The PLO went to the right place for sympathy:
“In January 2017, Pope Francis received Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the Vatican for a formal inauguration of the first Embassy of the State of Palestine to the Holy See.
The new Palestinian embassy, said Abbas, “is a sign that the Pope loves the Palestinian people and peace.” The Vatican recognized the state of Palestine about a year and a half ago.”
The Palestinian “resistance movement” is a key rallying point for Islamic supremacist antagonism against Zionists everywhere. The PLO manifesto states that its purpose is the “liquidation of Israel.”
Beyond Mahmoud Abbas, the Pope has tightly allied himself with the worst purveyors of Islamic supremacy and jihad. He has signed a special “peace document” with the Grand Sheikh of Al-Azhar University, Ahmed El-Tayyeb, a document hailed as a “clarion call” by Bishop Joseph C. Bambera, Catholic Chair of the National Catholic-Muslim Dialogue and chairman of the U.S. Bishops’ Committee on Ecumenical and Inter-religious Affairs. Two years ago, Cairo’s renowned Al Azhar — Sunni Islam’s most prestigious institution — reiterated complete “rejection of visiting Jerusalem under Israeli occupation.”
More on the Grand Sheikh El-Tayyeb:
- He blames the unrest in the Middle East on “world Zionism” and refuses to denounce the Islamic State as un-Islamic.
- He broke off “dialogue” with Pope Benedict in 2011 because Benedict referred to the jihad mass murder of 23 Coptic Christians in Alexandra as “terrorism” that “brutally affected worshippers” and was part of a “strategy of violence” against Christians. He then called for protection for religious minorities. And what was the reaction from el-Tayeb to the Pope’s reasonable remarks? El-Tayeb blamed Benedict for “interference” in Egyptian internal affairs, which might result in a “negative political reaction” in Egypt and the Middle East in general.
- In a shocking videotaped CNN exclusive after President Trump moved the U.S. Embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, el-Tayeb referred to Jerusalem as “100 percent Arab” under Israeli occupation, stated that “no religion” would support the declaration of Jerusalem as the capital of Israel, and said that decisions such as this one would nurture terrorism. He added that because of this decision, the East and the West would “drown in seas of blood.”
- He has justified anti-Semitism on Qur’anic grounds.
- He called for the Islamic State murderers of the Jordanian pilot to be crucified or have their hands and feet amputated on opposite sides (as per the penalty in Qur’an 5:33 for those who make war against Allah and his messenger or spread “mischief” in the land).
- Al-Azhar has also been revealed to be offering free copies of a book that called for the slaughter of Christians and other Infidels.
Saeb Erekat, chief negotiator and secretary general of the P.L.O., “wished to inform the Holy See about recent developments in the Palestinian territories and of the possibility of Israeli applying its sovereignty unilaterally to part of those territories, further jeopardizing the peace process.”
There was never a “peace process,” as the Palestinian Authority, the PLO, Hamas, and Fatah all aim to obliterate Israel and have documented their intent to do so plainly in their Charters. The likely new collaboration between the Vatican and the PLO represents a dark day in a so-called “peace process.” Read more about the delusion of the “peace process” in The Palestinian Delusion, HERE.
“P.L.O. Seeks Vatican Assistance in Dealing with Israel over West Bank,” by Thomas D. Williams, Breitbart, May 20, 2020:
ROME — The secretary general of the Palestine Liberation Organization (P.L.O.) contacted the Vatican Wednesday to “inform” of their concerns over possible Israeli annexation of parts of the West Bank.
In a carefully worded communiqué, the Vatican revealed that on Wednesday morning, Saeb Erekat, chief negotiator and secretary general of the P.L.O., telephoned Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher, the Vatican’s foreign minister.
Mr. Erekat “wished to inform the Holy See about recent developments in the Palestinian territories and of the possibility of Israeli applying its sovereignty unilaterally to part of those territories, further jeopardizing the peace process,” the communiqué said.
In mid-April Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Blue and White leader Benny Gantz signed a coalition agreement to form a unity government. According to the terms of the deal, the issue of annexation can be voted in the Knesset on July 1 at the earliest, “after discussion between the prime minister and alternate prime minister.”
“The Holy See reiterates that respect for international law and the relevant United Nations resolutions, is an indispensable element for the two peoples to live side by side in two States, within the borders internationally recognized before 1967,” the text stated.
“The Holy See is following the situation closely, and expresses concern about any future actions that could further compromise dialogue,” it continued, “while also expressing its hope that Israelis and Palestinians will be soon able to find once again the possibility for directly negotiating an agreement, with the help of the International Community, so that peace may finally reign in the Holy Land, so beloved by Jews and Christians and Muslims.”
In January 2017, Pope Francis received Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas in the Vatican for a formal inauguration of the first Embassy of the State of Palestine to the Holy See.
The new Palestinian embassy, said Abbas, “is a sign that the Pope loves the Palestinian people and peace.” The Vatican recognized the state of Palestine about a year and a half ago.
After the meeting, Abbas also said that he hopes “other states will follow the Holy See’s example.”
“We are proud to be the birthplace of Christianity and about having one of the oldest Christian communities in the world,” he said.
The Holy See began referring to Palestine as a “state” in November 2012, when the United Nations voted to recognize it as a nonmember observer state, but it only formally recognized Palestinian statehood in a legal document in May of 2015.
On the other hand, Pope Francis also made news in late 2015 when he declared that attacks on the State of Israel and its right to exist constitute anti-Semitism.
“To attack Jews is anti-Semitism, but an outright attack on the State of Israel is also anti-Semitism,” Francis said in a private audience with delegates from the World Jewish Congress (WJC)……

The plo has not liberated anyone….they should free all of the people over whom they control, free them from islam, and from their control.
And of course, the pope guy will take the side of the plo… the profoundly lawless organization’. He’ll take the side of the moslims, stick his ugly beak where it does not belong, and tell Israel to leave things as they are, or give up more land ‘for peace.’
The moslims all over, know who is their most infamous friend and they go to him so very often. The only reason he doesn’t “convert” openly, is that then, he couldn’t be pope any longer, and the moslims would have to find another tooling fool with a large beak.
FYI says
francis is far too concerned about his pet Globalist-sponsored project, the environment ,and with his false eco-Theology and {is it now 7?}Heresises,promoting errors, undermining Christians and demolishing catholicism{the majority of catholics of course don’t see that:or rather it is that they don’t want to see it}…to speak out in defense of persecuted Christians.
If he loves islam so much perhaps he should invite muslims to come to the vatican and give them piggy-back rides:I’m sure the muslims would love to ride this “pope” around the vatican.Such love francis has for muslims and Globalists:a shame he doesn’t show such love to his own catholic flock or the one he pretends to follow with his artificially respirated prayers.
francis the jesuit thinks allah is the same as the Christian God:given that allah denies Christ {koran 4:157/koran 4:171},gets the Trinity completely wrong koran 5:116,teaches the OPPOSITE of the 2nd chief commandment{lev19:18}CURSES Christians for believing in Jesus Christ koran 9:30,has a Doctrine of Hate{al walaa wal baraa},MISSED the Golden Rule and the 2 Chief Commandments and permits the murder of Christians, one does not have to be a Theologian to see francis is completely wrong.Does it look like allah is the same as the Christian God?Obviously not.
No one does more to promote islam ..and denigrate christianity ..than francis!
Perhaps if francis conducted a “proper reading” of the koran followed by a “proper reading” of the Bible{a book allah CONFIRMS k3:3}it would enlighten him:but he is far too busy these days with his Globalism, population control and the environment projects in the political center that is now the vatican.
The “pope of the ear” appears to be deaf. And blind.

I don’t understand Pope Francis’ thinking at all. I’m an a Eastern Rite Catholic. We recognize him as the pope, and we pray for him, but we are a separate liturgical church tradition within the Catholic community of churches. The pope’s governance extends only to the Roman Rite. We have our own hierarchy and Eparchies, or Diocesan jurisdictions.
When I hear what’s coming from the Vatican these days, I am increasingly grateful for that—
FYI says
In these times it would be wiser for the Eastern Rite Catholics NOT to follow the errors and falsehoods coming from Rome.
There is an interesting Catholic Prophecy of St Francis of Assisi about a false pope.It is also what Pope Paul VI warned about when he said the “smoke of satan has entered the church”.
The reason I believe God permits such a ‘pope’ is to test the faithful,to separate the Wheat from the chaff. The faithful won’t go along with the errors coming from Rome. There are a number of remnant groups and a handful of cardinals who have surely spotted something seriously wrong with francis and what he is doing:he is promoting error,Heresy and Apostasy.
Don’t be fooled by the great showman and politician in Rome {because most will be:some folk are so blinded by the papacy that it does not occur to them that francis could ever be a false pope}
Notice how the vatican is nowadays very much a POLITICAL center involved in world affairs.
francis remains silent as christians are being killed and persecuted.
francis does not speak for christians,but for himself and the Globalists{exactly what they need too, a false Eco-Theology of made-up ‘sins’ against the environment}

I am a Roman Catholic ” in recovery” who could no longer support a religion headed up by this Pope.
I am still a devout Christian, trying different houses of worship.
I recently attended a Greek Orthodox Church and enjoyed the service.
Still looking around – and comparing…

James, the same is true of Robert Spencer.

The West Bank doesn’t need to be ‘annexed’ by Israel, since it is already part of the original territory deeded for the Jewish homeland by the League of Nations.
We can count on the pope to use his default Pollyannish emotional thinking, rather than facts and logic.
Wellington says
Succinctly and accurately put, mortimer.

I did not know that Mortimer, thank you for the information. I was going to see if I could find that deed from the League of Nations. Do you happen to recall the year or have a link?

Good grief–more fake victim-mongering.
That the PLO is doing this while persecuting and murdering Christians under their heel is all the more grotesque.
Wellington says
Agreed, gravenimage, but I expect on a regular basis grotesqueness from the PLO. No surprise ever.
What I and so many others should not have to expect, though since 2013 this is what is to be expected, is grotesqueness from the Vatican. But that is what exists with Francis as Pontifex Maximus.
Francis betrays so much that is good and true. In my mind, the man is an execrable human being. He is beyond a mere fool. He is an enabler of evil.
FYI says
He’s not a genuine Pontifex Maximus clearly,he’s not even a Pontifex Minimus.
He’s the Pontifex Invidius

I think he’s the pontfex ridiculous.

Fantastic! I’ll wager the Holy See goes all out pro bono on this one! Does the Pagan Pontiff know what the Bible says about whoever cuts up Israel and divides the Land? The Catholic “church” will be cut up before our eyes; the “Popatollah” is truly the False Prophet.
OLD GUY says
Why the Pope would help the christian murdering PLO is a question that needs to be asked. Its is also another muslim lie that Israel has to annex the West Bank it already is part of Israel. One of the problems around the world is these groups like the PLO who gain recognition through organizations like the UN become evermore powerful and tend to keep these struggles going in order to keep themselves in power. A handful of people in the PLO are profiting and living high on the hog off of the suffering of the people they claim to be standing up for and they don’t want the gravel train to come to and end.

The Pope is acting as a head of state. Technically, he is. However, this Pope seems to enjoy his role as world politician much more than being the successor of Peter. Read the book “The Political Pope.”
Like, would Peter have given unconditional support to the Iran nuclear deal? Would Peter have kissed an imam on the lips?

Does this pope ever come to the defense of persecuted Christians
Or is he so lost in his own self righteous that he’s blind
Barbara says
Look at this pope and observe his reaction to dictators. I compare the reaction Pope Pius XII had to Hitler. It is as if there are two entirely different churches.
Pius XII fought against Nazis years before he was pope. PF wallows in Islams false complements.
