Iran’s ambitions is to export its Islamic revolution worldwide. This means “death to America” and “death to Israel.” While the West views Iran “as a regional player,” the regime views itself as a global power.
It is in keeping with the character of the Islamic regime in Iran to execute anyone who stands in the way of its ambitions, in the name of Islam. Now, “Iran says its citizen who provided information to US and Israeli intelligence services on the whereabouts of the slain Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander Qassem Soleimani will be executed soon.”
“Iran says it will execute informant who led CIA to Soleimani,” Al Jazeera, June 9, 2020:
Iran says its citizen who provided information to US and Israeli intelligence services on the whereabouts of the slain Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) commander Qassem Soleimani will be executed soon.
Soleimani, leader of the IRGC’s Quds Force, was assassinated in a US drone attack in Iraq on January 3. Washington blamed Soleimani for masterminding attacks by Iran-aligned militias on US forces in the region.
“Mahmoud Mousavi-Majd, one of the spies for CIA and Mossad, has been sentenced to death. He gave the whereabouts of martyr Soleimani to our enemies,” judiciary spokesman Gholamhossein Esmaili said in a televised news conference on Tuesday.
Esmaili did not say when Majd would be executed and also stopped short of directly linking the information allegedly offered by Majd to Soleimani’s death.
Officials have also not said whether Mousavi-Majd’s case is linked to Iran’s announcement last summer that it had captured 17 spies working for the CIA, some of whom it said were sentenced to death……

It must be unusually difficult to recruit Moslem spies in a Dar al Islam country, and none is more al Islam than the Islamic Republic of Iran. I wonder if those killed were exposed by all the leaking and hacking of intelligence files going on in Washington these days. Hell, the scandal of the Mozzies hired by the Debbie Wasserman Schultz to oversee intelligence files in the House was enough to announce at least a dozen al Islam spies. And then boom.

This would not be the first time in Rome on the Potomac that leaked, and or, accessed information by elected officials or bureaucratic personnel caused agents to die. There is NO shame in many of these people who use their position of power and authority to cause harm to America and the West.
Martin says
It’s a shame he got caught. For him to be executed isn’t a surprise. We’d do it too.
Sabri S. says
as they should. Execute this collaborator and infidel follower. No tears shed for this traitor to his people and ummah!!
gravenimage says
Of course Sabri S. loves Jihad terrorists.
It is highly unlikely that the victim here had anything to do with Soleimani one way or another–but it is a convenient claim.
Does Sabri S. care that he, as a Sunni Muslim, could easily be accused of being a “collaborator and infidel follower”, and “traitor to his people and ummah” in Iran?
Of course not–until it happened, and then he’d be cursing the Shia as “heretics”. Until then, he’s always good with his coreligionists slaughtering people.
Vladimir says
Reminds me of something I heard about Muslims once; ”Sunni and Shia are enemies today and for a while tomorrow, but the Romans and Jews are enemies of all Islam forever.

Of course, the idea that we sponsor Jihad terror is claptrap.

When and whom was the last person we executed as a spy?
Gourdhead says
Surely you jest. We do not have the balls to do it.
Naram-Sin says
It’s very likely that this “spy’ had nothing to with Soleimani and was never a spy. Mossad and the CIA don’t burn their sources so easily because they are so hard to develop. Also, the US is fully capable of tracking Soleimani through eavesdropping and drone surveillance. Ultimately this is probably nothing more than Iran trying to make an excuse for it’s own incompetence.

Naram-Sin
My thoughts exactly. Iran is just trying to save face and possibly picked someone at random to be the “spy”.

Agreed.
Walter Sieruk says
Soleimani was a very vicious and dangerous man. Therefore it was necessary that he was eliminated.
So if an Iranian citizen actually provided information to US and Israeli intelligence services on the whereabouts that lead to the killing of Soleimani ,that Iranian citizen is really a hero.
tgusa says
Considering that they are well documented incompetent morons they probably have the wrong person. For them doing nothing is far worse than doing the wrong thing. Staged islamist theater, that’s entertainment!

Spot on, tgusa.
