Turkey vows to continue forcing more migrants across the Greek border after coronavirus ends

Apr 3, 2020 11:00 am By Christine Douglass-Williams

Muslim migrants armed by Turkey have been punching through Greece’s protective fences, creating scenes resembling World War I.

Turkish President Erdogan has withdrawn them for now, in light of the coronavirus pandemic. Yet despite resistance from Greece and the overt violation of its borders, Turkey has vowed to continue this hijrah once the coronavirus threat has ended, and to continue his efforts to Islamize  Europe through mass migration.

“Turkey: Migrants Will Return to Border After Coronavirus Outbreak Ends,” by Chris Tomlinson, Breitbart, March 31, 2020:

Turkish Interior Minister Süleyman Soylu has announced that after the Wuhan coronavirus outbreak ends, his government will not stop migrants from travelling to the Greek border.

Interior Minister Soyilu said that the government had evacuated an estimated 5,800 migrants from the border area and transported them to nine different Turkish provinces where they will be held in deportation centres until the outbreak ends.

“It was a precautionary move. We had to do it. But no one has yet to feel comfortable with it,” Soyilu said.

According to a report from the Greek newspaper Proto Thema, Soyilu added: “When the coronavirus pandemic is over, we are not going to deter any immigrants who want to return to the Greek-Turkish border in Pazar.”

George Koumoutsakos, the deputy Foreign Minister of Greece, criticised the Turkish minister, saying: “Yesterday’s statements by Soyilu respond to those who still had the slightest doubt that the events in Evros were an aggressive plan to brutally blackmail Greece and Europe with a ‘weapon’ of migrant exploitation.”

The government of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan opened the borders to migrants in late February, with the Greek government accusing the Turks of using busses and trains to ship migrants to the land border area along the Evros river.

The Greeks have also accused Erdogan’s government of arming migrants with canisters of tear gas to use on Greek border forces and supporting migrants attempting to storm the border…..

With resolute paranoia towards anything coming from the West, like the forthcoming coronovirus vaccine, is it reasonable to assume, a year from now, the muslim world will be going through all of this again? Could Allah and Karma be long lost cousins?

The development of a vaccine for COVID-19, and the possible rejection of it by Muslims as an evil “infidel plot” or a distasteful kafir concoction, DOES make for an interesting scenario. But more than likely, the vast majority of Allah junkies will decide to swallow their pride, shelve their hatred for the dirty kuffar momentarily, and put superstition aside on this particular point.

Exactly and one that will be extremely dangerous for any intruder. Surely the Greeks have not forgotten the horrific conditions of the Turkish occupation prior to 1821 and under Theodoros Kolokotronis’ leadership that took eight and a half years to win the victory and freedom.

    ……………………

Greece should use this time to build a nice fortified wall.

Turkey should have been kicked out of NATO long since.

Mining both sides of the wall would make the invaders think twice.
As i was a former U.N solidier in Cyprus in the 1980’s, I saw first hand how a mine field had a very strong deterrent effect of keeping people out, and one that only a fool would enter.

        Your right.

As a deterrent it is good at its job.
Plus, it is cheap to maintain and quick to be deployed!
You don’t need many for it to be effective,
the sight of someone having their legs blown off, sends a strong message!

Orban”s Hungary constructed a very effective, patrolled, barbed wire fence along its vulnerable border, and it was done relatively quickly.

Orban had the necessary WILL. Greece and the EU take note. But the EU won’t take note, because it doesn’t want to.

“the Greek government accusing” yeah ok I get it, trying to be “objective” I guess, except that there’s lots of video evidence and even Soylu himself has gone on record admitting the “accusations”, so…

The Greeks should start laying minefields, a few blown up illegal immigrants would send a strong message.

No-one could fault the Greek government as the fields would be on their territory, protecting their border. Those who tripped the mines would be trespassing!

Do you recall Iran sending thousands of teenagers into Iraqi minefields armed with copies of the koran? When life is viewed as time for misery and death a path to paradise perverse results follow. Why is there never a shortage of suicide bombers? Israel slowed the suicide bombing only by targeted killing of the leaders who enabled them.

Mine fields that are not covered by active defense can be defeated with slow application of pieces of wood as soon as the general boundaries are known..

      • gravenimage says

        Apr 5, 2020 at 1:06 am

Frank, Israel also reduced suicide bombers by building good fences with checkpoints. Most suicide bombers are prevented from entering Israel at all at this point. I hope Greece can do the same.

        • Frank Anderson says

          Apr 5, 2020 at 1:31 am

GI, you are never in error. Wrong to me is a moral question, a question of intent, instead of one of fact. Certainly fences and checkpoints have helped. Where I think differently is that checkpoints remain an excellent target for suicide bombers. Consider the experience of checkpoints in Iraq and Afghanistan. I suggest the readiness to kill the leaders who would otherwise order and equip the bombers completes the task of restraining suicide attacks as nearly as possible. Of course, the primary reason for Israel controlling building materials is to limit, again as much as possible, the building of tunnels under their border, just as we see cartel tunnels under the US border.

This puts our idiot politicians in a spot, doesn’t it?

US/NATO wants Turkey as a member (why, nobody knows, they are not trustworthy).

    Europe is all NATO.

What happens one NATO member attacks another NATO member?

When, not if, Turkey sends these soldiers (these are not “migrants” but millitants) back, it is an invasion.

Who will the US and other NATO members support?

And it is an invasion. Using biological warfare at this time (COVID-19).

  9. OLD GUY says

    Apr 4, 2020 at 12:41 pm

Turkey is showing signs of being a radical Islamic State. It is time to consider removing them from NATO, and putting sanctions on them the same as Iran. The Greeks need to stand up and protect their border or they will become a non-country controlled from a handful of E.U. leaders.
