This attack could have perpetrated by militant atheists, angry ex-Catholics, any number of people. But such people have been in France for years, and there have not been incidents of this kind. However, France has seen a large influx of Muslim migrants in recent years, many of whom believe that it is an insult to Allah to say that Jesus is the Son of God (cf. Qur’an 19:35), and that Jesus died on the cross (which the Qur’an also denies at 4:157). Could it be possible that Muslim migrants are behind this? Or would that be “Islamophobic” even to consider?
“Vandals Cut Down Monumental Iron Cross in France,” by Thomas D. Williams, Breitbart, May 14, 2020:
Vandals have cut down the iconic iron cross surmounting the summit of Pic Saint-Loup in southern France, hewing through the vertical beam one meter above the base.
The 30-foot high iron cross, erected in 1911 to replace a previous wooden cross, is an important symbol of the Hérault department and the entire Languedoc region, and could be seen from miles around. It was discovered toppled on Monday and the vandals are still at large.
“It is an emblematic place for the inhabitants of Hérault and the whole Montpellier basin because it is visible from everywhere,” said Father Michel Plagniol, rector of the Saint-Pierre cathedral in Montpellier. “We can see it from the coastal plain of Montpellier. Many people go there for a walk and climb the peak.”
Pic Saint-Loup extends over six kilometres and spans the municipalities of Cazevieille, Mas-de-Londres, Saint-Jean-de-Cuculles, Valfaunès and Saint-Mathieu-de-Tréviers.
The 2,000 lb (900 kg) iron cross stood atop the Saint-Loup peak, 628 meters above sea level. The vandals who cut the cross down also covered its base in graffiti….
French churches and other Christian monuments have come increasingly under attack, with an average of nearly three churches per day targeted for vandalism over the past three years.

How’s that investigation into the fire at Notre Dame Cathedral coming along?

Probably as well as the investigation into this attack
Will go

Don’t worry Monsieur.

Results will show it didn’t have anything to do with islam….as that is impossible:islam is the religion of peace.

Maybe Paul Newman did it ? ( Remember the parking meters in ” Cool Hand Luke ” ) ?

If an American Conservative was suspected of the fire, they would have their top ” Clouseau’s ” on it ?

How much Dash is being paid to obscure it?
Keys says
Exactly, Andrew McKendrick.
“Dash” is an open source cryptocurrency with a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) run by a subset of its users called “masternodes” who are anonymous. The currency permits transactions that can be untraceable.

mortimer and others have often posted and documented here at JW about the use of “bribes” in Islam.
Of course bribes take many forms like giving media people huge salaries to stick to the given news agenda; like giving religious organizations lots of money to settle refugees; like giving NGO executives huge salaries to promote the agenda; like given Universities huge grants for favors; like contributing cash to political candidates and their Foundations (clintonfoundation.org ); etc.; etc.; etc.
On the other hand, there is the punishment “weapon”. Islam uses both, bribes and punishments to promote their lust for power – Jihad for Allah.
Mohammadans have been “community organizing” for centuries.

Why does the West continually insist on importing revolution? How brainwashed are they – don’t they know anything about Nations States and their survival and downfall? Read some history humanity has never changed libtard!

? Elected officials push (help the poor, feel for them, sooth the angered, all to show the heavenly superior–ism of the new inlightened European — even though the bullshit backfired, so that to save face the new left pretend to not notice) for votes the elected will continue the farce. And the unelected officials are aware that they have a good money paying job with the added feeling of power, though temporary ( given to them by the rich who get more money from pro-muslim pussies who get more money from oil muslims and Sicky billionaires. Etc etc around and around And the European people have noticed!!! The Revolution is not looking so good.

What did they have to say?

Great question. I’d like to know the answer.

By the way: did anybody ever hear anything about that low quality video of two suspects moving around and some two short lightnings occuring on the roof before that desaster started at Notre Dame?
gravenimage says
Are you referring to the shots of firefighters on the roof?
CogitoErgoSum says
The video is still on YouTube. One of the commenters says the flashes were from a camera but I’ve never seen anything official about that. If anyone has a link to the official investigation report concerning this please let me know.

CogitoErgoSum says
Thanks, graven. So the official determination is that the flashes were caused by workers taking pictures? It would be interesting to see the pictures and to know why it was important for the employees to take them. That part of the roof seems like an unusual place to require a picture be taken of it. However, I don’t really expect any further explanation except that it was part of the repair work being done. Nothing the French authorities say about the fire would surprise me … even if they were to say the repair work was being done by the Ali Akbar and Sons church renovation company.
gravenimage says
CogitoErgoSum, I am not saying that all of these explanations are necessarily the last word–just they they have indeed been addressed.
I do think if this had been Jihad that the “religion of peace” probably would have claimed responsibility, though. Sadly, sometimes construction site accidents are just that, tragic as this was.
I just hope the rebuilding will be properly historical.

Saude Arabia is afriad of iran, so perpetrators will remain undercover. As long a USA protects SA, the perps of the big jihads won’t take credit.
Graven
Isn’t it ODD that no credit was taken for such a massive hurt to the church historical monuments. Even if it was an accident– I don’t believe it. Something smells in Europe, and it’s rotten to the core, and USA will be right behind them.
We need more Trumps. 4years isn’t enough to save a sick world.

Islam is not compatible with the values or traditions of France. The citizens of a country have a right to choose and support their own culture.
Marine LePen has been waiting for the French to wake up. What finally will it take for them to understand what is happening?
Rufolino says
Whenever (and iif) the French wake up, it seems probable that civil strife (or civil war) will not be avoided.
It is already probably too late to avoid this outcome. Also true of other European nations.

Dear Mortimer- I remember the quote of a section manager back in 1982 when I was working for Fireman’s Fund Insurance company/Ocean Marine Dept. in NYC, I asked him about his vacation to France. He replied: “France is a beautiful country no matter where in France you go. But the French hate everyone, themselves most of all.”
I ponder his statement to this day, but have not been able to get any conclusive answers as to why the French hate themselves, or anyone else for that matter. I guess self-loathing is the answer, with no
understanding of why.

That vandalism occurs, regardless of the motivation, is a fact. There always will be people who see structures and buildings from the past, who do not appreciate what it stands for or who built it. And yes, Islamic hordes are among those who perpetrate such deeds.
But the bigger question in my mind is that, following the prosecution, what will the French government, media, and people do about it? Will they leave the ruins as they are? Or will they build them back?
