The Qur’an contains numerous condemnations of homosexual activity: “And [We had sent] Lot when he said to his people, ‘Do you commit such immorality as no one has preceded you with from among the worlds? Indeed, you approach men with desire, instead of women. Rather, you are a transgressing people.’…And We rained upon them a rain [of stones]. Then see how was the end of the criminals.” (Qur’an 7:80-84)
Muhammad specifies the punishment for this in a hadith: “The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) said, ‘Whoever you find doing the action of the people of Loot, execute the one who does it and the one to whom it is done.’” (Sunan Abu Dawud 4462)
Will gay rights advocates say a word about this? Of course not. It has long been established that in the hierarchy of politically correct causes, Islam trumps gay rights. When AFDI ran ads highlighting the mistreatment of gays in Islamic law, the San Francisco Board of Supervisors issued a resolution condemning not that mistreatment, but our ads. Gay advocates such as Theresa Sparks and Chris Stedman attacked us for daring to call attention to the institutionalized mistreatment of gays under Islamic law. It was that, or risk not being invited to the best parties. They’re also far more concerned with Christian opposition to gay marriage, despite the fact that Christianity does not call for them to be put to death.
“Turkish college student threatened with ISIS-style execution for promoting LGBT+ rights,” Ahval News, July 11, 2020:
A university student promoting an upcoming lecture on LGBT+ rights was threatened online to be thrown off a tall building, a method of execution used by the Islamic State (ISIS) militant group against people deemed members of the LGBT+ community, Birgün newspaper reported on Saturday.
Nazli Ikra Öztay, a political sciences student at Ankara University, received the threat on Whatsapp after she announced an event called “LGBTI+ rights struggle on campus” to other groups involving university students on the popular messaging app.
“I was confronted with a private message saying, ‘Delete that immoral message’,” Öztay told Birgün, adding that her friend received a similar message.
“Delete that message and do not again make the (Whatsapp) group a grounds for your depravity again,” the message to Öztay said. “We’ll never get used to it, and we’ll throw you off tall buildings.”
ISIS frequently uses the method of throwing people from the high buildings, posting images of such executions of LGBT+ individuals on social media in recent years.
Öztay said after some investigating, she and her friend learned the message was a freshman from the Political Sciences department in the university who was a member of a jihadist gang, living in Syria “from time to time”….
Ty says
Awful! I’ve said it once, I’ll say it again. The world doesn’t want us.
gravenimage says
Ty, this is true of the *Muslim* world–but not true of most of the free West. I stand with you!
Rufolino says
At present, Graven, political correctness in the West demands that everyone is “tolerant”.
But hidden underneath political correctness, lies the truth.
The truth is, people are much less tolerant than their pose currently suggests.
gravenimage says
I think most people in the West are quite tolerant, Rufolino–Islam, not so much.
Uma Maheswar Nakka says
Islam is followed by Muslims. And do this mean the messages are to be followed by every other religion.
And do this mean Muslims have right on deciding the future of such kind of Men or women in other religions?
And lastly is this the same with such kind of people among Muslims themselves?
curious says
By design, Islam brings out the worst in people, and Islamic sophistry gives them an excuse (even a command) to do their worst. Islam does not belong in the west at all, and certainly not in NATO. The hateful fraud of the dead charlatan Mohamad threatens humanity everywhere.
All non-Muslims should know the horrible things that Islam says about them. That includes especially anyone who supports the struggle for equal rights for LGBTI people. I admire the courage of anyone who dares to stand up in Ankara, especially using her own name, but I worry that Muslims will murder her as they have threatened to do, and as they have done to countless millions of other people.
Chistopher Watson says
Maybe in some future, moslem-free Europe they will wonder why our leaders allowed us to be taken over by a dangerous, homicidal, woman-hating group of morons.
DH says
I used to think that non-Muslim apologists for Islam would eventually realize that Islam is not “just another religion” much less a peaceful one. Not anymore. The shackles of identifying oneself with negatives, I am NOT a racist – I am NOT a Republican, etc. must be very strong in some people, strong enough to override common sense and decency.
James Lincoln says
DH,
It sometimes goes further than that.
Not being a racist is not good enough – you have to be anti-racist.
gravenimage says
Being anti-racist is not enough for many groups like BLM–you have to be ashamed of being white, no matter what your values.
James Lincoln says
Correct, gravenimage.
That would be the third – and crazy – layer of the onion…

Turkey: Muslims threaten to murder student for promoting lecture on LGBT rights

*Hideous*.
God, I hate Islam.
Ivan Johnston says
Have a look at Turks and dancing boys, these people are despicable

Yes–homosexuality is considered fine so long as it involves pedophilia or same sex rape. If it is a consensual relationship between consenting adults, not so much…
AntiIslamicman says
Islam hates gays but it’s ok to be a pedophile like their false prophet Muhammad. Rape is also permissible In this Islamic ideology, how sick is Islam.

Grimly true.
