No one who gave Muhammad Masood his work visa, and no one at the Mayo Clinic, would have dared inquire about his thoughts regarding jihad, infidels, Sharia, etc. That would have been “Islamophobic.”
“Fmr. Mayo Clinic Researcher Muhammad Masood Indicted On Terrorism Charge,” AP, May 15, 2020 (thanks to the Geller Report):
MINNEAPOLIS (AP) — A Pakistani doctor and former Mayo Clinic researcher has been indicted on one count of attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization after authorities say he told paid FBI informants that he pledged allegiance to the Islamic State group and wanted to carry out lone wolf attacks in the U.S.
The indictment against Muhammad Masood, 28, was announced Friday by U.S. Attorney Erica MacDonald….
Prosecutors say Masood was in the U.S. on a work visa. They allege in court documents that from January to March, Masood made several statements to paid informants — whom he believed were members of the Islamic State group — pledging his allegiance to the group and its leader. He also expressed a desire to travel to Syria to fight for IS and carry out lone wolf attacks in the U.S., they said.
Masood messaged an informant “there is so much I wanted to do here .. .lon wulf stuff you know … but I realized I should be on the ground helping brothers sisters kids,” according to an FBI affidavit.
Prosecutors say Masood planned to leave for Amman, Jordan, and go on to Syria at the end of March, but on March 16 he had to change his travel plans because Jordan closed its borders due to the coronavirus pandemic. Masood and one of the informants then developed a plan for him to fly from Minneapolis to Los Angeles to meet with that informant, whom Masood believed would help him travel in a cargo ship into Islamic State territory….
Court documents do not name the clinic where Masood worked. The Mayo Clinic has confirmed that Masood formerly worked at the medical center, but said he was not employed there when he was arrested. According to an affidavit supporting the criminal complaint, Masood said in February that he was going to notify his employer that his last day of work would be March 17.
The affidavit said the FBI began investigating in January, after learning that someone, later determined to be Masood, had posted messages on an encrypted social media platform indicating an intent to support IS.
On Jan. 24, Masood contacted one of the informants on the encrypted platform and said he was a medical doctor with a Pakistani passport and wanted to travel to Syria, Iraq or northern Iran near Afghanistan “to fight on the front line as well as help the wounded brothers,” the affidavit said….

Off-topic – but how does anyone with such a poor grasp of English that they spell “lone wolf” as “lon wulf” manage to gain employment at the Mayo Clinic ? Just how valid are his qualifications ? anyone who’s prepared to turn to terrorism is hardly likely to have been overly-scrupulous about how they obtained their certificates: The Mayo Clinic should be checking the validity of his qualifications and the standard of treatment he provided, as a matter of urgency.

Good question, Phil. Even aside from the issue of terrorism and deliberately trying to harm Infidel patients, just the poor academic standards in places like Pakistan should be a factor.

“…just the poor academic standards in places like Pakistan should be a factor.”
Absolutely true.
As I’ve said before, stay away from muslim physicians.

The Pakistanis will dispute that as extreme prejudice. I used to have a workplace colleague from that country – a 25-year old Muslim doctor who graduated at 19. He was an immigrant employee in a multinational electrical distributorship.
When challenged on the validity of his medical qualifications he insisted that the Pak. Education system is much more advanced and focused than that of the Commonwealth Countries.
They do not waste time on irrelevant knowledge it would seem – thought I`d heard that somewhere but just couldn`t put my finger on it at the time.

Hilarious claim, Katherine.

The Mayo Clinic itself should be investigated : who or what is the islamo-panderer of a personnel manager that decided to employ him. After all this `medical` institution is too good at cosmetic procedures to alter the ID features of anyone who pays enough for its services.
Remember the case of the FBI and the CIA hiding the identity and records of Mubarak Hussain Soetero from the public to ensure he got elected as President.

Minnesota: Muslim former Mayo Clinic researcher indicted on terrorism charge
………………..
This does not surprise. There was also a Muslim doctor at the Mayo Clinic who was pushing FGM. It was a poster at Jihad Watch, CGW, who led the petition to get him fired.
commonsense says
That the jihadi here is a former researcher at the Mayo clinic and possibly possessing credentials to qualify as a physician in Pakistan once again belies the assertion that terrorism is motivated by poverty and lack of economic opportunity.
mortimer says
Terrorism-supporters like Muhammad Masood debunk the general theory of Leftards that claims jihadists are frustrated youths who just want a good job.
About 15% of all Muslims are terrorism-supporters, while less than 1% are actual jihadist-wannabes.
Muhammad Masood understands Islam as a terrorist ideology.
mortimer says
One out of six Muslims is a terrorism-supporter and it is almost impossible to visually pick out which it is. It’s Muslim roulette. Add to this ‘roulette’ the teaching of TAQIYYA and we can never trust anything a Muslim says.
Former sheikh Sam Solomon says from his personal experience: “Taqiyya permeates almost all the activities and dealings of Muslims with non-Muslim societies…”
SteChatte says
So the moral of this story is: NEVER go to the Mayo Clinic!

Why should we have to abandon one of our finest medical institutions to Mohammedans?
OLD GUY says
WHY do our politicians continue the idea that bringing these islamic people into America is good for us, when it is plain as hell that Islam will never be a fit with western ideals and freedoms. All these islamic/muslims want todo is change our lifestyle to their Islamic view of the world and lifestyle. If they do not like what we believe or find our freedoms to much to handle go home or where you feel comfortable, I personally won’t bother you or attempt to change your views so leave mine alone.

The typical screener for the government is overpaid, not educated for the task, regurgitates from a standard question list, conducts a rapid cursory interview, and cares only to punch their timecard. They even laugh while jokingly asking the subject if he’s a terrorist. Actually discussing what the subject thought or felt about jihad, infidels, Sharia, the United States, or our involvement in the Middle East would require more time in the interview & accompanying paperwork. They dont care to hear the answer. They want to punch their timecard and go home all while still believing they are doing a service for the country. After all, he said he wasn’t a terrorist and they have that written in their report.
