Iran is celebrating the crisis in America. While continuing to refer to the US as the “Great Satan,” it has put out a celebratory song: “It is the end of your reign, America!” The regime is now calling for the arrest of Donald Trump, and is asking for Interpol’s help.
Since Iran dubbed Qassem Soleimani a revered martyr, it is accusing Trump of “murder and terrorist acts.”
The US’s international allies, including the UK and Germany, also criticised the strike at the time, with Berlin warning that it risked a “dangerous escalation” in the region.
This fear of “escalation” with jihadist bullies is precisely what enables them. They become more emboldened and stronger in the face of appeasement, as was seen with Iran during the Obama administration. In addition to the Iran deal, the Iranian regime “may have received an additional $33.6 billion in secret cash and gold payments facilitated by the Obama administration between 2014 and 2016, according to testimony provided before Congress by an expert.”
This money allowed Iran to expand not only its regional influence, but to position itself internationally through its proxies and the manipulation of pliant Western states such as Germany.
Iran announced in early June that its citizens “who provided information to US and Israeli intelligence services on the whereabouts” of Soleimani would be executed.
Interpol has refused Iran’s request; its regulations require it to “reject any request that it judges to be politically motivated.”
“Iran has issued an arrest warrant for Trump over the killing of Qassem Soleimani, and asked Interpol to help detain him,” by Adam Bienkov, Business Insider, June 29, 2020:
Iran has issued an arrest warrant for US President Donald Trump for the killing of Gen. Qassem Soleimani, and it’s asked Interpol for help detain him.
Tehran called for an Interpol “red notice” on 36 US political and military figures, including the president, the official Islamic Republic News Agency reported Monday.
Iranian prosecutor Qasi Mehr said the figures had been charged with “murder and terrorist acts” for the killing of Soleimani by US drone strike in Baghdad in January.
The strike on Soleimani on January 3 was justified by the US Department of Defence as being “aimed at deterring future Iranian attack plans.”
The president has broad powers in matters of military conflict under the US constitution. But some experts have questioned the legality of the strike.
The US’s international allies, including the UK and Germany, also criticised the strike at the time, with Berlin warning that it risked a “dangerous escalation” in the region.
Interpol has yet to respond to Iran, but it has the power to refuse its request.
Red notices are issued to law-enforcement agencies around the world requesting that the person is located and arrested, but they do not compel them to do so….

Come get him. I don’t think it will work out so well for Iran.

I think Iran misspelled Saudi Arabia

For a moment, I thought I had stumbled upon a “Babylon Bee” headline. Priceless!

President Trump had shown wisdom in ordering that US drone airstrike which eliminated that brutal, violent and murderous Iranian terrorists commander , at the Baghdad airport, is thievery best way of sending those cruel ruthless jihad –minded rulers in power in the “mullah regime “ of Iran a message in the only language that they will understand. Which is a message sent with and by the power of strong military might.
As Thomas Jefferson had, so clearly, declared, “With every barbarous people …force is law.”
Walter Sieruk says
Soleimani was a very vicious and dangerous man. Therefore it was necessary that he was eliminated.

We need to coin some new words for the dictionary – “Ludicrous” and “Absurd” can’t cut it anymore. This mullah edict proves it. BTW, most ancient empires realized the quickest way to “finish” a War was to lop off the head(s) of the adversary’s leaders and “King”. We have some remarkably accurate weapons that could put Iran in the “kneeling before us” position, probably nothing would happen except the People would finally be rid of these monsters, and maybe the Shah would return, Iran could restore its name “Persia”, and be a respected nation again.

Agree, owensgate–I find myself running out of words to describe both the absurdity and savagery of Islam.

gravenimage,
I ran out of words two or three years ago…

James, years ago I never thought I would need a lot of synonyms for “absurd”, “ridiculous”, “ludicrous”, “risible”; and “savage”, “barbaric”, and “brutal”, lest I repeat myself over and over again.
But then, who thought we would be regularly faced with the horrors of Islam–and the usually dhimmi reaction from the West–even just twenty years ago?

Islam destroys whatever it doesn’t agree with. A true menace to society.

This has to rank as one of the biggest jokes of all time. Those script writers amongst the mullahs in Iran just keep excelling their previous efforts in stupidity. Their nonsense just makes them look like the biggest joke on the international stage. Donald Trump must be quaking in his boots that those fuckwits in Iran are coming after him. The Iranian authorities seem to do nothing but dream up crazy, pointless insults that they throw at the USA and now there is this piece of nonsense. I think hearing this latest piece of rubbish probably gave most people who heard it a bit of a laugh. Eliminating this terrorist scumbag, Soleimani, definitely improved the world and made it a bit safer.
Wellington says
Eloquently stated, tim gallagher.
Tough call whether the Islamic world or the Western Left is the more ominous for liberty. Reasonable minds can differ here, preferably over several pitchers of beer.
tim gallagher says
Thanks, Wellington, it is a joke though, isn’t it. I heard a couple of commentators on the radio here in Australia say the same thing yesterday about this move by Iran. A complete joke was their reaction. You are right, Islam and many of the leftie Marxist types do seem to loathe the western way of life to an equal degree.

I’ll drink to that…
Pretty moderately now but I used to be the “anchorman” on my beer chugging team back in undergrad. After a few rounds, the whole team would stagger over to the Student Union to watch Three Stooges Shorts – with even more beer and popcorn…
Imagine, a future physician and naval officer…
tim gallagher says
James, centuries ago, at least it seems that long ago, when I was at university, and for quite a few years after that, I used to do a fair bit of beer drinking. Not all the time but just binge drinking from time to time. Now I mostly just enjoy a beer after dinner during the hot summer evenings. It’s a good way to end the day during the hot months. You must be a bloody bright guy, James, and your comments here at Jihad Watch make that clear, to have been able to hit the booze a fair bit and yet make it through a medical degree. I had a friend from school who got through a medical degree, but I recall that he seemed to be always studying to make it through the course. I guess he had an occasional booze up, but I remember how hard he studied. I remember that he had a phenomenal memory which no doubt helped his medical studies.
James Lincoln says
Thanks for the kind words, tim.

Iran issues arrest warrant for Trump over killing of Soleimani, asks Interpol for help
………………
Let’s *hope* Interpol tells the Mullahs to take a hike–although these days, you never know.
OLD GUY says
Interpol will need to make a decision, Trump one kill of a terrorist or the leadership of Iran thousands of kills of innocent people. That shouldn’t be too hard.
Ren says
Iran ought to be desperate.
