This incident shows yet again the future of the U.S. This can’t happen here, you say? We respect the freedom of speech, you say? Maybe that was true at one time, but it is no longer. Cowardice is pandemic. Newspapers all over the country refused to republish the notorious Muhammad cartoons out of a newfound “respect” for Islam that they never showed for negative portrayals of Christianity, which they hailed as “courageous.” Those who call attention to the ideological roots of jihad violence are excoriated as racist, bigoted “Islamophobes,” and most organizations on both the Left and the Right would never dare feature such people as speakers. Any organization that does is immediately denounced and called upon to apologize, and it usually does. So given that this is the climate today, what do you think the situation will be like in ten or twenty years?

Malaysia should change its advertising that entices people to visit one of the most beautiful places from, “Malaysia truly Asia,” to “Malaysia truly Islamasia.” It is certainly not the friendly place where I worked and visited with my wife only about eight years ago. It is very sad how a country and its people can change when a foul pernicious cult defecates on them.

I will never travel to an Islamic nation. Never.
And I don’t need to be told that I can’t make an accurate judgment of the Islamic world without doing so. Oh yes I can. One can never travel to ancient Greece or medieval England but many quite accurate conclusions can nevertheless be drawn about these two cultures that are no more.
Travel is important but far more important are the travels in one’s mind which proper knowledge accompanied by common sense, moral intelligence and street smarts allow one to take. As Lao-Tzu observed, one can know the whole world and never leave his home.

I’m reminded of the sneeringly “have you ever met a Muslim or have any Muslim friends” taunt.

The very idea that a “a set of beliefs concerning the cause, nature, and purpose of the universe, especially when considered as the creation of a superhuman agency or agencies, usually involving devotional and ritual observances, and often containing a moral code governing the conduct of human affairs” could have feelings and be insulted is a fatal, fundamental and clearly stupid trend among Muslims.

Islamic blasphemy law doesn’t use the word ‘blasphemy’. It merely says ‘impermissible’. If you mention something ‘impermissible’ about Islam, Muslims or the false prophet, then you can be killed, especially if you are a kafir.
Non-Muslims in Muslim countries must be very careful with their words when talking with a Muslim. It’s almost necessary for them to record all their conversations if they have a disagreement or suspect hostility.
Even an otherwise innocent remark could ruin a non-Muslim’s life in a Sharia country if a malicious Muslim misreports it.

Very True. Countless Hindus are facing this problem in the middle east as we speak.

Not just Hindus, as Pakistan’s Asia Bibi situation made clear.

There is very little that is actually “moderate” about Malaysia.
