“The chasm between Islam and Jahiliyyah [the society of unbelievers] is great, and a bridge is not to be built across it so that the people on the two sides may mix with each other, but only so that the people of Jahiliyyah may come over to Islam.” — Sayyid Qutb, Milestones, chapter 10. (Mother Mosque Foundation edition p. 140)
It is abundantly clear from this report that the Muslim framers of the Abu Dhabi declaration were following Qutb’s guidance and crafting a document designed to lead Catholics to Islam. Meanwhile, the Catholic partners in the dialogue had no idea that this was happening, and assumed that their partners were operating in good faith as they were. Their naivete will cost the lives of the Christians murdered in the lands of Islam while no one speaks up for them, for fear of harming the dialogue, much less lifts a finger to defend them.
“Leave them; they are blind guides. And if a blind man leads a blind man, both will fall into a pit.” (Matthew 15:14)
“Ex-Muslims Unmask Abu Dhabi ‘Deception,’” by Jules Gomes, ChurchMilitant.com, May 27, 2020:
ROME (ChurchMilitant.com) – A network of Muslim converts, who face the death penalty for apostasy from Islam, are denouncing the Abu Dhabi declaration as a “deception” for “subtle but significant differences” in the Arabic text of the document.
The ex-Muslims from the Arab world are also lamenting Cdl. Gerhard Müller’s naïveté after the orthodox prelate defended the covenant on Human Fraternity for World Peace and Living Together in the May-June issue of Communio.
Müller insists that the text focuses on “fundamental human rights” with “God as their originator and guarantor,” because “all people are born free and equal in dignity and rights” and “human rights are based on the dignity that God himself bestowed on every human being.”
In a preliminary analysis of the declaration shown to Church Militant on condition of anonymity, the Arab-speaking converts say that Cdl. Müller’s reading is not based on the “Islamic theological implications of the Arabic text,” and this reflects his inability to see through the “deception” and fall for the “fake human rights rhetoric.”
Deception in the Details
The ex-Muslims note that the “linguistic/theological dissimulation” begins in the very first sentence of the covenant: “Faith leads a believer to see in the other a brother or sister to be supported and loved (emphasis added).”
In the Arabic version, the “believer” is the “mu’min” — an Islamic term referring only to a believer in the rigid oneness of God with a rejection of the Trinity (Tawheed) and in Muhammad. Surah 24:62 states, “The believers (mu’min) are only those who believe in Allah and His Messenger … .”
Also, in the Arabic version, there is no mention of “sister” as the reference here is to the Muslim community (ummah) and not to the universal fraternity of all who believe in a generic God.
Again, while the declaration states: “In the name of God who has created all human beings equal in rights, duties and dignity, and who has called them to live together as brothers and sisters, to fill the earth,” the converts maintain that in the Arabic version “equality” is not attributed to “human beings” but refers instead to other “beings,” termed “creatures.”
In Christian anthropology, humans are created in God’s image and called to share God’s life. Both of these notions are anathema to Islam, which considers them blasphemous.“This is a critical distinction since in Islam there is no equality among human beings. Non-Muslims are not equal to Muslims, nor are women equal to men,” a convert who practiced Islamic jurisprudence in an Arab country told Church Militant.
“‘Creation’ in the Koran is different from creation in the Bible,” he said. “The term ‘God’ in English is generic, but in the Arabic version, the focus is on the Islamic God who created (a) human beings, (b) the universe and (c) other beings, termed ‘creatures’ — which, in Islam, also includes all non-human beings, i.e., animals, the jinn (supernatural spirits below the level of angels and demons), and satanic beings.”
The Sharia scholar further observes that in the Arabic version the term for “God” in the opening sentence of the declaration is Bismillah ( باسمِ الله), which excludes all other understandings of God. It also imposes the Islamic concept of Tawheed and the rule of Allah.
“The rest of the text of this quotation is based on Surah 49:13, ‘O mankind, indeed we have created you from male and female and made you peoples and tribes that you may know one another. Indeed, the most noble of you in the sight of Allah is the most pious of you … .’ Implicitly, this applies to Muslims only,” he explains.
When referring to fraternity among all human beings, the English version states: “In the name of freedom that God has given to all human beings creating them free (emphasis added) … .” But the Arabic translation of “creating them free” ( وفطَرَهُم عليها ) states that God has created them according to the fitrah.
“This fitrah is an Islamic doctrine that states that all humans are created ‘Muslims,’ i.e., the DNA of every human is Islam, as per Surah 30:30, ‘So direct your face toward the religion (Islam), inclining to truth. [Adhere to] the fitrah of Allah upon which He has created [all] mankind … .” the expert underscores….

Islam is based on the double standards of DUALISM. Islam divides humanity into full humans (Muslims) to be treated first class and sub-humans (the dirty KUFAAR) who may be abused, lied to, raped, robbed, extorted and persecuted.
– “Taqiyya is of fundamental importance in Islam. Practically every Islamic sect agrees to it and practices it … We can go so far as to say that the practice of taqiyya is mainstream in Islam, and that those few sects not practicing it diverge from the mainstream … Taqiyya is very prevalent in Islamic politics, especially in the modern era.” – Sami Mukaram, At-Taqiyya fi ‘l-Islam (London: Mu’assisat at-Turath ad-Druzi, 2004)
– “Taqiyya permeates almost all the activities and dealings of Muslims with non-Muslim societies…” – former sheikh Sam Solomon
Muslims may deceive in SIX DIFFERENT WAYS according to Sharia law:
1) taqiyya, 2) kitman, 3) tawriya, 4) taysir, 5) darura, 6) muruna
•Taqiyya (Shia) or Muda’rat (Sunni): tactical deceit for the purposes of spreading Islam.
•Kitman: deceit by omission.
•Tawriya: deceit by ambiguity.
•Taysir: deceit through facilitation (not having to observe all the tenets of Sharia).
•Darura: deceit through necessity (to engage in something “Haram” or forbidden).
•Muruna: the temporary suspension of Sharia to make Muslim migrants appear “moderate.”
If Muslims didn’t use taqiyya, it would quickly disappear.

Thanks for the expanded definition of lying in Islamic Arabic. The very fact that separate words exist for different kinds of lying strongly suggests how important the act of lying is to Muslims. Westerners generally have no idea about the vastly different ways other cultures look at lying. For instance, in my previous dealings with Chinese salesmen, I discovered that lying was viewed as a tool for personal gain and not as an obstacle to meaningful communication and it was never seen as unethical or immoral. As such they viewed Americans as gullible to the point of stupidity.
But we should really know by now that without thorough verification, a Muslim will probably lie if he thinks Muhammad would have wanted him to.

Good posts, Mortimer and DHazard.

For reference Mortimer where did you find this list? Is it in the Sharia manual: Reliance of the Traveler?
Just the knowledge that Islam deals so thoroughly with the subject of lying is astonishing in itself. We know from experience and ethics that those who deceive are not to be trusted. It is sad that a religion can think lying can ever end well for the faithful.

The furtherance of Islam is the main aim of Muslims. Taking them towards their common goal of World domination.
By the use of countless lies and deception over the millennia, they have managed to dupe and coerce non Muslims to do their bidding, often at the detriment of these poor unsuspecting souls.
Everything that Muslims do has nothing but self interest in their never ending quest for dominance over all non Muslims.
It must be remembered that one of Gods 10 commandments states ‘thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour’. It means just that! You shall not lie or deceive! Everything the Muslim is told TO do when dealing with Kuffars!
And this is despite some people claiming we share the same God. How utterly absurd! It is a dichotomy between the beliefs in every way.
They lie, they deceive! They often appear willing, understanding, compassionate and accommodating…..when it suits them. But their behaviour inevitably changes when they become the majority in any region that they’ve colonised over the years, placing their shariah stamp of conquest on their insidious achievements.
The absolute king of lies and deceit is Satan himself, and as such, I firmly believe Muslims have unknowingly become his disciples. As he is so skilled in his art of lies and deceit, even they have become suckered into believing and committing themselves to his evil plot. To separate man from God and dominate the Earth by making it his own domain……
Muslims around the world are certainly demonstrating that level of evil towards their fellow man and woman in what they do towards Christians and other faiths.
Be honest with yourself and ask the question “what ‘religion’ would truly advocate to have at its very heart the immoral unrighteous of lies, deceit, rape and murder as its virtues?”. Instead of the ‘Love, forgiveness, charity and compassion’ that most other religions demonstrate toward their fellow man?
Solomon, king of ancient Israel said: “There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death” (Proverbs 14:12; Proverbs 16:25). This I fear is Islam.
Even Jesus’s last words “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do …..” may also apply to Muslims too. It certainly could in so very many ways.

This apostasy of Popes, Patriarchs, and increasingly paganized so-called “Protestants” (whose beliefs would be abominated by Luther and Calvin) is why Evangelicals (especially those of Reformed Confession) need to step up and play the adult.
We are people of the Gospel (Evangel) more than people of the organization: “having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever….Now this is the word which by the gospel was preached to you.” (I Pt. 1:23-25). The Gospel is about Christ, who claims to be the Way, Truth, and Life (Jn. 14:6). If God has become man and has dwelt among us in Jesus Christ, there can be no further revelation. Hence, Scripture closes with the Revelation of John; a new Scripture, whether Islamic or Mormon, is impossible. We cannot pretend that Muslims, who deny that Christ made an atonement and that his being “taken up” was following a real resurrection of body and soul, are on the same path. We cannot say they are on the same path when the Qur’an misrepresents Christians as worshipers of Mary.
We are humbled and grateful that God, surprising us all, has opened the hearts of Muslims to turn them to the Messiah presented in the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments. We pray for more of this, and that such people would continue to grow in the grace which God has poured out in Jesus the Messiah. As an Evangelical, I would encourage those ex-Muslims in the RC Church to further search and meditate on the Scriptures and to know they will be welcomed with deepest sympathy in our circles.
We pray as well that God would continue to apply the benefits of Christ’s work through the outpouring of the Holy Spirit worldwide, including the revival and reformation of churches across the Western world and the planting of his church across Africa and Asia.

So … all human beings are born into this world as slaves of the Evil One but become the adopted children of God once they have been baptized in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. This is per the words of Jesus of Nazareth, the Messiah, the Christ, our Lord and our Redeemer. Christians accept this, Muslims deny it. No amount of talking about it will change whether it is true or it is not. It is a matter of faith.

I can’t believe the Pope stands up for Islam – as though he doesn’t have a clue what the books are about.
Maybe it’s a strategy, maybe to stop Islam from burning churches and murdering and raping Christians everywhere, every day.
Does he know what their books say was the answer that the Burning Bush gave Moses when Moses asked “Who should I say has sent me?”
They robbed the world of the most powerful description of God’s unique position, which had pointed us right to Him – but now exchanging it for “the impersonal god force”, the old big rock god of the Quresh tribe.

The Latin Church’s fate was sealed and eventually destined to fall to Islamic conquest in 1054 AD with the Schism, it’s just taken all this time for the imposing Petrifact (rotten on the inside) to collapse externally as it is now. Being brought up Roman Catholic (I have been for many, many years now completely non-religious though I am not an atheist), I don’t think there was anything truly wrong with the Catholic Church as an institution promoting solid values until the great disaster of Vatican II (1962-1965) which unleashed forces of modernism that have had an extremely destructive effect, which the two previous Popes tried to reverse but were unable to. Of course now, Francis represents in a way the end product of what was unleashed by Vatican II. He remains a personal disaster in the making.
The Council of Trent (1545-1563) cleaned up the mess which the Avignonese period of the papacy (1309-1378), the Great Schism (1378-1417) and the Renaissance period created and from the mid-16th century to the mid-20th century the Catholic Church pretty much had its act together. No longer. Damn shame because the Catholic Church at its finest and strongest is a bulwark supporting many great values and it adapted well eventually to democratic initiatives in the governmental sector after some resistance (from Leo XIII’s papacy {1878-1903} onward). Roman Catholicism also promoted education and medical care quite effectively for generations and this too is to its credit, though Catholic education anymore, like Catholicism in general, just isn’t what it used to be. As for much of the medieval period, Catholicism was a force for civilization in general and in the fields of learning and art was often superb.

We should love our Muslim neighbors. When Jesus was faced with the question of “Who is my neighbor”, he gave us the parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:25ff), in which an injured man’s “neighbor” is a Samaritan, a “them” to Jesus’ first century Judaean hearers. The best we can give, though, is the Gospel of salvation; not a pretense or piece of wishful thinking that we’re supposedly all walking the same path.
Wellington says
“We should love our Muslim neighbors.”
Sorry, Kepha, can’t go there. In fact, there are a hell of a lot of people I have no interest in loving. Guess this is one of many reasons why I am not a Christian. There’s a large part of humanity for whom I have no love or ever will, for instance as another example the rioters in sundry American cities this very night destroying property and who despise America. And how about the thugs who make up the Chinese Communist Party (CCP)? Care to love them, starting with Xi? Count me out.
Vladimir says
Christianity is about loving one’s enemies, true, but that doesn’t extend to love for God’s direct enemies, and/or of one’s people and nation, bent people bent on conquest and destruction of both Christian religion and national existence. I pray more moslems question and use the mind God gave them,…listen to people like David Wood and Apostate Prohet and many others who know both Islam and Christianity and who can show them, where and how Islam has gone so horribly wrong .
And I’d protect any Moslem who became a Christian.
And I do pray that more moslems see the truth that Islam is wrong and evil, and that they leave Islam for their souls sake ….But I can’t love them….but I know God does. They are His children too.
James Lincoln says
Wellington,
I found a passage in the New Testament that emphasizes abhorring that which is evil, which – I believe – would include islam and its followers:
King James Bible. Romans 12:9
“Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good.”
Wellington says
Thanks, James. Well, if you are to abhor what is evil than you must abhor a great many people, for instance the Mexican drug gangs and MS 13 members. So, how does this square with loving thy neighbor?
Built into Christianity, which as you know I think an infinitely superior religion to Islam and how great for the world it would be if every Muslim woke up tomorrow a devout Christian, are contradictions that are deuce difficult to reconcile. There are definitely pacifist and socialistic elements in the New Testament and this is why Christian thinkers through the centuries have struggled to justify war and capitalism. They’ve manged to do so but just barely.
Moreover, there are simply some directives in the Christian theological blueprint that I have to disagree with. For instance, Jesus’s statement in the Sermon on the Mount in Matthew that the meek are blessed. Why? I can see having some sympathy for meek individuals, but looking upon them as blessed just doesn’t register with me.
BTW, and being the medical doctor that you are, I would like to ask you something that I thought of decades ago and it intrigues me to this day, to wit, what was Jesus’s chromosomal make-up? If Jesus is, per the Nicene Creed, two natures in one person, fully human and fully divine, and born of a virgin, then what was the constitution of his chromosomes, the 46 we humans have except for the 23 gametes? Not trying to trip you up here; I just think this is an interesting Christological query.
Hope you are well today. America sure isn’t today.
CogitoErgoSum says
Wellington, here is something I found that goes along with your question on the DNA of Jesus. Of course, the answer is there is no way to find out. But, on a similar note, what about cloning? It’s been done in animals using the DNA of only one parent – although the clone would be an identical copy. However, there is probably a way to insert an X chromosome in place of a Y and to change the clone’s sex. If it can be done, I have a feeling it will be done at some point in the future.

Sorry, I forgot the link to a video I found on this, though I think you will not particularly like it and I notice the priest fails to mention miracles other than the Shroud of Turin. Catholics are not required to believe in such miracles anyway.

Wellington,
Thank you for your reply. I am certainly NOT a Christian theologian, but I’ll give it my best shot. I fully understand that your take may be different, and I respect that.
Yes, I absolutely abhor all that is evil. That certainly includes Mexican drug gangs and MS 13 members. They should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. I love my neighbors who are not evil. How do I square this? I pray for the evildoers, that they may repent and change, even – in some instances – as they await capital punishment.
As far as meek, Merriam-Webster has their definition:
Definition of meek
1: enduring injury with patience and without resentment : MILD a meek child dominated by his brothers
2: deficient in spirit and courage : SUBMISSIVE “I don’t care,” came the meek reply
3: not violent or strong : MODERATE his delivery varied from a meek, melodic patter to rapid-fire scriptural allusions
https://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/meek
I think that biblically, it has a somewhat different meaning. The definition that seems to fit for me is from desiringgod.org:
“A Portrait of the Meek
1. They Trust in God
2. They Commit Their Way to God.
3. They Are Quiet Before God and Wait for Him
4. They Don’t Fret over the Wicked”
https://www.desiringgod.org/messages/blessed-are-the-meek#a-portrait-of-the-meek
As for Jesus’s chromosomal makeup, my take is this:
Jesus was fully human and fully divine; He was a divine person with a fully human, fully divine nature.
Assuming that 23 of Jesus’ chromosomes came from Mary (i.e. in the haploid ovum), and Jesus was a healthy Homo sapiens sapiens, then the other 23 would have been supplied by God.
As I have said before to Frank Anderson, there are some things that we may never be able to fully understand – about others or “life” in general.
I am fully informed about what’s going on in the United States and, yes, the country is not well.
That being said, I try to personally stay well – and to be there for family and friends.
Throughout the pandemic, I have maintained my personal/financial/spiritual health, although it has been a challenge. Before my health club shut down, I was swimming at least six days a week – now I am swimming in chilly lake water that barely reaches 70°. I get at least 10 minutes per day of full sun exposure to increase my natural vitamin D thus improving my immune system.
Hope you and yours are well – stay healthy, enjoy a beer, grill some pork ribs, and listen a Fifth of Beethoven…

Well said Wellington! As regards the rioters, it would seem certain ‘Americans’ need more ‘stuff’, and hey, any excuse. There was no need to kill Floyd though….
Wellington says
Peter35: Yes, the Floyd death is inexcusable, and Chauvin is (was) a bad cop, but if the final autopsy report comes in that he did not die from asphyxiation (and the initial autopsy report has asserted this), then I believe there can be no murder charge, “only” a manslaughter one—and then all hell will break loose again.
As for the rioters, they demonstrate what a thin veneer civilization is. Forces of anti-civilization are always present and ready to destroy civilization if the opportunity presents itself. It has presented itself in America in May of what so far is a very terrible year. I will, I believe, not look upon 2020 with any fondness. I look forward already to 2021 which I hope will be a better year. Better be.
You know, Peter35, Mark Twain in his earlier years was bitter about humanity but by his late age the bitterness had faded and he was left with only sorrow at how pathetic the human species is. While duly noting that there are great human beings and there are wonderful things in the world like love and honor, I in my old age (68) feel much like Twain did in his. And I don’t think the cosmos gives a damn about us at all. We’re a fluke.

All of these ecumenical ”dialogues” in my opinion are little more than feel-good hippie love sessions which only create religious indifference to the actual Truth and promote an eventual one-world religion. Some Westerners are incredibly naive, and allow themselves to be easily deceived, especially when it comes to Islam. And it would appear that the Pope is one of them.
There is indeed “deception in the details” of the Abu Dhabi Declaration – and the Pope does not seem to understand that he is being used by the mullahs to further the cause of Islam.
Quran verse 30:30 is one of the bases for the Islamic doctrine of Fitrah – or ‘natural belief’ in the one god Allah, and Muhammad as his messenger, and that all humans are born Muslims. Some other verses supporting this doctrine are:
“There is no deity except Allah … and indeed, the religion in the sight of Allah is Islam”. (Q 3:18-19).
“And who is better in religion than one who submits himself to Allah”. (Q 4:125).
“Indeed, Abraham was an upright leader, obedient to Allah and inclining toward truth (a Muslim), and he was not of those who associate others with Allah (Christians).” (Q 16:120).
The purpose of interfaith dialogue – as far as Muslims are concerned – is to lul westerners into a false sense of security – to deceive them into believing that Islam is a ‘religion of peace’.
