Abraham Naveed Quraishi was participating in a Leftist riot and apparently has a history of anti-police activity. So his alleged terrorist plotting may have nothing to do with jihad at all. Or he may be another Urooj Rahman or Dzenan Camovic, both of whom are prime examples of the Leftist-jihadist alliance, and who both emerged during the recent Leftist riots. We will likely never know in Quraishi’s case, as neither Florida law enforcement nor the local media are likely to pursue this line of inquiry, as enlightening as to his motives as it might be.
“St. Pete protester caught with Molotov cocktail, loaded gun, police say,” by Ryan Smith, WFTS, August 21, 2020 (thanks to Creeping Sharia):
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. — A St. Petersburg protester has been charged with terrorist activity after police discovered a Molotov cocktail in his car that was parked outside of police headquarters.
Police arrested 26-year-old Abraham Quraishi for inciting a riot and resisting arrest with violence during a June 3 protest outside of police headquarters.
The arrest was reported on the following day as Chief Anthony Holloway described how Quraishi threw a round of ammunition at the direction of officers during the protest. Officers soon realized Quraishi was carrying a loaded firearm without a permit.
Days later, investigators discovered Quraishi parked his car as close to police headquarters due to the barricades on the night of the arrest.
A report states Quraishi called his uncle from jail and directed him to tow his locked vehicle to Pinellas Park. Police later discovered a Molotov cocktail inside the vehicle.
A swab tested positive for flammable liquid.
“If the defendant was not arrested, there is reason to believe the defendant was going to discharge the device,” an arrest report states.
According to police, there were approximately 30 to 40 people at the protest that night and numerous officers in and outside the police building.
Also concerning, police say, are several videos investigators uncovered on Quraishi’s phone.
One video, according to court documents, shows Quraishi outside the St. Pete Police Department with his rifle, captioned “stay home.”
Another allegedly shows Quraishi holding a firearm passing by the old St. Pete Police building with the caption “thinking about.”
A third video shows Quraishi driving by the new St. Pete Pier with the caption “pigs guarding the pier I ran a few nights ago.” The video allegedly then shows Quraishi panning the camera to a Molotov cocktail and a rifle.
A report also stated that these videos depict “apparent reconnaissance from high vantage points of SPPD and other critical infrastructure.”
ABC Action News reporter Ryan Smith reached out to local St. Pete protesters who said “the one person who met him that night claims that he traveled from Polk County to protest and has not been back consistently since.”
Just this week, police say they arrested Quraishi’s roommate for setting off a Molotov cocktail in a St. Pete parking lot.
Seanfrancis Ziegenbein, 23, is charged with making or discharging a destructive device….

Florida: Muslim caught with Molotov cocktail, loaded gun, charged with terrorist activity
……………..
A Muslim caught weapons and engaged in terrorist activity? Say it ain’t so!
somehistory says
Sadly, Florida has been invaded by moslims, many of them intent on turning my home state from “The Sunshine State” to something dark and ugly, a state of unrest and subjugation to the evils of islam.
Good to hear that arrests…and charges fitting the crime, terrorism…have been made. Hopefully, more arrests and similar charges will be forthcoming in the cases of other terrorist moslims in Florida….and elsewhere.
Mac says
Hello fellow Floridian. I was born here and have watched it change over the years. Where I live (a predominantly Jewish area) two mosques have been built up in the past decade. The noise and traffic from these mosques is very disruptive.
Sigh.
somehistory says
I too was born in Florida at a time when one never heard of moslims or saw their barracks or heard any of what they have to say. No women wearing ugly body bags or headscarves on hot summer days.
The state certainly has changed, and it certainly isn’t getting better than those ‘good ole days.” There were problems then, but nothing like what islam has brought nor wrought. It saddens me a great deal.
University towns are the worst as moslims from all over the world arrive to be “students” and to make all of the changes they can.
Hang in there. I have a feeling that big changes are coming soon and for the better.

I wonder how many stupid white women are offering to marry him while in prison?
KG Kate Stevens says
A woman doesn’t have to be white or stupid to offer to marry a prisoner
gravenimage says
In almost all cases this is a clear sign of stupidity. Does KG Kate here think that corresponding with this Jihadist thug with an eye to romance would be a good move?
somehistory says
Insane, maybe. Many women who marry prisoners…many of the prisoners are serial killers, mass murderers, or like Scott Peterson so well known…infamous…that the women see themselves as getting a spot in the limelight. A few have been interviewed by the large news orgs regarding thier decision. They don’t think about the bad consequences of making such a “stupid”, insane delusional, psychopathic, decision. They can just pretend to be “loved.”

Somehistory, I can only think of a single case like this that *wasn’t* insane–a woman who had known a fellow since they were kids kept in touch after he was sent to prison for murder and most of his friends had broken ties. They married when he was in prison. He had no other criminal record.
He maintained that he was innocent and she believed him. Usually this is terribly naive–but it turned out that he *was* innocent–the real perpetrator, a distant cousin who lived nearby and who looked a lot like him–confessed to a cellmate when he was in jail for an unrelated crime, who told authorities. There was enough evidence that didn’t fit with the first guy that they were able to convict.
The fellow was released and able to rebuild his life with the woman who had stuck by him.
This sort of thing is *incredibly* rare (I wish I kept note of the guy’s name).
But for a woman to get involved with a man when all she knows about him is that he is a violent felon is much different, and in almost all cases is the very definition of stupid.
somehistory says
g,
I used to watch all those shows on cold case…the real ones, not the tv. series that was fictional, forensic files, and some others about real cases. When studying about crime and terror in university, I had to read up on so many murderers, accused, etc, and one can hardly believe some of the things people do .
I recall one case much like one to which you refer, and he too was innocent, a person living nearby was the guilty party, but his wife lied and gave him an alibi.
When watching the interviews done with the women who “love serial killers,” it is obvious that they just want to be famous so much, or they just want a guy so much, they don’t care which guy it is or how their “fame” is viewed by society.
They are totally lacking in common sense. It that is the definition of “stupid,” then stupid fits. Any woman who gets involved with someone they don’t know, only knowing that they have been sent to prison for a horrible crime, or crimes, has some pieces of her thinking brain cells that are missing or severely distorted/damaged.
I met a few women in Texas who married moslims…and began wearing the scarves, etc,…who married to help the guy stay in the country and/or they thought his “culture” was ever so romantic. And they didn’t mind the attention they received due to wearing the scarves and long dresses with long sleeves on hot Texas summer days, either.
They would smile a secret little smile and imply that all was wonderful.
Stupid with a capital S.

Agreed, Somehistory.
As for the story I cited, all I can remember is that this was a magazine article I read some time ago–probably back in the ’90s or early 2000s.
OLD GUY says
This type of violence will only grow worse as we allow these islamic/muslim men to use migration to invade our country and homes.
David Darman says
I missed the part of this report that connects the perp as committed to any political position, Can one of the regular readers fill in the blanks? Moreover, I wish RS would offer his definition of leftist. In my opinion, carelessly invoking charged terms (like leftist) doesn’t help to advance RS’s contribution to sociopolitical policy.
In the absence of convincing evidence of the perp’s political philosophy, this appears to more of RS’s shoot-from-the-hip condemnation of leftist or progressive political philosophy. He paints antisocial Muslims thugs/jihadis as political leftists. However, the only definition of leftism consistently proffered here is tautological. That is:
1) a leftist is defined as anyone who is insufficiently antagonistic to Islam and,
2) anyone insufficiently antagonistic to Islam is, ipso facto, a leftist.
I see the foregoing as RS’s Achilles heel.
gravenimage says
David, the implication that it is conservatives demonstrating against the police is pretty silly.
You used to be a real Anti-Jihadist–sadly, of late the only posts I have seen of yours here are castigating Robert Spencer for daring to note that too often those on the left tend to enable Islam.
David Darman says
Please define “left.”
gravenimage says
This is just terribly sad.
David Darman says
What is sad?
p.s. Can you answer my question(s)?
gravenimage says
I find it sad that you no longer post here as an Anti-Jihadist, David, This is actually important.
David Darman says
Of course I am “anti-jihad” as well anti-Islam. It’s just that I don’t agree with mindlessly conflating “leftist” with “jihadi.” Try reading more carefully. Nowhere has RS supported his allegation that the perp has leftist political views. One nut case being present at a rally is not sufficient evidence to support a leftist jihad alliance and it is silly to think so.
