Caterina Ciufegni is ready to give her life for globalism, and there are many others like her.
“NGO Doctor: Rescuing Migrants More Important Than Coronavirus Worries,” by Chris Tomlinson, Breitbart, April 15, 2020 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
A doctor working onboard a migrant transport NGO ship has claimed that picking up migrants in the Mediterranean matters more than worries over the Wuhan coronavirus.
Italian doctor Caterina Ciufegni, who works for the German migrant transport NGO Sea-Eye, played down coronavirus infection concerns. She said: “Facing people who run away from torture, coronavirus takes second place. I think we all accepted the risk.”
The 35-year-old spoke to Italian newspaper La Repubblica and admitted that the crew of the vessel Alan Kurdi did not wear protective masks when among each other, claiming it would be impossible to do so.
“Alan Kurdi is small; many of us share the same cabin. When we are with migrants, however, we wear masks and gloves. Last night, the Italian Coast Guard supplied us with personal protective equipment, medicines, and food,” she said.
According to Ciufegni, none of the 149 migrants on board the vessel who had been picked up off the North African coast showed signs or symptoms of the Chinese virus. The doctor confirmed that more than half come from Bangladesh, and the rest are from Morocco, Algeria, Chad, Sudan, Ghana, and Syria….
Scheitleister says
If its so important, return them from where they are coming from. They have no business in Europe.
Rufolino says
Can anyone tell me what gives migrants the automatic right to enter Europe and partake of the benefits of a civilisation not their own ?
It is understood that in order to enter another country there are laws, restrictions, regulations and rules that have to be obeyed. It is every country’s right to impose these rules.
Why is it that “migrants” assume a God-given right to ignore these rules and waive regulations, and that the individuals helping them, apparently celebrate the fact ?
Frank Anderson says
R. Do you really want the answer? It is simple. Corrupt, incompetent, treasonous people in charge, and Quislings in place from top to bottom. Any sense of duty or loyalty to the SUBJECTS of the countries being invaded, looted and conquered is long gone.
“An Armed person is a citizen. An unarmed person is a subject.”
That is the short, blunt, direct answer.
James Lincoln says
Yes, Frank:
Your answer was “short, blunt, direct” – and also correct…
Frank Anderson says
James, most of us here are very plain spoken.. Smoke and flowers are not appreciated. A long time ago I stood in for a lawyer friend where he had made an error handling some paperwork. The judge asked me to explain why he had the problem. I answered with three words, “Sloth, Your Honor.” The judge understood he did not need to chew me out because I had already done an adequate job of “enlightening” my friend. There is great benefit in simple candor.
Anne Smith says
Because the UN (nowadays Muslim controlled) has decreed that migration is a human right.
The moronic Theresa May signed Britain up to its nonsense when she signed the UN Compact on Migration.
European Governments put virtue signalling ahead of the health and welfare of their own populations.
Phil Copson says
“….The moronic Theresa May signed Britain up to its nonsense when she signed the UN Compact on Migration….”
——————————————————————————————–
May wasn’t “moronic” – and neither was she a Conservative: like too many, she judged her success by how much damage she could do, whether by surrendering more control to the EU / open-borders migration / allowing British prisons to be controlled by muslim inmates / doing nothing about muslim rape-gangs and supremacist Sharia marches / spitting in the face of normal married people by pushing homosexual marriage / banning anti-jihad campaigners, Christian bishops, and genuine refugees from entering the UK / signing anti-Israel UN motions to cock a snook at Donald Trump and ingratiate herself with the EU and the Arab world – in short, in her terms as Home Secretary and Prime Minister, May did as much as she possibly could to harm the country that she so sick-makingly professed to “love” in her “Me, Me, Me” Lady Di-style retirement speech.
Roger Woodhouse says
Because ‘feelings’ trump legal proceedures. These ‘usefull idiots’ are a law unto themselves(or so they think) They seriously believe they are carrying out the wishes of all Europeans by bringing these economic migrants into Europe.(just dont deposit them next to where they are living though)We are led by stooges posing as politicians whose sole aim in life is to further their own careers .Do gooders who get a kick out of seeing to be virtuous in the eyes of ‘their’ circle of friends and associates.
Laura says
The Global Compact for Migration is driving the current influx. It is their ‘right’ to invade whichever country pays the best welfare.
Frank Anderson says
Does anyone reading here NOT understand that they are NOT “migrants” but are “invaders”? They are obeying the mandate to conquer, loot, and enslave the world.
I cannot imagine that the US is the only country in the world that makes [under 18 United States Code Section 2 (available online) that applies only in the US] each person who “aids, abets, counsels or acts in furtherance” of a federal felony equally guilty with the person who otherwise acting alone commits the crime. But it looks that way. Aiding in the overthrow and conquest of a country ought to be a fairly serious crime; but it does not appear so from all I am reading for years now?
Wellington says
Fine and accurate post, Frank, and why I have lost all patience with non-Muslims still defending Islam.
And I have noticed this correlation: the more a non-Muslim defends Islam the less they know about it. This is why when I come across non-Muslims making excuses for Islam, and early on detect that they know next to nothing about this iniquitous creed, I metaphorically take the gloves off and, quite frankly, try to illustrate to them how little they know by way of asking questions about such things as “muruna,” “kitman,” who Kinana was, the difference between the words “sura” and “sira,” what the hadiths are, what Sura 4:89 says or what Sura 98:6 says, etc.
You may disagree, but I think subtly belittling people who think they know more than they do, all the while defending wickedness, is an effective strategy. Ignorance defending malevolence should not get a pass. Enough already with being nice to people who long ago should have learned more about an evil which, in insouciant and full stupid mode, they to this day defend. The sin upon their head, not mine.
I say no quarter asked, no quarter given. I don’t ask it for myself and don’t extend it to others.
Hope the trucker and lawyer (among other accomplishments that could be assigned to your person) which reside in you are doing fine. Take care, pal.
James Lincoln says
Wellington says,
“And I have noticed this correlation: the more a non-Muslim defends Islam the less they know about it.”
Absolutely 100% true.
I take an even simpler approach with non-muslim apologists. I simply asked them if they have read the Koran.
Almost all of them, surprisingly, have not.
But somehow, magically, they seem to know what it contains – “all good things about islam”.
They rely on the “Cliffs Notes” from their local imam…
Wellington says
Ditto for me, James. Most I know—friends, family, acquaintances, etc.—have yet to pick up a Koran and read it (there are exceptions and I am gratified by this).
There is no excuse for this ignorance about Islam almost 20 years after 9/11 and so I no longer “indulge” such people. Understand, I don’t outright insult them (unless it is a totally clueless Leftist in an AOC kind of way), but I subtly insult them by probing how much they know about Islam.
It is never much.
Frank Anderson says
W, in some ways I probably come across as a book peddler.
The standard koran is scrambled to confuse first-time readers and make the work of knowing what it promotes as difficult as possible, in order that followers, those who submit, depend on the imams (teachers) for instructions.
I ask and suggest that you take a close look at Bill Warner’s Abridged Koran before suggesting the standard koran to a first time reader. Warner has done a masterful job.
Westman says
That’s the Socratic Method that shows a person how little they actually know and how much is hearsay. The only problem is it makes people angry when their ego gets crushed by being forced to admit they don’t know something. It didn’t work out well for Socrates; he is remembered as being correct and also prematurely deceased.
gravenimage says
James, you are right about many clueless people in the West and the Qur’an. I have actually had people say that they don’t need to read the Qur’an to know that it teaches peace.
Westman, I’m reading Plato’s Dialogues now–the best account of the Socratic Method.
You are right that many people don’t like having their irrational beliefs pointed out to them, no matter how gently.
Frank Anderson says
W. I tested my approach with friends who graduated in the mid-1960’s. We have had our fist fights and controversies that started as much as 12 years earlier. I found the Dale Carnegie approach obtained a better reception than force feeding. Come on, I have been reading and learning about islam for almost 12 years and I could not answer some of your questions. You could no doubt utterly humiliate me with little effort if you wished. How will that win me to your side? We need people to join us; not to walk away from us angry, embarrassed or furious. One or two good basic questions could be enough to trigger an avalanche of inquiry. That is what got me started after nearly 7 years of buying the “religion of peace” lie.
You know of my great respect for Old Testament wisdom, and hopefully all wisdom that comes to me. One of those statements is “A soft answer turneth away wrath.” PLEASE consider my Suggestion to tone down and moderate your introductory examination. I think you may be more successful in attracting the inquiry we both desire to unsettle a few presently dead minds.
Always in my office and elsewhere I learned the hard way to do my best to identify people who will think and those who refuse. I try to move on to more productive endeavors when I identify closed minds. We have limited time and resources, There is no point wasting them on idiots, collaborators and traitors.
I am working on several projects at home that have waited while other projects had my attention. Making progress and trying to stay healthy as I can. WE still have good things to do.
Wellington says
Excuse my impertinence, Frank, but why by now should such “folks” not be able to answer the basic questions I most certainly do ask of those who defend Islam with no knowledge of it?
But go ahead, give it a shot, what questions would you ask? Details if you will.
Frank Anderson says
W.
Question 1. Do you know that lying whenever advantage can be obtained is encouraged?
Question 2. Do you know that under the “final, perfect, complete, unchangeable” teachings of islam, any peace deal with non-muslims lasts only so long as convenient to the muslims gaining the strength to continue their goal of world conquest by every available means?
I found that is enough to get some people asking more questions.
Wellington says
Well, good questions, Frank (I think). But don’t you see that the queries you ask are arguably putting the cart before the horse?
They presume Islam is wrong in a general way and I, as the lawyer that I am (history teacher too), have always thought that specifics when countering error are the better approach, though I do want to note here that teaching in general should be rooted in deductive reasoning, i.e., proceeding from the general to the specific, and not inductive reasoning, i.e., proceeding from the specific to the general. But Islam in our time, I would contend, disallows this, as it disallows so much else (including fine beer, delicious pork products and both pictorial art and music—no Michelangelo or Beethoven in Islamic history now is there?; oh gee, I wonder why?).
Ah, it’s a dilemma no doubt and reasonable minds can have different opinions—as I think we do. Stay well, Frank.
Frank Anderson says
W. my beloved uncle and father by choice #2 in sequence but not rank, said there is more than one way to kill a ?take your choice? Like the choice of rifle cartridges for hunting, the one that suits you is the best for your safari. (I wrote a short paper with a table comparing the popular cartridges with the “gold standard” 30-06 which concludes that at the ranges most hunting shots are taken responsibly, they are all the same.)
We both want to get more people asking questions that I DID NOT ASK for most of 7 years. Please do consider my suggestion.
Wellington says
I will consider your suggestion, Frank, but I hope you consider mine.
As an entirely other example, when someone says to me (which I have heard innumerable times over many decades, including by people with PhDs), something to the effect that Karl Marx had some good ideas, I ask such a person, well then, what do you think of Marx’s theory of alienation, or his dialectical materialism, or his determinism, or his labor value theory or his theory of intrinsic worth, etc.?
About this time with such queries about Marxism by those defending it in one way or another, I usually get a blank look, as though I had just asked the person, “What do you think about Martians recently landing in Nebraska?”
Sorry, Frank, but I have a great impatience, not with ignorance per se (though this can indeed be annoying many times), but with ignorance defending evil with no real knowledge of it.
My take. Now yours.
Frank Anderson says
W. your knowledge of the “gory details” is far greater than mine. I could not, having presented a massive “gory detail” case over nearly 15 years, match my knowledge of those gory details with the gory details of islam. I lived that case. I was that case, because I refused to help corporate officers defraud the entity and shareholders of money. I made judge after judge and court after court glaze over with the details, all documented by memo and letter after document. My sworn pleadings were often more than 100 pages including the attached documents.I made a record that cannot be destroyed if any more retaliation is attempted.
Glenn Beck with one interview (I believe with Robert Spencer) shattered my illusions and ignorance of islam and started me reading. He did it over Fox News without beating or embarrassing me. My military school classmates include a number of millionaires (not me), highly successful professionals, and a variety of working people (not bad for a class of 57 graduates). Military school produces in our experience people who are ready to question at generally the right times, when properly approached (provoked). Other school systems produce milk toasts who never question anything except what is the next free lunch.
I have interviewed in private practice from 1992 to 2008 (I am certain) several hundred clients, including several doctors and lawyers, and many different trades and professions, all of whom were in some measure of self-made misery; and had to show them what is making them miserable; then give them some ideas of what can help them work out of it. That is what I did for a living in my own office, where I was the whole office. Some people I could help; and some people I could not. Those that I could not were sent to find other guidance. What I learned through experience is that a little shock and awe is needed to get attention. Too much kills the conversation. Some conversations need to die quickly.
I had one hopeless case sent to me by a “friend”. When we went through the numbers, and they saw how hopeless they had made their situation, they went back to the “friend” and reported “He made us cry!” I asked my “friend” to not do me any more “favors” by sending cases that demanded major action that the client was unwilling to consider. I survived on more reasonable clients who were prepared to do what was necessary for rehabilitation.
Like many things, there is somewhere between the extremes which will work more often than it fails. We know enough about the bell curve and general statistics to accept that probability of success is never certain. And we know that the only certainty is if we do not try, which I am certain we both will try..
Frank Anderson says
W. Additional: My father by choice #7 in sequence but not rank, gave me the nickname of “Godzilla” (registered trademark of Toho Corporation) because he had never seen a lawyer who would so bluntly counsel a client. I had to learn a measure of control for my brutal directness, but never allowed myself to turn into the kind of “anything goes” counsel it seems other lawyers were giving. Most of my clients who followed the plan we created together did well. I had to convince them of the need to accept some pain in order to make as much of it as possible to end.
Frank Anderson says
W. Yet another Additional thought: If I understand your situation correctly you are a tenured person who has “job security” which enables your impatience with ignorance and fools.
My office situation was different. I had to “kill what I ate”. If enough clients did not decide to hire and pay me, I didn’t eat or pay my bills. I did not want to take every prospective client and did my best to screen out those who would abuse the relationship. For those who would cooperate with me, I gave them every benefit of my education and experience which helped them see the need to learn what they either did not know, or had forgotten to get them into the position they were before meeting me. I have been criticized roundly by lawyers and professors who lack the broad experience I have, telling them that I believe a client hires me for everything I think or know.
I was proud of being able to see which clients needed to go to another office. I could not make a living, much less maintain my health or keep my licenses, by being abused. This may help understand my self-described “modest” efforts at sufficient tact and diplomacy to get and keep good clients, while providing advice that would meet professional requirements and produce good results. “A lawyer’s duty of zealous advocacy of his client’s interest is limited by an equally solemn duty to uphold the law and the standards of professional conduct.” Nix v. Whiteside, 475 U.S. 157 (1986).
Peace and best wishes.

Wellington, I have had the exact same experience with people saying that Marx had some good ideas.
Either a blank look, or some reference to his being in favor of something like aid to the needy–an idea he did not promote, and that much preceded his age, in any case.
Dawne says
If you have the knowledge to argue in this way with these ignorant people, then I’d say don’t “subtly” belittle them, just belittle them!
mortimer says
To Wellington: Wellington correctly identifies the almost total ignorance of Globalists in the matter of the jihad doctrines. (The Globalist Maximus being Pope Francis, an example of such presumptuous ignorance about Islam.)
I told a Leftard acquaintance who defended Islam, that Mohammed was a warlord. I then offered him my copy of the Sira so that he could verify my claim for himself by reading Mohammed’s ‘official biography’ (the Sira). He declined to learn anything.
It’s a common presumption among Leftards that all Muslims can simply ‘make up’ whatever personal version of Islam they prefer. The Globalists do not realize that the rules of Islam are as codified as the rules of the IRS. Just try stepping out of line with the IRS and you’ll find they come down heavily. The same is true with the Islamic establishment in Muslim-majority countries. Islam is not a matter of personal interpretation either.
Only Muslims in Western countries have the freedom to make up their own rules for practicing Islam such as enjoying a beer, eating baconburgers or snacking during Ramadan … or in the case of Ilhan Omar, of cavorting with different already-married boyfriends and marrying her brother.

Good post, Mortimer.

Frank Anderson says,
“Does anyone reading here NOT understand that they are NOT “migrants” but are “invaders”?”
Frank, I think it’s safe to say that 99% of Jihad Watch readers understand this. The other 1% are muslim/muslim apologist trolls – or just plain nut cases.
And yes, I think that this 35-year-old Italian physician referred to in the feature article has to be a leftist/globalist. Perhaps she could be enlightened, but I doubt it.
I personally once thought about joining “Doctors Without Borders” until I found out that they had a strong anti-Israel bias, along with some other major leftist biases…
Lilith Wept says
Moslems are not fleeing the possibility of torture! It’s Christians that are being persecuted in Islamic countries by moslems……And I just read that 12 Christians were thrown off one of those boats trying to get to Europe…they were thrown off and drowned, by moslems! It’s another lie foisted on is that these invaders are fleeing for their lives. That they are “ refugees” and not the invading army that they are. If they are migrants it’s economic migrants , they want to get the welfare hand outs offered by European countries, instead of actually having to work for a living as they have to do in their home countries.
Yet no one is reporting about or helping the poor persecuted Christians. In Pakistan Christians are literally sold from one brickworks owner to another, they live worse than slaves! In addition to a debt they owe their owners, they live life in daily fear of being accused of a trumped up charge of blasphemy…….A mob of moslems threw a Christian brick laborer , the man and his pregnant wife into one of the brick furnaces , burnt both of them alive, because there was a rumor they had done something to a Koran.
These debts that the Christians owe to the brick works owner can be as little as a couple of hundred dollars. They get sick, need medication, food etc, the only place to,get money is to borrow from the brickworks owner. No one else will loan a Christian money, and the “ collateral” is the man himself, and his labor . If they or a family member gets sick again, borrow again.
The whole family, little children, elderly, pregnant women, have to work to help pay this debt.
And if a Christian should do well, maybe has a little shop that does well, or some other business that makes a little money and they do well ( doing well means they can afford food, to send kids to school, buy clothing, medicine if sick, it’s not flaunting wealth) then the moslems say that Christians shouldn’t do well, that they must be cheating somehow because Allah wouldn’t allow Christians to do well , and then they make up a charge of blasphemy. Out of jealousy , envy or in retaliation, or to just punish the Christian for remaining a Christian and not accepting Islam.
It’s people, like this that Western countries should be helping
. I donate to a charity that specializes in helping Christians persecuted by moslems, in Moslem countries . I hear these stories about persecuted Christians ….
The Christians this charity helps go on to do amazing things, starting their own businesses , if they get a job they do very well at it,, very zealous devoted employees…these are the kind of people that would love to come to America and would do wonderful here . Assimilate and work hard.

Great exchange, Frank, Wellington, and James.
I generally agree that it is best to go very slow with people and gently point out what they are missing. I have a relative I spoke to recently who pooh-poohed the danger of Islam and claimed there had been no further terrorist attacks since 9/11. That anyone–especially an intelligent person who considers himself well-informed–could have missed all of the horrors since then is mind-boggling.
Sometimes it takes the patience of a saint to deal with this willful ignorance. Still, I hope a patient approach means he will reconsider–he said he’d look into it when I gave a much abbreviated laundry list of terrorist attacks over the past 18 years.
Jocelynn Cordes says
Graven, you probably are already aware of the site, but the website religionofpeace.org documents Muslim terrorist attacks all over the world since 9/11. It’s the opposite, of course, of an abbreviated list, but should be evidence for the dismissive that if Muslim immigration to the US continues apace, that degree of bloodshed is our future.
gravenimage says
Thank you, Jocelynn–I am aware of this fine site.
36,699 Jihad terror attacks as of right now–and counting.
https://www.thereligionofpeace.com/
As for my relative, I didn’t want to overwhelm him, and just mentioned a few horrors he might have heard of, like the Beltway Shootings, Ft. Hood, Orlando, and San Bernardino. I told him there were many more.
I have noticed that sometimes people will have heard about an atrocity, but have no idea that it was done by Jihadists.
Lauren Hermann says
Sadly, Frank, I must agree with you. I fear what kind of world our children and grandchildren will inherit. I can’t even bring up the subject with family and most of my friends in the US. If Islam destroys our western culture and ff I am still alive, I will not hesitate to give each of these clueless people a huge, “I TOLD YOU THIS WOULD HAPPEN!!”
Frank Anderson says
L.H. I am the first in line to agree there are some incredibly dumb people, including some in our own families. I offer ONE suggestion. That is to make yourself a “candle” (as in it is better to light one candle than to curse the darkness) by reading and learning for yourself as much as you can stand. In addition to my reading and writing comments here for the last several years I have read about 30 books from a variety of authors on the subject of islam and its goals. Even after that there are many people who know a whole lot more than I. But, I know enough that I don’t think some lying pond scum can confuse or embarrass me with lies. If you wish for my suggestions for the first several books, just ask. Otherwise start somewhere and continue as long as you can. The better books are available through Amazon Kindle so you don’t have to worry about finding them in a bookstore or shipping them to you.
I THINK you will attract some of the “dead between the ears” people by showing quietly your knowledge through the self-confidence that comes from your knowing instead of feeling.
I have spent many years learning about Holocaust related subjects. I deeply regret the loss of potentially great lives as people were saying “I told you so” on the way to the gas chambers. Your life is a gift in trust from God. If you see it that way, it is your duty to be a good steward of God’s life. Please consider my advice.

GI, candles play a big part in Jewish services. The first part of a normal service starts with a Candle Blessing. Often the ritual is to light one candle and then to use that candle to light the other. The point is that the first candle does not lose its light by sharing it. “There is wisdom all around us, in some surprising and amazing sources and places. The challenge is to hear the wisdom, distinguish it from error and deception which is always present when humans are involved; then to put the wisdom to work in our lives.” Rabbi S.F, my first visit to a Reform congregation April, 1992. May God Bless him for teaching me.

True, Frank. The image of lighting a candle–and using it to light others with no diminution of itself–is indeed a powerful image.
Lauren Hermann says
Thank you, Frank. I will certainly take you message to heart. And if you would like to suggest some books that you found helpful, I would greatly appreciate it. I actually became concerned about Islam in the mid 1970’s when 2 of my girl friends had very bad experiences with their respective muslim boyfriends. The red flag went up when I heard their stories. My instincts told me that something was very wrong with islamic culture. And the rest is history. After 9/11 happened, 3 different people told me ,”You were right!” Yeah well, a lot of good that did. I do pray for our civilisation, among other things. I have been blessed with 2 of the 3 things in life that I wanted the most, so I really can’t complain. Thank you again for sharing your thoughts.
Frank Anderson says
L.H., Of the 30 or so books I have bought and read, the first 3 I would suggest for starting are:
1. Robert Spencer’s Politically Incorrect Guide to Islam and they Crusades, for its excellent organization and brevity.
2 Bill Warner’s Abridged Koran. The standard koran is scrambled by the longest chapter first; and contains repetition and “stuff” to make it really hard to get to what it says about us. Warner put it into chronological order and removed information not needed to see what is taught regarding non-believers.
3. Mark Gabriel’s Unfinished Battle. Gabriel learned the entire koran word for word before he was 12. He taught islamic history at Al-Azhar, the highest sunni muslim university in Cairo, Egypt until he had an “epiphany” (paraphrased) “If islam is so great why were 4 million Egyptians killed bringing to Egypt?” (Page 52). He left islam and became a Christian. I praise his insight and authority.
All 3 of these books are extremely well written and easy to read cover to cover, in my experience. They will show you reasons to read more, and will attract some of your friends to start reading. They have succeeded in getting my friends to read. Whatever your “friends and family” think or do, it is your right and duty to protect yourself. The life you have is not yours to waste: It is given to you in trust by the One who will reclaim it in His time. I hope I am helping.
Lauren Hermann says
Frank, thanks for the book suggestions. I have read Robert Spencer’s “Confessions of an Islamophobe” and Brigitte Gabriel’s “They Must Be Stopped.” I am a member of ACT For America, and I have subscribed, and frequently donate to, David Horowitz Freedom Center. I support Israel and I let people know that anyone who is anti-semitic doesn’t set foot in my our house. I wish I could do more.
Frank Anderson says
Lauren you are off to a good start. Please continue. I offer some unsolicited suggestions:
1. Sparing you a fairly modest story which teaches this, do not depend on any other person to support or approve your good deeds. You know what is good and what is not. According to Jewish teaching (I try to learn everywhere) the first Mitzvah is that “All rules bend as necessary for the preservation of life.” That includes your life. Whatever it takes to keep you alive and free also keeps you available and ready to help others, including members of your family who later see the light.
2. Please don’t stop reading so that you understand for yourself instead of “feeling” or “guessing” what is coming. Your personal liberty is certainly important. Another Jewish teaching: Grandson to Grandfather, “Why are you planting walnut trees when it will take 70 years for them to produce walnuts?” Grandfather’s answer: “So your grandchildren will have walnuts.” OUR firm, determined, uncompromising stand against evil, by whatever label it is hiding behind today, is our walnut trees being planted for future generations.
3. Sometime the duty of self preservation demands major changes. My adopted family of 39 years told me when my official adopted mother died, the last of the 4 parents who wanted me, “We have our own families and problems, and we didn’t want you in the first place.” They told the truth. The truth set me free to seek better. That led to the best day’s work of my life when I went and found my birth mother, freeing her from a life of abuse and essential slavery with one telephone call.
“Freedom is not free.” We follow many who have paid more, even everything, for us to have a chance to pay our price.

Run away from torture? Hell, Islam in this area of the world is the root cause of such torture—physically, emotionally, spiritually, etc. I don’t think this doctor gets this and thus demonstrates again that education without common sense, moral intelligence and proper knowledge amounts to very little. Indeed, it is a negative as illustrated by this article.
Sentiment, exculpation of evil and overall ignorance should never supersede what is optimal for our species. Not even a close call here and why anyone—ANYONE—making direct or indirect excuses for Islam is part of the problem and most certainly no part of any sane and reasonable solution.
The MAIN problem continues, i.e., STILL not the realization en masse that Islam is wicked and there is no good reason to adhere to it or defend it. The Age of Nonsense sadly and stupidly marches on. And many lives will be destroyed by this nonsense, already have been and with many more lives to come. No more words.
James Lincoln says
Wellington says,
“education without common sense, moral intelligence and proper knowledge amounts to very little.”
Very true.
I have a niece who graduated valedictorian of her high school class. She also “sports” a Bachelors Degree from an Ivy League school, and a Masters degree from yet another Ivy League school.
Over 10 years out, and she has used none of this very expensive education in any practical way. The few “temporary” jobs that she has had could be done by a “streetsmart” high school grad.
I’m not kidding…
Wellington says
Doesn’t surprise me at all, James.
As for the Ivy League in general, it has become dead education, which is to say no real education. Still living on fumes and stupidly rich endowments, the Ivy League is, and not much else (I still make exceptions for the science and engineering departments but even these are in the process of being horribly compromised, especially the former).
You know, I see many parallels in our time to the end of the ancient world and the beginning of the Middle Ages. And I have to wonder where mankind will be not ten, twenty and fifty years from now (though I still wonder this) but a thousand years from now. Just saying. Gotta’ occasionally take that long view and all that.
You know, James, your posts are some of my favorites here at JW. You are a good, knowledgeable, wise and just man and I just wanted to note this. You also served the American military for a quarter of a century or so and thus you served the single greatest polity in history and again I want to thank you for this.
Maybe someday your niece will “get” all this. Sure hope so. Speaking in microcosm, America depends upon her doing so. Take care, pal. Stay well.

Much thanks for the kind words, Wellington.

This doctor’s unquestioning belief that these people are running away from something makes her suspect. The fact that she never considers that they might be running towards some personal benefit (like cash) or towards the fulfillment of their duty to Allah is telling. I truly hope that she has actually saved someone’s life, and that person in turn demonstrated his gratitude by being kind to everyone, instead of just going to Germany and raping a schoolboy.

It takes a lot of willful denial not to realize this.

They are not migrants – they are fleeing one situation for a better one. Just take / share what other people have built.
Or are they following in the foot steps of the skilled migrants of their countries to more monied climates?

And worse than coming to the West for the generous welfare packages, all too many Muslims intend to wage Jihad and impose Shari’ah law on us.

Italy: Doctor on migrant transport ship says rescuing migrants more important than coronavirus worries

Good lord, what insanity.
The truth is that what Muslim invaders bring is more deadly than is the Coronavirus.

“According to Ciufegni, none of the 149 migrants on board the vessel who had been picked up off the North African coast showed signs or symptoms of the Chinese virus. The doctor confirmed that more than half come from Bangladesh, and the rest are from Morocco, Algeria, Chad, Sudan, Ghana, and Syria….”
Bangladesh, Morocco, Algeria, Chad, Ghana – not war torn countries; Sudan – no longer a war torn country.
These people do not qualify as refugees. They are economic migrants; Italy has a right to refuse them entry!

You know how many idiots like Her are helping destroying Europe??!!, a lot , I hope she can burn in hell and be reaped by one of this savages, for sake of our children and grandchildren, sick , sick people..

Dito, Yogi. Every time I think things can’t get any worse, Robert Spencer proves me wrong. Remember Stephen King’s novel which was made into a movie, “Carrie”? I would just love to have that power! I believe the scientific term for it is “Telekinesis”

But it makes her feel good. And to hell with what anyone else thinks or knows. These do gooders are always wanting to help those below their status and place them in someone else’s neighborhood where they don’t have to deal or live with the filth and crime.

Thankyou Robert,
This silly ,feel good woman won’t be so cock -sure if she gets the Wuhan disease. You can be too sure of yourself. She should be looking after her own people

If she is so concerned about the men that she is helping rescue, may I suggest that she stay with them in the camp. While I don’t wish harassment or rape on anyone, that might open her eyes. (Yes, I am being probably unrealistically optimistic about a mindset change)

You and your friends may have “accepted the risk”, but I have not.
