Exposing the role that Islamic jihad theology and ideology play in the modern global conflicts

Turkey: Erdogan government arrests journalist for insulting the Qur’an

Apr 6, 2020 1:00 pm By Robert Spencer

A glimpse into the future of the U.S. This can’t happen here, you say? We respect the freedom of speech, you say? Maybe that was true at one time, but it is no longer. Cowardice is pandemic. Newspapers all over the country refused to republish the notorious Muhammad cartoons out of a newfound “respect” for Islam that they never showed for negative portrayals of Christianity, which they hailed as “courageous.” Those who call attention to the ideological roots of jihad violence are excoriated as racist, bigoted “Islamophobes,” and most organizations on both the Left and the Right would never dare feature such people as speakers. Any organization that does is immediately denounced and called upon to apologize, and it usually does. So given that this is the climate today, what do you think the situation will be like in ten or twenty years?

“Critical journalist arrested over insulting the Quran,” Ahval News, April 4, 2020 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):

Turkish authorities have arrested Hakan Aygün, former chief editor of the left-wing opposition-linked Halk TV, on charges of insulting or inciting hatred among people, pro-government Sabah newspaper reported on Friday.

Aygün on Monday had posted a tweet that criticised Turkey’s national donation campaign, announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, with wordplay over a verse in the Quran.

“Belittling the book, which is a primary priority for Muslims, and its verses through wordplay is an ugly attack beyond measure,” Mustafa Doğan İnal, a lawyer for Erdoğan who filed the complaint against Aygün, was quoted by Sabah as saying. “Our book the Holy Quran clearly states the fate of such people.”

In the complaint against Aygün, İnal argued that the journalist’s words included “insults and allegations that are impossible to tolerate,” and were “based on slanderous claims.” According to Erdoğan’s lawyer, Aygün’s tweet “insulted and belittled an identifiable group in society,” which was exacerbated due to the public nature of their medium.

İnal included in his complaint a previous post by Aygün, in which the journalist had posted a meme on his Facebook account, joking that the coronavirus had changed the restrictions on alcohol for Muslims, as further proof of malicious intent….

I hope everyone notices that the offending speech was wordplay.

    Humorless people are dangerous.

    “Belittling the book”

The koran is the most boring book anybody can read…the koran gets Christian Theology ridiculously wrong{k5:116 allah has Mary in the Trinity}…the koran is imperfect and thus by allah’s own criterion of koran 4:82 must come from “other than allah”..the koran is cognitively dissonant…the koran is not worth the paper it is written on as it is full of errors

The Quran, Muhammad’s favorite child, was really hurt by the bad words and asked Allah if he would kill some Jews just to restore the natural balance of sadistic, psychotic slaveowner to stupid slave. But since Allah is no brighter than Muhammad he forgot that he created viruses on the first day, late in the afternoon just before his nap. Turns out Satan is better at protecting Jews from viruses than praying to Allah or social distancing (rockets) and all the forces Allah had telepathically assembled to attack Israel were out sick. Plus that Jew tree didn’t tell the rock to shut up.

I think this should teach us a lesson finally:

Let us take as granted for a moment, that islam is perfect, and making any “humor” at its expense, using any type of word play, is forbidden.

Then we need to take any jihad terrorist at his word if he is quoting the koran. It cannot be acceptable for him to misquote said verses.

SO when imams (and some unnamed politicians), or muslims in general refuse to denounce terrorists, or claim they are misrepresenting islam, it is incumbent upon THEM to violently attack the ideals and very personages of said terrorists who are misquoting their precious holy book.

Any muslim that does not viciously attack a terrorist for “mis”quoting the koran is literally a bad muslim for not attacking the terrorist for misquoting islam.

ANY other reaction reveals the duplicity of islamic supremacists.

      Stieve,

      Your logic seems solid…

In Sharia law, a kafir who blasphemes is killed without forgiveness. A Muslim, on the other hand, will be asked to retract his comments or he will be killed as an apostate.

Verbally attacking Islam is considered worse than actual physical fighting against Muslims.

This phrase stands out: “Cowardice is pandemic”.

So is the unexplainable desire to be “politically correct” at all times, no matter the cause or the consequence or the significance.

Turkey, stop sending aid and get them out of NATO. This Islamic State is going down the path of becoming another Iran.
