thousand horse sacrifices”–this *hardly* makes him some sort of universal protector of animals.
Dude says
How difficult could it possibly be to understand? We should just be able to read the shit, then God has to reveal His truth. Good luck with that, dude.
