Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Islamic scholar, invoking Qur’an, says Muslims should rejoice when unbelievers “died because of the coronavirus”

Apr 6, 2020 12:00 pm By Robert Spencer

“He then cites the Quranic verse ‘If you meet them in a battle, cause their example to scatter those behind them, so that they remember.’ He adds: ‘If Allah allowed Muslims to fight the infidels, it is then self-evident that Allah will allow them to rejoice over [the infidels’] diminishment.'”

That’s Qur’an 8:57.

“Citing another Quranic verse, ‘He is the one Who created you, and among you is a disbeliever, and among you is a believer,’ Al-Maqdisi adds that it is not possible for Muslims to provide such guidance because doing so would contradict the wisdom of Allah.”

That’s Qur’an 64:2.

Will one of the well-heeled professional “moderate Muslims,” grown fat and laden with honors for telling people what they want to hear and dearly wish were true, explain how al-Maqdisi is getting the Qur’an all wrong, and misunderstanding his peaceful religion? No? Now, why is that?

“Salafi Jihadi Ideologue Abu Muhammad Al-Maqdisi: Muslims Should Rejoice At Infidels’ Deaths From Coronavirus,” MEMRI, April 3, 2020:

On March 31, 2020, Salafi-jihadi ideologue Abu Muhammad Al-Maqdisi shared a post on his Al-Tawhid Awalan channel on Telegram stating: “There is nothing wrong with a Muslim praying for the deaths of infidels and wishing that they contract coronavirus or any similar fatal disease.”[1] The post included an image from a news report on Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s self-quarantine after one of his top aides was diagnosed with coronavirus.

The post appears also to be in response to a “Muslim doctor’s” suggestion that the death of any person, Muslim or not, is a loss for the mankind because person might someday become a believer.

It should be noted that Jordanian Salafi preacher and pharmacist Eyad Qunaibi shared a YouTube video on March 23, 2020 expressing the same argument, warning Muslims not rejoice at the deaths of unbelievers who might die of the virus and noting that Islam values every human being and Muslims should seek to save people’s lives and, later, seek to guide them to Islam.[2]

In his lengthy Telegram post, Al-Maqdisi disputes Qunaibi’s argument, claiming that even though there is wisdom in the creation of everything in this universe including infidels, their deaths can be celebrated. He wrote:

“Allah had a certain wisdom when he created infidels, the same as when he created animals, insects, and everything else. Yet this should not be a reason for us to think, or for leading people to think, that because Allah had a wisdom of creating infidels… we should not rejoice their disappearance, if they were killed or crushed or died because of the coronavirus.”

Condemning views that urge Muslims not to gloat over infidels’ grief or loss, he goes on to say: “Denying [Muslims] their wish to see others [i.e. infidels] perish or be destroyed… is a view that lacks knowledge,” he says.

He then cites the Quranic verse “If you meet them in a battle, cause their example to scatter those behind them, so that they remember.” He adds: “If Allah allowed Muslims to fight the infidels, it is then self-evident that Allah will allow them to rejoice over [the infidels’] diminishment.”[3]

Al-Maqdisi disputes those who think that every individual can become a believer if Muslims show them kindness or who believe that it is allowed to pray for and guide every human being. This kind of argument is “too kind and absurd,” he says, adding that it is “unreasonable to wish divine guidance upon the whole of humanity, and to assign us [the Muslims] this kind of task” – that is, guiding them to the path of Islam.

Citing another Quranic verse, “He is the one Who created you, and among you is a disbeliever, and among you is a believer,” Al-Maqdisi adds that it is not possible for Muslims to provide such guidance because doing so would contradict the wisdom of Allah.[4]

“I say these wishes and this kindheartedness should not nullify the classification of the infidels into warriors that we should fight and wish destroyed. Rejoice at their deaths, whether at our hands or by the coronavirus,” he stresses.

As for infidels he considers “non-combatants or “kind to Muslims,” Al-Maqdisi says it is permissible to wish that they find their way to Allah and to pray for them to do so.

He then backtracks, saying that while “there is no dispute over the fact that every infidel who acknowledges the faith of Islam has a notable status among us, this does not prevent us from rejoicing at his death, since he not did become a believer [i.e. did not convert to Islam] or was among those who fight against the Muslims.”

Buttressing his arguments with Quranic verses and sayings of the Prophet Muhammad, he concludes by emphasizing that Muslims “should not be ashamed to pray to Allah for Him to diminish all those who fought [against] Islam, and kill them, and not save any one of them. Oh Allah, tighten your grip on them; Oh Allah, punish them by our hands and inflict them with coronavirus, plagues, and diseases.”

The Bible says to the contrary Ezekiel 33:11 Say unto them, As I live, saith the Lord GOD, I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked; but that the wicked turn from his way and live: turn ye, turn ye from your evil ways; for why will ye die, O house of Israel?KJB. Allah is a god of death. Jehovah-God is the God of life.

Certainly true! Most people are unaware of this Scripture, as they are of the fact that Ezekiel was told to tell the “wicked” what was going to happen and if he did not, their blood would be “asked back from” him.
Jehovah God actually cares about His creation and wants to give everyone “life in abundance.” The fake ‘god’ of islam, who is satan the devil, wants everyone to be destroyed eternally.

The most fundamental fact when a Muslim meets a non-Muslim is that he is a Muslim and the other is a kuffar. From this one simple, divinely ordained classification, follow a chain of world altering events, from which none of us will be able to escape eventually, try as hard as we might. Not fighting Islam is certain death for all of us.

“Rep” for islam, i. omar, feels the same way. She tweeted a few days ago her praise of her false ‘god,’ in response to the concern shown by Mr. Trump, that people in the U.S. are dying .

snakes, all of them. Their souls are full of hate, lusts for rape and murder, and as Jesus said, “Out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45)”

They speak wicked things because their hearts are wicked. The evil they feel toward others is all they can speak because their heart is full of it. They are following in the footsteps of the “original serpent,’ satan the devil, whom they worship.

How many pieces of unexpurgated, deliberate, plain evil verbal malice from muslims have we seen reported on JW during this Corona season? This is the exact antithesis of Christianity, yet this dishonest claim to venerate Jesus Christ. Not surprising, I suppose, since not one word of His teaching actually appears in the Qur’an.

Response to Jayell: The above writer, Abu Muhammad Al-Maqdisi, Muslims should rejoice when non-Muslim KAFIRS are killed, just as Mohammed did. The Koran bears out his opinion as well.

According to Al-Bidaya wa Al-Nihaya (“The Beginning and the End”), Ibn Kathir’s authoritiative history of Islam, “After that, he [Abdullah] slit his [‘Amr’s] head off and bore it till he placed it between the hands of the Prophet. Thus did Allah heal the hearts of the believers with it.”

This, then, is the true significance of Koran 9:14-15: “Fight them, Allah will torment them with your hands [mortally wounding and eventually decapitating ‘Amr], humiliate them [pulling his beard], empower you over them [standing atop him], and HEAL THE HEARTS of the believers, removing the rage from their hearts [at the sight of his decapitated head].”

The logic here is that, pious Muslims are so full of zeal for Allah’s cause that the only way their inflamed hearts can be at rest is to see those who oppose Allah and his prophet utterly crushed—humiliated, mutilated, decapitated. Then the hearts of the believers can be at ease and “healed.”

Muslim 019, 4450: … I said: Mohammed, let me select from our people one hundred men and I will follow the marauders and I will kill them all. Mohammed laughed so much that his molar teeth could be seen in the light of the fire, and he said: Salama, do you think you can do this? I said: Yes.

There have been many reports here at Jihad Watch about how Muslims are being told to rejoice in the death and misery of non-Muslims that this coronavirus is causing. This is so typical of Muslims. I think that this deeply ingrained bad attitude to all non-Muslims, this hatred, is just about the main characteristic of Islam. Hating non-Muslims seems to be the central characteristic of Muslims. Since that is the case, I feel the same way about the Muslim enemy. If the numbers of Muslims are thinned out, I believe that it will be a safer world for the non-Muslims of the world. So, cram together in your mosques, after all, you know that allah will save you, you clowns, infect one another and adios to the Muslim enemy. When you spend your lives hating us non-Muslims, don’t expect our sympathy (at least, not from this infidel). I feel that these “scholars”, or whatever, are at least upfront and honest about the Muslim hatred for non-Muslims, unlike other Muslims who pretend not to hate non-Muslims.

      Absolutely true, tim.

As of said before, the clean-shaven “Brooks Brothers” jihadi’s, with their $50 haircuts are a lot more deceptive – and dangerous…

Yep. I remember you saying that, James. I prefer it when we get the evil truth from these Muslim spokesmen. It is far better to know exactly where we stand when dealing with these enemies of our way of life.

Perhaps pharmacist Eyad Qunaibi is a modern fellow, but Mohammed was not. Mohammed definitely gloated over the deaths of his enemies.

Aisha said, “His eye wept for no one.” -Tabari VIII: 40.

Non-Muslims assume that Mohammed fabricated the Koran from his subconscious. The following Koranic verses are particularly hatefilled:

ISLAMIC TEXTS THAT CLEARLY INCITE HATRED TOWARDS NON-MUSLIMS

Koran 60:4 “We have REJECTED you, and there has arisen between us and you ENMITY and HATRED, until you believe and worship Allaah alone.”

Koran 40:35 “They who dispute the signs (verses) of Allah without authority having reached them are GREATLY HATED by Allah and the believers.” (Note: not just “hated”, but “greatly hated”.)

“Rejoice when infidels die.” Now that says it all about the hate of the islamic “religion”. Islam the religion of death and misery spread throughout the world by criminals such as this guy, who for some deranged reason follows the insane ideology of Muhammad. It always amazes me how these cowardly islamic leaders always want someone else to ware the vest or do the killings while they sit in their comfy mosque. Its always easier to have someone else do your killing for you, while you promote this crap.
