A culture of violence, the foundational text of which commands men to beat women from whom they “fear disobedience” (Qur’an 4:34), is going to give rise to this sort of thing, just as that same foundational text’s calls for violence against unbelievers (2:191, 4:89, 9:5, 9:29, 47:4, etc.) are going to give rise to jihad violence.
“Afghan (32) kills woman in the middle of the street,” translated from “Afghane (32) tötet Frau auf offener Straße,” Wochenblick, May 18, 2020 (thanks to Medforth Blog):
Terrible scenes took place in Cottbus during the night. An Afghan (32) killed his wife (28) in the middle of the street. Witnesses observed how the man “acted with massive violence” on the mother of his three children.
The deed took place on a sidewalk in the middle of a housing estate on Sunday night. At 7.30pm, eyewitnesses alerted the police. They are said to have observed how the 32-year-old “acted with massive violence” on his wife, who was also from Afghanistan.
advertisingKilled with his bare hands?
Gruesome suspicion: did the Afghan kill his wife with his bare hands? For the time being, the police have kept a low profile on the question of the murder weapon. It is not yet possible to say whether a knife was involved.
His wife had 3 children
Any help came too late for the mother of three. She died at the scene. The children, aged 3, 6 and 10, are now under the care of the youth welfare office.

Hope the “youth welfare office” people don’t give the kids over to some other moslim. They need to be freed completely from this evil that told this beast that he had a “right” to murder their mother.
And the authorities should hang him high as an example to other moslims who believe they can murder and get away without punishment. It would also prevent this monster from doing further harm.

The problem is not what Muslims are doing, the problem is that most of the people refuse to accept this horrible reality of Islam despite their proven track record. It’s horrible how a lot of people still don’t want to condemn such things and oppose Muslims entry to their countries just because they don’t want to be known as Islamophobes. I would anyday prefer to be known as an Islamophobe or a racist(even if that is not applicable here) instead of losing my life.

Then, theoretically, you are a slave-owner.
It would be awfully kind not to reduce a country with an over 2thousand-year history to a period of 12 years. It would also be recommendable to start sweeping in front of one’s own doors, e.g. black slavery, first nations genocide, Japanese concentration camps in the US, unprovoked wars started on the soil of sovereign nations etc. etc.
Are you aware what your o so civilized country did to First Nation families, women children? Handing out smallpocks infected blankets? Just for starters? Selling children of black parents for over 400 years just for a cheap dollar?
This indignation has a hue of hyprocrisy and good dose of unjustified self-righteousness
There were reparations paid and new directions taken. Don’t you think it is enough at some point? I think so. Whom did you pay reparations to?
And BTW: The US greatly benefitted from the Nazis. Without them, there would never have been any nuclear bombs to drop on Japan, plus the scientists and the 80 000 patents that were forced to work for the US as booty.
I am not very proud of my nation having contributed to that US crime in Japan. But after all, it still helped the US to win their war, didn’t it?
Even the German concentration camp (copied from British concentration camp) methods were tested and applied in Abu Ghraib, of which, again, I am not very proud either.

While I agree with you on some points, Chrissie01, the idea that the US *benefited* from losing over 400,000 of her citizens to fight the Fascists is just grotesque.
Do you *really* think that your nation was better under Hitler?
And while the US does indeed have some things to be ashamed of in her history, deliberately handing out smallpox blankets is not one of them. This is a canard. Then the United States fought a bloody war to *free the slaves*. Did you somehow miss that?
And you thinking that Japan was better under Fascism enslaving Chinese and Koreans instead of dealing with “US crime” is bizarre. A free Japan has, in fact, *flourished* after 1945.
And comparing Abu Graib to the Nazi death camps is just sick.

Good and accurate reply, gravenimage. I always know when the complete falsehood of blankets infected with smallpox handed out to American Indians is treated as truth (which has its basis, as I know you know, in colonial times before America became independent in a letter from one British officer to another mentioning the possibility of doing such and which was NEVER acted upon), the rest that such a person may aver must also be carefully scrutinized.
As examples, 1) this person, Chrissie 01,attributes way too much to German scientists for the creation of the atomic bomb—yes, certain German scientists pre-WWII made important advances in nuclear physics but so did many others, including Americans, British, Hungarians and Italians; and 2) the dropping of the atomic bombs on Hiroshima and Nagasaki shortened the war by as much as 15 months and far more lives were saved than would have been the case had the Japanese islands been invaded—the conservative figures proved by George Marshall and his associates was at least one million Japanese dead and 100,000 American soldiers killed. Moreover, far more Japanese civilians died from conventional bombing than from the two atomic bombs.

I would like to make one thing clear:
No, I do not think that Germany would be better under the Nazis. By no means. Of course not.
I do not advocate any sort of genocide or cruelty. I do not advocate stealing from other nations. To make that clear.
I do understand that I am writing with great American patriots. Any decent person is one. That is why I am here. But please understand that history was written (and often forged) by the winners. So – from the outside – I see a country where the indigenous population is gone and with a century-long history of slavery. That leads to conclusions.
And being German and having to face and acknowledge a grim past of my own nation, I think I can expect the same from the others, and no whitewashing.

BTW: “Romanians” are also swamping our country by the tens of thousands – fraudulently collecting welfare from us by lies and forgery, never having worked a single day in their lives and not intending to, either. Are you one of these “Romanians”? Then I am not surprised about your answer.
Wellington says
Chrissie01: I wrote you a very long reply which did not post and so I will be brief in my second attempt. First, there are more American Indians in America than when Columbus arrived and they have huge reservations to live on and all kinds of opportunities, including educational scholarships. Second, every part of the world had slavery but it was the West that first realized it was wrong and took measures to end it. America fought a brutal civil war in part to end slavery.
Something else: Indians were brutal to one another (and to whites). They enslaved one another and used all kinds of torture (e.g., the Algonquin and Huron when taken as captive would be skinned alive inch by inch by the other tribe). Aztecs engaged in human sacrifice with the children of other tribes and their priests wore capes made out of human skin. The Five Civilized Tribes in what is now Oklahoma sided with the Confederacy in order to preserve their black slave system. The last Confederate General to surrender to Union troops was General Stand Watie, a Cherokee chieftain. And free blacks owned black slaves. The 1830 census showed that some 4,000 free blacks owned some 13,000 black slaves, especially in North and South Carolina.
This is just in brief what I wrote before and I hope it posts. I wish Germany well but I do think it important to study the past in the quest for truth and not in the promotion of an agenda, which too often happens these days.
Clio says
Chrissie01, As some have already pointed out many of your historical facts about America are incorrect. However your main point is sound. You do not assign collective guilt to anyone for any thing. You also do not damn an entire people’s beautiful culture and largely good history of thousands of years, documented for thousands of years, because of the aberration of little more than one decade. Are we to erase all of Germany’s past; the art, architecture, engineering, philosophy, theology, cinematography, all of it? No. Germany has a beautiful history of all of these things and no one should try to consign it to the dustbin of history. All people of good will and sound mind should know this. If after the first World War the world leaders had followed the example of Abraham Lincoln after the American Civil War and pardoned everyone, NAZIsm may never even have arisen.
Chrissie01 says
@wellington
thanks for your reply and taking the time…
I understand that you are a patriot and that is why I appreciate being here. I also understand that each one of us loves and defends his/her country and wants to see it in the best light. Unfortunately, so much of related history is not true. There would be a lot of things to say about the First Nations (and if the cruelty of an indigenous population justifies driving them from their land) and black slavery. Also I didn’t accuse whites of being slave owners, I just said that slavery was legal and common in the US for several hundred years, regardless by whom.
I will refrain from relativating historical events, because each one of us obviously has his or her version of it. I am just saying that – unfortunately and to the great detriment of today’s world – there are so many layers of lies told on the grounds of vested interests that hardly anyone can claim to know the truth.
The only thing all our nations seems to have a fair share of is a breath-taking amount of cruelty against humans and animals.
Let’s try to get out of this or at least some of it by resolving to defend our countries against this pestilence that is Islam, the most bigoted version of atrocity known in history.
Wellington says
Well, Chrissie01, I do hope you realize that non-whites engaged in the same abominations as did whites. In sub-Saharan Africa, one tribe regularly enslaved another—and what difference does it make if you are enslaved because you are considered to belong to the wrong race, wrong tribe, wrong ethnicity, or wrong gender? Slavery is slavery.
Also, don’t know exactly what you mean by the “First Nations.” Could these be Western nations that explored liberty as no other civilizations have and have also apologized for wrongdoings as no other civilizations have? Perhaps you should consider reading “Why the West is Best” by a non-Westerner, Ibn Warraq.
Every corner of the world is responsible for atrocities and the monstrosity which is slavery. But it seems only Western Civilization is held accountable for this. This smacks of rank hypocrisy and a pure double standard. And so tired of the “indigenous population” excuse—and this is what it is. Please, it is way past due to go beyond this tired old point which is just another way of blaming Western Civilization without blaming anyone else. BTW, the principle reason why American Indian tribes perished in great numbers is not due to “conquest activities” by Westerners but rather because American Indians had no immunity to diseases Westerners brought to the New World, including the common cold which was nothing more than a mild annoyance to Westerners but quite lethal to Indians.
At least I hope you realize that the “smallpox infected blankets” accusation has NO basis whatsoever respecting what occurred in America. Also, don’t forget what I stated earlier and that is that the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki tremendously shortened WWII and if these bombs had not been used far, far more people would have died.
You seem like a good person who wants to get at the truth (and your English is excellent I might add since I assume you are German), but so many of the criticisms you have stated on this thread are tired, old falsehoods.
Time is way overdue to quit blaming the West while blaming no one else. Way, way overdue. Indeed, this self-flagellation by the West is highly destructive and it effectively absolves malevolence by the non-West, most certainly the Islamic sphere or mankind. Yes, why is the Islamic world never blamed by Western elites for all its many wrongs? Enough already.
And I also think that truth can be ascertained nine times out of ten with proper effort. I don’t buy into relative truth. There is such a thing as absolute truth and I state this as the completely non-religious person that I am.
Thank you for your input on this thread. Best to you and yours you hold most dear.

No, the indigenous population is *not* gone. There are many Native Americans today, and while no estimate is certain, the population today is likely as large or larger than it was before Columbus. My own city of Oakland, California has the highest Native American population of any American city.

The idea that Americans do not acknowledge wrongs done to Native Americans or the wrong of slavery is just silly. This is an ongoing part of the conversation in the United States.

Good posts, Wellington.
One point: “First Nations” is just another term for “Native Americans” or “Indians”. It is most often used in Canada.
Wellington says
Thank you, gravenimage, for letting me know what “First Nations” means (thought it might mean First World versus Second World versus Third World). Did not know the term (so hard to keep up with terms which seem to proliferate at a rapid rate anymore). In any case, it’s a silly term because American Indians did not have nations per se. Some empires perhaps like that of the Aztecs and Incas but there were no nation states developed by American Indians. The Age of Nonsense marches on.

Wellington, I’m not saying I agree with the premise behind the term–just pointing out its use.

ploome, your idea that Germans deserve to be murdered by Muslims because of their nation’s Nazi past is appalling. *Very* few Germans alive today had anything at all to do with that past, and none as engineers of it.
As Chrissie01 notes, this is much the same as considering all Americans to be responsible for slavery–even those whose ancestors were not here during that period, or whose forefathers fought to end slavery.
And how does the situation in Europe today support your assertion, in any case? Why then are Muslims also attacking peoples who were neutral during WWII–the Swiss and the Swedes–or who were victims of the Nazis–the Dutch, the Danes–or even those who bravely opposed the Fascists, like the British?
The truth is that Muslims attacking Germans and Austrians has *nothing* to do with some sort of “justice” against the children and grandchildren of Nazis, but just against *any* Infidels, Westerners most of all.
And if you think that an Islamic Europe would be better than the Europe of today, you are *much* mistaken.

ploome, There were many people murdered by NAZIs in death camps, 6 million were Jewish and 7 million were Christian. Why do you only care about the Jewish ones? Is that not the very definition of supremacism? Do you see how ironic your comment is?
ploome says
I didn’t know the Germans identified the Christian population living in towns, and collected them, and transported these Christians to concentration camps where the children and old people were separated from the young and healthy, and sent to a gas chamber and crematoria.
The Germans targeted Jews because of who they were-did the Germans target Christians because they were Christian?
Do you see how profoundly ignorant and self serving your accusation of supremacism is and how it allows you to continue in denial and blaming Jews?
Both you and Chrissie are the result of Holocaust education..pahetic and self serving.
Antisemites and Jew haters like you, who massage and deny reality, manage to rationalize as you and Chrissie do here, to avoid the true magnitude of the crimes of the German people and, in fact Europe where the oh so cultured population aided and abetted the targeting and deliberate targeting and slaughter of the Jews.
Clio says
Ploom Yes Christians were targeted specifically. In particular Jehovah’s Witnesses, Evangelical Christians and Polish Catholics (more than 1 million from that particular group and yes it was because they were considered racially inferior.) Hitler was baptized a Catholic at his birth and that is where his willing connection to Catholicism ended. He hated it, and once openly stated that he wished Islam and not Christianity had taken root in Germany. He would likely have approved of the saying that Lebanese Jihadis use today when broadcasting their murderous intents; “First the Saturday people and then the Sunday people.”
Also I was merely pointing out the irony of your blaming a modern day German for the actions of NAZIS against Jews 80 years ago when you clearly left out any mention of victims who weren’t Jewish. “Never Again” HAS to mean never again for anyone or it will most definitely happen again, and no one or group of people deserves that.

A long time ago the British were having trouble from Muslims. They found an effective way to quiet the Muslims down. They caught a bunch of Muslims who had been committing some violent acts. They tied them all up and put them in front of a firing squad – all but one of them, that is. They then dipped their bullets in pig’s blood, and executed the perpetrators of the violence. The one Muslim that they didn’t tie up ran away and spread the word far and wide that his friends were executed with pig’s blood. Muslim violence in that area quit happening after that.
mortimer says
Jim, that is a preposterous myth. It was originally told about the highly ethical General Pershing. That myth is thoroughly disproved. British and American officers would almost universally reject such provocative ideas. Any officer who did that would be court-martialed.

This seems like a very reasonable thing to do, and I’m quite sure it would deter terrorism, IF we had the backbone to actually do it.
