Regarding Saadallah’s possible conversion to Christianity, see here. Christians have not been regarded as planning to travel to Syria for “extremist reasons.” The fact that MI5 suspected that Saadallah was going to do this adds weight to the possibility that his conversion to Christianity was a sham, or that he returned to Islam. Note the cousin who claims he converted to Christianity hasn’t seen him in three years.
“Reading terror attack suspect’s ‘brother’ claims he was defending himself during knife rampage and blasts the UK as ‘racist,’” by Luke May, Mailonline, June 22, 2020:
…Khairi Saadallah, who is thought to have only been released from prison for various offences 16 days ago, came to the attention of MI5 last year, after they suspected he was planning to travel to Syria for ‘extremist reasons’.
The 25-year-old allegedly claimed to have fought both for and against ISIS, though officials assessing him found he didn’t subscribe to any ideology or belief system and instead had mental health issues.
An investigation revealed no immediate risk or threat and he was not under surveillance at the time of his alleged rampage.
Saadallah was diagnosed with post-traumatic stress disorder and delusional and paranoid schizophrenia, requiring medication before his release, a source told the Sun.
He is thought to have come to the UK from Libya as a tourist in 2012 before claiming asylum as he was at risk from Islamic extremists in his homeland because he ‘liked to drink’ and didn’t lead a ‘strict religious life’.
However, once in the UK, he ended up in prison after committing several non-terror offences. He is even thought to have converted to Christianity and has a tattoo of a cross on his arm.
Saadallah boasted to friends in the UK that he had fought as a child soldier against the forces of former Libya leader Colonel Gaddafi – which he said had forced him to flee the country.
However, his cousin disputed these claims and said Saadallah had fled to avoid conflict.
She added that he heard voices and had psychotic episodes which left him thinking he was being followed.
The cousin, speaking to the Daily Telegraph, added that, three years ago, Saadallah started dating a British woman who was ‘very religious’ and he started going to church, eventually converting to Christianity.
Though the couple have since split, Saadallah maintained his faith, even have a tattoo of a cross etched onto his arm.
His cousin added: ‘ He’s not Muslim any more. It’s like he’s always been in the UK.’
His cousin in Libya said: ‘I can’t believe he’d do anything like this or be involved in anything to do with terrorism. He was at risk of extremists in Libya because he liked to drink and socialise and didn’t lead a strict religious life at all.
‘He started going to church and had tattoos all over his body including one of a cross on his arm. He did get in trouble in England and could be aggressive but I can’t ever imagine him getting drawn into something as serious as this.’
Among his other offences, in March 2019 Saadallah spat at Judge Sophie Toms at Reading magistrates court as she sentenced him for previous offences….

Qur’an 8:30—And (remember) when the unbelievers plotted deception against you (O Muhammad), to imprison you, or kill you, or expel you. They plotted deception, but Allah also plotted deception; and Allah is the best of deceivers.

“…She added that he heard voices and had psychotic episodes which left him thinking he was being followed….”
————————————————————————————————
Hopefully, he WAS being followed. But since no country can permanently allocate teams to monitor every suspect, the sensible thing is to expel all those who plainly indicate that they do not intend to integrate.
Multiple criminal convictions and his obvious contempt for a female judge, were all signs that he had nothing to contribute: I’d trade him for a genuine refugee such as an Egyptian Copt, an Iranian Zoroastrian, a Nigerian Christian, or a white South African farmer any day of the week.

I remember, Jesus preached ” Kill them where you find them. Strike them in the neck”
I believe it was “The Sermon on the Mount”
Steve Muir says
I just googled that phrase and Google found several references in the Quran. and not one reference to Jesus and for your edification here is the sermon on the mount The Beatitudes
He said:
3 “Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
4 Blessed are those who mourn,
for they will be comforted.
5 Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
6 Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
for they will be filled.
7 Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
8 Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God.
9 Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Salt and Light
13 “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.
14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.

Steve, DP111 is being *sarcastic* here. He is a long time Anti-Jihadist here.

He wasn’t being followed closely enough.

There are too many suspected Jihadists in Britain to follow them all. That this is the case should in itself be a head’s up…
Jayell says
If this character was ever a Christian, I’m the Virgin Mary’s Great Uncle. He probably ‘converted’ simply to get a little bit of practice at nocturnal athletics with his new-found church-going girlfriend, which makes a bit of a change since normally he would have demanded that she convert to his side of the religious divide – never to return in one piece. Perhaps one should only expect a person of an islamic disposition to understand religious dedication in terms of procreative licence; after all, that was the summit of the Great Prophet’s religious aspirations (such as they were). I find the tattoo business interesting, since I’ve never ever known converts to Christianity do that sort of thing – Jesus specifically preached against ostentatious exhibitionism, unlike Mohammed. Maybe our friend got his ‘Prophets’ a bit muddled up. The paranoid ‘delusions’ of being followed would usually have a basis in reality for muslims, since converting to another religion should attract the death penalty for a muslim, or at least (as a convert to Christianity in Bradford discovered a few years ago) constant persecution and having one’s kneecaps shot to pieces. It’s also interesting that one who claimed to have discovered the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ and Christian dedication to good of all humanity should then proceed to join the struggle for islamic supremacy with its rather more selective view of the ‘Brotherhood of Man’ and what passes for ‘civilised behaviour’. Still, the UK media have fallen for all this. Well, with their track record of ‘honesty’and ‘moral integrity’ they would, wouldn’t they?

I disagree, Jayell. Schizophrenia can make the patient do a lot of strange behaviors. Seeking the love of God by going to church could have been the result of his voices, or it could have been a genuine spiritual feeling to be a better person. Once removed from a supportive community he turned to jihad to vent his frustration. Reza Aslan was an evangelical Christian then became a supporter of theocratic Iran. I have doubts about his mental health too.
mortimer says
By the way, Jayell, being mentally ill doesn’t stop many people from having a deep spiritual life.
gravenimage says
Jayell, so far as I know some relative said that he had converted to Christianity. I haven’t heard anything to back up this claim.
Coptic Christians do indeed very often have tattoos of a cross, usually on their wrists, as a show of defiance and faith. But that would make less sense for someone in Britain.
And Mortimer, Reza Aslan started out as a Shia Muslim–his adherence to the vicious Mullahs has nothing to do with Christianity. He was only Christian very briefly in high school.
Then, there is no reason to believe that Khairi Saadallah is schizophrenic–this is the standard “mental illness” claim. His attack was orthodox Jihad terror.

April 20th, huh? How interesting that this enemy of the state is granted a free pass on Hitler’s birthday. Funny how things unfold. Austrian bureaucrats were worried about leaving this poor terrorist stateless all the while he was plotting to make non-Muslims lifeless.

I don’t see any reason to doubt this.
Niemoller says
Mr. Spencer is being very generous to treat this guy as possibly anything but a Islamic supremacist and murdering jihadist.
Mr. Spencer must be careful because of cretinous groups like the SPLC and CAIR waiting to exploit the slightest mistep of counterjihadists simply documenting the global violent destruction caused by Islamic fanatics.
The SPLC lost its way a long time ago; now it attacks counterjihadists for donations; its a legal racket. CAIR is simply the political wing of jihad in the USA.

The perpetrator’s name was Khairi SaadAllah.
Saad (Arabic: سعد, romanized: Saʿd) (also spelled Sa’ad) is a common male Arabic given name that means felicity, happiness, prosperity, success and good luck.
As a historical footnote, it was the wounded Sa’d b. Mu’adh who was selected to pass judgement on the Banu Qurayza tribe. He ordered that they all the men be killed, the property divided, and the women and children taken as captives. So 600 – 900 were beheaded in the marketplace of Medina. (Life of Muhammad, p. 464)
mortimer says
If Saadallah is indeed schizophrenic, it is a very sad and cruel existence he endures. I can see that someone who suffers from this illness and who doesn’t have a strong medical support and a family’s love will feel like a wanderer in a strange land. Adult schizophrenics should live in sheltered communities where they can receive the support of various kinds that they need.
gravenimage says
Mortimer, most schizophrenics are not violent. Most Jihadists are, though…

Many schizophrenics are not violent ,the combination of Islam and schizophrenia ,both things cause a lost of touch with reality ,paranoia ,illogical thinking, are a dangerous mix.My uncle was a schizophrenic he was nonviolent and suffer very scary hallucinations was more a danger to himself then others.I always though that Mohammad might have suffered from schizophrenia with what he said he saw in the cave and how it effected him.

umm-m-m, maybe in the beginning, wpm, but i rather think he came to like his 20% cut of all the loot stolen by the ummah once he became a warlord. with enough sex slaves and stolen goods, even a schizo or a paranoid can begin to feel a little less put upon.

I was not making excuses for Mohammad,s s bad behavior ,or he was a despot ,murdering raping, looting ,lying ,thieving ,warlord.I am saying in my opinion his visions in the cave seem like a a schizophrenic hallucination .You can be a violent criminal a danger to society at large and mental ill at the same time.

Violent mental ill criminals should be removed from society.

UK: MI5 suspected that “Christian” migrant who stabbed three to death was planning to go to Syria to join the jihad
……………..
Yeah–sounds like a “Christian” to me. Funny that no one has turned up a church, pastor, or any Christian friends for this murderer.
John Silvis says
Paraphrasing Wafa Sultan, it is impossible, impossible for a person to read the story of Mohamed and believe it to be true, then go on to lead a normal mentally healthy life. Islam itself creates psychopathic behaviors in many of its believers. Islam itself is a major cause of psychopathic behavior in the world. It is insane in and of itself and is a religion of totally irrational violence and hate.
David says
It has now emerged that the three murdered men were all homosexual. The police now think this could have been a homophobic attack – no doubt bolstered by all the anti-homosexual pronouncements of fellow muslims that this vile young Libyan had heard when he was growing up.
But the usual LGBT spokesmen, not to mention the BBC, have so far been silent about this. If a white man had killed these three homosexual men, the BBC would be giving us 24/7 coverage of how homophobic the far-right is.
Two lessons to be learned from these horrific murders.
One – deport all asylum seekers who have committed crimes.
Two – restore the death penalty for murder.
