“Indonesian police said on Wednesday they would not bring murder charges against suspects accused of killing a transgender woman by dousing her with petrol and setting her on fire.” This despite the fact that six people were suspected of “unintentionally” burning her to death. The rage and violence against this person was likely rooted in Islamic zeal.
Usman Hamid, the Indonesian representative of Amnesty International, told Reuters it seemed too early for the police to conclude that there was no intent to set the woman on fire.
This is the atmosphere in Indonesia, according to the New York Times:
“In Indonesia, Salafi ideology has penetrated urban and rural, civil servants and villagers,” said Din Wahid, a theologian at Syarif Hidayatullah State Islamic University. “They see corruption all around them and say that it is only Shariah and restoring a caliphate that will be able to fix society.”
And Saudi Arabia, where Extremism Is Riyadh’s Top Export, has influenced the rise of Salafi ideology in Indonesia, to the extent that the country is abandoning its former “moderate” reputation. Hijra movements and “born again” Muslim movements are driving social change and the “highly conservative head of the Indonesian Ulama Council,” Ma’ruf Ami, is also said to wield “unprecedented influence” in the country.
“Indonesia police will not bring murder charges in case of transgender woman burned to death,” Reuters, April 8, 2020:
JAKARTA (Reuters) – Indonesian police said on Wednesday they would not bring murder charges against suspects accused of killing a transgender woman by dousing her with petrol and setting her on fire.
The 43-year-old died on Sunday from burns sustained in the incident a day earlier. Her death was reported by Indonesian media on Tuesday.
Police said on Wednesday they believed the suspects who set the fire had not burned her intentionally. They identified six suspects, three of whom had been arrested.
Budhi Herdi Susianto, the North Jakarta police chief, said the suspects had accused the woman of stealing and doused her with petrol. One of the suspects had lit a match, but did not intend to burn her, the police chief said.
The suspects could be charged with physical violence, carrying a maximum sentence of 12 years.
Usman Hamid, the Indonesian representative of Amnesty International, told Reuters it seemed too early for the police to conclude that there was no intent to set the woman on fire.
“The police need take investigative actions that are impartial and independent. They can’t seem like the perpetrators’ lawyers,” he said.
Andreas Harsono, a researcher with Human Rights Watch, said the incident was indicative of a rise in hostility and vilification of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community.
“Her death should be a reminder to many Indonesians that transgender women deserve justice and equal rights,” he said.
“Thousands of transgender women, gay men or lesbian women have been humiliated in Indonesia these past few years.”
Homosexuality is not regulated by law in Indonesia, except in Aceh province where same-sex relations are banned under sharia law. But growing social and religious conservatism has driven escalating vitriol toward sexual minorities in the world’s most populous Muslim-majority country….

There has NEVER been, and never will be a “Transgender” man or woman.
Many people have gone to great lengths to “resemble“ members of the opposite gender from which they were born, but never once has a male transitioned into a female, or vise-versa.
Even the most convincing amongst them, who through surgeries or hormone treatment can easily deceive our eyes and ears, should at best never be considered to be more than “impersonators”.
The existence of Bigfoot is more likely to be scientifically proven than an example of a Transgender human.
Truth Matters!

Yes, exactly!
I’m all for freedom and rights, but there are times when the line must be drawn. Allowing someone to identify as someone/thing they’re not, and catering and pandering to their delusions (including unnecessary surgeries and hormone treatments), is definitely one of them.

Purely from a medical/scientific view, that is a correct statement.
Surgery, hormones, etc., can change outward appearance but the genetics that you were born with never change.
That being said, I have personally treated a fair number of “transgender” (after the fact ) patients for routine / or urgent medical care that had nothing to do with their stated “transgender” status.
I afforded them the same level of dignity and respect that I have always given to my non-“transgender” patients.
This does not mean that I agreed with their decision to undergo “transgender” medical/surgical treatment – but my personal feelings would not enter into the medical visit.
I would address them by their stated first name, leaving out the pronoun…

Yes. Was this a woman dressed as a man, or a man dressed as a woman? I get so confused when they say a “transgendered man in a dress named Bunny or a transgender woman in a suit named Larry”.

No one says this.

You got that right. It’s like this crap about 56 genders, no, there are 2 genders and 54 new mental disorders.
Having said that, no one has the god given right to pour petrol on another living human and turn them into a dead human.

So the take away from this story for some is to emphasize that transgendered people don’t exist?
This is fine.
But do you have a problem with Muslims *burning this victim to death*, whether you approve of their lifestyle or not? Not so you say…
And if any of you think that Muslims are going to stop at murdering people who consider themselves transgendered, you are *gravely* mistaken.
Giacomo Latta says
When university professors run out of ways to help disadvantaged people, they must then invent disadvantaged people. First on the list has apparently been the transgendered or those desiring to be so. In Western societies this is known as a waste of time, money and human effort.
As for the transgendered woman in Indonesia, she/heshe/heit/sheit/itshe (sorry, I’m not up-to-date on the latest pronouns) had the right to live as do all of our mental defectives.
I long for the days when the government and others had no business in the bedrooms and the underpants of the nation. Now if I don’t guess the right pronoun to use in the presence of a transgendered individual he she or whatever has the right to beat the crap out of me.

The only reason they dumped fuel on this person was to set the conditions for a fire. “Unintentional”, is just another of the lies that adherents learn to fabricate so early in their lives.
Whoever poured the gas and whoever lit the match should be prosecuted for murder, yet will escape justice. When will LBGBQTs in the West wake up to what Islam plans for them?

There *are* a few in the gay community who are Anti-Jihadists, like Andrew Bostom and my late friend Marc Samberg–but all too many are in denial that Islam is a threat.

People with mental defects / disorders, whether they are Homosexual, or have Gender Dysphoria, should be viewed and treated by society no differently than those with Anorexia, and not mistreated and certainly never killed.
I do believe however, if society were to give Anorexia the same endorsement and pop-culture celebration we currently do for Transgenderism and Homosexuality we would see a sharp increase in health issues and deaths attributed to Anorexia.

Indonesia: Police won’t bring murder charges in case of transgender woman burned to death
Police said on Wednesday they believed the suspects who set the fire had not burned her intentionally…
……………………
The *poor victim*.. What a miscarriage of justice–as though the perps accidentally doused her with petrol, and then accidentally lit a match.
Obvious where the sympathies of the police lie–with the vicious murderers. So much for Indonesia being a “moderate” Muslim country…
James Lincoln says
Rightly so, gravenimage.
muslim police will twist reality to suit their islamic religious/ideology. It’s even happening, to a somewhat lesser extent, in the UK.
By the way, has any Jihad Watch reader “accidentally” lit a match, when lighting say, a barbecue?
gravenimage says
Exactly, James.
UNCLE VLADDI says
Weird, since Indonesia has always had a tradition of girlie-men being totally accepted in their culture. You know, for millennia, and at least before the hard-line jihadis came to the fore and took over government.
