The incident is not being treated as terrorism. The poor dear was simply angry over being served spaghetti and macaroni and cheese, you see, and who wouldn’t go on a stabbing spree over that? But since we’re talking about what is and is not “culturally inappropriate,” may we have a discussion about whether or not he was influenced to react to his bad food in this way by the culture of violence in which he raised, and by the religion that taught it was meritorious to do violence to unbelievers? Of course we may not. That would be “Islamophobic.”
An update on this story. “Report: Glasgow Stabber ‘Very Hungry’ Sudanese Man, Migrants Unhappy with ‘Culturally Inappropriate’ Spaghetti, Mac and Cheese Meals at Hotel,” by Jack Montgomery, Breitbart, June 27, 2020:
The suspect in a stabbing spree in Glasgow, Scotland, was a Sudanese man who had complained of being “very hungry” at the hotel which was housing him and other asylum seekers during the coronavirus lockdown.
“The attacker was a Sudanese asylum seeker and he’d been telling his friends that he was very hungry in the hotel. In the past few days he was threatening people, and it was reported to the staff the day before,” said Kurdish Community Scotland activist Ako Zada in comments to The Telegraph.
“These people had been living in their houses but were moved into hotels during the pandemic,” Zada explained — with “their houses” being a reference to taxpayer-funded accommodation the asylum seekers had been inhabiting prior to the lockdown, rather than their own private property.
“Their money for buying food and essentials was stopped and [instead] they were fed three times a day but people were complaining at getting the same spaghetti and macaroni cheese all the time. It wasn’t culturally appropriate for them,” Zada said of the migrants, who supposedly came to Britain because they were in deadly peril in their homelands.
The activist said that it was “completely humiliating” for migrants in Glasgow to have “their money” taken away from them after they were moved into hotels — which according to the left-wing Guardian provided “three meals a day, basic toiletries and a laundry service” as well as WiFi — and “very damaging for their mental health.”…
Police Scotland have said they do not believe the Glasgow stabbings were terror-related — yet sources have told The Telegraph that they are investigating whether it was inspired by another stabbing spree in Reading, England, which has been declared a “terrorist incident”.

All the rhetorical BS aside 3 innocent Scots were ‘murdered’. It does not matter whether if was terrorism or an immature outrage because someone didn’t get what they wanted. This is the future of Scotland?? Pure insanity that all of these countries are allowing Muslims into their country. Do the so called leaders not read, watch and hear what is happening all over Europe? Why would any country show compassion to people who will never appreciate what the host country has done for them. Their goal is purely political, not religious. They want to destroy the west and create an Islamic state to dominate all non-Muslims.
Savvy Kafir says
Exactly! You’re right on all points.
If the people of the West don’t come to their senses soon, and demand that their “leaders” begin the expulsion of Muslims — all Muslims — it’s just a matter of time before the greatest cultures the world has ever produced are swallowed up by the savagery and insanity of Islam.

Everyone stabbed is still alive and in a Glasgow hospital.
3 people who were dead yesterday are now alive.
It’s the best comeback since Lazarus.

What part, eddie, of the title of this article above, gravenimage’s assertions aside, which includes “…Muslim migrant murders three….” do you not get?
And even if these three unfortunate victims are still alive, what do you have to say about the barbarian who stabbed them? Nothing to do with Islam, eddie? Only a hunger problem, or a mental health problem, or…, or… or…?
Do you get, eddie, that Islam is the only religion that calls for war to be made upon all humanity “until all religion is with Allah” {Sura 8:39}—do you really think Islam is not a menace to liberty, equality under the law, women’s rights, not to mention fine alcohol and excellent pork products?
What’s your overall view on Islam, eddie? Please in encapsulated form convey this to the rest of us.
I say, I definitely contend, that Islam is the one major religion which is rotten to the core in its theological blueprint (e.g., death for apostasy found both in the Koran and hadiths and which no other major faith has in its theory).
Islam sucks, eddie. Big time. And remember, I am not religious in the least but only a fool or a liar would contend that Islam poses no more of a threat to mankind than any other religion does.
Your turn, eddie. And don’t dodge. Straight forward statements.

“In my opinion, Islam is the next thing to Nazism”
To my knowledge, there have been at least two seriouis academic studies into parallels between the Qur’an and ‘Mein Kampf, and both have come up with a whole catalogue of concordances between the two books. Since the Qur’an predates ‘Mein Kampf’ by about 1,400 years it would be more accurate to say that islam is the original ‘Nazism’ (or ‘Proto-Nazim) and this would be conformed by the support that Hitler enjoyed (and still enjoys) from muslims, who would see the Dictator of the Third Reich as a true successor to their ‘Prophet’. It would also help to explain why the heavily-muslim-infiltrated BLM protesters in London have gone out of their way to desecrate the statue of Sir Winston Churchill.

Scotland: Glasgow on lockdown as man stabs three people dead and knifes cop in “major incident”
……………
Just horrifying–and yes, given recent news, this is almost certainly Jihad…
https://www.jihadwatch.org/2020/06/scotland-glasgow-on-lockdown-as-man-stabs-three-people-dead-and-knifes-cop-in-major-incident#comment-2249492
I noted in subsequent posts that both the Daily Mail and BBC reported that eyewitnesses has said that some of the victims were dead.
This is how every fluid story is reported–with reporting what eyewitnesses and first responders have to say, then conforming them as they go.
He might as well blame the BBC for “fake news”–but he would, of course, much rather attack those who dare oppose the horrors of Jihad.
“eddie” also sneered at the idea that this was Jihad–despite the man being named Badreddin Abadlla Adam and coming from Sudan–despite his having a Muslim name and coming from a places that is over 97% Muslim.
Again, it is clear that “eddie’s” only purpose here is to distract from Jihad and to sneer at Anti-Jihadists, Just appalling.
In other words, we should be fine with Muslims stabbing us, just so long as our hospitals and doctors are good enough to sometimes prevent us from dying. *Ugh*.

Six people, including a police officer, were injured when he launched his attack at the hotel on Friday.
The man shot dead by police after the stabbing attack in Glasgow has been named as Badreddin Abadlla Adam.
Police Scotland confirmed the man’s identity in a statement, saying he was 28-years-old and from Sudan.
Sky News reported earlier that the attacker was an asylum seeker, who came to the UK six months ago and had been staying at the Park Inn hotel in West George Street.
Six people, including a police officer, were injured when he launched his attack at the hotel on Friday.
“The identity is based on information the deceased provided to the Home Office earlier this year,” the force added.
“Police Scotland continue to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident in Glasgow.
“The police discharge of firearms resulting in a fatality will always continue to be fully investigated by the Police Investigations and Review Commissioner.

Really? Spaghetti and macraoni are actually Italian dishes, but these foods have been popular in the UK for decades and no-one here has ever complained. Perhaps the prblem is that being in the UK isn’t actually culturally appropriate for these people, they certainly weren’t invited here or compelled to come here, so why are they here in the first place?
“The activist said that it was “completely humiliating” for migrants in Glasgow to have “their money” taken away from them after they were moved into hotels — which according to the left-wing Guardian provided “three meals a day, basic toiletries and a laundry service” as well as WiFi — and “very damaging for their mental health.”…
‘Their money? It’s not ‘their money’ it’s UK taxpayers’ money!! And if the UK wasn’t actually the nearest safe coun try for them as ‘asylum seekers’ or ‘refugees’, then the UK taxpayer shouldn’t be giving them any money at all anyway – assuming, that is, that they are actually genuine refugees, which they probably are not! And that is obviously not including the cost of meals, toiletries, laundry services and wi-fi, the last of which is hardly a necessity and all of which UK citizens have to pay for!

Proving again, this time in Scotland, that Islam and Western Civilization are completely incompatible, much like Nazism and Marxism are re Western Civilization. Anarchy too is at odds with the West (e.g., Antifa) and so is Black Lives Matter (BLM), which is rooted in Marxist dialectic and hatred of Western Civilization, as well as being racist itself (e.g., at BLM rallies, for instance in Missouri and Washington, there have been demands that whites go to the back of the crowd).
The West at its best developed societies free of totalitarian thought or inclinations. The West at its best has also exhibited, AS NO OTHER CIVILIZATION HAS, the capacity to apologize for its wrongdoings—Asian societies never do, sub-Saharan African societies never do, the American Indian world never does, and God knows the Islamic world never has, even though the Islamic world has so much to apologize for.
Yep, only the West has shown the capacity to apologize, sometimes even to an even stupid, self-flaggelating degree by the “weaker” Westerners in its midst (read here silly white people who are pathetic, ignorant and, how extra annoying, often very rich as well).
The circus continues. The circus is human life on earth. And which makes me think that the rest of the galaxy and universe have every right to think indifferently of what earth has “spawned.”
James Lincoln says
Spot on, as usual, Wellington.
One question – right down your alley:
Which is more dangerous to the very survival of the United States – short-term and long-term:
Islam
Or
Leftism / Marxism / Antifa / BLM, etc.,???
Wellington says
Leftism, James (with Marxism, Antifa and BLM, etc. just being subsets of Leftism). Not even a close call.
Let me put it this way: You can have the bane of Islam in the West and all across the world or you can have the bane of Western Leftism in the West. You can eliminate one but you can’t eliminate both (beautiful thought, though,no?). Which are you choosing?
I would choose the elimination of foolishness, stupidity, ignorance, et al. that is most pervasive in the West right now, i.e., Leftthink. If Leftthink did not exist and the only divisions within Western societies were traditional liberals (a scarce species anymore) and conservatives—arguing over sundry policy matters, all the while both agreeing that Islam is simply awful, right up there with Nazism and Marxism and where Islam fully deserves to be placed in such “company,” Well, I would take such a choice in a heartbeat.
In a kind of summary, the great enemy within the West is old-fashion liberalism morphing into modern liberalism, call it Leftism if you prefer. Islam, despicable as it is, has been around for some 1400 years and has mostly been successfully opposed by the West because the West until the last half century has not lost its collective mind or ever forgotten that Islam would quite willingly destroy the West if only it could. But since the 1960’s (God, I despise that decade), the West has lost much of its collective mind—and right now is in the process, I fear, of losing what’s left of it.
A great deal of this loss can be found on the left side of the political spectrum, but not all. Bush 43 (anti-Trumpers too like Bill Kristol and the recently deceased Charles Krauthammer, who both denigrated Geert Wilders, probably the single person in our era in Western Europe most like Churchill) represents in microcosm how this particular metaphorical cancer has spread—I think to this very day Bush 43 still does not “get” Islam. How sad. No defense for this. None.
On a personal note, so done with the Bushes—all of them. But for Reagan, a true hero and so very much on the right side of history, the Bushes would have been “history” long ago. I think better had they been all things considered, though the thought of Michael Dukakis and Al Gore does give me pause here I do concede.
Anyway, Leftism it is, James, and not Islam because the enemy within is virtually always worse than the enemy without. The demise of the Western half of the Roman Empire in the late fifth century proves this in spades. A lack of will, a dearth of overall efficiency, and a decreasing awareness or proper regard respecting what made Rome great in the first place, destroyed the Western half of the Roman Empire far more than all the Germanic tribes put together did.
Oh yes, the enemy within is invariably the greater menace than the enemy without. History proves this over and over again, whether with ancient Rome, the debasement of the Carolingian dynasty after Charlemagne, the appeasement policy followed by Britain and France in the 1930’s, and now allowing the Beast, i.e., Islam, within the Western gates (metaphorically speaking as opposed to the literal gates at Vienna in 1683).
Sorry to go on so long, but my blood was up, made all the worse knowing that the NFL, NASCAR, very possibly college football too, are rapidly becoming relics of the past—and not due to Islam but Leftthink.
I rest my case.
James Lincoln says
Wellington,
Thank you for your reply. Very detailed and 100% accurate, you effectively corroborated what I thought to be true.
A very interesting point that you made was the fact that islam could be very effectively “contained” in the United States if it were not aided and abetted by leftism.
I agree, traditional conservatives and old-fashioned JFK type liberals would both agree that islam is “simply awful” as you put it. As a sidebar, my brother and his wife are both old-fashioned JFK type liberals and are really confused because the current Democratic Party has left them.
You’re certainly right about the 1960s. Correct me if I’m wrong, but it seemed like the very early 1960s up until the JFK assassination still had most of the 1950s post-war
culture. I’m also wondering if the turmoil that the United States is experiencing right now is as bad or worse than the turmoil of the 1960s. Different issues, etc.
You absolutely nailed it with your comments regarding Bush 43, Bill Kristol and the recently deceased Charles Krauthammer. Interestingly, Charles usually made quite a bit of sense – but not always.
Geert Wilders also has my total respect – a great man.
Points are well taken regarding the NFL, NASCAR, and very possibly college football. The only football that I watch now are the military academies. They are gentlemen on the field, play fair, and respect the flag. As I’ve said dozens of times to my friends, I love my Army and Air Force brothers and sisters 364 days a year – except during, say, the Army-Navy football game – then it’s Navy all the way!
Best wishes to you and yours “good buddy”.
Wellington says
On the specific matter, James, of the Army/Navy game, I had one nephew who graduated from Annapolis and another who graduated from West Point. So, it’s a minor civil war in our extended family when the Army/Navy game, one of the greatest single sports tradition in America, comes around each year in early December.
On a much broader matter, the American Civil War itself, I taught a seminar course on the Civil War Era over the course of decades and took my students to Gettysburg and Antietam each time I taught the course. I’ve been to many other CW battlefields and sites—Shiloh, Perryville, Vicksburg, Chickamauga, Fredericksburg, et al. Per E.B. Long, who compiled the exhaustive “The Civil War Day by Day: An Almanac 1861-1865,” there were over 10,000 military engagements, which he mentions on p.718 of his text.
I am glad the North won the Civil War because a 20th century without a united United States would have been far worse for the world at large. Besides, towards the end of the war, Georgia was threatening to secede from the Confederacy and certain Midwestern states like Iowa and Missouri were discussing forming their own nation. Imagine what is now the US divided into five or six countries or more. Of course, we’re having a new kind of civil war right now and Leftism is overwhelmingly responsible for this. It disgusts me to watch statues come down. So many Confederate and Union soldiers were highly honorable men.
I’m sure you’re familiar with General Joshua Chamberlain, the hero for the Union the second day of Gettysburg (though not a General then), lining up Union soldiers at Appomattox after General Lee surrendered to General Grant to pay a last salute and tribute to the Confederates as they turned in their rifles, banners and flags. All this is lost on the morons tearing down Civil War statues. Such people are beneath contempt.
Moreover, future Americans, including Presidents, greatly admired, and openly said they did, the soldiers on both sides in this brutal war. One of President Truman’s two most admired figures in American history was Robert E. Lee (and the other was Andrew Jackson). Mindless obliteration of history by way of taking your present mindset into past times and judging the past by your own time’s zeitgeist is one of the shallowest things a person can do.
So I guess, per Leftthink, statues and tributes to Truman will have to go too (made even more “urgent” considering that he used the “n” word for blacks {as also LBJ did}, as detailed in David McCullough’s massive biography of our 33rd President, for instance in Truman’s letters to his wife, Bess), and monuments to JFK as well because he called male ballet dancers fairies and gave strict instructions never to be photographed with any of them when he attended a ballet with Jackie. Then there were all the anti-Semitic jokes FDR used to tell, never mind his incarceration of Japanese-Americans during WWII. And on and on and on, including the fact that in 1830 some 4,000 free blacks owned some 13,000 black slaves while many American Indian tribes also had black slaves, including the Five Civilized tribes who sided with the Confederacy in large part to preserve their black slave system—interesting how this is never brought up by most any modern educator. Students today aren’t being educated, they’re being indoctrinated.
There’s no end to this nonsense unless it is stopped, with force if necessary. It needs to be stopped. Soon like. And again, thanks for serving. Take care, my friend.
James Lincoln says
Wellington,
Kudos to your two nephews! I wish them both the very best!
This year, I was asked to promote nearly a dozen brand-new physicians from Ensign to Lieutenant. I had bought a brand-new set of “service dress blues”, had my mini speech ready, then COVID hit.
I also unintentionally left out my Coast Guard brothers and sisters. Great people, I gained a lot of respect while serving with them in the Persian Gulf. They conducted very dangerous ship “boardings” looking for contraband. Their pilots also wear the “Navy Wings of Gold”, and the ones that I have flown with have been top-notch – both helos and fixed wing. And yes, they do play football, but do not play Army or Navy.
And yes, there were honorable man on both sides of the civil war, and I too have visited a number of the more well-known battle sites.
And yes, I am very familiar with General Joshua Chamberlain. Interestingly, while he was at Bowdoin College, many of the faculty there did not support his enthusiasm to support the Union war effort against the Confederacy. He was granted a leave of absence for “study in Europe” but secretly joined the Maine Regiment. But I’m sure that you knew that already…
Spot on again regarding “leftthink”. I personally think that it should more accurately be called “nothink”, but it perhaps does not have the right “ring” to it.
Regarding leftism on, particularly liberal, college campuses, it’s surprising that any of these current students can think straight. Interestingly, a subset can – and that does give me some degree of hope. I have served alongside military members in their 20s, 30s, and 40s from all branches and have been amazed at the sacrifices they make for their fellow service members and the great USA. The “best of the best” in our current military are equal to the “Greatest Generation” in World War II – of which my own father was a part as an Army medic, surprisingly sustaining no long-term injuries..
Enjoy your day!

Scotland: Muslim migrant who murdered three was “very hungry,” migrants enraged over “culturally inappropriate” food
………………
Far from being “hungry”, this thug probably could have gotten fat on eating three times a day.
Real refugees have always had to deal with eating unfamiliar foods–most of them have been damn glad to get it. I have read many accounts of this, including from Holocaust survivors who wound up in places as different as Australia, Sweden, the UK, and America.
I have also worked with Vietnamese and Hmong refugees. Some of them have been initially baffled by things like hot dogs–I had one student who told me she was embarrassed by at first trying to eat them with chopsticks. Another student and her family were treated by their hosts to a meal from a Hunan restaurant so they would feel more at home, but this was almost as alien to them as was American food.
Still, none of them felt anything but gratitude for the people feeding them and helping them. And while they–especially the very isolated Hmong–knew little about the US, they all understood that new foods would be just one of the changes they would face.
They also all realized that this was temporary, and that once on their own they would be able to find and cook food more familiar to them.
*None* of these people went on murderous rampages against those who had given them asylum, or would ever have considered it.
