What is happening in Britain is patently obvious. Future historians, if there are any, will note small incidents like this as part of the nation’s overall loss of cultural confidence and identity, and one more step along the way of its decline and eventual fall. It is rather like a market in the late Western Roman Empire celebrating a Goth or Vandal feast while ignoring a Roman one. And the ultimate outcome will be the same.
“UK: Supermarket runs ads promoting Ramadan but not St. George’s day,” Voice of Europe, April 24, 2020:
People across the UK have noticed that the British supermarket chain Morrisons has been running ads which promote the Muslim holiday Ramadan but not St George’s day – England’s national day – which is on April 23rd.
Interestingly enough, a quick search for Ramadan on the grocery chain’s homepage brings up this page. However, a search of St. George’s day on the website gives no results.
Late Thursday afternoon, Morrisons actually tweeted about St George’s day, most likely because they noticed people were complaining about it….
Mike Stevens says
It’s not just on the website – a few weeks ago, at the height of the lockdown, in my area Morrisons sent someone door to door (against government advice) distributing glossy leaflets ‘celebrating’ Ramadan with special offers. I won’t be shopping there again, that’s for sure.

German drugstore chain shows ad with antisemitic conspiracy rapper
The giant German drug store chain Rossmann sponsored an advertisement with a rapper who has advocated an antisemitic conspiracy theory against Israelis during the jihadi plane attacks on 9/11 in New York City.Rossmann is the second largest retail drugstore in Germany, with a total of 4,088 stores and 56,200 employees.
The German rapper Wasiem Taha, who is of Palestinian origin, circulated on social media a statement that “On September 11, 2001, 4,000 Israelis did not show up for work at the World Trade Center.” A caption under the statement and a picture of a passenger plane about to strike a WTC tower reads “Islam facts.”Taha wrote above the social media post: “Weird, isn’t it.”Taha fantasized in a song a number of years about a terrorist attack in Tel Aviv with a bomb belt. The popular Rossmann video advertisement targets a young audience and addresses the post-coronavirus climate: “Clubfeeling 2020. So that we all celebrate after corona.”Customers are showed wearing face masks so they can later party.
In 2018, the left-wing daily taz wrote that the Berlin rapper Massiv promoted a “9/11 conspiracy theory and hate speech against Israel.” The paper said that Massiv is “without a doubt pro-Palestinian” in regards to the Israel-Palestinian conflict.Taha was born in Germany in 1982.A Rossmann spokeswoman sent a company statement to The Jerusalem Post on Friday. The statement said “We are against any form of antisemitism…Massiv distances himself today from his earlier antisemitic statement.”Rossmann wrote that Massiv assured the drug chain in a statement that “I distance myself from hate, violence, war and antisemitism. Since 2015, I have completely defused my texts from negative expressions and profanity. I am working wih youths in different projects. My music is motivating.”Rossmann said the advertisement was a one time deal with the rapper and the company does not plan to work with him again. The German Jewish and pro-Israel activist Malca Goldstein-Wolf told the Post on Friday that “The impression arises that Rossmann does not take antisemitism seriously. Anyone who spreads conspiracy theories about Jews stokes hatred of Jews.”She said that “a well-known company like Rossmann does not immediately end its cooperation with the rapper Massiv in times of increasing antisemitism and does not apologize for the wrong decision is a slap in the face of Jewish customers. I will no longer shop at Rossmann stores.”Arye Sharuz Shalicar, who was born in Germany to Jewish-Persian parents and made aliyah in 2001, and author of the book The New-German Antisemite – Do Jews today belong to Germany? – tweeted: “always have shopped at Rossmann. I will refrain from that from now on. Why? Because Rossmann paid an antisemitic conspiracy theory rapper named Massiv to promote the company. Or how do you understand this agitation from him after 9/11?”

Aw, come on UK, get on with it – stop teasing us, become an “islamic republic” once and for all. You are about as “anti-Christian” as you can get. Might as well make it official.

The Muslim population of the UK is doubling about every 12 years according to official census data.
If this demographic trajectory continues we may reach the point of no return within the decade 2030 to 2040. See: http://hellish2050.com/leaflets/Hellish_2050_leaflet.pdf

I’m sadly unsurprised at this, but still angry.
However – I am MUCH angrier at non Muslims here in the U.K., who buy from Muslim owned Pizza, Chicken, Kebab, Curry Houses, which solely sell Halal meat AND actively show this via signage outside.
They are warned, and have the opportunity to take their business elsewhere, but they choose NOT to. For me, these people are a BIG part of the problem!
The ONLY Curry Houses I frequent are those owned by Tamil and Sinhalese Sri Lankans, non Muslim Indians and Sherpa Nepalese.
Plus I buy from Fish and Chip shops – albeit, there is now an horrific trend where Kurds, Turks and Pakistanis are opening their own woeful fish and chip shops and selling Halal kebabs and burgers alongside it.
I also notice an increasingly horrific trend where, Muslims leave highly negative reviews on sites like Tripadvisor, for even fish and chip shops, which don’t sell Halal. This is made worse when a Fish and Chip Shop, in an area like New Malden, England, where the non ethnic English population is massively South Korean, and Muslims have virtually no presence whatsoever – yet Muslims still post poor reviews demanding Halal from its non Muslim owners.
I know many South Koreans here, and they too are bullied by Muslims online for not selling Halal.
RichardL says
We spoke with our neighbours (she is Jewish) about halal and they had no idea what it meant. I refused to even enter a grocery store in the strip district because it had a big halal sign in the window. My wife is from Egypt and wanted molokheya and went in when she was alone and the people are Syrian Christians with pictures of saints everywhere! How can islam not win with people like that?
Lilith Wept says
I won’t eat halal. I have an app on my phone to tell me where halal restaurants are….so I can avoid them! Lol!
Around here several of the Indian restaurants offer only halal meats so as much as I love good Indian food there are several I don’t visit those and look instead for the restaurants that aren’t halal….I even call and ask if it’s not posted on their website . And I tell them I’m eating at their restaurant because they aren’t serving halal meats.
I am Christian and I believe that halal food is offered to a false god, Allah, when it’s slaughtered and a prayer to Allah is said, to me this is no different from eating food that’s been offered on the altar of Zeus . And early Christians were martyred rather than do this simple thing!! ( How far we Christians have fallen)
The Bible says that we are not to eat food offered to false gods.
And the other reason I won’t eat halal is because of its cruelty to the animals. I grew up on a farm and we raised our own meat. One of the things my father, who was a Baptist minister taught me was that God gave us the animals to use, for transportation and food but they belonged to God. And to cause an animal suffering when you killed it for food was disrespectful to God. So we made sure to kill an animal quickly, as painlessly as possible, , in a way it was unaware it was being killed, and if we killed more than one to never allow the other animals to hear, see or smell the other animals being killed so as not to terrify them with the scent of blood and death.
Terrifying them was considered causing them suffering .
And I won’t eat halal food, or do ANYTHING to show support for Islam , in any way or form.

According to Pew Research, with a medium migration scenario, muslims in the UK will reach 16.7% in 2050.
In other words, the demographics do not look good.
It could go higher if:
1. There is a higher muslim migration scenario.
2. Native Brits emigrate from the UK to countries like Poland or Hungary.

Wellington says
Dismal statistics, James. One can only hope that the more Islam gets exposed for all the absurdities in it (e.g., getting the Christian trinity, irrespective of one is Christian or not, ridiculously wrong) and all the heinous doctrines in it (e.g., death for apostasy as found in Sura 4:89 and the Bukhari Hadith 9.84.57), that it will die “from within.”
Indeed, a major, though not sole, way of defeating the worst religion of all time is mass defection by Muslims themselves (this is also what happened, had to happen, to the monumental errors which are Nazism and Marxism).
For liberty to be triumphant over the religious dictatorship which is Islam, not only must subservient dhimmis be reduced to a minimum but devout Muslims too, the latter requiring not engaging in the fool’s errand of trying to reform Islam (can’t be done) but only leaving it entirely, dangerous though this is, “compliments” of Islam’s wicked and freedom-crushing death for apostasy doctrine still upheld by every major school of Islamic theology, Sunni or Shiite.
Just as there is no good Nazism, Marxism or anarchism, there is no good Islam. This MUST be the starting point—in the UK, in Europe, in the West in general, and all across the world. Sadly, not there yet.
pragmatist says
I believe that figure is much too low. Statistics show that the Muslim demographic in the UK doubles every ten years. There is no reason to believe, bearing in mind the stated immigration aims of all parties, that this will be lessened in the future, so it’s purely a question of simple mathematics. If we assume a present Muslim population of 5%, in 2050 the figure will be 40% not 16.7%.
James Lincoln says
pragmatist,
Greetings.
I am very careful to quote only those statistics in which I can provide a reputable reference.
Pew Research – by all measures – is reputable.
If you can provide a reputable reference that projects that the muslim population of the UK to grow to 40% in 2050, please provide it.
I’m not trying to be purposely contentious, I would be happy to evaluate your reference using factual evidence-based logic.

Don’t buy meat from these places. Enquire whether it’s halal at the checkout. If the answer is yes dump it! Buy any meat from a reputable place online – try Donald Russell but always ask about Halal. Also we should get onto the RSPCA and find out what they are doing.

If I remember correctly, several years ago Morrisons gave a generous donation to an Islamic charity. I don’t know if they knew Islamic charities only help Muslims. However I would have thought they would have checked what would happen to the money they donated.

Our descendants will justifiably judge us with disdain for knowing what we know now, but doing nothing about it, and kicking a much larger more deadly can of rattlesnakes down the road to them.
pragmatist says
No they won’t. Our present younger generation – the forerunners of the future ‘descendants’ you mention, have been so brainwashed that they are quite happy with the present situation, and see it as normal and desirable. The elderly aren’t much better – I still find it astonishing that among those of my acquaintance, all pensioners, the vast majority see no problems whatever with the Muslims in our society and I am derided, or worse, if I try to mention it. This is because they, virtually without exception, rely on the MSM for their (mis) information. I don’t know any of them who, let alone consulting the alternative media, even know that it exists. I know of no one who has heard of this site, or the Gatestone Inst. or others similar. I referred one guy, who had expressed the opinion that Muslims were actually responsible for the fewest global terrorist outrages, to the Religion Of Peace.com website’s detailed listings of Muslim terror attacks since 9/11 (nearly 37,000 at present I believe). He checked on it and came back to me saying – in spite of the, presumably verifiable, details given – that he didn’t believe any of it because it was obviously a biased Right wing site publishing false information and this is the reaction of all of them faced with similar information. Numerically, obviously, there are a great number of us who are aware of the problem, but, proportionately, unfortunately, we still form a minority. Sadly, I believe the UK has passed the point of no return. To my great regret, by the very nature of things I shan’t be around long enough to eventually be able to say ‘I told you so’.
