Supporters of the “Palestinian” jihad consistently frame their war against Israel in Islamic terms, yet the first aspect of the conflict that Western analysts discount is Islam. Find out why that is so damaging in The Palestinian Delusion.
“PA daily front page article promises Israel’s destruction in war as Allah’s will,” by Itamar Marcus, Palestinian Media Watch, May 15, 2020:
When the Palestinian Authority chooses to take an op-ed written by an unimportant writer and publish it on the front page of the official daily, it means that the message reflects PA ideology and they want Palestinians to take notice.
The op-ed by a Lebanese woman named Hala Salameh essentially summarizes opinions of an extremist Muslim religious leader. The article opens with the headline: “Palestine is a waqf of Allah.” Every Palestinian knows that a waqf is holy Islamic land and that it is prohibited under Islamic law to let a waqf remain under non-Islamic jurisdiction. As the article stresses:
“Palestine is a waqf of Allah, and it cannot be relinquished, or sold, or bargained over.”
[Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, May 11, 2020]…
“The will of Allah will be realized, and we will enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque as we entered it the first time in the period of Caliph Omar [ibn Al-Khattib in 637], and as we entered it in the period of Saladin [Al-Ayyubi in 1187] (i.e., both by military conquest).”…
“Sadly, our battle with the Zionist movement has not yet begun. The residents of Palestine, and together with them the Arabs – Muslims and Christians alike – fought the Europeans for 200 years to save Palestine… We will remain in conflict with the Zionist enemy even 400 years in order to liberate every part of the land of Palestine.”
Palestinian Media Watch exposed a similar message by the Lebanese cleric when he interviewed on official PA radio in 2018. Then he sent greetings to Palestinians who “throw blessed rocks at the Zionist snake” and declared that the land is waqf land from the [Mediterranean] Sea to the [Jordan] River.”…
The most important PA religious leaders have also presented the conflict as a mandatory religious war for Allah. Mahmoud Al-Habbash, appointed by Mahmoud Abbas as his personal advisor on Islam and Head of the Sharia (Islamic) Courts concurred on this ideology:
“The entire land of Palestine is [Islamic] waqf and is blessed land… it is prohibited to sell, bestow ownership or facilitate the occupation of even a millimeter of it.”
[Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, Oct. 22, 2014]
Likewise, the PA Grand Mufti of Jerusalem and the Palestinian Territories and Supreme Fatwa Council Chairman Sheikh Muhammad Hussein has stated:
“Palestine, that includes within it Jerusalem, is waqf (i.e., an inalienable religious endowment in Islamic law) land [and] it is forbidden by Shari’ah law to relinquish it or ease the transfer of ownership of it to enemies, because it is part of the Islamic public property. Granting ownership over Islamic territory or part of it to enemies is invalid and constitutes treason.”
[Official PA daily Al-Hayat Al-Jadida, April 13, 2018]
By adopting these religious rulings the PA is continuing its adoption of Hamas ideology, affirming that the conflict is a religious war for Allah and that Israel’s destruction is necessary and inevitable for Islam.
Hamas Charter, Article 11:
“The Islamic Resistance Movement [Hamas] believes that the land of Palestine is an Islamic waqf consecrated for future Moslem generations until Judgment Day. It, or any part of it, should not be squandered: it, or any part of it, should not be given up.”
The following is a longer excerpt of the op-ed calling for religious war for Allah, printed on the front page of the official PA daily:
Excerpt of an article published on the front page of the official PA daily
Headline: “Shari’ah Judge Khaldoun Oraymet: Palestine is a waqf of Allah”…Former Secretary of the Lebanese Dar Al-Ifta’s [official institution issuing Fatwa religious rulings] Religious Legal Council Sheikh Khaldoun Oraymet… [said] the will of Allah will be realized, and that we will enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque as we entered it the first time in the period of Caliph Omar [ibn Al-Khattib in 637], and as we entered it in the period of Saladin [Al-Ayyubi in 1187] (i.e., both by military conquest), because Palestine is a waqf of Allah (i.e., an inalienable religious endowment in Islamic law), and it cannot be relinquished, or sold, or bargained over.’…

This is nonsense as a justification for war. Muslims already have access to the al-Aqsa mosque. No Jews are worshipping in it or even allowed to pray on the temple mount.
It was Israel that conquered Jerusalem in 1967, so by the same Muslim reasoning, “Palestine” and the al-Aqsa mosque is a “waqf” of Israel’s God and therefore should be kept by Israel until the judgement day.
Maybe Allah isn’t greater?
It would appear that Israel is being rather kind to allow Muslims to keep and administer the mosque.

Is anyone else getting just a tad annoyed at the ‘will’ of this imaginary being? The Israelis are being far too tolerant for their own good.
Kilauea says
If it’s Allah’s will to destroy Israel, why hasn’t he done it? Is he too lazy to pull it off or petrified by the thought of standing up to his creator?

Of course the “will of allah”{‘the BEST of deceivers’ koran 3:54} is not the “will of YHWH”,the Real Deal, who has very kindly explained{for those who understand the subject of Biblical prophecy}that He has other plans for Israel:Book of Joel 3 for starters.
It would not be a good idea to go against Israel:seriously bad idea…
Biblical prophecy {OT and NT}comes through the Holy Spirit:allah,predictably,completely MISSED that{along with the Golden rule and the 2 chief commandments}
Maybe allah was out the day when the HS was poured out at the time of Jesus..because he appears to have MISSED its purpose.
islamic “prophecy” does NOT come via the Holy Spirit{the Helper of Isaiah 42} and is completely false, but of course islamic “scholars” don’t see that:in fact zakir naik, the mehical{sic} doctor thinks the Helper refers to muhammed.
But what would muhammed,a mass murderer of Jews {Abu dawud 4390}who was not from the children of Israel{allah’s own criterion of who had the right to be a prophet koran 45:16: a criterion muhammed note, doesn’t satisfy..}be doing in a JEWISH scripture as a prophet of YHWH when he is a ‘prophet’ of a different god allah?
You could just as easily say the Helper refers to hercules or nostradamus:islamic “scholars” don’t know what the Holy Spirit is.It is the wisdom granted to mankind to understand God:and yet we see allah doesn’t have much time for this source koran 4:171
{‘cease!say not 3.It is better for you’}
Yes, it is better from allah’s perspective that muslims don’t know out about the Holy Spirit and rely on allah’s false wisdom instead :so allah ‘rightly guides’ his muslims in error

‘we will enter the Al-Aqsa Mosque as we entered it the first time in the period of Caliph Omar [ibn Al-Khattib in 637]’
—
There was no Al-Aqsa Mosque in 637. It hadn’t yet been built!!!!! But why am I complaining? The op-ed wasn’t written for me. It was written for Muslims, and they’re just fine with that sort of thing.

Yes, Anjuli–it was not built until the next century.
Walter Sieruk says
The PA chiefs keep on promising to the destruction of Israel “by the will of Allah”. Well that means nothing. Nothing at all, because as exposed in a number of my earlier essays ,the god of Islam,Allah is a fusion of a pagan Middle Eastern pagan god Baal and a lunar moon god.
So this Allah of Islam is a false god ,a nothing god .Therefore “the will of Allah” means nothing
So in spite and in contrast to what the propagandists Islam say the god of Islam is not the God of the Bible.
In great contrast the God of the Bible is real and is almighty and He loves Israel will not let her be destroyed by her enemies
As it is written,in the Bible,… “For the Lord has chosen Jacob for Himself ,Israel for His special treasure.”
Psalm 135:4. [N.K.J.V.]

Anjuli Pandavar raises an important point: Al Aqsa mosque was constructed long after the death of Mohammed, possibly in the reign of Omar … but no precise dating is possible. Whatever building was there in the late 690s was rebuilt by Caliph abd al Malik and finished in 705 by his son.
The real Al Aqsa that Mohammed knew was at the edge of a stream outside of Petra.

DID ALLAH WRITE A WILL?
It is questionable whether the term ‘WAQF’ can be applied to a whole country. A waqf is a bequest made to a community, such as mosque or a town. It is a term used in wills. Allah doesn’t write wills.
WAQF is an endowment made by a Muslim to a religious, educational, or charitable cause. The term waqf literally means “confinement and prohibition” or causing a thing to stop or stand still.
The waqf provided a legal way to circumvent the Sharīʿah’s requirement that an individual’s estate be divided among many heirs. Through a waqf, an individual could endow an institution or group with all or part of his estate, in perpetuity, before his death.
A waqf (Arabic: وَقْف; [ˈwɑqf]), also known as hubous (حُبوس)[1] or mortmain property, is an inalienable charitable endowment under Islamic law. It typically involves donating a building, plot of land or other assets for Muslim religious or charitable purposes with no intention of reclaiming the assets.[2] A charitable trust may hold the donated assets. The person making such dedication is known as a waqif (a donor). In Ottoman Turkish law, and later under the British Mandate of Palestine, a waqf was defined as usufruct State land (or property) from which the State revenues are assured to pious foundations.[3] Although the waqf system depended on several hadiths and presented elements similar to practices from pre-Islamic cultures, it seems that the specific full-fledged Islamic legal form of endowment called waqf dates from the 9th century AD.

Palestinian Authority daily promises destruction of Israel as “the will of Allah”
……………..
“Allah’s will” seems pretty pathetic…
OLD GUY says
It’s not the will of Allah, it is the will of the PLO who represents the ISLAMIC “RELIGIOUS” DICTATORSHIP.
The PLO has done more harm to the people they claim to represent then good. The PLO as with many of these other political groups only care about the funds they are receiving and the life style their leadership enjoys at the cost of the people they are supposed to be helping. It’s all about power and money.
