There is nothing to calm down about. Brexit Party Leader Nigel Farage was correct that the UK should declare a national emergency over the “invasion” via the English Channel. As tensions rise between the UK and France, the only positive factor is that globalist France is inadvertently admitting the error of its suicidal immigration policies, but persists in refusing to take any responsibility for what it has done.
France blames the UK, which is guilty of the same immigration policy failure: “President of the National Society for Rescue at Sea in Calais, Bernard Barron, also suggested Britain should ‘criticise themselves’ and question ‘the reasons that make their country so attractive’ to Third World migrants. The remarks could be interpreted as a criticism of Britain’s generous welfare and asylum systems, and how they compare to France.”
Barron’s question should be pondered: the West is attractive to migrants because of their welfare systems. Many, if not most, are not coming to work.
“Calais Mayor Tells Boris to ‘Calm Down’, Claims Illegal Migration Is UK’s Fault” by Victoria Friedman, Breitbart, August 14, 2020:
The Mayor of Calais has said that Boris Johnson should “calm down” about illegal boat migrants crossing the English Channel from France.
Natacha Bouchart — who recently said that the United Kingdom sending the Royal Navy into the Channel to solve the crisis would be a “declaration of maritime war” — also claimed the migrant crisis was Britain’s fault.
“If the migrants want to cross [the Channel], it is because the British themselves put out the call. They have done so by failing to touch their legislation for 20 years,” Ms Bouchart told AFPTV on Thursday, according to The Guardian.
“Therefore I appeal to Boris Johnson, saying you urgently need to calm down, and urgently need to change your methods of … dealing with migrants,” the regional mayor added.
She also told France’s interior minister Gérald Darmanin, who is in current talks with his British counterpart Priti Patel to come to a solution to the crisis, not to “give in” — because the “British don’t know how to negotiate”.
“It’s only by standing firm that you achieve something,” she said.
Bouchart is not the only French politician to claim that the increase in boat landings — 4,198 at the latest official count this year — is the fault of the British.
Deputy mayor of Calais Philippe Mignonet told La Voix du Nord on Tuesday in comments reported by The Times: “I fear a tragedy one day, but the British blame us for their own hypocrisy.”
Mr Mignonet added that one of the reasons migrants want to come to the United Kingdom is because it is easy to find employment there, as “they can work in the black economy when they want, because there is no control, not on the street or in the workplace”
President of the National Society for Rescue at Sea in Calais, Bernard Barron, also suggested Britain should “criticise themselves” and question “the reasons that make their country so attractive” to Third World migrants.
The remarks could be interpreted as a criticism of Britain’s generous welfare and asylum systems, and how they compare to France.
Migrants waiting to cross the Channel have reportedly claimed that it can take years for French authorities to process their claims for financial benefits and access to health care is restricted.
While in the United Kingdom, illegals and asylum seekers can apply immediately for financial and housing assistance even if their asylum claims have not been processed. They also have immediate access to health care and education for their school-aged children….

Galling though it might be. Perhaps she is right. These people have no right to come into another country and demand the things that they ran away from, Sharia law, mega mosques, halal butcheries. They are indoctrinated to hate their host countries and have committed unforgiveable atrocities on European people. They should not be automatically given the same rights that tax paying Brits have. Legislation must be introduced to restrict their rights to housing, education, the health service and income. If this is done, despite the bleating of the snowflakes, those alien containing dinghies will be a thing of the past. Come on Boris, do something for once in your life.

Hmmm. Worth consideration.
But, until the Brits stop voting for those who’ve created that free, free, free system…

All Islam-savvy British patriots should be supporting and voting for Anne Marie Waters’ For Britain party. The rest of us, throughout the West, should also give our support.

The problem is that the mass of the UK electorate is both apathetic and swayed by the MSM when it comes to politics – indeed when it comes to anything. I am amazed by the number in my acquaintance who live in a complacent bubble of ignorance. Not only do they not watch alternative media, they don’t even seem to know it exists. They buy into the MSM accusations that people like Tommy Robinson and Katie Hopkins, anyone who tells the truth about Islam in fact, are right wing racists. Most of them have never heard of AMW and if they did they would dismiss her in the same way. I totally support the aims of AMW but fear that, long haul or not, as she describes it, she has little chance of much success. The left now, don’t do democracy any more and I am afraid any sign of real progress on her part will result in some form of non-democratic shut down or side-lining – witness the attempt to proscribe the AfD in Germany. An example of the ignorance/naivety I mentioned: I live in France and recently told an acquaintance – we were discussing the Notre Dame fire – that during 2018, 1063 churches across France were attacked, severely vandalised, and violently desecrated, and his response was ‘Who would do that?’ When I told him he just went very quiet and changed the subject. It would appear that not only do these people not know – they don’t want to know.

I disagee. Equality of citizenship is a basic right in democratic countries. The solution to the incompatibility of Muslims is to keep them out. Let Muslims seek refuge in Muslim countries. There is no right to immigrate. It is a privilege which should be granted only to people who share fundamental values. This common sense requirement excludes all Muslims, whose first loyalty is to their “religion” rather than the state. Ex- Muslims should be welcomed in most cases.
Savvy Kafir says
Agreed! It is suicidal folly to allow Muslims to enter (or remain in) any Western nation. The only effective safeguard for the long-term survival of civilized societies is to kick them out and keep them out. All of them.

I agree, genuine apostates can be most helpful in the fight against jihad.
It also emphasizes that it is the hatred of the islamic religious / political ideology – and not the person.
And it crushes the racist, xenophobic, etc., narrative…

I seriously don’t know what all the fuzz is about the UK is already a shit hole thanks to british themselves so let’s see….
Sharia courts , cops arresting those who exercise their free speech , cops covering up under age gang rapes , brits are on the streets while migrants are fully accommodated, you can be pro jihad etc etc etc

Good point.

You are right and it is inevitable that it will get worse. At the moment there are only two electable parties in the UK, and with no discernable difference in their policies on ME mass immigration – or much else, for that matter – it makes no difference which one you vote for.
mortimer says
Natacha Bouchart’s logic is screwball. We don’t blame a bank for attracting bank robbers. Illegal migrants are breaking laws as well.
The blame-the-victim accusation was used in rape cases in the past. However, the lack of self-restraint and lawlessness of the migrants is the reason for their law-breaking.
Mike Stevens says
Who can blame the French, when thousands from alien cultures are using their country only as a stepping stone to get to Britain and its instant, generous welfare system? And a country unlike ‘racist’ France, which appears to welcome ‘migrants’ (illegal immigrants, let’s be clear) and deports less than 3%. Despite the vast majority of its population being against futher mass illegal immigration.
When the ‘brutal, racist’ French police clear camps and destroy or confiscate tents, as they do every few days, what happens? British charities like Care4Calais go through the woods looking for ‘migrants’, replacing tents and giving them supplies. Ready for their next attempt to cross the Channel.
James Lincoln says
Here’s the welfare “magnet” from the gov.uk website:
“Overview
You may be able to get housing and money to support you and your family while you’re waiting to find out if you’ll be given asylum.
This also means your children will go to a free state school and you may get free healthcare from the National Health Service (NHS).
You can still apply for short-term support if you’ve been refused asylum and are preparing to leave the UK.
Call an asylum helpline for free help with asylum support or short-term support.”

David says
There’s no doubt about it. The UK is a soft touch compared to France.
If only we were to put all illegal immigrants into French-style detention camps instead of 4 star hotels & make it clear to all those who crossed the Channel that we will never give them citizenship & will return them to their home countries.
If they refuse to tell us their home countries, keep them in camps until they do and do not give them spending money – just water & British food – no halal options.
Also no visitors, especially journalists, allowed into camps
It would eventually send the message that giving large sums to traffickers for flimsy rubber dinghies to cross the Channel is pointless.
Mike Stevens says
Well, said, David. and did you know that the cost of a place on a boat (according to the many pro-migrant charities in the UK) is 3000 – 4000 euros? In other words, THESE ARE NOT THE WORLD’S POOR. They are the better off, even rich, of the countries they have abandoned, many of them purely with an eye on an easy life in Britain at the expense of the British people. Which, of course, is precisely what they are being given. No wonder they keep coming.
Even if some hope to work, because of the pandemic there are millions of British workers struggling financially or facing unemployment. We have no jobs for our own people, let alone these mostly unskilled, unqualified ‘migrants’ from the world’s two most backward and violent cultures.

The French attitude is a bit like having the hoarders next door blame you for the vermin leaving their house and going to yours.

France: Calais mayor blames UK for migrant crisis, tells Boris Johnson to ‘calm down
……………………..
More from the appalling Natacha Bouchart, And the idea that the only problem here is that Britain has not changed her laws to allow even larger hordes of Muslims to flood in is insane.
Also glad to hear Boris Johnson finally breaking his silence here.
Myron J. Poltroonian says
Hmm. I hate to admit it, but I agree with Bochard in this point: ” … to come to a solution to the crisis, not to ‘give in’ — because the ‘British don’t know how to negotiate’ … .” At least not since they lost Margret Thatcher and, especially her inspiration: “If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory is sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all the odds against you with only a precarious chance of survival. There may even be a worse case. You may have to fight when there is not hope of victory at all, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.” -Winston Churchill
James Lincoln says
Myron,
Much thanks for the Winston Churchill quote…
Dawne says
Of course the French are completely correct and they have been saying this for as long as the migrant crisis and the Calais camps of “refugees” have been there, which is years. They are not behaving well in terms of pushing the boats into British waters, but successive British governments including this one have singularly failed to deal with the pull factors for illegal migrants. All of our work processes need to be tightened up so that no illegal immigrants can work, and our benefits system needs overhauling so that illegal migrants are not treated as they are now.
The British government should set up an “Assessment Centre” in Kent near to the port at Dover, bring all illegal immigrants coming over in boats there, give them food, water and any urgent medical care, and then take their names, dates of birth & nationalities, check over their papers (most have destroyed them so that they can lie about the country of origin), take their fingerprints and then IMMEDIATELY put them straightaway onto specially chartered ferries back to France to hand them over to French authorities.
All of these illegal immigrants have come through at least one safe country (France) to get to the UK. Legally they are therefore not “asylum seekers” in the UK, they are illegal immigrants. We just need to cut this off at the point of entry and stop them getting into the system from where they are often never even processed properly and certainly never sent back despite being illegals. Enforcing this system rigidly would end the “pull” factor for the illegal migration and would also help to end these horrendous camps in and around Calais.
