Abdallah Hassan Jiballah can make a strong case to support his words, based on the Qur’an. The Qur’an depicts the Jews as inveterately evil and bent on destroying the well-being of the Muslims. They are the strongest of all people in enmity toward the Muslims (5:82); they fabricate things and falsely ascribe them to Allah (2:79; 3:75, 3:181); they claim that Allah’s power is limited (5:64); they love to listen to lies (5:41); they disobey Allah and never observe his commands (5:13). They are disputing and quarreling (2:247); hiding the truth and misleading people (3:78); staging rebellion against the prophets and rejecting their guidance (2:55); being hypocritical (2:14, 2:44); giving preference to their own interests over the teachings of Muhammad (2:87); wishing evil for people and trying to mislead them (2:109); feeling pain when others are happy or fortunate (3:120); being arrogant about their being Allah’s beloved people (5:18); devouring people’s wealth by subterfuge (4:161); slandering the true religion and being cursed by Allah (4:46); killing the prophets (2:61); being merciless and heartless (2:74); never keeping their promises or fulfilling their words (2:100); being unrestrained in committing sins (5:79); being cowardly (59:13-14); being miserly (4:53); being transformed into apes and pigs for breaking the Sabbath (2:63-65; 5:59-60; 7:166); and more. They are under Allah’s curse (9:30), and Muslims should wage war against them and subjugate them under Islamic hegemony (9:29).
The most common response I get when I report on such things is that Jiballah is an “extremist,” and that I am agreeing with and thereby “validating” the extremists by noting the Qur’anic sources for their beliefs. Very well. Can a “moderate” kindly explain how Abdallah Hassan Jiballah is misunderstanding the Qur’an and Islam, and explain how it actually teaches respect and regard for the Jews? I’ll gladly post the explanation here. Send it to director@jihadwatch.org.
“Sudanese Preacher Abdallah Hassan Jiballah: Hatred, Hostility towards the Jews Is Part of Islam; It Is Forbidden to Normalize Relations, Form Alliances with Them,” MEMRI, March 1, 2020:
Sudanese preacher Abdallah Hassan Jiballah said in a sermon that was uploaded to the Internet on March 1, 2020 that the Jews are disbelievers who shed the blood of the prophets of Allah, and that hatred and hostility towards the Jews is an intrinsic part of Islam. He said that normalizing relations and forming alliances with the Jews is forbidden by shari’a law.
Abdallah Hassan Jiballah: “The Jews are the slayers of the prophets. They are shedders of blood who disbelieved prophets, and Allah detailed many more of their characteristics. Therefore, hatred and hostility towards them is a part of our faith.
[…]
“Brothers, normalizing [relations] with [the Jews] is haram. It is forbidden. It cannot be compared to the Treaty of Hudaybiyyah. Why? Because that treaty was conducted for the preponderant interest of the Muslims and for a limited period of ten years, which the Prophet Muhammad did not extend. It was only for a period of ten years, and for the preponderant interest of the Muslims. If there is something [in a treaty] that negates the faith of a Muslim, yet he still normalizes relations with them – that is haram. Such normalization is forbidden by shari’a law. Therefore, my brothers, Allah made it forbidden to be allies [with the Jews] and to support them.”

Preacher Abdallah Hassan Jiballah is preaching an ‘ESSENTIAL’ teaching of Islam called ‘Al Walaa wal Baraa’ (meaning ‘comradeship’ between Muslims versus ‘cleansing’ from non-Muslims).
He is teaching an Islamic version of apartheid. Al Walla wal Baraa (W-B) is a compulsory requirement for all Muslims and it is ‘essential’ for admission to Islamic paradise.
Without understanding W-B, you cannot understand the mindset of all Muslims. Muslims are required to hate the kafir, shun the kafir and show hostility to the kafir.
-Imam Abdul-Latif ibn Abdur-Rahman Rahimullah said, “It is not possible for someone to realize Tawheed (Islamic faith) and act upon it, and yet not be HOSTILE against the mushrikeen (i.e. wrong worshippers). So anyone who isn’t HOSTILE against the mushrikeen, then it cannot be said that he acts upon Tawheed nor that he realizes it.” [ad-Durar as-Saniyyah 8/167]
– “The Muslim should regard the Kuffaar as ENEMIES and HATE them because of their kufr (wrong belief), just as he hates their kufr (disbelief) itself.” – from Umar Sulayman ‘Abd-Allaah al-Ashqar, “Belief in Allah”
-“The doctrine of al Walaa wal Baraa is the REAL IMAGE for the actual practice of this faith.” – source “Al Walaa wal Baraa According to the Aqeedah of the Salaf”, by Sheikh Muhammad Saeed al Qatani, authoritative Saudi Sharia lawyer and imam at the Abu Bakr and Al Furqan Mosques in Mecca.
– “As a Muslim, I must have hatred for anything non-Islam” – Anjem Choudary.
– “The matter is clear on this issue. It is obligatory to disassociate and absolve oneself from the disbelievers and their religion. The issue of al-Walaa wal-Baraa is from among the greatest obligations in Islaam.” (Shaykh Salih Al-Fawzan, 2005, p. 308)

Definition of Islam by Hugh Fitzgerald:
A Vademecum On Islam: Five Pillars, Qur’an, Hadith, Sira
By Hugh Fitzgerald – on August 2, 2017
Islam is an all-encompassing ideology. It offers a Complete Regulation of Life. It divides the world uncompromisingly between Muslim and non-Muslim and, in territory, between Dar al-Islam, where Muslims rule, and Dar al-Harb, where non-Muslims for now prevail. Muslims must show loyalty only to fellow Muslims, and must disavow, reject, hate non-Muslims. This is the doctrine of Al-wala’ wa-l-bara’, an Arabic term meaning “loyalty and disavowal.” It signifies loving and hating for the sake of Allah. The observant Muslim holds fast to all that is pleasing to Allah, including all true Muslims, and at the same time withdraws from, and opposes, all that is displeasing to Allah, that is, the Kafirs (non-Muslims), who are to be hated for the sake of Allah.
While Islam is open to all, many of its practices promote the idea of Arab supremacism. The message of Islam was given to a seventh-century Arab, and in the Arabic language. The Qur’an must ideally be read and recited in Arabic. Muslims prostrate themselves in prayer five times a day, obligatorily turning in the direction of Mecca, in Arabia. Muslims must, if able, perform the Hajj once in their lifetime, a pilgrimage to that same Mecca in Arabia. Muslims should emulate the behavior of seventh-century Arabs — that is, of Muhammad and his Companions.

Um, I think you mean cult of Satan. Unless you’re really referring to the shiny material called “satin.”

Joanne, Templer has a small problem with spelling, but look past that. Just see his thoughts. All new people are welcome here. We need more contributors, apart from the faithful regulars.

Seriously, apart from the convenient assumptions in the West (mostly), has there been a truly practicing Muslim that has come forward to claim he/she is a moderate. Just saying.

Is human on human bloodshed and vitriol a sectarian thing, or is it just our nature validated through scripture?
CogitoErgoSum says
Some religions validate bloodshed through a willingness to die for one’s beliefs. Other religions validate bloodshed through a willingness to kill for one’s beliefs. Some religions encourage treating the enemy with compassion and other religions encourage complete humiliation and/or utter destruction of the enemy. Some religions call for showing love toward others without regard as to the other’s religion. Some religions call for hatred based primarily upon another person’s religion.
Not all religions have the same beliefs. Imagine that. Also imagine a long-haired hippie who also sometimes cut his hair short and had to kick a heroine addiction. Imagine him telling a fan of his music that his song about an imaginary world was “just a song” and then imagine him being a singer/songwriter who didn’t even like the sound of his own voice and that he wished he could do every one of his songs over again …. but, yeah, I imagine he really could write a good tune.

Witless false moral equivalency. It is not religion that is the problem, but Islam.
Giacomo Latta says
As one of the resident atheists, I agree. I only find them equivalent in two ways. One is the fairy tale level. Christianity, Mother Goose, Islam, giant bears crapping in the St. Lawrence to create the Thousand Islands, it’s all the same to me. The second is when all religions and pseudo-religions, including Islam, bond together to promote government spending on religions in order to receive funds for parochial schools, reduced taxes and the usual. This is where these cults all make themselves equivalent to the others.

Giacomo, I take your point about taxes.
I think the main difference, though, is that Jews and Christians and Buddhists are not out to murder us as pious Muslims are.

At least this nut-bag is being honest. Islam is all about hating the Jews. It is in Muslim’s DNA. Leopards can’t change their spots. Anyone, especially a Muslim, who says that jew hatred isn’t running through Islam like a watermark is either stupid or a LIAR, or both.

Islam is nothing but hate. It doesn’t just hate Jewish people, but every non-Muslim. It is such an evil ideology. How this completely hate-filled and endlessly violent ideology manages to get respect from so many people in our societies is one of the greatest confidence tricks of all time. Islam is a disgusting ideology and should be condemned by all decent people. There’s enough evidence by now (1400 years of bloodshed and total barbarity) for every sleepwalking fool to have seen what islam is all about by now. Hate-filled Islam should be shut out of every non-Muslim country. Should have happened ages ago.
James Lincoln says
tim, it’s even worse than that.
muslims even hate other muslims – if they think that they are not “islamic” enough….
tim gallagher says
Spot on, James. With islam, the hate never ends. And that’s what we almost always hear from these Muslim spokesmen, they are always spewing out hatred towards some group of people and wishing death upon them. I can’t find any redeeming feature of islam. Of course, to be fair, I am aware that I probably hate Islam as much as the followers of Islam hate me and other non-Muslims, but I can certainly say that I didn’t originally have this attitude towards Islam. For me, it’s something that gradually developed as I got to know what islam was all about. I consider Islam to be on a par with Nazism, so I feel fine about hating both of those evil ideologies.
James Lincoln says
tim,
I also hate islam. I hate an idea, a religious/political ideology that is incompatible with everything that the West has historically stood for.
That does not mean that I hate every single muslim on the face of the earth.
That is a very big difference…
tim gallagher says
Agreed, James. I have certainly met a few Muslims over the years who seemed like OK people (almost a miracle when you consider the hate-filled content of the ideology). I didn’t really trust them I must say and I didn’t know them that well. I’m a Christian but I have no trouble hating an evil ideology such as islam or Nazism, throw in mass-murderous Communism as well. I notice many Christians, this current Pope included, seem to me to think that they have to be nice to everyone ( hence their wishy washy attitude towards islam -they seem as though they think they have to be like doormats) , but I don’t think that way. I think that to be supporting any evil ideology, such as Islam, is to be complicit in evil. I noticed, when I read Robert Spencer’s “The History of Jihad” that he mentions some Christian leaders (including Popes way back when the Muslims first invaded Europe) who were very direct in calling Islam totally evil. I suppose I see things the way that those Christians did. I believe in calling out evil for what it is.
OLD GUY says
Well of course it is, hate and killing are the main tenets.of Muhammads islamic teachings.
Anjuli Pandavar says
Muslims are commanded to love Allah, i.e., Muhammad, and all who worship Allah, i.e., Muhammad, and to hate everyone else. Being a religion, of course, you also have to love Allah *in the right way*, else you’ll be hated, too. All other love, e.g., for your husband/wife, your children, your parents, etc., are also forbidden, unless they are channels through which you love Allah. The hate category constantly expands while the love category constantly shrinks.
There is none so messed-up as a devout Muslim.
Boromir's Horn says
Agree Anjuli,
Followers of Islam are taught right out of the womb to love Allah, the Quran and Mohammad. That’s it. Not their family and certainly not themselves. They seem to put all their efforts into the juggling of honor and shame. Motivations so strong that they routinely engage in “honor killings” something the West finds to be absolutely unimaginable but in the Muslim world quite acceptable.
We in the West are taught to love our brother and sisters equal to ourselves. Our motivations are guided by the gaining of pleasure and avoidance of pain. They are the yin and the yang that tack our course through our life (though I’ve noticed the avoidance of pain talking the loudest as I’ve aged). Easter seems the perfect time to discuss and expose these differences.
