Hossein Reyhani faces the death penalty for the charge of “fighting Allah,” because he sent a text message saying “a bank was set on fire.” This is because the text discussed opposition to the regime and suggested that Reyhani opposed it, and to oppose the Islamic regime is to oppose Allah. The Qur’an says: “Fight them; Allah will punish them by your hands and will disgrace them and give you victory over them and satisfy the breasts of a believing people, and remove the fury in the believers’ hearts.” (9:14-15) So if one must fight unbelievers so that Allah can punish them, to fight the executors of Allah’s wrath is likewise to fight Allah himself.
“Khamenei’s ‘Islamic Kindness’ Turned Into Threats, Torture And Death Penalty,” by Reza Haqiqatnezhad, Radio Farda, July 13, 2020 (thanks to The Religion of Peace):
Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei’s order to treat those jailed for protests in Iran in November 2019, may in fact have been a call for maximum pressure on inmates in security prisons.
The Iranian Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA) on July 11 featured a letter by Hossein Reyhani, an Iranian who has been in jail since the November 2019 protests to rising gas prices….
In the letter on HRANA’s website, Reyhani says: “It might sound funny but I am in jail simply because I sent a text message to a friend and told him that “a bank was set on fire.”
A court in Tehran charged Reyhani with “fighting Allah,” an accusation that can entail the death penalty, simply because he sent a text message….
Ironically, four days before Reyhani’s arrest last autumn, Khamenei ordered his security chief Ali Shamkhani to treat those arrested in the protests with “Islamic kindness and affection.”
Seven months after Khamenei’s order the accusation of “fighting Allah” is hanging over Reyhani’s neck, and three young men Amir Hossein Moradi, Saeed Tamjidi and Mohammad Rajabi are given death sentences in Tehran and eight other inmates in Isfahan are charged with “corruption on earth,” another conviction that can entail death sentence.

Shia are masters of Taquiyya. Whenever mislims talk of Human values like kindness, it is a given that they mean something else .
mortimer says
Yes, Mural, welcome to OPPOSITE-LAND! Allah and Mohammed usually say the OPPOSITE of what they say according to the SHI’ITE and SUNNITE mullahs.
Allah and Mohammed are such terribly confusing communicators that the mullahs must explain how they mostly mean the opposite of whatever it is they say.
mortimer says
Once you learn about ‘IslamicOppositeTalk’, understanding Muslim fanatics like Erdogan is simple!
In IslamicOppositeTalk, the word ‘MERCY’ means ‘HARSHNESS’ and the word ‘KINDNESS’ means ‘REMOVAL OF HUMAN RIGHTS’.
Muslims usually say the REVERSE of what they actually mean … and hide from the dirty kufaar.
When Muslims complain about ‘Islamophobia’, they are actually promoting an Islamic doctrine called Al Walaa wal Baraa … this could also be called ‘kafirophobia’ … the opposite of Islamophobia.

Westman says
Although the arabic version of “love” appears many times in the Quran, when read in context there is no love in the Quran. Like Allah, Khamenei is a doublespeaker; using the words, kindness, love, and affection without a hint of kindness. Jesus talked about such men as whited sepulchers, giving the false appearance of cleanliness while full of the corruption of dead bodies. Very fitting analogy for Khamenei and his mullahs.
To quote, with modification, Mose Allison?, ” The Mullahs are crying Mercy when they don’t know the meaning of the word..”
gravenimage says
Westman, most of the references to love in the Qur’an are abut what Allah does *not love*.

How could anyone fight Allah and expect to win? If an all powerful god such as Allah didn’t want you fighting against ANYTHING you could easily be stopped by the all-powerful god. Therefore, if you do fight against the god the god must want you to do it. Those who convict a man of fighting against Allah are either fighting against the will of Allah themselves or showing their disbelief in the might and power of Allah. See how stupid and illogical Islam is?
James Lincoln says
CogitoErgoSum says,
“See how stupid and illogical Islam is?”
Yes, any clear thinking person can see this, but this causes intense “cognitive dissonance” in muslims – which can only be “relieved” with a pint of blood.
If you point this truth out to the islamic authorities in Iran, you would be killed.
But you knew that already…
Giacomo Latta says
”Khamenei ordered his security chief Ali Shamkhani to treat those arrested in the protests with “Islamic kindness and affection.”
And so it was done. Death for a having sent a text message that said nothing about Islam. Death after many years of torture in prison, of course.

tim gallagher says
Islam and “kindness” and “affection” just don’t go together at all. I associate Islam with words such as hate (for all non-Muslims), terrorist murders, honour killings, rape, paedophilia (underaged girls married off), beheadings, homophobia, primitive social customs, satanic level of hatred, 7th century backwardness that should have disappeared from the human race centuries ago, intolerance and so on. The words “kindness” and “affection” are two of the last words I would ever associate with that inhumane ideology, Islam. This is just more of the usual lies we always get from the Muslim bullshit artists. These Iranian mullahs have no affection or kindness in them.
gravenimage says
So true, Tim.
tim gallagher says
I can’t find any redeeming features in Islam at all, gravenimage. Some Muslims, amazingly, seem OK, but Islam itself is evil and barbaric. It is like some left over from the far distant past.
gravenimage says
Tim, the only thing I can find is the ban on female infanticide, practiced by pagan Arabs. But this was already wrong under Judaism and Christianity, so this from Islam was nothing new.
And the only bit of compassion I can find in all of Islamic texts is this, from the Hadith:
“A Jew and a Jewess were brought to Allah’s Messenger on a charge of committing illegal sexual intercourse….Ibn `Umar added: So both of them were stoned at the Balat and I saw the man sheltering the woman.”
The man tried to protect the woman. In other words, the only sign of compassion in Islamic texts is from *the victims of Islam*.
tim gallagher says
Thanks for that information. Very slim pickings on the compassion front, gravenimage. You seem to almost rival Mortimer when it comes to your knowledge of Islam, Like Mortimer, you are something of a scholar with plenty of detailed knowledge. I don’t know a great amount about Islam, but I do know enough to recognise it as being an evil, barbaric load of backward rubbish from 7th century Arabia, which man should have left behind ages ago, and also I recognise it as very violent, dangerous ideology which has all of us non-Muslims in its sight. My view is that Islam needs to be smashed and , hopefully, as a long term goal, made extinct. For the present, it needs to be shut out of our countries. Just on the nature of Islam versus Christianity, I am amazed at how peaceful and civilised Jesus’ message was, centuries before Islam came along, and how vicious Islam is. Christianity is so advanced and decent in its message when compared with Islam. But, then again, the Aztec religion, the Germanic and Viking pagan religions were vicious, way after Christianity’s peaceful view of life existed. Christianity seems so far ahead of the times in its peaceful message.
gravenimage says
Thank you, Tim–high praise, as Mortimer is so knowledgeable.
Before 9/11, I knew something about Islamic history, but little about the creed itself. After being unable to get any straight answers from third party sources, I picked up a Qur’an about a week after this hideous atrocity. I’m not sure what I expected–perhaps a few ambiguously violent passages, like in the Old Testament, that maybe could be interpreted as applying to the modern day. I know I expected *nothing* like the unremitting ugliness and calls for violence that I found.
And this was before I knew anything about the Meccan and Medinan verses, anything about abrogation, or had ever heard of the Hadith or Sira. The more I learned, the worse it was. But I knew from that first reading of the Qur’an that Islam did indeed teach violence and unrelenting hatred of unbelievers, Ugly, ugly stuff.
tim gallagher says
Well, gravenimage, you do know a lot, plenty of detail. Do you think mortimer is a scholar (an academic) or do you think he is just a person who has really delved deeply into the study of islam? He has an extraordinary and very detailed knowledge of Islam. He should write a book, although, I suppose, he is writing a book with his entries here at Jihad Watch. I began to read up on Islam, because I could see what trouble it seemed to cause (in Australia and everywhere else) early in the 2000’s. The best book I found early on was Robert Spencer’s “Islam Unveiled”, which was in a local library. I read a bit of Ali Sina, the ex-Muslim, on the internet, then came across Jihad Watch a fair bit later. I looked at the Koran in a local library to check on whether those calls for Muslims to kill non-Muslims were really there. I have to say I couldn’t read much of the Koran as I found it insufferably boring, but I did think it was obsessional in its hatred of non-Muslims. That was my main impression of it. I have mentioned this a few times, but I find it extraordinary. Way back in 1979, a Belgian guy, who was travelling here in Australia, and was a friend of a friend, said to me “Australia is a great place, don’t let Muslims in or they’ll wreck the place”. I knew nothing much and said, “Oh, I think it’ll turn out alright”. I think he must have noticed a few Muslims around. What insight he had so early on. A pioneer with his early insights. I think he might have had a run in with a violent Muslim (or several) back in Belgium way back then. What I said above about how peaceful Christianity is compared to islam, and so long before Islam, is something that often strikes me. So different. Civilised ideals versus barbarism. As you say Islam is ugly alright. So many people still keep telling us it deserves respect. Absolutely ridiculous.
gravenimage says
Tim, I’m not sure what Mortimer’s background is–he doesn’t talk about any personal matters here–but he certainly is knowledgeable about Islam.
I think, like you, that a lot of us started to look into Islam a couple of decades ago. I discovered Jihad Watch in 2006, a couple of years after its founding. No single site better for opposing the Jihad.
And you are right that the Qur’an, besides everything else, is deeply boring.
tim gallagher says
I agree, gravenimage, Jihad Watch is excellent. I admire Robert Spencer more than any of the other fighters against islam, (though they are great as well-people like David Wood, Pamela Geller, et al) and have for a long time. Do you also write to politicians and media types and try to wake them up to Islam’s evil nature? That’s something I used to do from time to time, but I must say I haven’t bothered to do so lately. I think I got through to a few of them, at least to a slight degree. I was convinced that many of them knew absolutely nothing about Islam’s nature, so I thought I’d try to impart a bit of knowledge to them.
gravenimage says
Tim, I carry on regular letter writing campaigns to elected officials, heads of schools and organizations, and those in the media, etc. I realize that most of this stuff heads straight for the shredder, but if enough of us make our concerns known it is bound to make a difference. I always feel I could do more, though.
And yes–a few may actually look into Islam, even if at a later date. I know I did–I had some in-laws who knew that Islam was evil when I was in high school–I rather dismissed it at the time, but remembered their words years later. I wish they had still been with us so I could have thanked them–you never know who you might influence.
And I very much agree with you about those like Pamela Geller and David Wood–also great Anti-Jihadists. The more the better.
tim gallagher says
gravenimage, that’s true that you never know who you might manage to wake up. I suppose I have given a bit of knowledge to some of our politicians. You never know if it was you, or someone else, that got through to them. I know I wrote to a former Prime Minister in Australia, Tony Abbott, when he was Prime Minister, and informed him of the calls in the Koran for Muslims to kill non-Muslims. Of course, maybe thousands of other people had also informed him of these quotes, but, a while later, unfortunately he was no longer Prime Minister, he began to mention these calls in the Koran. I see what you mean about your in-laws planting a seed in you about Islam’s evil nature.. I’m sure you probably do get through to some of the people you write to. Of course, I only ever used to write to people who I think might actually take notice. Some left wing types I wouldn’t waste my time on.
gravenimage says
Yes, Tim.
And Tony Abbott has been one of the better Western leaders of recent times.
Jerome B Bigge says
A thought here: The US should adopt a policy of treating “every” “special interest group” (racial, religious, etc) in the exact same way as US citizens are treated where the “special interest group” is the majority. So Muslims in the US get the same treatment as Christians do in Islamic countries. Apply this to every group and nationality. Perhaps a Constitutional Amendment? Everyone gets the same treatment… Isn’t that “fair”?
gravenimage says
Civilized people don’t act this way.
