My latest in PJ Media:
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) has strayed a long distance from its stated mission “to stop the defamation of the Jewish people and to secure justice and fair treatment to all.” It expressed outrage last week that some people, notably my fellow PJ Media columnist Raymond Ibrahim and me, have been covering some of the more bizarre and disquieting reactions to the coronavirus in the Islamic world. “Islamophobes React to Coronavirus Pandemic with Anti-Muslim Bigotry,” the ADL claimed, which was full to the brim with the self-righteous virtue-signaling and unsubstantiated name-calling that we have come to expect from the Left. There was just one catch: the reports that so enraged the ADL were accurate.
It’s a common tactic of Leftists: represent facts that are patently true as if they were self-evidently false, and egregiously hateful and bigoted, without any actual attempt to refute them. The pathetic sheep who still think that the ADL is a civil rights organization will be taken in. Those who are more thoughtful will notice that in the terrible things I am represented as saying below, there are no links. And there is a very good reason for that. If the ADL had provided links, it would be clear that I was in all cases simply passing on information from news outlets, not making up wild claims out of whole cloth, as the ADL would have you believe.
Demonstrating its commitment to fairness, honest analysis, and consequent rejection of smears and name-calling, the ADL took aim at “Islamophobe Raymond Ibrahim,” who, it claimed, wrote an “alarmist piece for FrontPage Mag, a right wing conspiratorial and Islamophobic online magazine founded by anti-Muslim activist David Horowitz. Ibrahim, who is also a fellow at the David Horowitz Freedom Center, an ultra-conservative organization that claims to combat the efforts of the ‘radical left and its Islamist allies to destroy American values,’ wrote in an April 1 post that Muslims are ‘encouraging other Muslims to come into contact with each other’ and are ‘protesting the idea of temporarily closing mosques,’ adding that Muslims believe ‘nothing associated with Islam and especially Islamic worship can get them sick.’”
The ADL never mentions, not surprisingly, that in the article in question, Ibrahim carefully notes the sources of all his statements. Every quote to which the ADL objects originates not with Ibrahim, but with Muslims in Iran, Egypt and elsewhere. So Raymond Ibrahim is evil for reporting on these statements? Apparently the ADL thinks so.
There is much more. Read the rest here.

ADL are defamatory hypocrites.
What preposterous ignoramuses … are they too lazy to read and verify the sources?
Are the ADL pollyannas unaware of the HUNDREDS of loose cannons in the Islamic clergy who are making defamatory accusations against JEWS and ISRAEL in relation to the pandemic? Almost every day, a Muslim cleric is accusing Jews of targeting Muslims with covid-19.
Robert Spencer points out how ADL ignores the meticulous documentation that Raymond Ibrahim has provided for his most demanding critics.
But the ADL hypocrites have chosen to use the SAME tactics they hate which are used against Jews, namely, NAME-CALLING and DEFAMATION.
JDL wants us to believe that … it isn’t DEFAMATION when ADL does it.
HYPOCRITES.

and why would anybody expect them to provide links? on the left, one listens to one’s betters, thinks what they say to think, and do what they say to do. such folks don’t need evidence; they only need direction.
and the hard-core left, who has indoctrinated them since their early childhoods, is more than willing to provide that direction.

ADL Calls Accurate Reporting of Muslim Responses to Coronavirus ‘Anti-Muslim Bigotry’
……………
Yes–this is ludicrous calumny.

It’s almost funny how the ADL describes FrontPage magazine as if it’s some conspiratorial magazine though it mostly addresses all things politics. The ADL has little credibility. Perhaps they want to justify their exi$tence by harassing people who point out the many downsides of Islam while many Muslims claim Islam to be something it’s really not.
I know in Canada that some Muslims have been gathering at mosques and barring that, gathering at homes as if they have to pray with others they don’t live with. I watched the video of some Muslim men, and a boy, licking the “gate” inside a shrine in Mashhad, Iran. They said Allah would keep them from getting sick. All these people hold onto the gate around the tomb and then they’re licking it. Needless to say, it sets a bad example for other religious nuts.
If a person studies Islam, and as with Robert, a very long time and written many books, that is their specialty. Books about Islam written over a century ago still hold true.
Muslims also hate Jews more than just about any large group. The ADL is doing no one any favors, especially former Muslims.
There are other warped religious people such as Christian Scientists who don’t believe in going to doctors and believe that God will magically heal them. This has led to deaths of children by avoiding the doctor until too late. But those deaths I know of weren’t epidemic diseases. So, Muslims ought to be pointed out for their own brand of religious stupidity.
The ADL is dishonest and corrupted by an anti-intellectual, political correctness and like the paid off Southern Poverty Law Center which has no integrity, is funded by people who want to discredit critics and they use all the same buzzwords and just lie and name-call. Cheap stuff. Pretty sad they’ve become so lowly in their discourse and are just bullies.

Pictured here is the libelous fool Jonathan Greenblatt, CEO of the now appalling ADL and former Obama lackey who, like virtually all Jews supporting the Democrat party, are oblivious to Islam’s theologically-based supremacism and hatred of the kuffar, with Jews being the chiefest enemies of Muslims (Qur’an 5:8) and who, as a result, have earned Allah’s especial wrath and condemnation. Citation of sources elucidating all of this, no matter how clearly presented or well-researched, will be responded to as mere bigotry. Greenblatt’s ADL, HIAS, and, sadly, too many other organizations which previously served as effective Jewish advocacy groups have become a mockery.

The ADL has reverted to childhood. What else could you call a level of timidity that allows grown men and women to us the term “Islamophobia” with a straight face. I call shame on every last one of them.

“the reports that so enraged the ADL were accurate”
Considering that phobia is defined as an an extreme or irrational fear of or aversion to something and that the reports were accurate it appears that the ADL has a phobia regarding accurate reporting. Islamophobia is a made up condition but accuraphobia is a real and documented condition for which there seems to be no known remedy.

More madness. More total retards who get up every day to smear those who tell the truth, and they never ever question themselves or ask what they’re doing with their worthless terrorist-loving lives. Jeezus wept.

Early in the Trump Administration, Greenblatt published articles in Jewish newspapers accusing Pompeo and one other prominent Republican of anti-Muslim bigotry for claiming 80% of mosques in America preached hate. I did a quick Google search at the time, which came up with 3 studies that reached this exact conclusion. (The mosques either openly preached hate or had hate literature on display,) One study had been conducted under Jewish auspices and another by a Sufi sheikh.

What The ADL wants is for the rest of us to stick our heads in the sand as to what Islam represents and that is exposing our asses to a violent political “religion” that wants to control our lives. Its all about power! You bet Islam wants your freedom of speech taken away that’s the same tactic used by every dictatorship to silence resistance. Islam will take away all civil liberties by changing the legal system to favor its agenda and if that fails to control you they will simply enslave you or murder you.

It’s time to wrap up the ADL. They’re suffering from a bad case of mission creep in going off in directions that were never envisioned by their original task of defending against antisemitism. Now, they’ve devolved into a sort of left wing, nebulous, save-the-world bunch of professional do gooders who proclaim their expertise in a wide range of subjects way outside of their wheel house. They are an embarrassment.
Scheherazade Smith says
Never forget that the ADL was formed to protect the reputation of a Jewish gentleman who had raped and murdered a non-Jewish child. That is all you need to know about the ADL. It’s not there for the general downtrodden, or for the specific protection of Jews – it is pushing a perverse and disturbing agenda all its own.

The accused was lynched by a mob, and was later exonerated by the state of Georgia. Your characterization of this case is way off base:
